Good work, what blade did you have in the grinder i.e. metal cutting or stone/ceramic?

I've used thin kerf stainless cutting blade, similar to one below
amzn.to/49M5MNG
I found that anything thicker will melt plastic to much and anything with teeth ( circular saw, jig saw,..) can crack and shutter it

Why not turn the bath overflow outlet pointing downward and cut the pipe to fit?

This particular pipe/hose has both ends with smooth sections to fit on the spigots with o-ring. Cutting the hose could jepordise the seal
