Cameron Purdie exactly though. They didn't say "PS4 Exclusive" and if you know anything about E3 they LOVE to throw that in your face every chance the get cause exclusives sell consoles. The fact that they didn't would lead me to believe it's most likely going to be multiplatform
OriginalQuality Upset me? Did I seem upset? I was just commenting in case you didn't know what you were talking about at all. Why are people on UA-cam such cynical assholes? Pretense everywhere. (I'm sorry. I realize you probably don't know what that means) I'm also sorry I upset you, as well. It's very clear from your context that you are on a minor level of butthurt. Please proceed to get over it, you baby.
This is easily my most anticipated game currently. I have no idea how the development is going currently, but I can't wait to hear more about it. This is everything I've ever wanted in a video game.
I had heard about the flood, but they never made it clear if all the work they had done on the game was destroyed by it. "The flood of water destroyed most everything in the office including computers, monitors, furniture, a door, a wall and even personal items like a console collection that included a NEO GEO pocket." The impression I got was that their equipment was destroyed. There's no mention of the game (still a big set back to have to replace all the computers you need to get work done though). I find it hard to believe that someone in the company didn't have back-ups at home in case something terrible were to happen (fires, break ins, so many things can go wrong, back ups away from the work area in protected areas would be common practice I would assume). Maybe they lost some of the progress they had on the game, but the the entire game gone and having to restart from square one, I feel that hasn't happened. I did a little research on the incident, and I know they've commented that the game wouldn't be delayed because of the flood though. Mind you things always change.
Well its good to hear it isn't as bad as I've heard, (thank goodness on the non-delay). I guess at this point I'm just itching to see some new footage or something. And not only that figure out what exactly this game is. Like it being a space sim is a given, but is it massively multiplayer? Singleplayer that can become server hosted multiplayer (a la minecraft or day z or terraria), Just plain singleplayer? or what?
***** those are the "most anticipated" games according to marketing jargon and common opinion. this is more a personal anticipation thing. While i dig what watchdogs is doing mechanically, and Destiny looks like borderlands but mmo style with the halo aesthetic, (which doesn't entice me since its consoles and said consoles have Subscription internet services). This is made by a team that you can count on your fingers, without the same kind of triple A budget as Destiny or Watchdogs (which between them have enough people on their dev teams to qualify as a small nation), which strikes me as a more impressive feat.
***** Well I know my comment was that this is one of my own most anticipated games. I don't particularly care much for Watch Dogs or Destiny. I know a lot of people are hyped for them, but they don't particularly excite me. They feel all too similar to things I've played before. The idea of exploring a never ending universe, trail blazing and discovering new worlds, building my own space ship to travel, and engaging in who knows what kind of adventures is far more tantalizing if they pull this off. I can see people settling on planets they discover, people warring over worlds they discover for resources. Watching as planets go from being resource rich to being barren wasteland. Epic space battles between player forces... or people living almost undetected in this virtual universe just doing their own thing. That's something I personally think is really exciting for a video game.
Looks pretty sweet I have to say. Always a fan of space combat and it seems like you can move from planet to space seamlessly just like we wanted from Battlefront 3!
I just want to apologise to you for a moment. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't stop EA from being the ones to publish battlefront 3. I'm sorry for letting it become battlefield 3.7 (bf4 already took 3.5) I'm sorry that we will both have to experience it....
***** Battlefield is AWESOME - so Star Wars + Battlefield = almost certain win. Apart from the EA publishing it part. They'll probably release it too early and it'll take years to iron out the bugs.
I know right, look at Spore's universe, then look at the 1-man project Space Engine (a completely infinite entire universe with Crysis graphics). And now this game. It's astonishing how multi-MILLION dollar dev studios can't even come close to what a tiny indie dev team can do. It only shows that programming TALENT is what makes astonishing things happen, NOT money. Money has nothing what so ever to do with it, this is why the indie scene has become so huge. Because individual TALENT makes amazing games and tech, multi-million dollar studios with money pouring out of their ears just make garbage because they hire untalented lazy noobs (X Rebirth, Rome 2, Aliens Colonial Marines, anyone?) Talent > Money It's quite a happy discovery, really. It brings the art of games closer to that of movies, music and literature, which as we know also depend on individual talent rather than a big brand pouring money into talent-less scrubs. (Granted, the untalented money-supported singers, hollywood movies etc still make money, but we hardly count them as great works to be remembered through the ages. They are forgotten as quickly as they arrived.)
Baleur I think that's a bit misleading. A lot of these AAA titles that are selling poorly are a lot of the time, a result of poor management, too strict of deadlines and often a result of publisher's having their way with the game. There are a lot of talented devs who want to make amazing games but are frequently handicapped by these publisher demands. It's why we are seeing more and more developers leave big studios to form their own smaller indie studios and launching kickstarters for their games. The fact that indies can now self publish to steam, PS4 and I assume Xbone, assuming that they can gather the resources needed to make the game, they are leaving big publishers and AAA companies that would otherwise constrain their true potential.
I post this 4 days before BEYOND comes out. Rewatching this made me remember I am still waiting for mega fauna and mega flora. Please, give me the giant desert snakes...🙏 THAT does not remove my RESPECT for your job. I have been on the game "since asap" and I enjoy it very much. Thanks for all the effort. I hope it pays. You deserve it.
btw there is a mod for mega flora and fauna XD. I think it's called the Ray's mod or something. Would be dope to have giant trees and animals in the game though. a nightmare for vr people though haha.
@@sergicrisan5564 Haha no worries. Beyond is like a new foundation update and foundation for more radical things! The first one being the Nexus which is in Beyond XD. Anyway hope you enjoy the update if you have the game, it releases in the next few hours.
@@sergicrisan5564 Beyond is like another foundation update as they have some radical ideas for the future updates after what we're getting today :). The Nexus. Don't worry, I think we have much more coming after Beyond :D.
It's a crying shame it took nearly 5 years to get a sandworm in the game, lol. either way, I've been part of the journey for 5 years. Looking forward to FRONTIERS. (Space Station ownership) maybe???
I remember when I first played Halo, what drew me in was a sense of curiosity, a desire to explore Installation 04. And now someone's taken that whole idea of exploring a unique, sci-fi world, and put it into game form.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to play _No Man's Sky_.
It's almost as if a month before release every copy of the game was erased and they had like 4 weeks to redo it all, and what we got was that empty piece of boredom we have now.
+Tremor244 that has actually happened before, when sims 2 was made the hard drives caught on fire, and they had to redo the game from scratch. Because of this, many of the features in the game had to become dlc, so that they could release the game on time. This is probably why dlc has become such a big thing in AAA games
I think they thought they had enough time to complete every feature, but because they had to port the game for both pc and ps4 (which they didn't think they would have to do from the beginning), it took up too much time do they had to scrap a whole bunch of things.
HO2 isn't "hydrogen dioxide". It is "hydroperoxyl". www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/hydroperoxyl There is nothing like "hydrogen dioxide", though HO2 actually exists.
I will be there on the first second of launch, travel to an undiscovered planet and call it Matheusland. (shut up, you all know you want a planet with your name)
Can I go back to when this video was uploaded? TotalBiscuit didn't have cancer, Robin Williams was still making people laugh, Monty Oum was still being awesome... I don't care if I have to wait for this game again.
If this game ends up the way this trailer makes it seem, this may legit be the most beautiful piece of art any human has ever create. These guys are going to literally create an entire living, and breathing universe. I'm going to follow this game's progress like 14 year old girls follow Justin Bieber!
Hate to burst your bubble but although it looks completely awesome, I woulnd't go so far as to say that it is 'literally an entire living, and breathing universe'. The elements of the game are generated procedurally based on artificial attributes. oxygen is not oxygen - it's a set of parameters.
I hope the developers fully recover from the flooding that destroyed their studio & work. It crushes my soul to think that this could be all that we ever see, of what would have surely been a truly magical creation. If it had delivered on its promises, it would have been like the birthing of a new universe in game terms.
Luckily, a game like this will HAVE to exist someday, and even if it isn't that developer, someone else will go this far and it will be spectacular. It's just one of those ideas that is natural to the reality we've created in gaming. It WILL happen no matter what.
If I could, I'd pay more than 100k for their recovery.. This game has me too fucking hyped for it to be dropped. And their is a rumor that someone from Microsoft might lend a helping hand in financial issues, need I say where this might go? It better not fucking be turned into a Xbox exclusive, that'll just make me hate Microsoft more than I already do.
This game is flat now. Foundation update was a peak. Best graphics, best gameplay, best planet generation, and now... it feels like Unreal Engine 4 shitty base building game.
You can easily recreate this trailer every structure or feature here has been added. but there are so many things added tht were never shown in these like bases vehicles subs new hubs new stories are just a few these trailers just show exploration game is light years beyond this now
I've expressed my excitement about this game to my friends, but they don't seem to realize how amazing it has the potential to be. I am so excited, and if they pull this off right, it'll be one hell-of-a game.
Oh man I hope you do, this game looked awesome. A game where you can just chill and explore or cruise into space and fight battles with a starship is a welcome change to all the fast-paced action oriented games that have recently been released/are going to be released.
The marine/oceanic artwork needs a serious overhaul. I've seen more aesthetically pleasing underwater visuals from Nintendo 64 games. Besides that minor gripe, this is pretty much one of the only games Im genuinely excited for. Can't wait to get my hands on it :)
There is no official release date, and there probably won't be one for quite a while considering we aren't even sure if they've resumed development since all their equipment was lost in a recent flooding of their offices. Also you have to consider it's just 4 guys working on this, not some 300 million dollar team of 80+ programers like most triple A studios. So it's going to be a while. If I had to guess, I would say late 2015 - early 2016.
They werent proceduraly created however. Things created this way may look worse than static and baked game elements. It's harder on the calculation so you have to cut on quality to get performance. But the difference is that you can interact with these things more easily.
I prepaid all those years back. I had a blast playing it on Day 1. I appreciate the multiplayer option nowadays, but always viewed NMS as a single player game. The new content makes it look modern, but even the early graphics were really pleasing. This is a good game in my eyes.
No way. The devs are already talking about being afraid of not meeting the deadline, and the deadline was "2015". I'd rather wait till 2017 to see this game perfectly released as a 9/10 awesome game than a 4/10 half-baked game with load times of Sonic 06 on a old PC with AOL, and glitches in where the planets barely look visible due to slow generating and I fly into the core of the planet and die because everything loaded around me and crushed me to oblivion. Pleeeaasseee don't rush this, and Sony, you keep your GD mouth shut and wait for this cake to be properly baked. >:(
Kurogaea Monari I honestly think that it will perfect, both critically and commercially. You can tell they are putting everything into the game due to the long periods without news and the team being so honest. They don't want a Destiny repeat. It's their dream to make this and I wouldn't think they would throw it all away.
Kurogaea Monari There is no generating. There are no load times. Procedural generation doesn't rely on data stored, it creates its own instantly using an algorithm.
Kurogaea Monari They aren't really rushing it with a 2015 release date. Once the engine for a procedurally generated game is complete, the game is practically done. They've shown off the engine, and they've already showed that the game is finished. Now, if the game WASN'T procedurally generated then a release date anywhere near 2017 would be rushing it.
Anyone heard about the death threats because the game was delayed? Honestly, some of us gamers really need to grow up. Delays only means they want to perfect the game they made for us so we can get the full experience. They could've just gave it to us in shitty condition and still make money off of it, but they didn't. Ugh...
It's crazy to think that this game will never be fully explored.Even if it became the most popular game in the world, we wouldn't even be able to scratch the surface.
Please dont hurry in publishing this game im expecting so much from this and i will gladly wait for a year or 2. This idea of exploring worlds and gathering resources so u can continue to thrive, search and explore throughout the galaxy without boundaries and direction is just so amazing!
Jason Nokes There was a flood and they lost nearly 25% of their data in it, Microsoft helped them out but the game is gonna be released probably in 2015 or 2016
Oldsiren Nope they said The flood that consumed Hello Games' office on Christmas Eve 2013 hasn't stopped work at the Joe Danger developer and *won't* delay No Man's Sky, founder Sean Murray revealed today on the developer's official blog. As much of a setback as the flood was, Murray said that he doesn't anticipate that it will delay the procedurally generated No Man's Sky, which was revealed at the VGX awards last year. "We won't let that happen!" he wrote. Oldsiren get your facts straight before posting....
Jason Nokes He said it won't delay the game, but they've also never specified a release date, so how do we know it wasn't planned for a release in 2015 or 2016 anyway?
CipherOfHate No due date, although the team has been unwittingly steered towards a 2014 release, mainly because the game’s been included in so many ‘most anticipated games of 2014’ lists.
***** this game feels a little too indie to NOT hit PC though. Certainly if they're tossing out DayZ, Spore and minecraft references, they want to build that big online community. PC has the largest install base by an order of magnitude over the new consoles (and will continue to be so by the time this game is finished) they'd have to get money hatted by sony or microsoft to NOT hit PC. That's just my educated guess however...
***** unless a console makes a deal for exclusivity, an indie dev is likely to release first onto whatever platform has the biggest market and lowest cost to develop for and then to release to other platforms afterwards. PC is a bigger market, easier and cheaper to develop for. i'd imagine this would hit PC before it hit consoles if there isn't a simultaneous release
***** -_- do you think consoles could render and endless world, No. By next gen they mean the next generation of gaming not consoles. Im expecting this to be PC exclusive.
This was said in RPS preview: "Murray didn't want to give too much away but was clearly very excited to finally announce No Man's Sky and talk about it. "The game, right now, runs on off-the-shelf high-end PC and it runs on a next-gen console." Murray wouldn't disclose anything else about platforms but did say development of No Man's Sky is "further along than what the trailer would lead you to believe." So probably PC and next gen consoles. This game is nothing like Star Citizen, very different philosophies. SC is much more narrative and immersion driven. NMS is a pure exploration game.

And From Starbound, we got this.
I am completely ok with this. :D
a. This is in no way similar to Minecraft, Terraria, or Starbound
b. This was in development before Starbound was announced
The Magical Boy a. I am sorry I upset you
b. I am sorry I upset you.
OriginalQuality Upset me? Did I seem upset? I was just commenting in case you didn't know what you were talking about at all.
Why are people on UA-cam such cynical assholes? Pretense everywhere. (I'm sorry. I realize you probably don't know what that means)
I'm also sorry I upset you, as well. It's very clear from your context that you are on a minor level of butthurt. Please proceed to get over it, you baby.
The Magical Boy
The Magical Boy I find it strange that you say that when the Developers themselves cite Minecraft as an inspiration.
Well crikey.
I do declare!
Mmm, quite.
Indeed, I say.
Very well.
bloody good show.
Truly the start of something remarkable.
This is easily my most anticipated game currently. I have no idea how the development is going currently, but I can't wait to hear more about it. This is everything I've ever wanted in a video game.
Last i heard they are back at square one after a flood drowned their computers.
I had heard about the flood, but they never made it clear if all the work they had done on the game was destroyed by it.
"The flood of water destroyed most everything in the office including computers, monitors, furniture, a door, a wall and even personal items like a console collection that included a NEO GEO pocket."
The impression I got was that their equipment was destroyed.
*****
Well I know my comment was that this is one of my own most anticipated games.
Always a fan of space combat and it seems like you can move from planet to space seamlessly just like we wanted from Battlefront 3!
thts looks awesome
***** Destiny looks like it will be worth the wait! I can't wait to explore Mars and the Moon with friends. Julianne Crider Yeo, it sure does!
I just want to apologise to you for a moment.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry I didn't stop EA from being the ones to publish battlefront 3.
I'm sorry for letting it become battlefield 3.7 (bf4 already took 3.5)
I'm sorry that we will both have to experience it....
If you like the space age fighting stuff you should definitely try out Planetside2 on Steam. it is free.
***** Battlefield is AWESOME - so Star Wars + Battlefield = almost certain win. Apart from the EA publishing it part. They'll probably release it too early and it'll take years to iron out the bugs.
Bout fuckin' time we start getting new-tech games.
Thanks M$ and Sony for holding back the games industry for so long, nice to finally progress.
Because individual TALENT makes amazing games and tech, multi-million dollar studios with money pouring out of their ears just make garbage because they hire untalented lazy noobs (X Rebirth, Rome 2, Aliens Colonial Marines, anyone?)
Talent > Money
It's quite a happy discovery, really.
It’s so heartwarming seeing how the game now is still the game here
I post this 4 days before BEYOND comes out. Rewatching this made me remember I am still waiting for mega fauna and mega flora. Please, give me the giant desert snakes...🙏
THAT does not remove my RESPECT for your job.
@@PantherHytale Awesome. I saw sth like that some time ago, but I play on PS4, so no mods for me. Health and peace.
@@sergicrisan5564 Haha no worries. Beyond is like a new foundation update and foundation for more radical things! The first one being the Nexus which is in Beyond XD. Anyway hope you enjoy the update if you have the game, it releases in the next few hours.
@@PantherHytale I am really looking forward for it. I also hope they keep on working on it.
@@sergicrisan5564 Beyond is like another foundation update as they have some radical ideas for the future updates after what we're getting today :). The Nexus. Don't worry, I think we have much more coming after Beyond :D.
Oh my god.... I'm so sorry for your guy's loss.
It's gettin' awfully crowded in my sky...
I notice some things in this trailer that are still missing now - 6 years later.
Just add those better quality wrecks and some more varied planets
what specifically ? you can recreate every shot in this trailer.. every structure and feature is there
It's a crying shame it took nearly 5 years to get a sandworm in the game, lol. either way, I've been part of the journey for 5 years. Looking forward to FRONTIERS. (Space Station ownership) maybe???
Yeeeeeessss
I remember when I first played Halo, what drew me in was a sense of curiosity, a desire to explore Installation 04. And now someone's taken that whole idea of exploring a unique, sci-fi world, and put it into game form.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to play _No Man's Sky_.
It has been a journey Sean, but now it will be a journey with a new generation
It's almost as if a month before release every copy of the game was erased and they had like 4 weeks to redo it all, and what we got was that empty piece of boredom we have now.
Dude, i was thinking about the same thing, what if when they got flooded they really lost all the game, and they started from scratch? lel
*so they had to scrap a whole bunch of things
Ludde_12345 What kind of development company doesn't back their shit up though?
I remember it like it was yesterday...
I would SO throw my money at any kickstarter for this game in case they need money after the flood they had.
Modren Dimetrodon Yeah well future me thinks alike.
0:18 Liquid panel on left:
"99.2% Hydrogen dioxide"
HO2?
Its correct. Because the di in dioxide stand for two so there are two oxide Atoms and one hydrogen atom so that ads up to H2O
Thom Stoppelenburg Wrong man. H2O has two hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. Hydrogen dioxide would be HO2, and H2O would be _dihydrogen monoxide_.
HO2 isn't "hydrogen dioxide". It is "hydroperoxyl". www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/hydroperoxyl
There is nothing like "hydrogen dioxide", though HO2 actually exists.
+Dashy wow, you guys did your research, I applaud you
Guys, this is middle school skill...
The the biggest hype, through the biggest failure and redemption, to the biggest/best game of all time. Thank You for this once in a lifetime game.
I will be there on the first second of launch, travel to an undiscovered planet and call it Matheusland. (shut up, you all know you want a planet with your name)
I would call it "Bob"
Beautiful.
I knew you´d come here. I just knew.
Garrus Vakarian don't you have anything to calibrate? :D
Can I go back to when this video was uploaded? TotalBiscuit didn't have cancer, Robin Williams was still making people laugh, Monty Oum was still being awesome...
I don't care if I have to wait for this game again.
Greatest game ever made, with greatest upgrades in history of gaming, THANKS!
Games like this and Rime make me excited for the future of gaming.
BaltoMovie ^hipster
Aw man, everyone just internetted all over my comment. :(
I hope the developers fully recover from the flooding that destroyed their studio & work. It crushes my soul to think that this could be all that we ever see, of what would have surely been a truly magical creation. If it had delivered on its promises, it would have been like the birthing of a new universe in game terms.
On the bright side at least Star Citizen is doing okay.
www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-01-16-hello-games-says-its-office-flooding-wont-delay-no-mans-sky sounds likes its goign to be fine
MasteroChieftan Star Citizen looks promising.
shut up and take my money!
Yuriy Tsemashko ok eight thoughts
Mine yes and I don't regret it
Six years ago omg
@@FredrickFlower they did, unfortunately.
This Man Just resume the whole redenption Arc of the game
I will buy this game so fucking hard
Is the game gone now? I heard It was destroyd by water....damn you mother nature!!
Equipment got owned. Not the game. Im guessing they have backups dude ^^
Don't hate me for this but... Every flood is procedural.
stok5445 I shouldn't be laughing right now. xD
Not gone but expect this to take a while longer to come out,
I'm from the future. The game is good now.
Ikr
This game is flat now. Foundation update was a peak. Best graphics, best gameplay, best planet generation, and now... it feels like Unreal Engine 4 shitty base building game.
Each update brings the game closer to the original vision featured in these old trailers. It's a nice feeling to have.
GOD DAMMIT NATURE
1:33, ITS AN ALASKAN BULL WORM!
IT'S IN THE GAME!
@@donkeykongisbetterthanmari7495 yaaaaayyyy
Guys is there ANY possibility to be alpha or beta tester for this? I'm waiting for a game like this since i began online gaming.
This looks amazing. I'd love to make some videos with it! LOTS of videos!
When I saw all the space scenes I nearly crapped my pants.
Oh man I hope you do, this game looked awesome. A game where you can just chill and explore or cruise into space and fight battles with a starship is a welcome change to all the fast-paced action oriented games that have recently been released/are going to be released.
Holy shit, Dan. You were right. This WILL kill Minecraft.
HarryBillyBobGeorge
will there be tools to make mods?
Rust Magma It'll kill Minecraft on consoles then?
The marine/oceanic artwork needs a serious overhaul. I've seen more aesthetically pleasing underwater visuals from Nintendo 64 games.
Besides that minor gripe, this is pretty much one of the only games Im genuinely excited for. Can't wait to get my hands on it :)
i agree! u know when its coming out ?
7CellarDoors Actually, there's been no delay.
Julien Fournier That's all well and good, but if it looks cheesy, its still cheesy.
4 years later they finally made no man's sky one of the best games out there. That's dedication right there.
My heart is broken without this graphic... please bring it back! 💔
I don't think I've ever been this hyped for a game in such a short amount of time.
So nice that they reused the music and intro/outro shots in the next generation update trailer. They have come a loooong way!
I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH !!!
I prepaid all those years back. I had a blast playing it on Day 1. I appreciate the multiplayer option nowadays, but always viewed NMS as a single player game. The new content makes it look modern, but even the early graphics were really pleasing. This is a good game in my eyes.
I still really want that Desert biome with the dunes. Can we please have that in the next update? Or the one after Beyond.
Sooo... It's time to buy new computer :D
Cole Counts It was an example lol, I know about that stuff.
Ugh...
No Man's Sky Frontiers
It's like what the Space stage of Spore should have been
Indeed. I never finished that game because the space stage got so boring and repetitive xD
DuckTape747 That's exactly what happened to me. Had such potential though would have paid for a Spore 2 if they took it further
So excited for this game!
18,446,744,073,709,551,616 different planets to explore! I like to watch this trailer every now and again because it keeps me hype for NMS.
Me too
me too man... this game makes me so hyped... the thing is my old laptop wont be able to run it... it makes me so sad... it really does :(
Same here hahaha
It's crazy to think that this game will never be fully explored.Even if it became the most popular game in the world, we wouldn't even be able to scratch the surface.

Please dont hurry in publishing this game im expecting so much from this and i will gladly wait for a year or 2. This idea of exploring worlds and gathering resources so u can continue to thrive, search and explore throughout the galaxy without boundaries and direction is just so amazing!
They should have a beta
i know it literally makes me almost cry... its just so good... this developer " Hello games" has my eternal respect
there is only one question to be asked here...."when?"
Sometime this year ;) i hope ;)
Jason Nokes
He said it won't delay the game, but they've also never specified a release date, so how do we know it wasn't planned for a release in 2015 or 2016 anyway?
CipherOfHate No due date, although the team has been unwittingly steered towards a 2014 release, mainly because the game’s been included in so many ‘most anticipated games of 2014’ lists.
I cant believe this is made only by 4 dudes... Amazing
I'm not a PC gamer, but i will become one for this, if i must
***** this game feels a little too indie to NOT hit PC though.
This was said in RPS preview:
"Murray didn't want to give too much away but was clearly very excited to finally announce No Man's Sky and talk about it. "The game, right now, runs on off-the-shelf high-end PC and it runs on a next-gen console." Murray wouldn't disclose anything else about platforms but did say development of No Man's Sky is "further along than what the trailer would lead you to believe."
So probably PC and next gen consoles.
This game is nothing like Star Citizen, very different philosophies. SC is much more narrative and immersion driven. NMS is a pure exploration game.
