One of the sneakiest things Lucifer ever did, was divide believers with denominations. Denominations are of man, not God. We are told plain as day by God, to be of one mind.
Yup!!! You got it right brother. Jesus is NOT looking for a denomination, His concern is that we are “one body and one spirit with HIM”, and are led by The Holy Spirit. We have definitely allowed satan to complicate things, we’re focusing on religion and traditions more than we’re looking to Jesus Himself.
@@Thebiggdill but some denominations believe the Gospel and others don’t. Like the Catholic Church believes the traditions save, not accepting Christ does
As a cradle Catholic, I leaned heavily toward Protestantism and contemplated leaving the Catholic faith, which I thought was too strict on divorce 17 years ago. I was completely transformed after a thirteen-day pilgrimage in Medjugorje. I became a born-again Catholic and have developed a great love for Jesus in the Eucharist as my love for our Blessed Mother increases. Catholic has the fullness of truth, and my heart burns to hear a similar conversion.
I have gone through something similiar, although I didn't go to a pilgrimage. For many years I was "catholic" because my parents were catholic. I used to go to mass (sometimes), but I never cared too much about catholicism nor what the Church had to teach. I just cared about God (little did I know...). I began believing in bits and pieces of a syncretic religion and, really, I was completely lost. After a good while suffering with life and my sins, I realized I needed to have God as the actual priority of my life. Initially I just doing it by myself, just reading the Bible more and praying but I would always end up failing and forgetting about Him again. I basically gave up on doing it my way and started to beg Him to guide me. To help me actually love Him with all my heart, soul and understanding and to love my neighbors as I love myself. He guided me to the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church ❤ He made me fall in love with His mystical body (which is Our Lord's bride, the Church) and I fell in love with Our Lady! I also began learning about the saints and it is all so lovely. So overflowingly satisfying! Our Lady is the new and improved Ark of the Covenant, the Spiritual Vessel, the greatest and holiest of all creatures (unless you take the Creature who is also Creator into consideration haha)! The saints are wonderful stars who reflect the Light of Christ! I starved spiritually for so long and I had this richness by my side this whole time! My heart also burns to hear from people who love Christ in His fullness. Head and Mystical Body.
@@Beproductivetodayyall Praise God. Sad to know 70% of Catholics don’t believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and/or not receiving Him with full reverence and preparation beforehand in a state of grace.
I became catholic again after listening to Father Lampert, Father Martin, Father Ripperger etc. The exorcists of the catholic church. They explained everything that I did not understand. We do not worship Mama Mary. We pray to Her and the saints to pray for us, like you would ask your friend to pray for u. ❤
@@Ajmodebatiratieven the devil knows that those who are in the presence of God are more alive. I dnt know which bible you read that says those who die believing in Christ and are in God's presence are dead.
This is one of probably 3 main things I don’t understand. Why not just pray directly to God? Yes, believers’s souls are alive but why would they have the ability to hear our prayers. I don’t recall anywhere in the Bible we are instructed to have Moses or anyone else to be an intercessor. Holy Spirit gives us that direct line to hear God. Gideon prayed for direct signs from God, which my family personally does the same with success. I also, don’t understand baptizing a baby when it is a chosen sign of faith and a baby is too young for that. I also believe because faith is a choice and we are imperfect that our works cannot get us into Heaven. We have to make a choice to repent, acknowledge Jesus as our LORD and resurrected savior, and ask Holy Spirit to dwell in us. Then should continuing to choose to learn and follow, but that seal on our heart is there through faith alone. I’m not trying to criticize, I’ve watched a lot of Catholic speakers that I admire, I just am trying to understand. I personally only know one Catholic, my friend and chiropractor but she has never been willing to open up because she was taught to hide her beliefs due to how Hollywood negatively portrays the faith.

I left the Catholic faith as I believe it mixes paganism with Christianity. It relies on relics, praying to numorous saints and intermideafors. Its lacking true spirit filled faith. It teaches purgatory snd paying for masses to get dead relatives out of purgatory. While I love Mother Mary Catholicism regards her as the Queen of heaven which is blasphemous as their is only one king of heaven God himself who says I will not share my glory with another.
Agree, many traditions uphold idolatry. I have met Spirit filled catholics, Jesus' salvation reaches far beyond denominations and 'religion' in the church however I have met far more catholics that just kind of blindly inherit the faith. God has no grandchildren only children
Relics are biblical. The saints and Mary are prayed to for intercession and your comment about paying for indulgences is false. It might have happened 500 years ago but not today. It’s customary to offer some sort of money for a mass intention but it’s never required.
Is your interpretation of Scripture infallibly correct? Has the Holy Spirit guided you into "all truth" (John 16:13)? Have you attained "the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ; so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine" (Eph 4:11-16)? If not, by what standard do you judge the Catholic Church?
😢There is no longer Jew or Gentile" is a phrase from the Bible, Galatians 3:28, which states, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus".
Catholics also believe that Peter was the first pope. Peter denied Christ, Peter sat with Jews instead of gentiles and was rebuked by Paul. No Catholic is saying the Pope is perfect. Come to Rome, it truly is the only Church Christ established.
I was thinking about changing denominations and told God that I would go where He wanted me to. One day in a small chapel during daily mass I saw Jesus in the last supper and crucifixion, when the bread becomes Him. I was trying very hard not to cry. The love I felt was huge. Needles to say, I stayed in the Catholic Church.
@@Thebiggdillthat’s a little unfair. Not all denominations are evil like you say. Most are just a way to separate specific, and most of the time secondary non salvific beliefs. However, and this is a big however, the Roman Catholic Church is one of those denominations. Not only are they unbiblical, heretical, and in some cases outright blasphemous, but the history of their beginnings have little to do with Jesus. For the first 300 years the Roman’s outright banned Christianity and Christian’s were persecuted mercilessly. Along comes emperor Constantine who was ruling at a time when the Roman Empire was falling apart so he lifted the ban on Christianity and attempted to unify Christians and the Roman Empire by calling the counsel of nicea. Instead, Constantine refused to fully embrace the faith and continued practicing Roman pagan beliefs. The RCC from the start was a toxic mix of Christian and pagan beliefs. The literal presence of Christ in the Eucharist that OP felt so much love for (no offense) is completely unbiblical but was a very popular practice among Roman pagans called theophagy “eating of your god” and was commonly practiced long before Rome’s conversion. Each saint has a different attribute you pray for a particular blessing like saint Beretta for fertility. Nowhere is this taught in scripture but the Roman pantheon of gods was identical. In fact, they kept all of their statues in their temples and just renamed them after the apostles and other saints. The RCC declared itself the “vicar of Christ” and eventually when the Roman Empire collapsed, the popes took on the same title as the Roman emperor “Pontifex Maximus”. I could go on and on but you get the point. Of course Catholics deny this. They hide their pagan practices under convoluted and unbiblical theology. For this reason they are forced to deny the sufficiency of scripture.
"You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. " - this is God speaking... so that picture of Jesus? And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.” John 20:21-23 “Our apostles also knew, through our Lord Jesus Christ, that there would be strife on account of the office of the episcopate. For this reason, therefore, inasmuch as they had obtained a perfect fore-knowledge of this, they appointed those [ministers] already mentioned, and afterwards gave instructions, that when these should fall asleep, other approved men should succeed them in their ministry.” - Clement of Rome, Letter to the Corinthians, Ch. 44, ca. 96 AD
@EB-gt1pq Because Jesus delegated authority to the Apostles and their successors to forgive sins. Jesus is King. Kings delegate their authority to ministers but the credit and responsibility is always given to the king.
Oh I love! to see two of my favourite people choose my Catholic faith to be theirs. It is a beautiful church to be home. God bless them and their messages of love! 🌹
Yes. The church is a body. The body has a brain. The brain tells the body what to do. We have a pope who tells us what to do. Jesus said if your brother won’t listen to the church. Mt 18. How do u listen to 1000s of churches ?

Even Jesus did NOT worship His mother! "And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” Luke 11:27-28 NKJV
Yet another example of a non-Catholic asserting false teachings of the Catholic church. Catholics don't worship Mary. If your gonna engage, at least learn what the other side believes first.
@@jtnicholson333then tell them why they are wrong, instead of just saying they are wrong. Veneration of Mary is not biblical, nor praying to saints to go to God for you. Jesus’s death and resurrection gave us a direct line to God. We do not need an earthly gatekeeper. The gate is open and ready for us to step through. Just saying we can all agree the Catholic Church added some things that shouldn’t be there.
If you really believed God’s word you would 1. First understand that it was the Catholic Church who compiled it. And 2. One of the Bible verses that prove Mary should be venerated is this one from Luke 1:41-42 ‘ When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was FILLED with the HOLY SPIRIT. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “BLESSED are you among women, and BLESSED is the child you will bear!” ‘ The Holy Spirit who filled Elizabeth, and the Holy Spirit who is God and God who is Jesus, described Mary and Jesus WITH the same WORD = BLESSED. If you can’t believe it, then you really don’t believe the Bible or Jesus.
Inspired by God Mary said when she visited her cousin All nations will call me blessed. Catholic do not worship Mary. Jesus gave us His mother to be ours to that means all humanity. Behold your mother
*DON'T forget, this isn't about theology or intellect. God's love and relationship with us is about praising Him, seeking Him and love Him "in Spirit and in Truth." The rest places something subtle between you and God. That's pure religiosity!* (I guess Satan continues to outsmart us)
I love my Catholic brothers and sisters. I am a Gentile grafted into the Messianic community I pray to our Lord and Savior too. But I will never pray to anyone else.
God didn’t need Martín Luther to reform the Catholic Church . . HE got it right the first time when HE said to Peter in HIS human nature :”Upon this rock you will build my church .”
It boggles me when people say theology of all things BROUGHT them to catholic or orthodox churches rather than AWAY from them. Catholics and Orthodox both claim there is no salvation outside of their church because they are the only one. Orthodox even call Catholics the first protestants lol. The church means, everyone who is set aside to be saved by Christ. The protestant reformation was a course correction, not a deviation from course.
Stop it with your smug remarks. Everything she says is the truth about the church. The church is perfect. Some of the people in it are not. Sick people go to hospitals. Sinners go to church. Your hypocrisy is appalling.
She says she was swayed by intellectual arguments but what convinced her was that the eucharist is actually Jesus' body. That's not an intellectual argument.
It isn't. The emotional appeal of being connected to God thru a ritual has appeal to some. All the catholic talking points come after the fact. I find many catholic converts are drawn in by the pageantry of the catholic church, its aesthetics and beauty, smells and bells, etc. It is like appreciating art than it is pure cold logic.
The Saddest part of Catholicism is that the Bible is not the ultimate determination of truth. Its a combination of tradition, Bible and the Vatican (pope) Ultimately the religious aspect Jesus was completely against it. We are not qualified to interpret the bible according to the Catholic Church. The biggest thing is that the Catholic church IS organized and globally. You really don't have to do much work in figuring out what is the "right" thing to do as they pretty much have it covered. How to pray, how to worship how to do good deeds etc and the Catholic church gets to say if you're a good Christian or not. Except God never said that people show follow and obey an organization.
Jesus wasn't against tradition, neither the apostles. In fact, the passing of the Christian message during the first decades were all through oral tradition since the Gospels weren't written yet. The main source of truth for the Catholic Church is undoubtedly Scripture, but as you point out we also have Tradition and the Magisterium . You may ask why isn't Scripture the only source? Because Jesus told the apostles that he didn't have time to tell them everything but the Holy Spirit will teach them everything (John 14:26). The action of the Holy Spirit in the Church is shown through the right interpretation of Scripture, but also through Tradition and the Magisterium. I suggest you to read about the first council the Church had, the council of Jerusalem where the apostles got together to decide whether circumcision should be a requirement for the new members of the Church (Act 15). Was it recorded in the Gospels that Jesus say to them that he didn't want people in His Church to be circumcised? No! In fact, he was circumcised. So how did the apostles had the authority to decide and made the right decision? Though the Holy Spirit. John was pretty clear that the Gospels didn't record everything Jesus did (John 21:25), also Paul said to the communities to follow the Traditions (1 Corinthians 11:2). Nowhere does Scripture says it is the only source of truth, that's why the other sources are also very important. Protestantism rejecting Traditions is what has caused so much division, you all can't agree with one another and that's why we have so many versions of the "Truth" when there should be only one. All because you're ignoring the teachings the Apostles passed down to their disciples such as the Church Fathers, and so much stuff. I usually don't reply to this kind of comments, but I have a profound love and respect for the Church. I would just invite you to do a more profound and unbiased background check on the Catholic Church: Where are our true roots? Why have we lasted so long? What is the true meaning of Tradition? Anyway, my words are just words, whether you believe them or maybe get a little motivation to investigate this faith falls in the power of the Holy Spirit m God bless you brother/sister in Christ! Edit: also, sorry if you find anything with the wrong spelling or grammar, my mother tongue is not English
Yeah you’re right that’s why Protestants are divided on so much because the Holy Spirit is telling everyone something different? The fact that the Eucharist was never called just a symbol or memorial for the first 1500 or so years? I’m in the process of conversion because I can’t lie to myself on this stuff anymore. I encourage you to do the same. The bible itself says no scripture is up for private interpretation and that’s all Protestants have ever done. I’m done with being confused.
Well, the Bible isn’t the ultimate authority. If that were true, Jesus would have had no authority over the apostles, because he wasn’t quoting from the Bible (OT & NT fully compiled Bible).
@@TheCoachsCoach933 thank you. Seeing so much confusion amongst Protestants lead me to Messianic beliefs which ironically lead me to Catholicism cuz it makes more sense in transition from old to new covenant. Even the Messianic’s can’t decide what counts and what doesn’t. Though I greatly appreciate what I learned in it because it opened my eyes to stuff in RC like the Queen Mother in the Davidic line of Kings and Passover they would eat the lamb which makes sense with the Eucharist.
The "Church" is not the Catholic Church. The Church is EVERY believer who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ. The gates of hell will not prevail over the church universal.
Universal Church is the meaning of the Roman nation instituted church so all religions would stop warring each other. All Satanic religions became a part of that church. The Catholic Church. Now the worship of Satan is in the home of the pope's.

I'd respectfully disagree that the Catholic church is holding to complete truth. The papacy has changed a lot. Just as the Protestant churches are changing so has the Roman Catholic church. Orthodoxy hasn't changed since Jesus left this earth. That is the reason I became Orthodox vs Catholic or any of the Protestant denominations.
What do you mean they have not changed? They changed along side the Catholic Church on up to 1054 .they changed by not acknowledging the Bishop of Rome as the supreme head of the Catholic Church, they changed in the the teaching of Divorce and contraception.
The one “catholic” church is the sainthood of all believers, not people who are confirmed in the RCC. There’s no other name (or institution) by which we can be saved, save for the name of the Son of God - Christ Jesus. HE alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one goes to the Father except through Him. No institution, priest, denomination, or even correct doctrine saves a person. A person of course must have correct doctrine, but it’s the Person of Jesus Christ who saves and He will sanctify us by the work of the Holy Spirit indwelling believers. We must cling to Jesus, who came to take away the sins of the World. I’m declaring what the Word of God itself says. The path is narrow that leads to salvation and the gate wide that leads to destruction. We cannot work our way into the kingdom of God. We must simply trust in Him, through His Son and the sufficiency of His work on the cross, and out of our love and gratefulness to Him, seek to live for God. Cling to Christ Jesus!
Incorrect. The Catholic Church held specific teachings and practices to be true. Protestants don't subscribe to many of them. And there was no Protestantism at the time of the Apostles. Therefore, "catholic" doesn't apply to Protestants.
@@littleone1656You’re misunderstanding my use of the term “catholic.” The term means “universal.” My point was that the Church, as in the Body of believers at large is not contained in the RCC. The RCC is not the way of salvation; Jesus Christ is. I believe there are genuine followers of Christ in the RCC, just as there are genuine followers in the Orthodox and Protestant denominations. But being a “member” of any of these denominations isn’t what saves a person. It is trusting in Christ a Jesus (and consequently obeying/following Him - because if you trust and love Him, you will follow Him). Some passages - Jesus said, “If you love me, you will obey me.” (John 14:15) He who confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God raised him from the dead will be saved. (Romans 10:9) “What can we do to perform the works of God?” Jesus said, “The work of God is this-that you believe in the one He has sent.” (John 6:28-29).
@@tiffanydaniel8996 I understood you perfectly. There is only ONE Catholic Church. Protestants are not part of it. The early Church was called Catholic, not just because it was considered universal. But bc it adhered to a specific set of doctrines. Most of which you dont abide by. Therefore, not you nor any other Protestant are members of the universal Church as described by the early Christian writers
we have always had the teaching on the Assumption of Mary from the very first from the Apostle’s to the Church Fathers. The Dogma that was written by Pope Pius XII was clarifying what the Church has always taught through Tradition. That is what Dogmas do they clarify what we have always taught. Sometimes things are not written down but are believed by Tradition hence why the Church teaches with Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the Magisterium.
The Bible became widespread only with the invention of the printing press by Johaness Gutenberg in the 15th century in Germany. And he started first in 1455 by press-printing the "Gutenberg" bible, which is an edition of the Latin Vulgate. Only since then people have read the Bible. So how do you think people before 1455 practice Christianity? Of course, through tradition and oral teachings of the Church, not the Bible. Only the Catholic Church have that. I pray that you seek the truth.

The Roman Catholic Church is 100% against • abortion • divorce • condoms • women pastors • pre marital sex • gay marriage • trans Jesus started the Roman Catholic Church
My belief has to do with the connection to the Holy Spirit, prayer, and the word of God. It’s a relationship. Don’t need a church to have faith. The church should be there to support the faith but not try to be what is worshiped.
The CC is the reason why you should NOT have a State Church. When you have a State ran church like Rome did with the CC, you have the ability to create the illusion of unity under the pressure of the State. Thats exactly what Rome did. Constantine destroyed all documents and traditions that he disagreed with and forced his beliefs on the Romans. So of course you are going to have what appears to be consistency for 2,000 years under Catholic teaching.
Don’t worry about it! You have the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, who teaches you all things and brings all that Jesus said to your remembrance (John 14:26!) Seek God above all things and you will learn what you need to know from Him❤️
I'm currently reading a book called, "A Practical Commentary on Holy Scripture" by Bishop Friedrich Justus Knecht. It goes through the Bible and explains what each story means, the background, the history, and the application to our lives. If you ever want to know how Catholics view the Bible and salvation history I really reccomend it. It's in the public domain so you can find the whole thing published free online.
@@moxygirlheyPrayer to the saints is present in the early church and among the church fathers. The Catholic Church is Christ's church established by him. You cannot be of a foreign adoptee church of God, God only has one Church.
It is about a RELATIONSHIP not religion. No RELATIONSHIP no eternal destination of Heaven. Very sad that Satan has successfully blinded the hearts of so many who think they have been successful walking the narrow road that Jesus tells us about. Praying this young woman realizes this before it is too late.❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Same arguments that persuaded me aswell. Apostolic succession, 2000yrs and the gates of hell have not prevailed! That is remarkable. The seat of Peter marks it as the one Jesus built his church on. It’s the real theological questions that lead me to the Catholic Church. God bless you ☺️☺️☺️💯
How many Catholic priests have sexually abused children in their charge? How often did the Church intervene to protect them from justice? Seems like hell has prevailed over the Catholic Church.
@@TheEagleChristian I think it’s less than 1% but the fact that you are pointing to this as your argument says more about you than it does about the church.
“Our apostles also knew, through our Lord Jesus Christ, that there would be strife on account of the office of the episcopate. For this reason, therefore, inasmuch as they had obtained a perfect fore-knowledge of this, they appointed those [ministers] already mentioned, and afterwards gave instructions, that when these should fall asleep, other approved men should succeed them in their ministry.” - Clement of Rome, First Clement, ca. 96 AD
I can affirm that statement by Clement without affirming that the Roman catholic church has maintained this apostolic succession he’s speaking of. Serious question: did anything change in the nature of how leadership (specifically bishops) in the church was chosen during and after the time of Constantine? (If you’re familiar with church history during the medieval age, this is a no brainer)
I was baptized Catholic 10 years ago but I cannot get behind the papacy. I believe the Catholic Church has become far too worldly and has lost it's way. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the mass but I don't believe that you HAVE to become Catholic to be saved. It's all too political for my taste.
actually it does. You see families were being entered into the Catholic Church or the Church which was the time called the way. These families included infants. Also we're not sola scriptura. That is your gripe. Not ours
@@austinwolfe3120 I recommend Dr. Brant Pitre, Dr. Scott Hahn. These guys are legit scholars. Watch some of their lectures. You will be shocked when you see how biblical Catholicism really is. I used to think the same thing but turns out that Catholicism still carries the Jewish roots of Christianity as it should. So to our modern eyes it’s hard to understand.
The reformation happened because Christ promised the gates of hell would not prevail against His church and the Catholic church came close to wiping out the Christian church.
@@EM-ri5dj Slight error, "the way" was the Christian church, not Catholic. Reading of the New Testament will reveal that the Catholic Church does not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus or His apostles. In the New Testament, there is no mention of the papacy, worship/adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning saints in heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture. We are not saved by sacraments; we are saved by faith. As one can see the origin of the Catholic Church is not in the teachings of Jesus and His apostles.
If the Eucharist is truly the body and blood of Our Lord then the Catholic Church is true. It’s as simple as that. “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.” 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 “We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.” Hebrews 13:10 Jesus is a high priest according to the Order of Melchizedek, offering bread and wine, tells his apostles to do the same, and they are NOT priests according to the Order of Melchizedek? How? “Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.” John 20:21-23
We should honor Mary because she submitted to God's will. However, Mary is not to be prayed to or worshipped. No saints either. We have only one mediator between men and God, who is Jesus Christ.
The thing with Catholicism is the reverence they have towards Mary, as if she’s a deity that Jesus has given authority to be a mediator. Mary was a human being, just like we are today, yes by the Power of God she birthed Jesus without a man; it wasn’t because she “chose” to do it out of her own glory and capability. Mary didn’t die a virgin, therefore she’s not a virgin anymore, she WAS a virgin “but” everyyyy one who came (and will come) to this earth also came (and will come) as a virgin, it’s not a peculiar asset to Mary alone. After Jesus, she had s3x with her husband Joseph, and had other children. And throughout the ENTIIIIIIRE Holy Bible, Jesus didn’t give us any instructions to address Mary as a medium between us in God, therefore to do so it’s called “necromancy” on the basis of “IDOLATRY.” When Jesus taught the disciples how to pray, Jesus taught them “Our Heavenly Father……..(you know the rest), Jesus didn’t refer to Mary as anything more special than we are, Jesus didn’t teach us “Hail Mary” prayer, we “chose” to do it. We gave her that pedestal, and out of that tradition and religiosity satan has found a loophole to divide the church and we fall for it, this is what idolatry is about; we tell Jesus His Word and instructions that He CLEARLY left us are not enough and thus adding our tradition makes more sense. It’s ignorance, and it’s also unrighteousness because we’re “choosing” to do what makes sense to us. What people are calling “Mother Mary” today has no idea that they’re referencing one of the most wicked principality….that was “always” satan’s plan, to DECEIVE us, resulting in division and distraction. The beautiful thing about all of this is that, Jesus will have the last say so. And the worst part of allllll this is that Mary herself wasn’t a “Roman Catholic” 😞 (we’re sooo gullible), and she didn’t even d!e as one.
Always nice to hear a non-Catholic tell Catholics what they believe. Mary can intercede on our behalf with her son Jesus when we pray. The miracle of Jesus turning water into wine at a wedding was done because of a request from his mother. Jesus asked her what it had to do with him that they were out of wine? She implored him and he performed a miracle. So, kindly shut up about things you do not understand.

That's interesting to me because those arguments I have heard as well and they are the reason I reject Catholicism. Please please please read that correctly, I am not rejectings Catholics, I reject Catholicism. The argument for the Eucharist relies souly on a literal reading if a metaphorical passage, the argument for the Papacy is a question begging argument where they assume they are right in spite of no evidence and tell you there is evidence because they are right, it is completely illogical, and the chain of Apostolic Authority does not exist. When you read in the book of Acts the apostles sought to fill the role that was left by Judas Iscariot, they had a criteria for who qualified for the position. They had to have been present at the baptism of Jesus, had to be with Him in His ministry, and had to have been a witness of His death, burial, and resurrection. NO ONE qualifies for that position beyond the 14 individuals in the book of Acts and those 14 are the original 11 desciples called by Jesus, the Apostle Paul, and the two men brought forward, Barsabbas and Matthias. Out of 120 individuals who were following Christ with faith, only two were found qualified to be Apostles. And only Matthias was recognized as Apostle. Those were the only 14 individuals who were ever given recognition as potential Apostles and only 13 of them actually were Apostles. There is no chain of authoirty, when the 13 Apostles died, so did their authority, it was not and could not have been passed on to anyone. All that remained is what they left behind in their writings. To this date, the only teaching I find somewhat convincing of Catholicism is salvation as a result of Baptism and even that one is extremely weak in my eyes. Scripture simply does not allow for Catholicism to be true.
I will point you verses that will confirm to you Eucharist is True, how do you call Jesus a liar? Let's begin John Chapter 6. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." 52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" 53 So Jesus said to them, "Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day; 55 for my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Notice in verse 52 when the Jews try to question what Jesus was explaining about giving his flesh to eat Jesus doubles down and a lot of his disciples leave him, and Jesus doesn't stop them from leaving because he meant what he said. But to understand Jesus meant this literal, notice Jesus spoke about the Jews ancestors eating the manna in the wilderness and they died. Let's established what the manna is when you look up John Chapter 6 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'" 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. If you look at psalms 78 25 Mortals ate of the bread of angels; he sent them food in abundance. Notice The manna is bread from heaven and anything that rains down from heaven from God is definitely a miracle it's even described in psalms as the bread of the Angels this is just not regular bread made by man in the bakery. Now also note this Manna that is a miracle that comes from heaven Jesus Describes it as "Your ancestors ate this bread at the wilderness and died" but in John 6 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." Notice The manna and the bread that Jesus Gives both comes from heaven but one the jews are and died, but the one Jesus gives if you eat it, you will live forever and he literally says that it's his flesh, notice also this is just not lateral bread from the bakery it's Jesus flesh from heaven, because it's a Miracle. In these verses Jesus shows us The Eucharist is greater is greater than the Manna in the wilderness which is bread directly from heaven. So if you take the Eucharist as a symbol then you are definitely acknowledging that the manna is greater than the Eucharist even though the Jews are it and died and the Eucharist you eat it and live forever. So for this passage to make sense the Eucharist is the True body of Jesus and if it's a symbol it's not greater than the Manna and it can't save you to live forever because it doesn't come from heaven. However the Body blood sole and divinity of Jesus hidden in the appearance of wine and bread is a Miracle that happens every Sunday at mass and anyone who eats and drinks of it will live forever because his body, blood divinity saves. I hope this clears your doubts on the Eucharist.
@@moengalex6526 thankyou so much for your well studied and thought out response. I appreciate the time you put into it! I'm sorry but no, it does not clear any doubt because you did exactly what I said happens. This is the only passage, I repeat, THE ONLY passage Catholics use to defend the Eucharist and it is beyond flimsy. In this passage Jesus calls Himself, "The door". Do we then say Jesus is a plank of wood with hinges? Of course not! We understand the metaphorical intent of His words. John 6 is metaphor after metaphor after metaphor. And the verses you quoted do not change that. Jesus is using metaphoric language, not literal. As you yourself pointed out, very eloquently and beautifully I might add, that Jesus referenced back to manna, which was bread from heaven. Even though they ate bread that was a miracle from God, they still died. That is Jesus's whole crux here. Eating bread is not enough. Even if it is bread made from angels, brought from heaven, gifted and blessed from God, it is still not enough. We need something beyond the eating of bread. You pointed this out so beautifully and I thankyou for that. Where we depart though is on the application. Continuing in Jesus's teaching He said John 6:51 ESV [51] I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” You quoted this verse as well so please be patient with me as I draw out what I see in it. Who did Jesus say this bread would be given for? Believers? Jews? Gentiles? No. He gave it to, "The world". This absolutely flies against the Eucharist by my understanding because even if I profess Christ and follow the Bible, if I go to a Catholic church, they will not permit me to take part of the Eucharist until they have made certain that I accept Catholicism. By doing this, what Jesus intended to be for the world the Catholic church then revoked and limited it to only those within their recognized and approved group. But now looking at the passage as a whole, everything falls perfectly in line if we take it metaphorically. What was the bread that Jesus gives? His flesh. How did He give it? By dying on the cross to pay the death that God's justice demands for sin. What did this accomplish? 2 Corinthians 5:19 ESV [19] that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Notice the same language? Through Christ God brought reconciliation to who? The world. How? Through Christ's death. And what did Jesus say His death would bring in John 6? Life to the world. It is one message from start to finish but this gets absolutely dismantled if we take a literal reading. You said Jesus would be a liar if we don't take a literal meaning, respectfully I disagree (shocker ;) ). Neither view makes Jesus a liar. The metaphoric view takes His words to have a meaning beyond canablism, and the literal view takes the words at face value. This is not a question that can be answered through morality, like saying one makes Jesus a liar, but the answer can only be granted when we seek to answer the question, "How does the rest of the New Testament treat Christ's body as the bread?" And even in the upper room, when Jesus gave bread He said, "This is my body which is broken for you." Jesus didn't cut off a slab of His skin to give to His apostles, the bread was a symbol of Christ body. And what happened to Christ shortly after this? His crucifixion. It all points straight at the cross where He was offered up as the propitiation for sins.
@@andrewjackson8244 it's up to you, but it's the truth is, it clears it, down, if you honestly went through what I said and still think the Eucharist is Just bread made in the bakery then what you just said is that the manna in the wilderness that doesn't save, is greater than The Eucharist which you eat and you live forever, in shot according to you The manna is is a Miracle and the Eucharist is bread from a bakery and is not greater than the Manna is the wilderness which is a miracle. I just pray to Christ to open your eyes, if it were Just bread it would never save you, Jesus made it clear, "Truly if you do not eat my body or drink my blood you have no life in yourself (eternal life) for my body is True food and my blood is True drink. Anyways peace of Christ be with you.
@@andrewjackson8244 the other problem with you, is you are accusing Catholics of Cannibalism and that is not the understanding of the Church, if the bread would turn to an ear and we ate it then it would be Cannibalism, what happens here is called transubstantiation where by the bread and wine stays but the substance remains.
@@moengalex6526 I think you miss my point though. And I appreciate that you truly wish for me to come to believe what you perceive as true. Regardless of what the outcome of this conversation, your love for a fellow human can not be questioned and does not go unnoticed. Now maybe I wasn't clear, I do not place any value of salvation on the Eucharist. I do not find the power in it that you claim. Why? Because it is all metaphoric to Jesus dying on the cross and us placing our faith in His finished work. Yes it is true, if we do not eat of His flesh or drink of His blood there is no life, but what is the application of that? You presume it is the Eucharist, I do not agree. I believe it is the pillar of faith. By placing your faith in Christ you are partaking in His death, burial, and resurrection. This is supported in the Epistles as well as the Gospels. What I am saying is there is nothing in the Eucharist with the power to save because John 6 has nothing to do with the Eucharist or Communion but everything to do with a person placing their faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. That is the meaning of John 6. I can support that with the other three Gospels, Romans, Corinthians, Hebrews, James, 1 John and really every book in the Bible. Also I do not place the manna in the wilderness as more important than Communion. I am saying the two are incomparable, which is what Jesus was saying. We need something more than manna, not something comparable to it. This is why I reject the teachings of the Eucharist, and really Catholicsm. In order to get the Eucharist, you have to start with the premise of the Eucharist, read that onto the text of John 6 to try and act like Jesus was talking about the Eucharist when He wasnt, and take a literal interpretation of a metaphorical passage. Nothing adds up, I see no support at all in the Bible for the teaching of the Eucharist.
Like what he said to peter, And I say also unto thee, Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it The catholic church will always prevail against sin and temptation
I’m not sure you’ve fully understood the grammar of that scripture. And the context. Although it would seem that way read simply, the use of the word “this” means that it isn’t him, but where God sends him. We can’t treat Peter like an idol. We only ever go back to Jesus, if we look to another “human” we know something isnt right. Doesn’t mean we can’t be grateful for the church fathers and their work. But who cares about them. I worship Jesus, he died for us not Peter. Peter was just an obedient man that did Gods work among many others.
@Jack-yf1ss @Jack-yf1ss I was just quoting the Bible, I have done a lot of stuff in the catholic faith, I was trying to get at the fact that he was letting peter know that the church will never fail. Mb for not clarifying lol
@fatbysnacksident3217 yea I know that he was talking about how the church won't fail to peter. Sorry bout that, still a teen trying to figure out Bible quotes lol
Love Lila & her ministry but the RCC allegiance is an oddball. Her points here that "confirm" RCC are categorical errors. Succession to papacy isnt a biblical framework ("royal priesthood" of all saints, for example) and neither is transubstantiation. That said, im grateful for her work and pray the Lord will continue to use her to point others to Jesus and to save unborn lives!
“How do you receive the eucharist? Well you come under his church.” THIS IS NOT BIBLICAL THIS IS NOT WHAT JESUS SAID PEOPLE. In fact it’s what he came against. Jesus tore the vail, nothing in between you having a relationship with the trinity now. A church is a body of believers not the way to God. Jesus is the way. Talk to him and read the word of God he’s real and he’s right with you.
Why I'm not a catholic: Jesus says call no man father (Matthew 23:9), Mary had other children and she was not God's mother, Queen of Heaven is eerily similar to what catholics call "the virgin Mary", pope basically means "papa" and Peter definitely had a wife, catholicism forbids a pope to marry, lent teaches to abstain from meat (doctrines of men), catholics changed the 10 commandments to purposely elevate the pope, universal church is literally what the antichrist is going to set up. Rev. 17 and 18 is specific to Rome, which is where catholicism came from. Transubstantiation is not a thing. Cannibalism is strictly forbidden and we are not to drink blood. The dead don't send prayers to God on your behalf, Jesus is our only mediator. Vain repetitions don't impress God. And looking at my savior dead on the cross is not a "good reminder" as some say. My savior, the Lord Jesus Christ is alive! He is not a statue (graven image). “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
@@brittanypls if you got it all figured out, the. What are you doing here? Nobody here is going to listen to you, at least no true Catholics are . Everything you have said has been debunked and refuted by Catholic scholars for centuries. It's actually mind numbing to repeat those arguments over and over again. All you heretics, I leave to your own devices. You can explain to Our Lord at your death why you rejected His Body and Blood and why you rejected His mother, who was chosen by God to bring us and to bring us to Jesus. Go ahead ...

The Bible is the truth I look to Jesus as my savior I only try to emulate his ways The papacy and the Vatican seem so far from the image of Christ who would preach the word outside so everyone could hear he did so without any idols, gold statues, burning incense, fancy robes and we warned of such things We are humans who are weak and fail so I put no faith in man only in The Lord However the lord does put people in positions to teach and help others find the way so I pray for all of our teachers, priests and pastors Thank you lord
I have always thought the same! It always strikes me as odd when churches, especially Catholic ones, tend to name their churches and buildings after “saint ____” rather than Jesus as well. I will never understand why they tend to put others before Jesus. At least that’s what it seems like to me.
The bible is just a collection of books superglued together… who decides in the first place which are included and excluded? It’s the church councils that decided… theoretically lead / guided by the holy spirit. It’s the case of egg (bible) or chicken (church); which came first? Clear for the first 350 odd years, it was the church (chicken) first that put together (lay) the bible (egg).
@sacredheart0760 darling not papacy not Bible at all. The Bible was made by a sussesor of Peter, meaning a Pope, so, not Peter, not the Church, not the Bible, and none of your denominations existed if there's not Peter (Popes).
@@TheCoachsCoach933 if you’d like to help someone understand the word of Our Father you may want to come from a better place I’m always trying to learn and understand more about the Bible and we all have different levels of intelligence and spiritual maturity so if you know something that’s good and beneficial for those of us that are perhaps still trying to understand or maybe just starting to read the word that’s great but your delivery seems a little harsh i apologize if I insulted you in any way I was expressing my feelings but I am always open and wanting to learn more God bless you 🙏❤️
Many devoted Christians in the Catholic faith. Putting aside every argument of the things not ordained by Christ, what the leader of the church is saying and allowing shows that it is not following Christ.
That's not really true though, because we have so many denominations trying to follow the Bible who all believe different things. The Bible is super clear on most topics, but there are some it doesn't directly address. For example, birth control. There are verses about related topics but nothing that clearly says yes or no or under what circumstances it would be allowed. Perhaps most importantly, nowhere in the Bible does it say which books belong in the Bible!
@@annewithane7876 There are a lot of denominations that add things and ignore things from the Bible… which is why there are now so many non denominational churches that focus on what the Bible says rather than traditions and protocols
@@joyfulhomemaker8053 I've been to many of them before I became Catholic and I liked that they were trying to get away from all the divisions, but they just didn't have answers for me for the questions I had.
No change with the Assumption. It was always believed by the Early Church. Only difference is that the Church finally nailed it down formally. God bless~
If God took Enoch, He can also, if he wants to, take others in the same fashion. The assumption itself is not as problematic as the rest of the Marion dogmas. The literature of the Roman Catholic Church concerning Mary is idolatrous.
Fascinating. I actually left Catholicism for Eastern Orthodox Christianity. I went to a catholic school growing up and was raised in a Catholic family. I really feel the Catholic church has changed too much over the years, where the Orthodox Church follows true apostolic succession and hasn’t changed since its inception in the early 1st century.
This makes me sad. Lila seems to be such a sweet woman, a woman that exudes the Fruits of the Spirit - but the Catholic Church itself is full of corruption & false doctrine. I realize many Protestant churches are as well, but this is one reason why we shouldn't follow a denomination, we should follow Christ. I pray Lila wakes up to the false teachings of Catholicism, but I also think she's a good example of a Holy Spirit filled believer.
@@I.Kat. I just replied to you but I'm not seeing it so I'll try again. None are "right," aside from the Philadelphia Church of Revelation, but that isn't a denomination - it's people that have their faith in Christ & His _finished_ work on the cross _alone,_ rather than in their own works, their (in)ability to follow the law, sacraments & confessions, traditions or a specific denomination. We are saved by His grace through our faith. That's it. All the other stuff isn't the cause of salvation, they're results of it. 🙂
You can say indulgences were never church doctrine but that doesn't mean the church didn't sell them. You can say there is consistency from the time of Jesus but He never taught to pray to anyone besides the Father. You can claim apostolic succession but the Orthodox Church has just as strong a claim.
The Catholic Church brought me the most spiritual peace I’ve ever felt in my life. I’ve been to many churches and I never felt that way, not even close. It’s not the Catholic Church that saved me .., it was the spiritual love from God inside the Catholic Church that saved me, haven’t look back since. No other man can tell me otherwise because they wouldn’t know. It’s a love between me and God that is so real and so pure.
But there sure seems like there's a huge Bullseye on the Holy Catholic Church, and for those who are paying attention , this speaks Volumes. The enemy is running out of time and he's going to be Crushed by a human Woman, Our Queen Mother Mary. Our Momma wears Combat Boots and She knows how to use them. Viva Cristo Rey
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?You're blaspheming, and people should know about it. On the Judgment day, only on who is coming to save us is Jesus Christ, and the thing you descibed is: Rev. 17 "The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls." - that is great PROSTITUTE! People, pleaaase, come to the Lord, to HIS teachings! Don't be misled!
Dear Lila, I have the greatest respect for you. For a time I entertained becoming Roman Catholic too, but came to recognize that most parishioners are devoted to the heirarchy of the priesthood, not a personal need for a relationship with Jesus Christ. In review of the most militantly pro abortion leaders, I discovered the most evil promoters were brought up Catholic and Jesuit (I.e. Biden, Pelosi, Trudeau, Fauci). I pray you return to your simple, biblical faith, not the reliance on the counterfeit ancient religion that has persecuted and killed many millions of Reformed followers. Hope you will reconsider your position. Much love and grace to you in Jesus, and your ministry dear.

Orthodoxy is very divided. The oriental and eastern have different theology ideals. Catholicism is ONE church, but sadly orthodoxy is split with oriental, eastern. There’s 2 orthodox church’s where I live, one Coptic, another one Greek, and the Coptic one doesn’t approve of the Greek Orthodox one. So yea, orthodoxy is beautiful: but very divided.
Tradition and Philosophical Foundations in Catholic Mass 1. **Historical Context of Tradition**: - The Catholic Mass is steeped in centuries-old traditions that reflect the Church's evolving understanding of faith, spirituality, and the divine. These traditions are not just rituals; they are a means of connecting with the sacred and the community. 2. **Philosophical Underpinnings**: - Aristotle's philosophy, particularly his ideas about form and substance, has significantly influenced Catholic theology. The Church Fathers, including St. Thomas Aquinas, integrated Aristotelian thought into Christian doctrine, helping to articulate the nature of God, the soul, and the material world. This philosophical framework supports a deeper understanding of the Mass as a transformative event. 3. **Mystical Practices in Historical Context**: - In the early Church, various mystical practices, including elements of geomancy and numerology, were sometimes intertwined with spiritual beliefs. While the Church has generally distanced itself from practices deemed superstitious, it is crucial to recognize that the ancient context often saw these practices as ways to understand the divine order of the universe. 4. **Necromancy and the Communion of Saints**: - The Catholic tradition honors the communion of saints, which involves a connection between the living and the deceased. While necromancy in the modern sense is condemned, the reverence for saints and martyrs can be seen as a form of seeking intercession from those who have passed. This connection underscores the belief in eternal life and the significance of community beyond death. 5. **Numerology and Liturgical Symbolism**: - Numbers have held symbolic significance in the Catholic tradition (e.g., the Trinity, the seven sacraments). Understanding these numerological aspects can enhance the liturgical experience, adding layers of meaning to the rituals and prayers. 6. **The Role of Tradition**: - Tradition in the Catholic Church is not static; it evolves while maintaining core beliefs. Engaging with historical practices and philosophical ideas allows for a richer, more profound experience of the Mass, inviting worshippers to contemplate the mysteries of faith. 7. **Conclusion**: - While the Catholic Church today may reject certain practices associated with necromancy and geomancy, the historical context and philosophical foundations that underpin the Mass highlight the importance of tradition. These elements invite believers to engage deeply with their faith, fostering a holistic understanding of their spiritual heritage. In summary, the integration of philosophy, historical practices, and the essence of tradition enriches the Catholic Mass, allowing it to remain a vital expression of faith through the ages mixing the exiting bits from all different beliefs.
It's so wrong to be uplifting Mary. It doesn't say anything about that in the bible. We are only to worship Jesus. He said the only way to the father is through him. Not Mary, not the saints. Him.
NO SACRAFICE, NO WORSHIP. The Jews gave their first animal or crops to God as a burnt offering. Catholics have the Eucharist. Aztecs did human sacrafice. Ba'al demands sacrafice too (false idols). Singing and reading a verse or two on Sunday IS NOT WORSHIP. NO SACRAFICE, NO WORSHIP.

This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. Cannibalism and drinking blood are prohibited. Jesus was at a Passover seder, breaking matzah and drinking the four cups of wine. He said as often as we do this, we should remember him. This just serves to divide us. I very much dislike this. I understand a love for a certain church but what she’s saying I don’t agree with. Churches around here are historians majorly and are very in-depth and atleast in the nondenom churches one consensus in theology that is not confusing. I very much think this isn’t good.
What serves to divide us? The original Church all believers were united under for over 1000 years, or the hundreds of splinter groups that broke off from it? Denominations divide people. Before denominations, there was one Church where all Christians were united under one set of beliefs, and it was the Catholic Church. That's just a historical fact. Now, people do what Paul warned against - "Some say, "I follow Cephas. I follow Paul. I follow Apollo... I follow Luther. I follow Calvin. I follow Darby, or Wesley, etc, etc".
And the argument for any faith especially the Catholic Church for me that makes me not believe is they never speak of the Gospel, the Good news. Only the RCC and it’s history.
What's the RCC? Have you ever looked at the Baltimore Catechism? That's what is the beliefs/ teach of the church and scripture is quoted in every lesson. I'm confused why people believe that the Word of God doesn't guide His Church? Is it bc they also have other things (not just the Bible) that guide them you find so off-putting?
@@silkesteinbeck8560just because they quote scripture doesn't make them biblical. Satan quoted scripture to Jesus. The pharisees quoted and held to correct doctrine, but Jesus said about them, "Do what they say, not what they do." If you want to argue the church is biblical, very well. But quoting scripture does not make them biblical.
@@Joshua39-w7j as I said, even if the mass quotes the Bible doesn’t mean it’s biblical. For reference, I grew Catholic, in the Latin Rite, a very traditional part of the Catholic Church.
Most of what she said brought her to Catholicism is also what Protestants hold high. We only stay away from praying to people that are no longer here on earth and can’t hear us, and since the papacy started in 560 ad or so we don’t honor the papacy over scripture. All denominations of Christianity that hold to gore doctrine are part of the true church, the body of Christ, the people bringing the kingdom of heaven to earth. We should unite as one body.
I think those who have disagreements on what the Catholic church teaches or if it is a true church, it would be good if they could delve a bit deeper into history and into the writings of early church fathers, who lived during the first few centuries and many of whom were disciples of the apostles themselves and been bishops appointed by them, and see what they have to say about infant baptism, Mary, communion or anything protestants disagree with catholicism and see if they are made up or have been from the begining and that will clear a lot of doubts.

I agree! But it was the Catholic Church who compiled the Bible in the Councils of Carthage and Hippo. Without the authority of the Catholic Church, it would not be common belief that the four Gospels writers were divinely inspired.
It’s about salvation through faith, not the Eucharist. Inviting Jesus to be Lord of your life, after you accept his gift on the cross. Communion is a solemn remembrance of the gift, it isn’t his actual body and blood. Creepy.
i encountered people mentioning about some baptists arguing "his name was John the Baptist, not John the Catholic", similarly roman-catholics stole and improperly used the word catholic after the 1054 Schism. pope Honorius was considered a heretic for monothelitism, patriarchs are humans and humans are not infallible
Romans 3:10-12 ESV [10] as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; [11] no one understands; no one seeks for God. [12] All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”
Christ buily a church. He says so im scripture
Exactly! Now, would non-Catholics agree to this? NOT, because they are the only ones who are saved. 😂
Satan is a deceiver who distracts people from the truth.
He guided me to the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church ❤
He made me fall in love with His mystical body (which is Our Lord's bride, the Church) and I fell in love with Our Lady!
Welcome home! ❤️

@@EugeneEmmaKatalemwa please, tell me then a biblical verse from a bible you read, and let it not be from the books of apocripha.

Denominations are of man, not God. God tells us all to be of "one mind". Man has used denominations for their own power, greed, pettiness and pride.

The Saddest part of Catholicism is that the Bible is not the ultimate determination of truth. Its a combination of tradition, Bible and the Vatican (pope)
Ultimately the religious aspect Jesus was completely against it.
Meanwhile the New Testament came from the Catholic Church.

Same arguments that persuaded me to Orthodoxy❤
I'd respectfully disagree that the Catholic church is holding to complete truth. The papacy has changed a lot. Just as the Protestant churches are changing so has the Roman Catholic church. Orthodoxy hasn't changed since Jesus left this earth. That is the reason I became Orthodox vs Catholic or any of the Protestant denominations.
Good for you brother

The Roman Catholic Church changed literally everything, including the eucharist lol. The Orthodox church hasn't
Some passages -
Jesus said, “If you love me, you will obey me.” (John 14:15)
He who confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God raised him from the dead will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
“What can we do to perform the works of God?”
Jesus said, “The work of God is this-that you believe in the one He has sent.” (John 6:28-29).
@@Toasterkm99 incorrect. Again, the history proves you wrong. It's no surprise you deny the history. That's the only way to be Protestant.
So you don’t believe in the gospel?
we have always had the teaching on the Assumption of Mary from the very first from the Apostle’s to the Church Fathers.
The assumption is an ancient belief, only dogmatized recently

The most compelling argument should come from the Bible, not the catholic church. I pray you see the truth.
Who told you what the bible is? Catholjc church did in 4th century
@@johnyang1420 Cool story.

As a very new Christian I don’t understand anything she is talking about 😅
Don’t worry about it! You have the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, who teaches you all things and brings all that Jesus said to your remembrance (John 14:26!)

Stay away from this type of stuff. Christ is the way, the Catholics pray to saints
I'm currently reading a book called, "A Practical Commentary on Holy Scripture" by Bishop Friedrich Justus Knecht. If you ever want to know how Catholics view the Bible and salvation history I really reccomend it. It's in the public domain so you can find the whole thing published free online.
Look into the apostolic tradition and the church fathers to understand what she’s saying. They were the first pastors and knew Christ/ the apostles.

STUDY THE EARLY CHURCH (especially the writings of the fathers before the council of Nicaea and the introduction of state-appointed bishops)
“Our apostles also knew, through our Lord Jesus Christ, that there would be strife on account of the office of the episcopate. For this reason, therefore, inasmuch as they had obtained a perfect fore-knowledge of this, they appointed those [ministers] already mentioned, and afterwards gave instructions, that when these should fall asleep, other approved men should succeed them in their ministry.”
- Clement of Rome, First Clement, ca.
These pictures are so beautiful. I love the one of the crucified Jesus with the hands of the priest and the consecrated host-absolutely stunning.
A lot of Catholic theology on purgatory and infant baptism etc does not align with scripture at all, so no wonder the Protestant reformation happened
actually it does.
If the Eucharist is truly the body and blood of Our Lord then the Catholic Church is true. It’s as simple as that.

Continuing in Jesus's teaching He said
John 6:51 ESV
[51] I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
You quoted this verse as well so please be patient with me as I draw out what I see in it.
2 Corinthians 5:19 ESV
[19] that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
Like what he said to peter, And I say also unto thee, Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it
The catholic church will always prevail against sin and temptation
I’m not sure you’ve fully understood the grammar of that scripture. And the context. Although it would seem that way read simply, the use of the word “this” means that it isn’t him, but where God sends him. We can’t treat Peter like an idol. We only ever go back to Jesus, if we look to another “human” we know something isnt right. Doesn’t mean we can’t be grateful for the church fathers and their work. But who cares about them. I worship Jesus, he died for us not Peter. Peter was just an obedient man that did Gods work among many others.
He wasn’t talking about Peter
@Jack-yf1ss @Jack-yf1ss I was just quoting the Bible, I have done a lot of stuff in the catholic faith, I was trying to get at the fact that he was letting peter know that the church will never fail. Mb for not clarifying lol
@fatbysnacksident3217 yea I know that he was talking about how the church won't fail to peter. Sorry bout that, still a teen trying to figure out Bible quotes lol
the catholic church epitomizes sin and temptation....this is Satan's warped church
If you read the early church fathers, they were all Catholic.
Amen. Love her
“How do you receive the eucharist? Well you come under his church.” THIS IS NOT BIBLICAL THIS IS NOT WHAT JESUS SAID PEOPLE. In fact it’s what he came against. Jesus tore the vail, nothing in between you having a relationship with the trinity now. A church is a body of believers not the way to God. Jesus is the way. Talk to him and read the word of God he’s real and he’s right with you.
Jesus gave us 12 apostles. You fail
“that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

However the lord does put people in positions to teach and help others find the way so I pray for all of our teachers, priests and pastors

@sacredheart0760 darling not papacy not Bible at all.

wow, need to read more about the Catholic Church
Many devoted Christians in the Catholic faith. Putting aside every argument of the things not ordained by Christ, what the leader of the church is saying and allowing shows that it is not following Christ.
The CathoIic Church removes the second commandment and repeats the 10th commandment twice because the second commandment forbids idols engraved images
The gospel of Jesus Christ is truth. Catholicism makes a mockery of Christ and His work.

There are a lot of denominations that add things and ignore things from the Bible… which is why there are now so many non denominational churches that focus on what the Bible says rather than traditions and protocols

And which is the right one?
Peace be with you as you seek Jesus

The catholic church cant save you.

Dear Lila,
I have the greatest respect for you.

The truth
Orthodoxy is very divided. The oriental and eastern have different theology ideals. Catholicism is ONE church, but sadly orthodoxy is split with oriental, eastern. There’s 2 orthodox church’s where I live, one Coptic, another one Greek, and the Coptic one doesn’t approve of the Greek Orthodox one. So yea, orthodoxy is beautiful: but very divided.

Tradition and Philosophical Foundations in Catholic Mass
1. **Historical Context of Tradition**:
- The Catholic Mass is steeped in centuries-old traditions that reflect the Church's evolving understanding of faith, spirituality, and the divine. These traditions are not just rituals; they are a means of connecting with the sacred and the community.
2. **Philosophical Underpinnings**:
- Aristotle's philosophy, particularly his ideas about form and substance, has significantly influenced Catholic theology. The Church Fathers, including St. Thomas Aquinas, integrated Aristotelian thought into Christian doctrine, helping to articulate the nature of God, the soul, and the material world. This philosophical framework supports a deeper understanding of the Mass as a transformative event.
3. **Mystical Practices in Historical Context**:
- In the early Church, various mystical practices, including elements of geomancy and numerology, were sometimes intertwined with spiritual beliefs. While the Church has generally distanced itself from practices deemed superstitious, it is crucial to recognize that the ancient context often saw these practices as ways to understand the divine order of the universe.
4. **Necromancy and the Communion of Saints**:
- The Catholic tradition honors the communion of saints, which involves a connection between the living and the deceased. While necromancy in the modern sense is condemned, the reverence for saints and martyrs can be seen as a form of seeking intercession from those who have passed. This connection underscores the belief in eternal life and the significance of community beyond death.
5. **Numerology and Liturgical Symbolism**:
- Numbers have held symbolic significance in the Catholic tradition (e.g., the Trinity, the seven sacraments). Understanding these numerological aspects can enhance the liturgical experience, adding layers of meaning to the rituals and prayers.
6. **The Role of Tradition**:
- Tradition in the Catholic Church is not static; it evolves while maintaining core beliefs. Engaging with historical practices and philosophical ideas allows for a richer, more profound experience of the Mass, inviting worshippers to contemplate the mysteries of faith.
7. **Conclusion**:
- While the Catholic Church today may reject certain practices associated with necromancy and geomancy, the historical context and philosophical foundations that underpin the Mass highlight the importance of tradition.
THIS IS MY BODY. IS, IS, IS. THIS IS MY BLOOD. GET IT? GOT IT?
@@Overlord277the Eucharist was given to us by Christ, unless you eat of the body and blood of Christ you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven
@@Overlord277 the sacrifice is over and done, not for you to repeat every week (sunday) as if it was insufficient. It was a once-all sacrifice and your works don't hold it up. By the way, what is "overlord"? The evil one?
@isaachardaway 1 Corinthians 11:24-34
24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
Cannibalism and drinking blood are prohibited. Jesus was at a Passover seder, breaking matzah and drinking the four cups of wine. He said as often as we do this, we should remember him. As the Passover Lamb that was sacrificed.
Jesus was Jewish and kept the Jewish holidays/feasts. If you want to participate in this as he described, join a seder next Passover! Many Messianic communities online or in person to worship with in truth. God bless.

The pharisees quoted and held to correct doctrine, but Jesus said about them, "Do what they say, not what they do."
If you want to argue the church is biblical, very well. But quoting scripture does not make them biblical.
@@silkesteinbeck8560Roman Catholic Church
I imagine you’ve never been to a Catholic or Orthodox Church. The liturgy is literally biblical scripture every mass. I’m a former Protestant.
I think those who have disagreements on what the Catholic church teaches or if it is a true church, it would be good if they could delve a bit deeper into history and into the writings of early church fathers, who lived during the first few centuries and many of whom were disciples of the apostles themselves and been bishops appointed by them, and see what they have to say about infant baptism, Mary, communion or anything protestants disagree with catholicism and see if they are made up or have been from the begining and that will clear a lot of doubts.
best compelling argument is the bible , the word of God not Catholicism.
100% agree with you
And the Bible says: This IS my Body (=Eucharist) true living presence of Our Lord.
Catholicism is not made up, it's from the Bible
The Church is older than the Bible. The Catholic Church assembled the Bible in 383.
Creepy.
imagine going to an orthodox church for awhile and then deciding the catholic church must be the truth
i encountered people mentioning about some baptists arguing "his name was John the Baptist, not John the Catholic", similarly roman-catholics stole and improperly used the word catholic after the 1054 Schism. pope Honorius was considered a heretic for monothelitism, patriarchs are humans and humans are not infallible
multiple religious communities call themselves catholic, it is a word borrowed from greek katholiki which eastern-orthodox christians also use
Once you finally let go of pride.
Indeed...
I can! I did the same thing! The Orthodox church(es) do not have the Chair of Peter in their Schism.
Straight up. Well said.
