You know, as a boy growing up in the south. I watched a lot of the raunchy comedies and classics. Then I got into Anime. You’re my favorite UA-cam reactors. Most channels, I like a video here or there. I don’t think you two have ever posted a video reaction I didn’t like.

Random fact: The actor who played Switowski (Bob Sapp) was one of the most famous people in Japan for half a decade. He had a fight against a sumo wrestler and 54 million people watched, still the most ever for a fight on television.
Went to High School with him in CO. Really nice guy.

@@dariusthegr8one81He only took it seriously for like 9 months. He beat Ernesto Hoost twice in kickboxing and was destroying prime Nogueira before getting armbarred. The Cro Cop fight was the end of him trying. After that he treated it as a payday and stopped working with Josh Barnett. He figured out that fighting more often and taking an easy L is more paydays than training hard for a big fight against someone really good and getting really hurt in the process.
I don't know if it was pointed out, but Burt Reynolds is the original Paul Crewe from the 1974 "The Longest Yard".

Love when former WWE Superstars be a part of a comedy and a action film.
Don’t forget, Austin and Goldberg were football players before they were wrestlers. Plus, all of the former football players that were in this movie like Michael Irvin, Brian Bosworth, Burt Reynolds, Bob Sapp, Bill Romanowski, and Terry Crews.
I love how Kevin Nash always makes his way into a lot of great movies like John Wick and The Punisher as well.

I love seeing all the WWF/WWE wrestlers in this movie, when I first saw it as it kid it was one of my favorites because of Sandler AND wrestlers
The Longest Yard, Anger Management, and 50 First Dates is this early 2000s tangential trilogy of Adam Sandler/Peter Segal collabs that are, in my opinion, the best of Sandler's career. It's just the right balance of funny and serious, and I am sad they haven't really worked together since.
Anger Management is my favorite Jack N. movie. Dude is absolutely hilarious alongside Adam in that

Sandler's first real dramatic role was kind of sweet it was Spanglish. It's excellent. Punch-Drunk Love is heart-wrenching. And uncut gems is like the third in a trilogy

Excellent movie! Burt Reynolds was a class act. What a good man, and a fantastic actor! From “Gator” and “White Lightning” to a comedy like “The Cannonball Run”, I’ve been a fan of ANY movie he’s been in. “Smokey and the Bandit” is another hugely famous role of his. The entire cast of this movie though is superb, and I hope you both check out more Burt Reynolds movies!
I really feel they should watch those movies next, just to educate themselves
"Gems" and "Punch Drunk" are both amazing movies, both serious Sandler roles. He surpasses any expectations you might have.

Yes ‘punch drunk love’ is great. ‘Reign over me’ is brilliant and for me is a stand out drama role for sandler. ‘Hustle’ was fantastic which is a bit more on the serious side I would say.

I've heard that people love working with Sandler on movies. The mood on set is so much more relaxed and stress free that people have a great time. Plus he's just a good guy in general, it's likely not hard to get people to be in them.
For real. Even the smaller characters like Joey Diaz are now comedy veterans

I grew up on Adam Sandler movies, I think its the same for a lot of us. Another serious Adam Sandler movie that I would recommend is Reign Over Me. Absolutely gut wrenching movie.

I'm glad you finally got to see this movie, this is by far my favourite Adam Sandler movie of all time, and I'm not even a football fan. I wish you kept some cut out parts still.
Click has always been one of my top Adam Sandler movies. Good balance of comedy and feels.
Hustle is a great Sandler movie. You can tell Sandler loves basketball and it shows in that movie. Uncut Gems is great. Just a full movie runtime of non-stop anxiety.
You need to watch Club Dread. It's a Broken Lizard film. Basically, Scream meets Super Troopers.

Adam Sandlier is good in serious roles. Punch-Drunk Love, Funny People, Men, Women & Children, Reign Over Me, Hustle, The Meyerowitz Stories, The Cobbler, Spanglish are all serious movies he's done. You ever seen Gridiron Gang? It came out the following year & deals with juvenile detention football. I like Longest Yard more, but Gridiron Gang is also pretty good too. Since you guys are on a comedy kick right now, you may want to show Kacey Cannonball Run with Burt Reynolds. This is not a comedy, but have you ever seen the movie, The Program, with James Caan and Halle Berry? That's gotta be 1 of my all-time favorite football movies. LOL, hey, maybe this can start a football movie marathon. You can show Kacey more football or football-themed movies to help get her more educated like The Replacements, Rudy, Necessary Roughness, Friday Night Lights, Any Given Sunday, The Last Boy Scout, The Game Plan, I could keep going on and on, LOL!

50 first dates, blended, dont mess with the zohan are great ones and an excellent jim carrey movie that you would never expect is the bad batch. That one is crazy and will just boggle your mind for many different reasons.
The actor who plays the warden in this movie, played Unger in the original movie. And of course Burt was the lead in the orignal
Fun fact: The prisoner that was the guard snitch is the same guy from “warriors” the guy with the bottles that goes “come out to play”

Fun fact: when Burt mentions in the movie recruiting to Florida state, that is reference where he actually played college ball. He was a FSU RB back in the day before his Hollywood career. I even got to witness him plant the spear in 2014 before he passed in 2018. Absolute legend.

Sandler's "Spanglish" is one of the best relationship movies ever. Super sweet. And bitter sweet.
One of the best Sandler serious roles is Hustle. Very very good.

In the original movie Burt Reynolds played Crewe. And the actor who played the warden, Ed Lauter, in the remake was also in the original movie. He played Captain Knauer(the guard who the warden told to shoot Crewe at the end of the movie).
Burt Reynolds was also a Football player. Played Running Back for the Florida State Seminoles in College

Burt Reynolds was a huge movie star in the 70's. Great movies like Smoke and the Bandit and Gator. A little trivia, Burt played college football.
This is one of the greatest remakes out there. The cast was excellent, the writing was great, the funny parts were actually funny. The quotes from this movie are long lasting. For whatever reason lmao, Cloris Leachmans singing or whatever she does when seducing Crewe has stuck with me for whatever reason lmfao 😂
Just as an aside to all the other randomly famous people in this movie, youve also got Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and "The Great Khali" Dalip Singh Rana, all of which were/are big names in wrestling.

The original The Longest Yard is in my top 10 movies of all time. This is a decent remake but nothing touches the original.

I feel like Will Ferrell is also an actor that is seen strictly as “comedic” but absolutely has the range to be in a serious role. There’s definitely a handful of actors who are mostly comedic actors who don’t get enough credit for their abilities to act outside of their ‘norm’ 💛
A lot of these guys playing both the guards and prisoners are former wrestlers and/or former football players, like Terry Crews, Bob Sapp(Switowski), Bill Goldberg, and the list goes on quite a bit.
Brian Bosworth is a guard. He played for the Seahawks for a few years until injuries forced him to retire.
