6:17 It is set 4. Set 3 went by really fast. Basically, set 3 started and they went to Shirabu's (Shiratorizawa setter) backstory and it shows the finish of set 3 with Shirabu setting to Ushiwaka, who spiked the ball so hard that Noya couldn't receive. And they showed the score 25-18. Basically, Shiratorizawa crushed Karasuno in set 3.
Karasuno essentially got blown away in the 3rd set because Shirabu (the Shiratorizawa setter) got his finger out and set everything to Ushijima, who finally started hitting at 100%. It took a while for Karasuno to regroup.
One thing about Shiratorizawa is that their team style isn't necessarily just "have one super star handle everything." Rather it's more like gather anyone who can be strong and focus on strengthening their specific talent. Then put these pieces together as a team, even if they don't synergize perfectly. The clearest example of this would be Tendo who they mentioned is a highly skilled 1v1 blocker, but not necessarily blocking because he's a team player. Then add in the coach's personal preference for height and strength, then you get the team they are now.
I think that Shiratorizawa has very good and powerful but individual players. I do feel that they kind of feature Ushiwaka despite individually having a lot of power. When Shirabu (Shiratorizawa's setter) has his flashback, he indicates that he wants to be a different kind of setter. Unlike Kageyama and Oikawa, Shirabu wants to limit being a 'control tower'; in other words, he wants to let Ushiwaka dictate more of how things will go in the game, which can be done because of Ushiwaka's technical knowledge and his prowess. The jump from the third set to the fourth was confusing for me at first. When Ushiwaka passes and talks to Hinata is the court change between sets 3 and 4. I think they flash the score for the third set once as well; Shiratorizawa won that set. Oikawa coming to the game in a fancy coat and glasses is peak Oikawa, and it's perfect for his character.
Not really, I could tell when was the 3rd set and who won by looking at the score board that showed 18 (Kara) - 3 (set) - 25 (shira). And by looking at the characters’ reaction it’s obvious that shira won.
@@henrynguyen5343 Well, yeah. It was obvious to tell who won. It’s just that most people didn’t expect it to finish instantly, so they got surprised or even missed it.
@@azazelop5223 Fair point, when I 1st watched it I was expecting it to finish quickly since it would support the story of shira being op and would reduce the amount of work that the author had to put into this long match. I guess that why I didn't get surprised and missed it. But I can see how other people might've missed it.
@@henrynguyen5343 Yeah, it was just a big change of pace compared to the first 2 sets. So it was surprising. But it did make sense for the pacing of the match overall to make it work better.
Honestly Oikawa was such an amazingly written antagonist for S1-2, that because Ushijima was hyped up to be so much better, he kind of fell flat in comparison (to me at least) I still find Oikawa to be the more threatening opponent and even Tendo as well. I didn’t make any emotional connection to Ushijima, however I did enjoy his backstory and how it played out in the future. The one thing I do love about Ushijima is that he’s a “volleyball idiot” in the same sense that Hinata, Kageyama, and Oikawa are. Just completely obsessed with the sport and dedicated which is something I respect :)
I completely agree but I guess Ushijima was meant to be the literal manifestation of the mountain Karasuno needed to climb to go further was shown in the OP. Just raw power and strenght
Oikawa is meant to be an antagonist who's full of emotions so fans can emotionally connect with him. His story really tugs at our heartstrings and he already has a personal connection with one of the Karasuno boys (Kageyama). Ushijima is more of a "volleyball" antagonist, the one where the focus is raw strength and volleyball skills, that's why he's also written to be the top 3 in the nation. While they are both antagonists, their role in Karasuno's journey are different.
I think this is partially due to their style. Shiratorizawa prefers a pure and simple strength, they don't have any tricks up their sleeve or particularly interesting strategies. You know that they'll always send the ball to Ushijima. Oikawa is a little more like Karasuno in that he's willing to do some interesting strategies and use some loose canons in order to win. Some teams are a lot more fun to watch than others, and I would say that Shiratorizawa would have been the most boring team ever without Tendo.
Shiratorizawa crushed them in the third set. They showed it but you guys missed it. They were overly focused after losing the second set, going all-out. Karasuno stood no chance in that set. They even showed the scoreboard.
One thing that really bugged me in seasons 2 and 3 was all the scenes where they flash back to Hinata and Kageyama studying Japanese vocabulary with Yachi. The translation using words like "kindness" or "clumsy" makes the boys seem way more stupid than they are, like they didn't know really basic words before high school.
Is there a rule on this channel that they have to hate evey opnent's team's coach?? Its starting to get anoying and a little repetitive to always hate on the coaches. Its not funny, honestly its kinda lame
Lmao you're taking it too seriously. It's THEIR joke, means they don't care if you don't like it or not nor they don't expect you to get it, because it's their joke after all. They've explained it a long time ago. 🤣
They talk too much and always miss important conversations. Haikyu author has respect for all players and coaches. They are not interested in the opnent's team. Just an enemy.
@@miya-vz5iw its what it seems unfortunately. It such a waste. it feels like they are watching 50% of the show without appreciating all the thought and care that the author put in all the characters. they could be appreciating everything but they chose to be Good vs Evil and forget that they are all kids fighting for the same goal.

The jiddler has been jiddled 😂 laughed so loud!
