Its sad to TN losing ground to other states especially with respect to ease of doing business. For a long time now, TN government had poor governance and plagued by scandals. It was oblivious to the progress made by other neighboring states. The first step in turning around the situation is to recognize TN's weaknesses and see how this can be fixed. TN needs more ministers like PTR to deliver the goods. As regards KTR able to sign up deals with US companies, he definitely has an ally in the telugu diaspora in US and other countries in the west. They are so well networked and occupy senior positions in major US corporations and help KTR meet the right people and complete the deals. In my opinion there is a feeling TN is not welcoming and so many investors seek Karnataka which is considered to be more open minded.

It is time for the people to decide whether they want cine persanolities to rule them or intellectuals of PTR'skind should rule them.. ... Visualise who should be in the helm of affairs related to the development of the state by eradicating poverty, providing of uninterrupted power, safe drinking water, best health facilities, world class educational institutions so on and so forth.... Though there is a paucity of personalities of this kind in the state of TN, a few gentlemen of this kind appear today can be a thin ray of light at the end of the tunnel, in the national level many learned leaders are visible but they lack in vision are stuck with their Ill notioned political ideologies which will never fructify,they are learned but not intellectuals ....on the other hand state like TN has been putting great strides inspite of these odds in improving the quality of the life of poor though not to the expectations, the real problem of the state is placing Ill equipped, unqualified persons in the top of administration due to nepotism, caste and for dancing to the whims and fancies of the leaders who themselves are very ignorant..... This pertains to both the parties..... The last 50 years of administration of the state has been in the hands of a single ideology irrespective of the parties...when their great leader founded a party ,he really had a vision.. He really nurtured and also nourished many youth to get elevated to be intellectuals and was successful too, unfortunately after capturing power he was cruelly snatched away by the destiny in a couple of years..... When the succession took place popularity through cinema dominated the scene the intellectuality started waning and this goes till today, , at least from this point, people should start thinking for an intelligent alternative leader to govern the state.. Our state is really a welfare state and is abreast of other states in many a fronts, if we elevate leaders of PTR's kind with the same core ideology, definitely our state will develop to it's full potentiality, if he is ignored, learned lots but not intellectuals from the other ideology will capture our state and will take us to the state of Uttar Pradesh like state.
