- This video was recorded on Friday 23rd of February 2024 at the Great British Shooting Show in hall 5 of the NEC Birmingham. I have also downloaded this in six sections, which can be found on my Facebook page. This years show was a great event. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy the show.
I went to the show on Saturday, but this video is the best walk around for air weapons I have seen, thank you
Many thanks. Although I did a few interviews, I knew that a walk around would show off more of the show. Next year, I can hopefully do two or three days there for a fully comprehensive video, and more interviews.

Yes, I printed off the map from the website, and also downloaded it to my phone, but still missed a few stands that I had originally marked down to go to.
I went to the Air Arms Stand. There were so many people there, that I missed their new budget models from India, designed by Air Arms, and the Indian models also. The prices of the Indian models were really good at around £300. Their own designs made by India are around £500, so you can imagine the mark up, but still great value with their name on it.

I havent been to the show for a couple years but i went yesterday and it was very good, plenty of new exhibitors and good that there was some of the smaller guys showing what products they have to.
Yes, I enjoyed my visit. I couldn't stay all day, but got to see most of the displays. I missed a few, and didn't see Range-Right, or Stoeger at the show this year. The last time that I went was just before lockdown in 2020. It's great to see the show back in full swing again though.
Very nice walk around. Enough info to think about. Very interested in the chronograph from shooting party.

Great Video walk-around! Probably one of the best I’ve seen as it has covered a lot of suppliers, almost like a virtual walk around for those of us who couldn’t be there!😔

Thanks. I hope to get a thermal Arken to review in the future. I was hoping they would design one, but was surprised to see one at the show. I think they have been doing the research & development for this thermal scope for the last 2 years. I was really glad to meet the Arken team who actually work at the manufacturers in China. They were very helpfull and friendly, and spoke good English. We don't seem to do languages much in the UK, probably because the Old Empire spread English around the World as the first language. Even air line pilots use English as a first language World Wide, which is probably why we are so lazy to learn other languages over here. I'm too old now though.

Great review. Thanks for sharing................FX still over rated , over priced compared to alot of the competition which out performs them too.
Yes, their rifles are expensive, but the latest DRS in synthetic is probably their cheapest at the moment, coming in at around £850. The walnut is £1000+. No reviews on it yet though, but it looks nice, and would be one that I would go for it had had the spare money to do so.
Personally I don’t think £2,000 is a lot for a rifle and a hobby.
Sure it’s a lot to spend out in one go but a high end rifle will still be worth a £1,000 in 5 years time if you choose the right manufacturer 👍
🤔so £1,000 over 5 yrs works out a cheap hobby really, that’s the way I look at it.
As for FX rifles 🙄🙄 bloody awful service and unreliable guns just not fit for purpose
Love the video, I am surprised though, I didnt see the Reximex Stand or the Optisan Scopes, unless i missed it, Great Stuff matey.

It is expected to be coming out by the end of this month. You can contact the Shooting Party gun shop in Staffordshire for more information. I believe J S Ramsbottom will also be selling it when it comes out.
That new chronograph that looks like a moderator looks a good bit of kit , didn’t get what it was called but looking forward to seeing your review to see how it compares to my Fx .
Yes, I have the FX Chronograph as well. This new one designed for the Shooting Party looks like a great contender though. It works with a 100 shot internal memory built into the chronograph, plus unlimited shot memory if you use the available app. I expect it will be available to buy soon.

The arken scopes lool very good value for money
Yes they are. As well as good value, they are also very good quality. Don't take my word for it, just check out the blogs and reviews from users on their various web sites and facebook pages. They appear to be very customer focused and are not standing still with development either. Definitely one to look out for in the future i you are looking for night vision ir, or thermal scopes that record what you see through the scope.
Looks like I missed you, I was on the SGC stand all weekend. Tucked in a corner with the Pard stand. We had all the new thermals on show. Maybe next year 😂
Yes, I hope to catch up with you. I walked around the show, but still missed some stands and items that I wanted to see. The crowds probably got in the way. I hope to do more time at the show next year. I was limited to my stay, because the Wife is still not fully well, but I did enjoy the visit this year.

Hows is the chronograph silencer style works out? Is it an actual silencer as well?

No. It is a chronograph, but screws onto a 1/2 inch x2 UNF thread. This should make it very accurate in the process of finding the velocity, as it is in a consictant position. It has a 100 shot memory built into the chronograph, and unlimited memory if used with the app on your phone.

1.15.07 I’d rather an accuracy int in 308 lapua or a cheytac intervention where in the case you get everything exept a nagging wife saying “YOU CANT AFFORD IT” 😂😂😂😂😂.BTW FELLA I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL THATS WHY I SUBSCRIBED KEEP THE GREAT CONTENT COMING…..I wouldn’t mind you highlighting some budget and mid priced rifles and just shoot them for an hour on the range but the difference being you have a bag with numbered tiles from 1-10 that correspond with a particular pellet and what you pick you are stuck with 👍
Yes, they did have a cheytac at the show, but I missed it. The Turkish ATA was a looker though. I did see Chris Parkin looking at a Cheytac in his video review. In either case these long range sniper rifles are serious money. 30 years ago you could buy a good car for the price of these rifles, costing over £4500.
Very interesting to see the Arken Zulus with the thermal, combined with the day scope. Does it do day and night as well as thermal? You did extremely well to get the view through the lens Mark, excellent work.👍👍👍

@@frizzle1002000 can have just day/night, or just thermal and then add PiP and toggle how you want.
When I was on the stand the guy said it would be just over a £1000 and I’ve seen another video where an Arken guy said 2k so not sure on price.
I see Pard have a multi unit which is just under 3k so difficult to know yet on price.
Of course the question comes can a multi unit be as good dedicated units. Probably not but nice it’s all in one.

Yes. When you have the main screen in colour vision, the PIP is in thermal. When the main screen is in thermal the PIP will be in either colour or ir night vision. What a great scope.

Yes, if money was no object you would be making a few bus shuttle trips between the shooting show and the car park. A very friendly envireonment, especially with like minded people.

Mark, when is that moderator / chronograph being released? ,, didn't notice it at the shooting party stand today..
It will be ready soon, and comes in at just under £140. Keep an eye on their website or make contact with them via phone, or Email. These details are on their website. It looks like a great piece of kit. It can also be seen on their Face book page.
As for the r12 I have the full size clx pro and it is laser accurate and I have the much improved mags which work a treat and I stuck a best fittings 500cc carbon bottle on it so shot count is crazy.
Hi Peter where did you get the updated mags from please. I have had my R12 in .177 and haven’t had a problem but I want some spares. Thanks
Yes, I love the new R12. Especially the side lever models. Some had problems at the start, but I expect those have been sorted now. The BSA hammer forged barrels do work well though. I love my R10 Mk2, tuned by Phil Crampton of the Rat Works.
@@DavidJones-jz9sb hi fella to be honest they came with the rifle……from what I can see they have used a thicker O ring so it holds the waist of the pellet me I would go direct to BSA or bagnall and cooper those guys are very helpful.

A great show but simply too many people there. Queues 3 and 4 deep at most stands.
