Marty, Tom and Eustace (and Preston- RIP) were my favorites on the show. Each taught me soo much and though i miss Marty and Tom, im happy for them.

@@jeandubois5658i thought the exact same thing about Marty & his daughter Noah. By the time I saw the episode, it was to late sure to help! But I saw something when his wife was dressing his daughter when she was young (almost a young lady) in front of him! It's something I will never forget, but don't see all the time. 😢
@@jeandubois5658everytime I commented being concerned about his young woman daughter everyone knocked me down saying I was crazy.... but I know what I saw. I could care less about Marty, I just pray Noah is staying strong. Because it's that now. God love her. Her mother was stupid allowing a 13 yr old young woman to go alone with Marty in the damn wilderness! JUST CRAZY! Blind people!
Marty was the real deal. He lived a dangerous life. I enjoyed his portion of the show immensely.
I was wondering about Marty the other day. I love that show and each of the families represented. Marty deserves his time. We never get that back and your children grow up way too fast. Thank you for sharing and be safe.
Marty had enough of being in the spot light.He has stated in other interviews that he missed his privacy,he is his own man and thats hard to do when you have cameras up your arse all day! Love marty and his personallity,he kept it real, another hard thing to do on that show!Hope the best for him and his family!

Doing 110+ episodes, they made more than the $200K this video claims. The narrator couldnt even get Marty's name pronunciation right. You dont believe they only made under $2000 per episode, do you?
Another thing this guy and most others don’t talk about is royalties. Sometimes they run Mountain Men all day.
It's hard to believe the small amount of money Marty & Tom received from their experiences they shared with us. I guess the Greedy corporates took of with all the pie & just gave them crumbs. 🇨🇦 71+ outdoorsman/ hunter

The narrator said Marty's name wrong the entire time. lol but Marty is missed. Tom is very much missed. We've been watching the new shows and it is quite boring. Sad.

Marty was the real deal! Some of the "Mountain Men" were not so out there.....Eustice Conway, in NC was about 30 minutes from Boone, which is a college town. He wasn't going to die out there....Marty was always at risk with no one close by to get him!
What is tragic about his life. The tragedy is we can't watch his awesome life.

Marty is also a licensed aircraft mechanic, we worked together at the same flying service in Fairbanks AK during the 90's
I really miss you, and Tom the most , I don't even watch the show anymore because of you 2 men are not there . I used to trap when I was younger, but I can't any longer due to being a disabled Veteran.

Marty was diffidently my favorite of the show with Tom coming in a very close second! I lived vicariously through theses two very tough individuals. I would sit in the comfort of my living room and only imagined how cold it really was,or how tired they could get walking through the snow. I truly loved watching this show, at 70 years old I would would often reflect back to this show when I would be out walking my neighborhood and I would get tired and want to stop, but No I would say to myself, Marty wouldn’t stop, he’s got to make it back to his remote cabin.. To be truthful I didn’t know what happened to the show, but I will miss these two exceptional men. Mountain Men

What was so shocking him leaving his wife behind to leave with his 13 year old daughter for months in the middle of nowhere. Who does that?? I hope he is not an abuser, it gave me an uneasy feeling the way he said he didn't want any camera. His daughter is a young woman and alone in the wild with no one around will she be safe? (:((
I thought this exact thing about Marty & his daughter Noah, at that time, 13 yr old young lady daughter he has been living with in a 1 bedroom home! His wife was to flippant dressing her in front of him. It's just as much HER fault as what Marty has done! No I don't have proof! But I have comparison!! I witnessed the exact offense happen. Sadly. Will never forget some of those looks, & things, actions/reactions. It's very sad i didn't catch this years ago. Everyone is blind that didn't see this!!!
He and Tom Oar were the main reasons I watched it. Haven't watched since.

It is absolutly appalling that Marty was paid so little for the time he spent on t. V. He should have made at least $100,000 a year as should all the others who bring us joy and let us look into their lives. The show made a bundle off these people and should have paid them much more. I pray that hhe and his family will be happy and safe. May God be the center of your life and guide you akways.

That really is not good to take your Teenage daughter into the wilderness. Very creepy.
If you watched the show you would know that his daughter wants to learn all his skills and she loves doing it. The only way to learn is for them to go out there and teach her. This isn't creepy at all. I would have given anything to spend that kind of one on one time learning from my outdoorsman dad before he passed away.
