Small is beautiful they say, and your page certainly is. Enjoyed listening to your process as well as watching you pull this prompt together. Thank you.
What a beautiful first day response for your journal....I am new to your channel and am trying junk journaling for the 1st time this year...hugs, Julierose
I have been creating junk journals since 2010. After all these years, I still struggle to find my own style. But I know what I love by watching others, and I love your way of expressing and telling your story. I love the minimalism, it intrigs me, and there are a couple of other creators that I follow that have a similar way of expressing their creativity. But I cannot seem to wrap my mind around it. I literally have hundreds of digitals that I love to use, and I make beautiful journals, but I feel like everything is over the top for me. And I really don't need any more digitals that I keep buying. I love botanicals and expressions of nature. I don't do people and I don't like prompts that want people in my creations. I am after a more serene and peaceful way of creating, and one that does not cost a lot in terms of consumables. I hope I am making sense with all of this and it is very unlike me to even express myself this way so openly. Thank you for sharing your creative processes. They are peaceful and mesmerizing.
Hi Lenella - thank you for your comment. I feel privileged that you've shared your creative experience with me! I know what you mean about the challenge of finding your style. I don't know if advice is what you're after, so please feel free to ignore me if it's not, but I think it might help to focus on the process of creating rather than what it looks like at the end. It sounds to me as though you just love to create, and that love will never lead you astray. If you let yourself be present in the process and try not to think about the product you will always feel good about what you've made because *making* it did you good. You might find that this slight shift in focus frees you up, that your style evolves as you create more and more, and you find yourself loving your own work more and more. Good luck with it, and thank you for being here!
Happy 2023! Love that best message you put out into the world each day! 🥰💕Your video was the perfect way for me to start my first day of 2023! Thank you, as always, for the creativity and soothing inspiration, Essie!
So beautiful!!! Please tell me the type of gold paint pallet that is. I am all new to paint so I am not knowledgeable on this. Is it watercolor that you have to wet. or is it wet all the time.

This project is such a beautiful way to use tiny pieces of favourite papers and ephemera.
All the little bits that we can't bear to part with... all two hundred million of them 😂
