I met the Raneys at at restaurant in Virginia. They’re filming here. The entire family were so gracious to everyone. They appear very down to earth . I was really tickled to have run into them .

Miss the Raneys!! Binged watched this show with my boyfriend for two months and it changed our lives. We learned so much from this show and finally decided it was time to get out of the city and bought our dream homestead. Thank you Raney family ❤
The main thing these lovely people taught me is that I’m certainly not cut out for this type of lifestyle. However, I’ve learnt such a lot and really enjoyed doing so. Looking forward to new episodes.

Happy to hear yall coming back. Ive built my own Beautiful 80acre homestead over last 20 years in Oroville (next to Paradise that burned in Campfire). I think Marty would like what I've done. Retired after 35yrs and now a hermit and Enjoying it!! My Mom just past in June and as it worked out I have a new chocolate lab puppy and named her "MAGGIE RAY" after my mom Margeret and dad Ray that passed when i was 15. I heard about your Maggie Mae and I thought another thing Marty and I almost have in common,lol no gloves here! No family here (cept my pets!) so I Really Enjoy the family times you guys have. Good luck with everything

I missed a lot of the shows as my local area stopped carrying it. I'm looking forward to it again.
I did see a UA-camr (I follow) that has a small place that the Raney's helped seemed to not have a good experience with them. I'm not sure if it was the same one you mentioned here or not. Sometimes, one person's expectation of what they hope or want to accomplish is totally opposed to what the person providing the helping hand and achieving a particular reality for them is doing. It's also an entertainment medium besides being educational/informative, so there has to be little bits of tension/cliffhanger/oops/sudden change of plans moments to keep the attention of the viewers. It wouldn't have gotten to 5 seasons if it was smooth riding/monotone all the time.

My favorite reality show on Discovery Channel. I like Marty's Jack of all trades Master of All attitude and his concern for safety. He is also an enviable family man, a hardworking person whom I admire a lot. I pray that he will live long and continue helping people

I have waited and waited for them to come back. Nothing really has be shown for sure. Or nothing has been shown from the channel. Until I see it ....I won't believe that they are back. They are greatly missed.

After Marty rebuilt his cabin home on top the mountain. And Misty built her family home near by. What about Matt and his family? have they built a home on the 40 acres? As well have they all added a greenhouse garden, beside what their mom has? Or a smoke house for meat preservation? Do they raise goats, chickens for milk/eggs for the kids of all the families on their own homesteads? They've done these buildings etc. rescuing other homesteaders, so beyond the replacing the tram system over the river, and rebuild of Marty and Molly's cabin has their new homestead been fully made self-sustainable with power/water and food for all the families together on the 40 acre homestead?
i watched this it was so good, i even wrote in hoping they will come to my friends .
I recall the show with the two men, obviously homosexual and ones brother was involved too. I carefully watched to see how the Rainey’s would react to them. I noted nothing but respect and the same helpful attitude from all the Rainey’s. Sad that some people always are looking for not only free help, but then spiteful accusations and infamy.
Just barely missed him stopping by my local rural Alaskan gas station. He dropped off a business card And I think I will give him a call soon!
I baught 220 acres in Vermont, all I want is to learn how to build a 3 bedroom cabin, probably not sensational enough but if this great guy helped me to build a cabin it'd be grand. Hoping to get out of CT!

@@sylviaminor5324 someplace green with water! Lol. Currently in western portion of Mojave Desert, Calif. Every thing is brown, brittle, DEAD! Water drought better part of 10 yrs, need green and wet! Lol. And hills/mountains! So flat here, can see for miles! Check area around Edwards AFB. That's us
