  • Repair of lights in a bathroom cabinet STORJORM with a mirror and built-in lighting from IKEA.
The lighting in the bathroom cabinet has stopped working.
I went to IKEA to buy a power supply and replace it, but unfortunately they only had a different type that did not fit the STORJORM cabinet ... The saleswoman decided that I had to buy a new cabinet.
I went to Leroy Merlin, bought a LED power supply and decided to fix the lighting in the cabinet myself.

Chłopie, zdjąłeś mi z głowy ciężką zagwozdkę; kombinowałem, jakie tu oświetlenie do łazienki dokupić, żeby czujniki ruchu dopięte do centralki zigbee zaświeciły na nocne siku jakieś 'nierozbudzające', delikatne światło w łazience.

I o to chodzi.
      Powodzenia i pozdrawiam

Hi, nice fix, I have the same problem. The original is a constant current 600ma supply, your replacement looks like a constant voltage supply. Is that correct? Any problems?

Yeah... no problems so far. It's still working 👍

I am considering the IKEA Tradfri wireless one, but also constant voltage, but 24 volts. You think it would work?

Hi, I bought this at a local DIY store... Take a photo and show the salesperson at your DIY store that you need something like this.

Did your fix work in the long term?

Yes, I fixed it over a year ago and so far it's fine.

    Sorry. Why change the transformer?
    Cos it was noisy?

      The lights just stopped working.

Ours stopped working, but it seems related to cables. Each side stopped working when opening doors, until they just flash nonstop.

And that's the most common reason these lights stop working. I had this problem too, I cut off the damaged piece of cable and reconnected it... You just have to be careful not to cut off too much 😉

was it the cable, or the little connector?

    • @filmOtom
      @filmOtom  8 місяців тому

@@peterc5167 A cable that keeps bending when you open and close the cabinet door.

The IKEA transformer is 24 V DC. You replaced it with a 12V DC transformer
