That's the best release of Good Fellas ever made, the titans of cult is a nice release, but this one really makes me want to watch the movie again. Good video!
I do like the Titans release of Goodfellas myself but there's no denying that this one is head and shoulders a head of it. Don't get me wrong though I'm still very happy with the Titans release and I really like the Steelbook you get with it. It's a shame they didn't put as much effort into the transfer on 4k
Sorry I have not been leaving comments but I have been watching all your videos without fail. These are beautiful looking editions and way better then I thought they would be. The only things that’s stopping me getting any off them is that I feel you need to get all of them as they are all numbered and if any of them are missing that would really bother me. They are expensive but saying that they look like they are worth it to me with the high quality. Only if they did not all come out the same day and one every month then I may have got them. Great video as always, you are without doubt are in my favorite 2 channels and you never disappoint
I completely understand what you're saying Gary when it comes to these releases and how they are individually numbered. I think I'm going to be a bit more disciplined when it comes to this range. I do think there some of the best premium Editions that I've seen at an affordable price and the facts that they are limited to 3000 copies is another good selling point. That's actually another good point that you made about them all coming out together and I'm hoping that's not going to be the case from now on. Not as big of a fan as you. I notice that WB always does some postcards in the sets. And the poster is the same size as the poster in the other sets. I mentioned it before, but I am not a fan of those digipacks. Rather have a steelbook in the set. But you end op paying 60+ euro for the Beautiful outer box and the crystal number plate in my opinion. I think the best thing about these sets is how beautiful they display. That may be worth a buy too. Do these boxsets fit on your shelves?
Hey Robert. The one thing you have to realise with me is I never overpay for anything. I think this set is worth every penny and trust me if I didn't think so I wouldn't pay it. I don't have to tell you how much I love Steelbooks but I really don't need them in every single release I buy and I am a fan of digi packs. Another thing to bear in mind as well when it comes to the price is the fact that there is only 3000 of these editions and of course that is going to up the price slightly. Fortunately for me I do have a shelf in my room that is wide enough to actually sit these in.
Sadly I love collecting nice Editions etc… but it’s going to be 2023 and the same old editions are just that it’s the same. You get some movie post cards some posters in a big box and art work with hit or miss and sometimes you get a page booklet.they ask for a very high premium price and I’m just not buying what they selling anymore from these labels. Times are changing and these editions can be sold at a cheap price. I was told that each one is like $65 USD from one unboxing I watched. I could be wrong tho. I completely understand what you're saying but there is no denying how beautiful these Editions are. Bear in mind as well there is only 3000 copies of each release and that's probably why there are little more expensive than your regular edition. I think the design the way you get that Crystal plate with your individual number is quite unique and something I've never seen before. But it would be nice if they would start bringing out movies that haven't had 4K transfers onto Editions like theses. Hopefully something like that will happen in the future. These Vault Collections really look nice but I really don't need them especially since these movies are already on 4K, at some point you have to put your foot down. lol It just seems like they want to be Titans of Cult although these look way better. Thanks for the video.
I tried putting my foot down and look what happened. I really wasn't expecting them to be as beautiful as they are. The only complaint I do have though is I would love to see them give us new movies that have never been released on 4k. I think everyone would love to see that
Keith you did turn my head to order 1917, to complete the collection. I am a HUGE physical media collector, have been since starting with Laserdisc in high school of 84’. I had ordered Blade Runner (MY FAVORITE movie of all time), Scarface, and Goodfellas, even though I know of it’s 4k issues. I already have 1917 on 4k, but don’t like the film as well as the others. HOWEVER … your video convinced me to pick it up. This is my first “collector’s series” that I’ve done, never felt the need to collect movies I don’t really enjoy just because the are in a “series”. We’ll see what the next batch of titles they release are, I may or may not continue, but I’ll enjoy these 4! Cheers
Hey Jeff. I've only ever done this once before when it comes to a series of movies like these and that's the Titans of cult even though they are not numbered. There's something about this label that's making me think this could be something very special to collect. Everything about these editions I love. Thankfully three of the four movies that I got I just happened to love and I'm hoping Scarface will be a fourth when I finally do watch it. But just like yourself I'm going to wait and see what the next batch is is and I'm hoping they don't do what they done with the first four and put them all out at the one time. I hope it will be one released every 2 months. It's always great to read a comment like this because one of the reasons to why I do this is to make people aware of certain releases like this and hopefully convince them to give them a chance and it's great to hear that it's working so thank you so much for that Jeff

Hi keith I just got my delivered today GoodFellas Vault from Zavvi, now am thinking why not get Scarface Vault as well. I also pre order Kick Ass 4k collector edition and Iceman Cometh deluxe edition. Too much spending this month.
The Scarface edition is my favourite of the four and when you see the artwork on that one you will see why. It looks stunning and I do recommend picking it up. I didn't realise there was a Kick-Ass 4k collector's edition. Thanks for the heads up on that and rest assured I will check it out

I had the Scarface one on pre-order as soon as I saw it! Got it yesterday from Amazon and wow what a presence on the shelf befitting it status as one of my favourite films. I have the titans of cult Goodfellas so I don't feel the need to buy that one unless it drops in price and I'll keep an eye on Amazon to see the demand for these editions. The other two films are not my cup of tea so I have no wish to have a complete collection of these but exited to see if the next batch of releases contain another favourite. The postcards and greencard on the Scarface set are quality 👍🍺🎅🎅
I have just finished my video of Scarface and hopefully I'll have it up in the next day or two. The one thing I will say is Scarface is the best edition out of the four. The artwork on the set itself is extraordinary and I'm looking forward to showing it off in my next video. I couldn't stop myself from picking up all four of these editions and when you see them all together they do look stunning and I think it's some of the best premium sets I've ever seen and that's saying something coming for me. Hi Keith , I was like your self was not going to pick them up till I saw some vids !. Unfortunately 2 out of the 4 were badly damaged and each one was in different bags . All ordered all from Amazon . Piss poor packaging ; who would have thought that Zavvi would have been a better option ! . Getting a replacement for goodfellas but blade runner seems to be out of stock on Amazon so have had to go to Z, sorry about the rant but at this price would really expect Amazon to give a crap ! ;(
Hey John. I just got your text message and I'm sorry to hear that two of them got damaged. Dave is correct though they're back on Amazon and hopefully you can get a replacement there. I was very fortunate with mine because they did come in a cardboard box but there was no protection inside the box at all and they were all rattling inside. But like I said no damage on mine at all. Having said that I still have to get Blade Runner which is coming tomorrow and fingers crossed everything will be ok
My first reaction was that they look great but are they for me? And also the 3 first were movies that already have so many editions out there. But after seeing one unboxing of these editions I just have to get me one of these at some point. To be fair, I'm only interested in 1917 although I think that Blade Runner is the best looking out of them all. I was the exact same Sebastian. Like I said in the video up to a week ago I had no interest in picking any of these up. Correction I probably would have picked up Scarface. But it's only when I seen that first unboxing that's where everything changed for me and I knew I needed to get all four. The good news is I've only got two of them on 4k. I've never own Scarface or 1917 on 4k. I stand by what I said in the video I think these are some of the best premium Editions I've seen at an affordable price that is. I think you're really going to like them

what is the better set The film Vault or the Titans of cult? of Blade Runner, Goodfellas is a terrible 4K Transfer which is a massive shame as this movie is an absolute classic.
That's quite easy Martin it would be the Film Vault release of Blade Runner. I've said it to a few people but it would be very hard to buy Titans releases after seeing these editions. The only let down is the 4K transfer. It's a shame because it's one of my favourite gangster movies
and titan's of cult kinda blew it for me when they re-released Blade Runner, they kinda blew it for collectors when they did that. So there's nothing stopping them from re-releasing Good Fellas
Yes I absolutely agree with you with what Titans done with the Blade Runner release. I actually know people that paid massive money for that edition and when it came out again I was genuine sick for them.

I think the one thing you have to remember when it comes to releases like this is the rarity Factor as well. There's only 3000 of each release and that alone will up the price

But in all fairness I think this might be one of the best that I've seen of it and I know you're going to love it when you open it on Christmas morning. Hey Keith, I was thinking when I first saw them oh what cool artwork on those and they're probably similar to the batman set. It was also 3 films I wanted editions to but I had no idea what they actually were, and what a surprise. How beautiful are they? Artwork is so so good and beside my batman edions they're probably over twice the size which is mad. I got a partial refund in the total of £50 because I was annoyed at the packaging and the wrapping had so many rips making them effectively used on delivery. There was some sort of dust/sawdust around the top and sides aswell which I suspect was caused by them being on a floor in the package facility. Scandalous really and such little respect for these editions to not put them in a proper box. I do wonder how many are left of the 3,000 and I'm so glad to secure them.

@@millerman9991 If I had to bet I'd say scarface would first sell out then blade runner but I would expect all three to tbh. Had to make them pay for that and more people bring it up to them the more of a very slim chance we have in the future of them revising their packaging at least for these type of editions. Glad your blade runner arrived safely, another beauty by the way and love how dark its theme. Another film deserving of such a set.
I completely understand where you're coming from. I have the same issue over here when it comes to wanting to buy scream factory releases. When you Factor in delivery and Customs it just comes up way too expensive. It's a shame
The only problems with these are that firstly, the limited number isn’t on the box and or shrink wrap, and the Crystal display plate is so heavy that it pushes through the side walls of the box housing; this can be seen on many unboxing videos. An easy fix is to hook the side wall out and fill the void with bubble wrap before folding back. The Crystal also marks the large envelope. Just a few things that could have easily been remedied with a little foresight, bearing in mind they will be thrown around in the delivery vans. Very nice sets though and I think many will regret not picking these up, especially if personal favourite films. Great video thanks.
I've only seen one unboxing so I haven't seen the issues that you are talking about. I've had no troubles on my end with my releases and I think I might take your advice and maybe put a little bit of bubble wrap under that crystal. I can't see how the Crystal could damage the envelope though. I do understand why they didn't put the number on the set itself. It would take something away from The Crystal I think. I have no complaints on my end I think there wonderful editions and I can't wait to see what else they come out with

On my Bladerunner set the Crystal has marked the envelope and left 4 corner impressions on it where it has banged against it in transit; a real shame as the tyrell logo in spot gloss is right where the marks are. You can see a slight ghost mark on your video where the Crystal rubs the envelope. Also, having the numbering on the box is a nice touch for those choosing not to open theirs, like on all manta and everything blu packages. Just ties the whole thing together as “the dude” says. Hope you do an unboxing of your blade runner. Awesome set!

@@mg-ThisHandleIsSoStupid this isn’t zavvi’s fault actually. The housing has no strength whatsoever and no polystyrene or tray under the thin card. The weight of the Crystal is too much when thrown around in transit. I pulled the flap back using some folded card to make a hook and filled the void with bubble wrap. Fine now. But some have had bad tears in the visible face of the tray. Why can’t we just have one perfect Edition!

Lovely edition Keith and I totally was turned off these but after seeing the unboxing my wallet is fluttering in my pocket. My main issue was I hate numbering because if this expands I know I’ll be buying films I don’t want due to my OCD. (101 black labels, etc) love this and love 3 out of the 4, I like 1917 but wouldn’t be warranting spending £50 on it, hope your both well

You have just reviewed the greatest Gangster movie ever made. Great Intro Keith. Love the artwork on the box. Joe Pesci stole every scene in this movie, but all the actors were amazing. It's easily my favourite gangster movie and that's the only one downside to this phenomenal release is the fact that the 4K transfer is quite poor and this movie deserves so much better. I love the cast but just like yourself Gary Joe Pesci steals the show and how different this movie would have been if he wasn't in it. I decided in October to get in on the "ground floor" with these film vault editions and maybe collect them as more are released. Mine should be here before the end of the week according to Amazon. I really like the quality of these releases and the items inside. Nothing is gimmicky, and there are no silly toys like badges, plastic figures etc. The fact that they are limited release/numbered editions that will go out of print also appeals to me. The one thing I would have liked is a small book or booklet like some of the other limited editions. I think there would have been room in the packaging for this.
I 100% agree with everything that you just said in this comment. You are absolutely correct there is nothing gimmicky when it comes to these Editions and the fact that they are limited is a great selling point for me. I also agree there should have been some sort of book inside because it would have easily fit into that envelope. That's fair enough Mark and I respect that. The one thing that you're not bearing in mind is the fact that these are very limited. There is only 3000 of them and of course that's going to put the price up quite a bit. Another thing is and I don't have to tell you this because I'm sure you know how much I love my Steelbooks but I don't need them in everything that I buy. I am a fan of digipacks as well and I think it suits this boxset perfectly. The crystal plate that you get inside it I thought was genius and a hell of a lot better than having a piece of paper with a number written on it.
Absolutely a beautiful set & a great movie , I think it just gets better and better each time I watch it., I’m awaiting this edition & Scarface via Zavvi, Australia. I am sure you have played it but Mafia 2 has so many Easter eggs connected with Goodfellas which in turn make the Trilogy one of my favourite. That Halloween collection is a tough one. I hate resurrection and I haven't watched it on 4K yet. Halloween 6 and H20 both look fantastic. I think if you can get it at a good price definitely pull the trigger. Other than that I think I would wait

I think when it comes to Scarface it never appealed to me when I was younger and when I started getting a bit older I started appreciating movies a lot more. Unfortunately for Scarface it took me far too long to finally get around to watching it. It's strange when you think about it because if this edition never came out then chances are I wouldn't have seen the movie anytime soon. Amazing how a single edition can do that

No I haven't seen Carlito's way and that's another movie that I definitely want to see. Zavvi brought out a beautiful release of it and I have been trying to get it. It's sold out and I'm waiting to see if I can get one on eBay at a reasonable price

I do like the Titans release of Goodfellas myself but there's no denying that this one is head and shoulders a head of it. Don't get me wrong though I'm still very happy with the Titans release and I really like the Steelbook you get with it. It's a shame they didn't put as much effort into the transfer on 4k
Sorry I have not been leaving comments but I have been watching all your videos without fail. These are beautiful looking editions and way better then I thought they would be. The only things that’s stopping me getting any off them is that I feel you need to get all of them as they are all numbered and if any of them are missing that would really bother me. They are expensive but saying that they look like they are worth it to me with the high quality. Only if they did not all come out the same day and one every month then I may have got them. Great video as always, you are without doubt are in my favorite 2 channels and you never disappoint
I completely understand what you're saying Gary when it comes to these releases and how they are individually numbered. I think I'm going to be a bit more disciplined when it comes to this range. I do think there some of the best premium Editions that I've seen at an affordable price and the facts that they are limited to 3000 copies is another good selling point. That's actually another good point that you made about them all coming out together and I'm hoping that's not going to be the case from now on. Not as big of a fan as you. I notice that WB always does some postcards in the sets. And the poster is the same size as the poster in the other sets. I mentioned it before, but I am not a fan of those digipacks. Rather have a steelbook in the set. But you end op paying 60+ euro for the Beautiful outer box and the crystal number plate in my opinion. I think the best thing about these sets is how beautiful they display. That may be worth a buy too. Do these boxsets fit on your shelves?
Hey Robert. The one thing you have to realise with me is I never overpay for anything. I think this set is worth every penny and trust me if I didn't think so I wouldn't pay it. I don't have to tell you how much I love Steelbooks but I really don't need them in every single release I buy and I am a fan of digi packs. Another thing to bear in mind as well when it comes to the price is the fact that there is only 3000 of these editions and of course that is going to up the price slightly. Fortunately for me I do have a shelf in my room that is wide enough to actually sit these in.
Sadly I love collecting nice Editions etc… but it’s going to be 2023 and the same old editions are just that it’s the same. You get some movie post cards some posters in a big box and art work with hit or miss and sometimes you get a page booklet.they ask for a very high premium price and I’m just not buying what they selling anymore from these labels. Times are changing and these editions can be sold at a cheap price. I was told that each one is like $65 USD from one unboxing I watched. I could be wrong tho. Great unboxing tho I enjoy your videos 👍🏻
I completely understand what you're saying but there is no denying how beautiful these Editions are. Bear in mind as well there is only 3000 copies of each release and that's probably why there are little more expensive than your regular edition. I think the design the way you get that Crystal plate with your individual number is quite unique and something I've never seen before. But it would be nice if they would start bringing out movies that haven't had 4K transfers onto Editions like theses. Hopefully something like that will happen in the future. These Vault Collections really look nice but I really don't need them especially since these movies are already on 4K, at some point you have to put your foot down. lol It just seems like they want to be Titans of Cult although these look way better. Thanks for the video.
I tried putting my foot down and look what happened. I really wasn't expecting them to be as beautiful as they are. The only complaint I do have though is I would love to see them give us new movies that have never been released on 4k. I think everyone would love to see that
Keith you did turn my head to order 1917, to complete the collection. I am a HUGE physical media collector, have been since starting with Laserdisc in high school of 84’. I had ordered Blade Runner (MY FAVORITE movie of all time), Scarface, and Goodfellas, even though I know of it’s 4k issues. I already have 1917 on 4k, but don’t like the film as well as the others. HOWEVER … your video convinced me to pick it up. This is my first “collector’s series” that I’ve done, never felt the need to collect movies I don’t really enjoy just because the are in a “series”. We’ll see what the next batch of titles they release are, I may or may not continue, but I’ll enjoy these 4! Cheers
Hey Jeff. I've only ever done this once before when it comes to a series of movies like these and that's the Titans of cult even though they are not numbered. There's something about this label that's making me think this could be something very special to collect. Everything about these editions I love. Thankfully three of the four movies that I got I just happened to love and I'm hoping Scarface will be a fourth when I finally do watch it. But just like yourself I'm going to wait and see what the next batch is is and I'm hoping they don't do what they done with the first four and put them all out at the one time. I hope it will be one released every 2 months. It's always great to read a comment like this because one of the reasons to why I do this is to make people aware of certain releases like this and hopefully convince them to give them a chance and it's great to hear that it's working so thank you so much for that Jeff

Hi keith I just got my delivered today GoodFellas Vault from Zavvi, now am thinking why not get Scarface Vault as well. I also pre order Kick Ass 4k collector edition and Iceman Cometh deluxe edition. Too much spending this month.
The Scarface edition is my favourite of the four and when you see the artwork on that one you will see why. It looks stunning and I do recommend picking it up. I didn't realise there was a Kick-Ass 4k collector's edition. Thanks for the heads up on that and rest assured I will check it out

I had the Scarface one on pre-order as soon as I saw it! Got it yesterday from Amazon and wow what a presence on the shelf befitting it status as one of my favourite films. I have the titans of cult Goodfellas so I don't feel the need to buy that one unless it drops in price and I'll keep an eye on Amazon to see the demand for these editions. The other two films are not my cup of tea so I have no wish to have a complete collection of these but exited to see if the next batch of releases contain another favourite. The postcards and greencard on the Scarface set are quality 👍🍺🎅🎅
I have just finished my video of Scarface and hopefully I'll have it up in the next day or two. The one thing I will say is Scarface is the best edition out of the four. The artwork on the set itself is extraordinary and I'm looking forward to showing it off in my next video. I couldn't stop myself from picking up all four of these editions and when you see them all together they do look stunning and I think it's some of the best premium sets I've ever seen and that's saying something coming for me. Hi Keith , I was like your self was not going to pick them up till I saw some vids !. Unfortunately 2 out of the 4 were badly damaged and each one was in different bags . All ordered all from Amazon . Piss poor packaging ; who would have thought that Zavvi would have been a better option ! . Getting a replacement for goodfellas but blade runner seems to be out of stock on Amazon so have had to go to Z, sorry about the rant but at this price would really expect Amazon to give a crap ! ;(

Hey John. I just got your text message and I'm sorry to hear that two of them got damaged. Dave is correct though they're back on Amazon and hopefully you can get a replacement there. I was very fortunate with mine because they did come in a cardboard box but there was no protection inside the box at all and they were all rattling inside. But like I said no damage on mine at all. Having said that I still have to get Blade Runner which is coming tomorrow and fingers crossed everything will be ok
My first reaction was that they look great but are they for me? And also the 3 first were movies that already have so many editions out there. But after seeing one unboxing of these editions I just have to get me one of these at some point. To be fair, I'm only interested in 1917 although I think that Blade Runner is the best looking out of them all. I was the exact same Sebastian. Like I said in the video up to a week ago I had no interest in picking any of these up. Correction I probably would have picked up Scarface. But it's only when I seen that first unboxing that's where everything changed for me and I knew I needed to get all four. The good news is I've only got two of them on 4k. I've never own Scarface or 1917 on 4k. I stand by what I said in the video I think these are some of the best premium Editions I've seen at an affordable price that is. I think you're really going to like them

what is the better set The film Vault or the Titans of cult? of Blade Runner, Goodfellas is a terrible 4K Transfer which is a massive shame as this movie is an absolute classic.
That's quite easy Martin it would be the Film Vault release of Blade Runner. I've said it to a few people but it would be very hard to buy Titans releases after seeing these editions. The only let down is the 4K transfer. It's a shame because it's one of my favourite gangster movies
and titan's of cult kinda blew it for me when they re-released Blade Runner, they kinda blew it for collectors when they did that. So there's nothing stopping them from re-releasing Good Fellas
They blew it for me when they released Space Jam.
Yes I absolutely agree with you with what Titans done with the Blade Runner release. I actually know people that paid massive money for that edition and when it came out again I was genuine sick for them.

But in all fairness I think this might be one of the best that I've seen of it and I know you're going to love it when you open it on Christmas morning. Hey Keith, I was thinking when I first saw them oh what cool artwork on those and they're probably similar to the batman set. It was also 3 films I wanted editions to but I had no idea what they actually were, and what a surprise. How beautiful are they? Artwork is so so good and beside my batman edions they're probably over twice the size which is mad. I got a partial refund in the total of £50 because I was annoyed at the packaging and the wrapping had so many rips making them effectively used on delivery. There was some sort of dust/sawdust around the top and sides aswell which I suspect was caused by them being on a floor in the package facility. Scandalous really and such little respect for these editions to not put them in a proper box. I do wonder how many are left of the 3,000 and I'm so glad to secure them.

@@millerman9991 If I had to bet I'd say scarface would first sell out then blade runner but I would expect all three to tbh. Had to make them pay for that and more people bring it up to them the more of a very slim chance we have in the future of them revising their packaging at least for these type of editions. Glad your blade runner arrived safely, another beauty by the way and love how dark its theme. Another film deserving of such a set.
I really wish Warner would bring these to the States. They're so nice. Importing a Limited set like this is a near impossibility, unfortunately.
I completely understand where you're coming from. I have the same issue over here when it comes to wanting to buy scream factory releases. When you Factor in delivery and Customs it just comes up way too expensive. It's a shame
Finding a company to ship them properly is an impossibility.

The only problems with these are that firstly, the limited number isn’t on the box and or shrink wrap, and the Crystal display plate is so heavy that it pushes through the side walls of the box housing; this can be seen on many unboxing videos. An easy fix is to hook the side wall out and fill the void with bubble wrap before folding back. The Crystal also marks the large envelope. Just a few things that could have easily been remedied with a little foresight, bearing in mind they will be thrown around in the delivery vans. Very nice sets though and I think many will regret not picking these up, especially if personal favourite films. Great video thanks.
I've only seen one unboxing so I haven't seen the issues that you are talking about. I've had no troubles on my end with my releases and I think I might take your advice and maybe put a little bit of bubble wrap under that crystal. I can't see how the Crystal could damage the envelope though. I do understand why they didn't put the number on the set itself. It would take something away from The Crystal I think. I have no complaints on my end I think there wonderful editions and I can't wait to see what else they come out with

On my Bladerunner set the Crystal has marked the envelope and left 4 corner impressions on it where it has banged against it in transit; a real shame as the tyrell logo in spot gloss is right where the marks are. You can see a slight ghost mark on your video where the Crystal rubs the envelope. Also, having the numbering on the box is a nice touch for those choosing not to open theirs, like on all manta and everything blu packages. Just ties the whole thing together as “the dude” says. Hope you do an unboxing of your blade runner. Awesome set!

@@mg-ThisHandleIsSoStupid this isn’t zavvi’s fault actually. The housing has no strength whatsoever and no polystyrene or tray under the thin card. The weight of the Crystal is too much when thrown around in transit. I pulled the flap back using some folded card to make a hook and filled the void with bubble wrap. Fine now. But some have had bad tears in the visible face of the tray. Why can’t we just have one perfect Edition!

Lovely edition Keith and I totally was turned off these but after seeing the unboxing my wallet is fluttering in my pocket. My main issue was I hate numbering because if this expands I know I’ll be buying films I don’t want due to my OCD. (101 black labels, etc) love this and love 3 out of the 4, I like 1917 but wouldn’t be warranting spending £50 on it, hope your both well

You have just reviewed the greatest Gangster movie ever made. Great Intro Keith. Love the artwork on the box. Joe Pesci stole every scene in this movie, but all the actors were amazing. Ray Liotta was incredible as Henry Hill, such ashame , he went too soon. Great looking postcards awell. You've made me want to watch this movie now. Thanks Keith, great upload.
It's easily my favourite gangster movie and that's the only one downside to this phenomenal release is the fact that the 4K transfer is quite poor and this movie deserves so much better. I love the cast but just like yourself Gary Joe Pesci steals the show and how different this movie would have been if he wasn't in it. I decided in October to get in on the "ground floor" with these film vault editions and maybe collect them as more are released. Mine should be here before the end of the week according to Amazon. I really like the quality of these releases and the items inside. Nothing is gimmicky, and there are no silly toys like badges, plastic figures etc. The fact that they are limited release/numbered editions that will go out of print also appeals to me. The one thing I would have liked is a small book or booklet like some of the other limited editions. I think there would have been room in the packaging for this.
I 100% agree with everything that you just said in this comment. You are absolutely correct there is nothing gimmicky when it comes to these Editions and the fact that they are limited is a great selling point for me. I also agree there should have been some sort of book inside because it would have easily fit into that envelope. I stand by what I said in the video I think there the best-looking premium Editions at a affordable price and I'm really happy I picked up all four of them. I was the same had no real interest in them, thinking they were goingto be overpriced and cheap cardboard sets. I had talked myself out of getting them. Then I saw a review last week, instantly changed my mind and pre ordered them. Beautiful sets
It's amazing how one unboxing can change everything. Just like yourself I had no interest in this label and what a surprise it was when I seen that first unboxing. I really hope there's a Criterion Collection (or other boutique label) release for this movie down the line. It's one of the best films ever made - it deserves a premium 4K transfer.
I couldn't agree more with you Dan. It's heartbreaking when you think about it. The greatest gangster movie ever made and to see it get this kind of treatment is cruel. Wow!! When I heard about these releases I thought, "nah, not interested!" But after seeing this video I think I might go straight to Amazon and order all four...if they're still available!! They look great!!
Hey Steven. I was the exact same. Even with a week before it's release date I still had no interest in picking them up until I see my first unboxing and everything changed after that. I know they're expensive but I honestly think it's worth it. I really do hope you pick them up Steven and if you do so let me know what you think when you get them through the door. I'm hoping in the future they don't release four at one time like they did with these. I hope it's one every two months from now on

That's fair enough Mark and I respect that. The one thing that you're not bearing in mind is the fact that these are very limited. There is only 3000 of them and of course that's going to put the price up quite a bit. Another thing is and I don't have to tell you this because I'm sure you know how much I love my Steelbooks but I don't need them in everything that I buy. I am a fan of digipacks as well and I think it suits this boxset perfectly. The crystal plate that you get inside it I thought was genius and a hell of a lot better than having a piece of paper with a number written on it.

Absolutely a beautiful set & a great movie , I think it just gets better and better each time I watch it., I’m awaiting this edition & Scarface via Zavvi, Australia. I am sure you have played it but Mafia 2 has so many Easter eggs connected with Goodfellas which in turn make the Trilogy one of my favourite. I highly recommend anyone who games to revisit the remastered trilogy on PlayStation! Excellent video again Keith ! Thanks for taking the time to share with your community. Hey Connor. Great to hear that you picked up two of them. The Scarface edition is my favourite of the four and when you see the artwork on it you will see why. I have never played the original mafia or it's sequel and I think I will pick up the remastered version in the new year and see what they're like. I've heard nothing but great things about them. That Halloween collection is a tough one. I hate resurrection and I haven't watched it on 4K yet. Halloween 6 and H20 both look fantastic. I think if you can get it at a good price definitely pull the trigger. Other than that I think I would wait

It's one of those things where you just can't buy one or two of them you have to get all four. Honestly there some of the best premium Editions I've ever seen and fingers crossed they carry on with them.

I finally got around to watching the movie and my god what a movie it is. The edition itself is worthy of the movie and great to hear that you picked it up yourself Alexander. Wait till you actually open it up and see what it looks like. I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised by what you see. I think when it comes to Scarface it never appealed to me when I was younger and when I started getting a bit older I started appreciating movies a lot more. Unfortunately for Scarface it took me far too long to finally get around to watching it. It's strange when you think about it because if this edition never came out then chances are I wouldn't have seen the movie anytime soon. Amazing how a single edition can do that

No I haven't seen Carlito's way and that's another movie that I definitely want to see. Zavvi brought out a beautiful release of it and I have been trying to get it. It's sold out and I'm waiting to see if I can get one on eBay at a reasonable price
