Of course the F91W (because i have one). It's simple yet functional. But if i have choose more than one, the other one has to be Grand Seiko because she's that good and beautiful
I've been trying to resist the urge to buy a Chris Ward 12 for months now. It doesn't help that you won't shut up about it! I'm probably going to break down and buy one soon and they should give you commission.
5:25 When I was a young kid, there was a woman living over the road called Stella. Her daughter, Lisa married a man called Neil Armstrong. But he wasn't the real Neil Armstrong. He was just a man with the same name. He hasn't actually been to the moon. They named their first son Louis.
I love that StudioUnderd0g is on this list. I like what they do and would like to have 1 in my lineup. The Grand Seiko snowflake is definitely iconic also. The Omega Speedmaster is certainly another icon for inclusion, and the Snoopy moonwatch is unique and collectable, but the cost makes it prohibitive.
The Omega Speedmaster is certainly one of my grail watches. I love the aesthetic and the history behind it. Same with Grand Seiko - either the White Birch or Snowflake. When I achieve my next milestone, I'd like to get myself one. I'd also like a Casio F91W because I can just go out and buy one at any time, though my DBC-32 kinda scratches that itch already.
I’m with you on these selections, particularly the Twelve. The F91W though isn’t a childhood watch for me-that was a manual wind Timex-and consistent with age the F91W is too small for me to read now! I’m waiting for its 7-year-old battery to give up the ghost so I can upgrade to a full size G-Shock square.
I have been searching and searching for a watch that fits my personal taste for weeks now, since I considered buying my first analogue watch in decades. And I think I just fell head over heels in love with The Twelve. With a 'Nebula Purple' dial this is the most beautiful and outstanding thing to wear on a wrist for me. Gotta start saving 😅
Fantastic collection! One I would add to make it a 6 watch collection is a Fortis Flieger B42 or F43. Tough as a nail, but incredibly accurate and well done.
One of each, please. I have to admit, though that the basket weave on the Christopher Ward really caught my eye. Don’t tell my wife, but I might seriously think about plunging down 10+ thousand dollars for the Omega snoopy moon watch. It does make me smile, you’re right.
grand seiko hibeat dual impulse escapement is the greatest mechanical movement ever made period, they took george daniels co axial escapement to whole different level
What do you call a watch on the arm of a guy with a cell phone displaying the time? -- jewelry. That joke ends with my tool watch, the ultimate 'I'm not jewelry' Citizen Eco Drive Promaster Tough chronograph. This beast is as heavy as a Honda Goldwing, and with knurled pushers and crown, it looks like something you'd need an engineering degree and a decade as a journeyman just to be eligible to buy it. Billet stainless steel, knurled links and hardened titanium coating make this as serious a watch as exists. Multi colored lume on big bright numerals and chrono dials with deep, polished rings give this Promaster enough formality to wear at any black tie event. Still my favorite
It's the Casio AE-1200 World Time for me. More wrist presence than the F91, several colorways (mine is copper over black) and that nerd-cool world map that displays the time zone selected.
In my opinion, the only must-have watch is the watch that you simply want to have personally. regardless of what others say. Buy the watch you want and have a good time with it.
Mine is still the Nomos Tangente. I think there is hardly a younger brand with this much credibility among enthusiasts, they are great value and I just love the design… but maybe I am biased, as this is my daily.
My random watch collection at the moment is G-Shock : GW-M5610-1ER , Hamilton 42mm Khaki Field Auto on leather strap and (don’t judge please) Apple Watch Ultra gen 1
Love your first two. G-Shock,…durable(!!) and functional and the Hamilton Khaki Field 42mm on the leather strap [assuming titanium and blue dial?] is AWESOME! I have the Hamilton,…light as a feather, beautiful dial, and so comfortable. I wear to work, hiking, out on casual excursions. Super watch.
Well, each person has its own reason for collecting something, and that also applies to watch collection. For me the only watch or watches that are worth collecting are the Omega Speedmaster, of which I had 19 different ones, from a Ref 145.012, to a 176.014, to an Omega Marine Chronometer (although not a Speedie, but I liked it), to a 125 Chronometer Chronograph, to a 376.0822 "Holy Grail" to a X-33, together with the Ploprof, and the Monobloc Seamaster 1000, the Certina DS-2 PHM-1000 Pro, to the Ocean7 LM-8 diver watches. For me, anything that resembles any of those models, will have my attention. Anything else is not worthwhile for me, but that is my taste, each one its own.
Snoopy is great! Casio is iconic for sure. Stay away from Grand Seiko. Not because they don’t try, but because they don’t try hard enough. Bought a new Lake Suwa in November. One day later the watch which promised 5 days power reserve stopped. I understand a watch for 10k is still just a watch but I expected Grand Seiko to immediately replace it. Instead it took the. 3 months to bring back to me. I don’t have any faith in the product and if your subscribers buy one, I wish them luck if they need it repaired.
G-Shock. Indestructible, eternal solar power, effortlessly cool. If you've not already found it, your perfect G-Shock will be out there, looking for you...
The Snoopy is such a great watch. Take an already iconic watch. Give it a different and very appealing colour change and make it just the right amount of playful too.
greetings from st George Utah, What about the Casio Duro,I think, is a must if you have wrist, for what is for great value for money, in my humble opinion...Beutiful 5 piece must own some day, will may be 4of this pieces..seems like everyone I know has this f9 Casio...I enjoy wearing mine...great content as always my friend..until next time peace ✌️..
Don't get me wrong the 12 is a fantastic watch.... But these "well to do collectors" must not know much about watches, because it simply takes one look at the caseback to see why there is a drastic difference in price.
All the watches you list are doubtlessly very worthy of our watch wallet, yet none really move me deep down inside like a dream inducing Saxonia, Calatrava, Reverso or a Santos. Emotions are truly a mystery indeed.
Good choices for sure. The obvious choices would have been boring but if I were advising someone on a one watch you need to own, it would be a dive watch. Depending on price, bb58, Seamaster 300, or Sub.
The Casio is a good watch if you’re 7. The CW is a homage playing on the overdone integrated bracelet watch & patterned dial. Speedy is fine but I’ve never understood why an adult would ever want a cartoon dog on such an expensive piece. The SU is a gimmick with a poor movement. The GS snowflake at least is a stunner! :-)
snowflake and cw the 12 are my two favorite watches, mark my words cw the 12 will go down as one of greatest watches ever made i still cant put my head around it how cw able to make the12 so affordable yet with high quality! i haven't seen anything like it
I owned many watches, but never was interested in these specific. 😅 Still have a DW-H5600MB-1 Had a PRX automatic iceblue and a moonwatch (saphire, because of the caseback). Studio Underdog produces fantastic watches to look at, but not to be worn by me😆 Still have a Seiko SZSB007 Had a Sub and sold it, because of the policy and price. Bought the Ginault silent service, no matter what past. The present brings me more joy than the sub did🤷♂️
Another small feature on the snoopy (that I’ve never heard any of the reviewers say) snoopy takes 14 seconds to emerge from behind the moon after you start the Chrono, a little Easter egg.
All are expensive watches except for the legendary f91w, they are must have but not everybody can have, we wanna see brother video when watches everybody can have.
love my 12 being featured on a list of such high praise like this & especially by my favorite horology YT channel!! hope to own a special speedy one day too
I don't think I have to have them. I prefer special pieces that not everyone has. And no, it doesn't always have to be expensive. The Casio F91W for example, why shouldn't I take the W59? Same thing, just waterproof.
I have the F91W but more for nostalgia reasons , other than that i shy away from "must have" the title is an instant rurn off . There are 100s or 1000s of amazing watches without having one everyone else has.

"Must-haves"? Nah, I don't think so. There is way better yet still affordable Casios, e.g. the W168. The C.W. is nice; if it was rectangular I'd buy one tomorrow. FFS Andrew, they must be crackin the whip in the corridors of power. I can't believe you are able to find things to talk about in the watch world. More power to your elbow(s).
Now I know why Casio is considered "God Tier" by so many enthusiasts. "Childhood memories" and "the power evoke". Makes sense. I am one of the three who has no memories of Casio. All I see is plastic ugliness.
Put my F91w on a 18mm thin black taurillon leather strap. What a difference. So much comfier and gives it a cool 80s car with leather seats and black hard plastics feel... try it!
I love and hate the snoopy - love it and I would buy one and actually wear it as my daily but I just can’t get one unless I pay and extra 1/3 of the SRP to a flipper who got one and wants to make a nice profit. Enough with the f91w already. Low water resistance unusable back light and a touch small. The casio w86 blows it out of the water for only a couple more pounds.
I have the Grand Seiko snowflake with gold hands and indices. It’s a precious thing for me. It has some scratches because I actually wear it a lot.
And that makes it even cooler,, like a 911,, theyre meant to be driven. Not sitting in a garage (box) and being clean…

The Omega Silver Snoopy is so awesome.
it's ok, cute moving snoopy on the back, but awesome here is only GS
@@Peskarik Highly subjective, isn't it. I love my Silver Snoopy - even more so on the steel Speedmaster Professional bracelet.

I absolutely love how you can convince me that a $20 watch is beautiful.
