You can also blame the Fed but most of it goes to those investors that have made life difficult for the 61% of people that are living paycheck to paycheck and can’t afford to buy a home because of these investors that gobble up the properties and jacking up the rent and buying price for a home. In my honest opinion, the outcome of the renovation doesn't seem to justify the cost of RM700K. The final result appears to be a fairly standard house without any distinctive interior design elements. Opting for an all-white color scheme might not have been the best idea; this experience serves as a valuable lesson for future real-life cases. It's a reminder to be cautious and thoughtful about upcoming renovations, if any. Additionally, the 'fine arts' are not displayed properly with a design that complements the house.
Let’s not forget it’s an old building, that area was built more than 30 years ago. All the electrical wirings, plumbing, roofing, tiling, has to be changed - that’s already a huge cost. Looking at the layout I’m assuming Frankie hacked and repositioned a lot of walls. Then his auto gate, glass panels, solar panels installation, carpentry, smart home system, anti theft etc. If all are of quality goods like walls with embedded steel, Aluminium cabinets etc, 500k is a no miss. The remaining goes to his furniture, electrical and electronic appliances.. 700k sounds about right.
Coming from the home renovation industry, I'd say it's the sad truth that it's still very common for contractors to take your money and run away with it, or they left with alot of workmanship defects that they won't bother to come back and touch it up for you, even though payment is not fully collected. And very often you will burst your budget for this kind of big renovation because they earn the extra bucks via variation order. Can't deny that RM700k is alot but at least it's properly done and he got what he wanted. Congrats man!
Very nicely done House as a Home...am surprised that I enjoyed this video, thanks Petter for making this Video & much thanks to Frankie for Opening Up to Share us on his House & Not holding back on some of the Cost as well as Brilliant Ideas & New Tech out there which i didn't know existed..usually people don't feel comfortable to Show their House or even share the Cost of Certain things for the Renovation, am glad Frankie being a good sport & share it for us to get an idea how much some item cost & what are some of the tips like fengshui etc he implemented..also interesting Video to get good advice on Home & Renovation Contractors..Thank you Peter & Frankie as well as Mr Money TV crew for this MasterPiece 😇

yes there can be bad ID/design & build companies; but sometimes its also the client who has issues. Best for the initial meetings to talk things through, clarify whats the requirements and needs and make sure its the right match for both client & ID.

As someone who has worked in the architectural industry for over 2 years, 700k is a bit too much for your house's reno bro 😅. Yes its important to find an architect before starting any reno/rebuild projects, but it is more important to get the RIGHT one, theyre many good architectural firms now that have their own website or Instagram page to showcase their portfolio and some will even give you a simpe and ACCURATE quotation before starting any work. Hmmmm. Basically bought a piece a land for 1.07 millions. Tear down 90% and spent 700 k for rebuilding and furnishing the house.Frankie practically bangkurp his saving at the end . Sorry bad move.😢 Unless you are a millionaire and have the extra to splur .Now i doubt he is a good financial advisor by doing so. Anyway HOME SWEET HOME . Priceless
Inflation is painful.700k seems to be higher price for renovation but the reality is cruel. I am wondering how much could it be for the next 5 years in Klang valley Area. I hope I can touch and feel the material of his house. 700k..hmmm..can do a lot of things
A Great and fun video to share Frankie's new house and the expenses involved. Do u mind sharing the carpentry and civil contractors contact tel ? Thanks
Congratulations for the new house, all look nice ,simple and very modern house concept, buy when frankie talk about the dining table mirror feng shui, the house living hall and open kitchen actually is against the traditional feng shui concept... Anyway it just a myth.😂
How much to tear down the house? Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a land & build instead. And u still need to follow what the municipal requirements, what's the point of tearing it down. How many square feet is the house? 700k is enough to build a 3 story 5000 sq feet house.
Don't compare bro, Malaysians earn so much less when compared to SG. Even experienced (10+ years) professionals rarely make the equivalent of 3-4k SGD here.
Anti theft features are always worth the money. Very presumptuous of you to say it's overkill in BU. Insurance always seems unnecessary until you need it.
Frankie very sincere with the renovation cost...most owners will hide the real cost

So true man. 700k i can buy a one whole new condo in PJ area already
@@kev2345 not one, but 2, and has surplus for renovation.
Can share where did u source the anti theft door?
i really like this type of videos. It is just different and interesting!
Stove and water tap opposite each other, ok kah? Feng Shui
wow really good deal for around 1mil bdr utama
No lah.. the mirror is not for Fung Shui. It's to make the room look bigger.
What’s the rational for incorporate anti-theft so extensively? Lots of break-ins around the area?
Seems like cleaning would be easy with the spacing of the furniture.
Just only how long to clean.
700k, hebat betul... i cannot wei.
A Great and fun video to share Frankie's new house and the expenses involved. Do u mind sharing the carpentry and civil contractors contact tel ? Thanks
Best video ever❤
Share the contractor’s contact.. looks very well workmanship
waiting for invite for Frankie's open house 🤗
Is this a Semi-D or terrace house?
May I know where did you get the top down bottom up blinds from? Thanks
i also bought BU during MCO. Really good deal
When I see the island table, I feel like i want to chase Frankie around the island table 😂😂
Hi Frankie, we r planing to renovate our house, possible to seek your consult/opinion? We live in same area.
that's a marvellous-looking house. I really like the renovation work
Congratulations for the new house, all look nice ,simple and very modern house concept, buy when frankie talk about the dining table mirror feng shui, the house living hall and open kitchen actually is against the traditional feng shui concept... Anyway it just a myth.😂
Mr Money Tv… could you share the contact for the blinds please?
Hi..don't mind sharing Ah Wah contractor details..looking for a renovation contractor
Does anyone know where he got those blinds from?
How much to tear down the house? Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a land & build instead. And u still need to follow what the municipal requirements, what's the point of tearing it down.
How many square feet is the house? 700k is enough to build a 3 story 5000 sq feet house.
can share where to buy that sofa for RM3k?
Great to see the day to day aspect of you awesome people.
Next… we like to see your man cave 😂!!!
Haiyo, a lot of contractors cabut lorh, its a real problem
Equivalent to S$500K. Cheaper than the most ulu HDB flat 😅
Don't compare bro, Malaysians earn so much less when compared to SG. Even experienced (10+ years) professionals rarely make the equivalent of 3-4k SGD here.
pity Singaporeans - same price for ulu small flat 🙂
This in singapore will be RM13 -14 mil
I noticed Frankie's house got inverter means got solar on the roof..hence it is part of the rm700k renovation cost?
Welcome to th BU community. It's a pretty safe neighbourhood so the anti theft investment probably is a bit of an overkill.
Never know
Anti theft features are always worth the money. Very presumptuous of you to say it's overkill in BU. Insurance always seems unnecessary until you need it.
Ppl waste money on car accessories just to look cool when the money could be invested in house security.
Can u explain why 700k? Not much carpentry work so 70k makes sense. But where did he spend the remaining 630k????
