Glycerine max are the best - if you buy from brooks you can go for a run and even get them dirty and return if you don’t like them. I’d highly recommend going that route.

Skyward sounds like something I'd pull out during this time of the year when I need a little motivation because it's dark and either gray or windy, rainy or snowy every day (so basically every day during winter here in Europe). Small wonder you were fatigued after running in all these 300+ grams shoes 😂

But from your reviews (including your commentary on the Skyward X here), it seems like rockers aren't all created equal. I'd love to get a comparison across the rockered segment to help me learn what's what, and decide what might work for me.
Have been a New Balance guy all these while with currently using the more v4's (outdoors) and 1080 v13 (treadmill). After wearing the newer 1080 i find the v4 too soft and the foam has flattened faster than usual than my older v4 pair. Wanted to replace my outdoor more v4's with another shoe brand and have been eyeing the hokas skyward & puma magmax. I live in singapore and the hokas are going for 270USD. Sadly the magmax is not out yet in Singapore but saw them going on amazon japan for USD168. So no brainer, I got the magmax just today morning, 4 hrs ago from amazon. Woo hooo
Hurricane is an absolutely trash shoe so if it’s between those two go with the magmax. If you’re concerned about stability but still want the comfort get the glycerin max

Ayyy congrats on the walking habit/ streak 🙌🏽💪🏽 glycerin max is great but it's a little soft and tall cushioned for my personal preference for walking only. I would suggest the brooks ghost max or Saucony hurricane 24. The ghost max is slightly less cushioned than the glycerin max but has similar comfort and is a little firmer for walking. And Saucony hurricane 24 has a bit more support built in for walking as well
where do you get the info that they use the same foam? And what do you mean rebount too quick? Too quick for what? The faster you go, the quicker it has to be. The slower you go, the slower it can be. Never heard or read about joint problems because of "too fast rebound". I also recently fell in love with Puma and the firmer foam is better for knees and hips!

I'm leaning wildpeaks because reviews are saying they're better in the rain and it rains a ton here. But I had KO2s on my last Jeep and they were great - they're def the best looking all terrains especially with the white letters. I would go KO3s with the 2 door bronco - that's an elite combo 💯
@@supwell I gotta buddy who has a tacoma who swears by the wildpeaks. my neighbor has them on his Frontier too and the tires are aggressive looking. Id say go for the at4 wildpeaks for the jeep. 🍻

I weigh almost a 100lbs less than you and shoe reviews never match what I experience. I wonder what weight the shoe designers target. Two people of 127lbs and 220lbs are going to experience very different results despite what the shoe description is. I take shoe reviews with a grain of salt.
To anyone considering the Hoka Skyward X: it is a beast soaking up miles with good tempo, but it is not at all an easy day or recovery shoe, nor it is soft.
@@andy_runs305 Same here. :) But you are a fast runner I guess as I found that the shoe makes you run at least 05:20/km to enjoy it and it is not an easy tempo for many people. All in all I just wanted to remind people that even though it looks like a big pile of marshmallow it is absolutely not.

Been debating between the Glycerin Max and the Magmax Nitro, the timing couldn’t be better.
Glycerine max are the best - if you buy from brooks you can go for a run and even get them dirty and return if you don’t like them. I’d highly recommend going that route.

Those are all amazing shoes….ive only owned the Skyward X and have to say that’s it’s my favorite running/walking shoe to date.

200$ for that Brooks shoe is a rip off. The Hoka shoe at least has a plate and peba while the Magmax is 20$ cheaper and more versatile.

IMO the rebound is way too quick and it gives joint problems.
