@@DifferentSpokesTV Ya Jay is on Birchmount, there is Also Classy Chassis as well in Lakefield that is where I bought my bike. Anyway I'm excited what is coming down the pipe, keep us informed as you find stuff out, you do great presentation. cheers.
I just bought a new Interceptor 650. It’s not Honda/BMW quality but it cost $5,500 or about half as much as mainstream bikes. Accessories are extremely cheap also, a new touring seat was $100, skid plate was $50. I’m happy with my purchase so far.
I looked at the Super Meteor, but there are many used Japanese cruisers that were more appealing. In Australia they’ve become very common, but they’re not cheap enough for me to consider one over a used triumph or Honda.
Cool video, thanks for the upload. I am riding my 2006 Bullet 500 since 16years (second owner) . Almost 80.000 kilometers on the clock by now. I had some issues but I could fix them all by myself, spare parts are cheap and maintenance is easy. She's slow but reliable... I love the way she sounds and looks! My other bike is a Suzuki LS650, also very cool and more powerful. But lacking the Bullets character. Cheers and all the best from Germany 👍
Das ist eine schön Motorbike. Ich habe einen Classic 500 in Indien. Sorry for my bad German, I'm currently learning German for my masters to study in Germany. Anyways I can understand that nothing feels like a bullet. Mine Classic 500 has a fuel injectoe system which has a bit of wiring issues but that's okay, when you just sit on the bike it makes you forget about all the problems.
That 450 will be great engine in most of RE:s current lineup. Those 350s are brilliant looking, and well built bikes but underpowered for the western market. That new engine will fix that and when it does the sales will really hit the roof. Provided that they can solve the dealer problem, while still keeping the prices competitive.
Thought I'd let you people know. After the remaining 650s(scrambler, classic and bullet), 350 bobber and a few 450s, there will be a 750cc+ engine. It'll be the new flagship. Expect it in 3 years, most likely in an adventure tourer and/or a cruiser/bobber
Wow! That is some crazy growth. And that’s with a limited dealer network in North America. I think HD dealers should be allowed to become retailers. That would be one way to support their own dealers. It’s not like Royal Enfield sales would be cannibalizing their own sales. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Plus, you might be able to upsell customers to a Harley on their next bike. My two cents…
Good idea. HD has no beginner bikes so it would make sense. But then they would find it harder to upset you to the Nightster. It would be like bringing the Trojan horse into the gates.
I have one of the best Royal Enfields ever produced...The Continental GT 535. Single cylinder, air cooled cafe racer. it only has 29.1 HP and 44 Nm; it is very nimble, light and has great looks. It is the best bike I have owned in years.
I love the look, size and price of the Royal Enfield bikes. I just can’t bring myself to bite the bullet (pun intended). My faith is with Japanese bikes and I hope one day Honda brings the H’ness cb350 to Canada.
Nice video sir. As a senior citizen the Royal Enfields are amazing. The colors and the sounds bring me back to the 60s and 70s. Waiting for Meteor 350 Aura colors to arrive. Brings me back to my youth. 😀😎❤️
I own a 2023 INT 650 in El Paso, TX. I love my Queen. I put ape hangers on her to make it a little more comfortable. Am looking to upgrade to the Indian Super Chief in the near future when the money is right, but am enjoying the INT for all she's worth. Definitely a great entry- ( or re-entry in my case) level-bike, but am ready for that next level of performance and challenge. I can barely pull of 100mph on these crazy Texas highways. Keep that shiny side up!
Have a 2019 Interceptor, has been nothing but great. Easy to maintain, inexpensive and fun to modify with plenty of parts available. Royal Enfield is an easy entry point to motorcycling with lots of models as you say, hopefully they just keep em coming 👌
I got rid my 2 big Japanese bikes and replaced them with a RE Classic 350. Simple, small displacement horse that puts a smile on my face every time I ride it. What more can I ask for from a bike?
We've all forgotten about the smile. Decades of pouring over spec sheets and back slapping each other about a horsepower here or a kilo there and we forgot about the only metrics that count. Fun and practicality.
To answer your last question, after a lifetime of riding bikes of every size, power and configuration, I have recently bought a 650 Super Meteor in blue and have a 452 Himilayan to collect next month. Couldn’t be happier!
If you have riding experiences and you are drawn towards a Tenere 700 which I consider a serious ADV bike you will be highly disappointed with the Himalayan. I currently own one and am seriously regretting my decision to buy it. I’m not a speed and power guy but at certain times you need those characteristics especially in traffic or navigating specific terrain to ride safely and quite often this fails hard. If you live in an area where there is next to no traffic then perhaps you should consider this. I recommend a nice long test ride in the exact type of riding conditions you will be using it in.
Yes, lots of riding experience and no, I’m not drawn towards the Tenere700 however I did own the electric start 1986 Tenere 600 back in ‘86 and it remains one of those bikes that I look back on with great fondness.
The only thing keeping buying one rather than the Vulcan S that I ultimately bought was the lack of dealers here. I have no doubt that I would have loved the Super Meteor 650 just as much. It's a tad heavy but I can get a center-stand for it. Very cool.
I almost went with a RE Hymalaian couple years ago, but the lack of many RE shops got me concerned about parts and maintenance, since they are expanding here on Brazil too, i went with the XRE300 (national model) from Honda since theres shops every corner, but ngl, i kinda like the RE Meteor and Scram style, and since Harleys here are almost 4-5 times higher prices for the cheaper versions like the Iron 883, RE will probably grow here too, even Bajaj is trying its hand on the Brazilian motorcycle market.
U have to answer yourself only one question. Are u able AND willing to pay 11k+ for the Tenere instead 6k for the new 450cc RE Himi? The new engine is no prob 4 me. Every well named Motorjournalist incl. Itchy Boots have tested it roughly in the Himalaya over 5k or more Kilometers. The Essence is clear: Very good Bike with little Issues that can fixed easily! Any questions left?
I think that I share the same view on motorcycles that you do. I think that RE is doing an amazing job and I can see one in my garage someday. It will likely be when they make a 650 ADV bike.
@DifferentSpokesTV I guess that I will have to start saving for the Tiger 660 Rally. I hear that is in the works. I would love to see you review of the Tiger line-up.
Theres something about Re design and the new bikes are packed, their research and development is amazing, marketing amazing. RE have really become bigger and better also price are affordable
I bought a Scram. Lovely little bike. I will, however, be trading it for the new Himmy. I've got a taste for off road riding and the more off road bias of the Himmy along with the extra pep makes it a good decision for me.
bought a 650gt 2 years ago, very impressed with the general build quality, the paint on the tankwould put some high end auto makers to shame, only relays and ignition switch giving problems, suspension is budget so upgraded asap
The Himalayan has been on my mind a lot lately - I think I'll wait for the 450 to come out for the 411 to get a little less expensive 😁 helps that they're already affordable anyway.
I've owned BMW'S for almost 50 years and now have a Classic 350 and a GT 650. My dealer sells both brands- lucky for me.!! Quality for an affordable price... 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️
I have a 2020 500 Bullet Trials Works Replica. I absolutely love it. It’s perfect for Tennessee backroads. Yes its not without its quirks ,but that’s part of its charm. It grunts up steep hills carting my big butt, like a mule. It’s so easy to work on and just is a great looking bike. I also have a 2017 Honda Africa Twin. It’s a beast to move around and a nightmare to work on. Unfortunately i do believe im going to sell me AT. It just doesn’t deliver the smiles per mile as my RE. I know they are vastly 2 completely different bikes, and the AT is a really capable bike off-road when setup correctly.
The video should have touched what actually revived Enfield from filling into bankruptcy: The 2008 UC engine. It modernized the 1940s British design that remained in production till 2008. In 2010 they launched Classic with the UC and that totally changed their fortunes overnight.
I had no idea the INT and continental 650's were only four years old. That means my 2018 Tacoma is older than the modern Royal Enfield's. At any rate I am the proud owner of a Super Meteor 650. It is Easly the most comfortable motorcycle I have ever ridden on the street.
I have meters 350 yellow. It was a amazing bike it heavy it not fast, just enough to go where I wanted. It built like a tank but it always trun head when I drive it around. Love her my buffy girl lol.
The next move for Royal Enfield ought to be a 125. This is the entry level for new riders in Europe and building brand loyalty early on would be a huge bonus for them. A good 125 would also sell well in Asia and Africa where many riders simply need cheap reliable transport.
I don't think, RE is ever going to produce any bike below 350cc. In India also they never launched any bike in the 350cc segment below. Hero, Bajaj and TVS are Indian brands which are doing very well in the below 350cc market segment and also have a good market share in African countries as well.
there are a few Enfields in my line of sight. there is a high probability that my wife and i will own a pair Himalayan 450s at some point. in the meantime, i have the hots for ContiGT, one of the Dark editions with the alloy wheels. that Shotgun is pretty interesting, as well.
I remember when I first got my bike licnse in 1967, there were three "hot" fantasy bikes that were so wild, the Harley Sportster, the 450 Honda and the polished gastank Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor. Back when a 650 was considered a BIG bike. (The rifle is still the best hunting tool in Canada's North.) Pretty"slim" looking Brooke,eh? If they made a 850cc 2024 Interceptor , I'd trade my Z1000, which is faster, but, the heritage would bring me full circle. And Noraly likes them-especially the new 452. Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada.
At 8:22 you start a spoken part that is so completely on point. It's one of the, if not THE most eloquent way to say harley absolutely does NOT care one bit about younger, new riders. The Al Bundy-esque shoe salesman of a ceo running the ship in Milwaukee ought to go back to sneakers or wicker baskets.
I love that RE are getting more traction in north america, purely for selfish reasons: I want more access to cheaper parts! Having to pay duty and shipping on oil change stuff is a drag tbh, and my local RE dealer doesn't keep a good inventory and is overpriced. More dealers, more parts and a full Hayne's style shop service manual for the Euro 4 INT 650's would make me glow. But yeah, I love my Inty. Keep going RE!
I like them alot! Though, imo, slightly underpowered. I know there are possibilities out there, but with all that, the price level is Triumph Bonneville. Saying that, I would pick the RE Interceptor for the fun of making it lighter and more powerfull. Speaking of HD and their Nightster/Sportster. How on earth, can someone skilled as a designer, lean back, look at it and say "I did a nice job"? That left side is...well, if it said Ying-Yang on the tank, nobody would buy it. Back to the RE. I tried the RE Interceptor a few years ago and it runs better than the 45bhp tells you. I imagin that losing 20-30kgs and adding 20 horses would be a fun process! Thank you!
I’d love to add the new Himalayan to the garage but then there’s the Interceptor and the Continental. But then what colour do you choose? Such beauty’s
Owning a Meteor 350, I was a bit disappointed when I testrode a Continental GT 650 because I missed the revving characteristic of the one-cylinder engine. A just slightly beefed up Meteor or Classic I would by right away.
I have a number of motorcycles including a 2021 Royal Enfield 650 Continental GT. It isn't the fastest, best made or most exotic. However, it was cheap to buy, has been reliable and is the most fun to ride bike for the money. They are easy to look after and simple to repair. What's not to like? 😁😁. Nowadays, Royal Enfield has a huge club scene, a vast dealer network and looks set to be a strong brand for the long future to come.

@@VedantB1710 No worries, your German is certainly way better than my Hindi :-)
All the best and sucess with your studies 😎
I bought my son and I Scram 411's and my wife a Classic 350. These bikes are absolutely wonderful.
Loving my RE
Yes & Yes. The GT 650 is the next bike in my garage
Nice. I rode that when it came out and it was a nice handling bike with killer looks.
Great video on great bikes! 👍
Thanks!
Yes. The classic 350. Am so passionate 🎉
I rode the interceptor at a festival and was surprisingly impressed (I think this was due to my expectations being so low) it was fun
Yeah, I rode one back in 2019 and it was a great bike. The seat is a bit short for two up though and my wife was not comfortable on the back.
6:33 452cc hunter would be a super hit
Lol you described a sportster with a British accent sprinkled with garam masala. Great video thank you.
Yes, 20hp is a bit low for North American highways.
I bought a new 650 INT last year, my 48th motorcycle. I wasn't expecting much, but it is a great bike.
It is the best bike I have owned in years.
at 62Yo bad knee's gave up my heavy Harley last year for a Hunter 350 just Love this little bike>>
I have a Meteor 350 Red Supernova and I absolutely love it! Smooth, enough power sounds and looks great
I love the look, size and price of the Royal Enfield bikes. I just can’t bring myself to bite the bullet (pun intended). My faith is with Japanese bikes and I hope one day Honda brings the H’ness cb350 to Canada.
Yes to the H’ness!
Yep, that CB350 looks super cool. Don't know if they'll send that here as it will struggle at highway speeds. I wouldn't want to take that on the 401.
@@DifferentSpokesTV They could use the tried-and-true 471cc parallel twin for the North American market. That would be sweet.
Goated content 🙏🙏
Thanks!
Great video. If RE makes bigger engines, they will go through another huge growth phase. 800 and 1100cc cruisers would be amazing.
I completely agree with your assessment.
Nice video sir. As a senior citizen the Royal Enfields are amazing. The colors and the sounds bring me back to the 60s and 70s. Waiting for Meteor 350 Aura colors to arrive. Brings me back to my youth. 😀😎❤️
Price is a huge issue. These bikes don't break the bank
And then there's the fuel economy, cheap maintenance and no plastics.
I want to ride a RE someday. I love the look of them, and they just seem so practical.
Just about my first motorcycle. A Meteor 350 and I love it
I own a 2023 INT 650 in El Paso, TX.
Good quality and affordable motorcycles. Can't beat that.
Excellent video, you earned a subscriber with this one. Bravo!
Interesting history, good bike, great video 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool! You'll have a bike for every occasion for less than half the price of a Harley bagger.
The only thing keeping buying one rather than the Vulcan S that I ultimately bought was the lack of dealers here. I have no doubt that I would have loved the Super Meteor 650 just as much. It's a tad heavy but I can get a center-stand for it. Very cool.
Good history job & yes, there's 1 in my present, Classic, & 1 in my future, Shotgun. HD need not apply....
Nice!
I am thinking about returning to motorcycling after 20 years off and the new Himalayan 452 has my attention.
I own the 500 classic in the thumbnail, it's better than i ever expected and absolutely beautiful.
Have GT 650 which I have owned for 3 years and covering 12,000 miles without faults….From the UK….
I was thinking about a tenere 700, but that hamalayan looks pretty cool.
Yes, it doesn't have as much power but it has enough. And it is lighter and less expensive.
Rumour is that their 650 ADV will be more road oriented with a 19 inch front wheel.
@DifferentSpokesTV I guess that I will have to start saving for the Tiger 660 Rally. I hear that is in the works.
I would love to see you review of the Tiger line-up.
The GT Continental chrome tank with big bore and a fast cam. I would love that.
Theres something about Re design and the new bikes are packed, their research and development is amazing, marketing amazing. RE have really become bigger and better also price are affordable
I bought a Scram. Lovely little bike. I will, however, be trading it for the new Himmy. I've got a taste for off road riding and the more off road bias of the Himmy along with the extra pep makes it a good decision for me.
pozdrawiam z Polski
Just bought a new to me interceptor. Great price in Thailand second hand but their reputation is growing here
bought a 650gt 2 years ago, very impressed with the general build quality, the paint on the tankwould put some high end auto makers to shame, only relays and ignition switch giving problems, suspension is budget so upgraded asap
Yep, I was pleasantly surprised at how high quality the Hunter looked in person.
Great video, super informative……I agree and love my classic
The Himalayan has been on my mind a lot lately - I think I'll wait for the 450 to come out for the 411 to get a little less expensive 😁 helps that they're already affordable anyway.
Hey, Spite. I’ve been riding a 1995 350 Bullet here in Saskatchewan every summer since about 1997 or 1998. You should have bought one.
I've owned BMW'S for almost 50 years and now have a Classic 350 and a GT 650. My dealer sells both brands- lucky for me.!! Quality for an affordable price... 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️
There are a lot of people switching from BMW to RE in the comments. The Germans better watch out.
Correction! They also produce motorcycles us old timers want too! Not just for young’uns!
True. They remind me of the old school bikes I grew up with in Europe.
Funny how a simple bike can deliver the smiles.
Just bought a meteor 350. Smooth & refined engine. Great looks.
450 for off road. 650 is too much on India roads. Guess I got the best.
The 99% blacked out Classic is super cool looking to me and has very comfortable ergos, put the 650 or a liquid cooled engine in it and I’d want one.
The video should have touched what actually revived Enfield from filling into bankruptcy: The 2008 UC engine. It modernized the 1940s British design that remained in production till 2008. In 2010 they launched Classic with the UC and that totally changed their fortunes overnight.
I ride a RE CL350 2022 ! And have gone over 10 in the 1 year 4 months I’ve owned it ! Including on the Dragon !
That bike is getting a workout. It would definitely stand apart on the Dragon.
@@DifferentSpokesTV it did , the photographers sed it was the only/ first one they’ve seen or photographed
I had no idea the INT and continental 650's were only four years old. That means my 2018 Tacoma is older than the modern Royal Enfield's. At any rate I am the proud owner of a Super Meteor 650. It is Easly the most comfortable motorcycle I have ever ridden on the street.
RE is on a roll!
I have meters 350 yellow. It was a amazing bike it heavy it not fast, just enough to go where I wanted. It built like a tank but it always trun head when I drive it around. Love her my buffy girl lol.
My bike brand of choice for the last couple of years
The next move for Royal Enfield ought to be a 125.
I really liked the Hunter 350 that was on display at the Toronto show last week. Looks like a great value compared to the competition.
Yes, they look really good in person. RE brings the value with the quality it seems.
I have Owned 3 RE’s quality, stylish @ and reasonably price plus 3 yr warranty. Enough said
there are a few Enfields in my line of sight. there is a high probability that my wife and i will own a pair Himalayan 450s at some point. in the meantime, i have the hots for ContiGT, one of the Dark editions with the alloy wheels. that Shotgun is pretty interesting, as well.
was looking at the Hunter 350..... but then Triumph came out with the Speed 400......oh what to do!!lol thanks for the videos gooder stuff!!
The Triumph definitely has more power but will also cost more. You should definitely test ride both.
Yes, RE has the exact opposite approach to doing business.
PS, I own a Classic 350 and a Meteor 350. Previously I had a Himalayan and a Bullet 500.
Nice!
I hope they come out with a high displacement V twin for touring at a reasonable price no doubt would be great with their sidecars
I would love to get a test ride on a Himalayan 450!
Thank you!
I love me 535 continental GT. I will keep it till I can't ride anymore then I'll garage it and pass it on to my son or grandson.
I’d love to add the new Himalayan to the garage but then there’s the Interceptor and the Continental. But then what colour do you choose? Such beauty’s
RE seems to have a different colour for each day of the week.
A Himalayan may be my retirement bike. After I use up this F900GS.
Owning a Meteor 350, I was a bit disappointed when I testrode a Continental GT 650 because I missed the revving characteristic of the one-cylinder engine. A just slightly beefed up Meteor or Classic I would by right away.
Maybe an air filter and exhaust would make enough difference in power.
