    The only relation Bruce had to Sinatra was that Bruce did it his own way.

      I think it kinda goes both ways. Bruce made his own legend. But its one of those things where he was always going to cross paths with some Hollywood legends and more or less be the guy that people say "Have you heard about this Chinese dude who beat up Sinatra's bodyguard?" That is not to say that Sinatra made him, that is just the news group trying to put a spin on an incident that gave Bruce more notoriety in the Hollywood circuit.

      Isn't that the truth! Conjecture Bio, for the fast buck! May Bruce Lee's wife or daughter step up here and comment if this book makes the bucks. Lee deserves that much.

    To continue that last story,, Bruce bought a Porsche like Steve McQueen's and drove to the Dojo of Bob Wall and Chuck Norris, hitting the sidewalk hard. They came out of their class to see if anyone was hurt only to see Bruce climbing out of his new car, asking if Bob or Chuck wanted to take a ride with him. They both declined, gave a quick excuse and ran inside the Dojo

    Interesting, I wanted to be Bruce Lee too until I went to Seattle to visit Bruce Lee grave site 2004 and Bruce Lee ghost scare me straight. As Asian we know not to be stepping on someone else grave site or their home and that I was there as a visitor and a fan. I forgot to say I’m a visitor and please apologize and forgive me for intruding into your home or grave site. I thought that I was there as a fan but got the scare of my life next two nights later while I was in Seattle. I live in California but if I ever go to Seattle again, I would respect the dead and for most and be respectful as it was their home.

    Wasn't it a guy called Jay Sebring? Who was a celebrity hair stylist, (and later killed along with Sharon Tate by the Manson family) that had went to a Karate championship, and seen Bruce's demonstrations.
    Then when cutting William Dozier's hair one day (Executive producer of Batman and The Green Hornet), suggested Bruce was the man for the job, as William was looking for a Asian actor/martial artist to play Kato?

    Story goes, Bruce Lee kicked Vic Damon's bodyguard. The bodyguard hit the door and broke the door . All written Bruce Lee A fighting Spirit. He was drafted for the Vietnam war but failed physical due to undescended
    testicles .

    • @TeaGamingPanda
      @TeaGamingPanda 6 років тому

      He also failed because of his poor eyesight and shooting. Not sure about the testicle part you written, but if it was from Linda (I do think she wrote the Fighting Spirit right?) then it's fine sorry to mistake. He also even snuck out just so he can not go to the war.

    • @joeygonzo
      @joeygonzo 6 років тому

      It wasn't due to his eyesight . It was due to his undescended testicles .Fighting Spirit was written by Bruce Thomas.

    • @TeaGamingPanda
      @TeaGamingPanda 6 років тому

      Jack Ridge oh then I must got it confused by something else. But I’m not saying it’s mainly due to his eyesight. It’s one of the reasons. Also he didn’t want to go to war, so he snuck out.

    • @joeygonzo
      @joeygonzo 6 років тому

      He could not sneak out . Back in those days, if you wanted to dodge the draft, you went overseas. Steven Seagal married a Japanese woman and hid in Japan to avoid the Vietnam war. Stallone went to study in Switzerland . Muhammad Ali lost his title for refusing to go to Vietnam. Bill Clinton was an only son and was exempt from going to Vietnam.

    • @TeaGamingPanda
      @TeaGamingPanda 6 років тому +1

      Jack Ridge ahh, thank you nice facts. I didn’t know any of those except Muhammad Ali. I do think he quoted “What did the Vietcongs do to me?” Or somewhere along those lines.

    This book actually bored me up until the last 3/4 of the book when went to the hospital the first time. Up until then I had a very hhard time staying interested. very little talk of challenges or fights ..which is not what Ive heard from many many people, inclusing Linda saying he was always being challenged. Yet the book doesnt give me that idea, It makes me feel like..... I must have missed a few chapters of somethng, wheres all the big challenges & fights etc. .... Maybe I need to check out Lindas book.

      It's a book about a martial artist, but it's not a martial arts book, & I appreciated the fact that it was much more about Bruce Lee, the man, rather than more questionable stories about Bruce Lee, the myth.

  • @TeaGamingPanda
    @TeaGamingPanda 6 років тому

    Actually, yes that event can happen, but it isn't what caused his true fame, maybe partially a story, a nice badass story. Green Hornet (Kato in Hong Kong) was so famous in HK because of Bruce they just named it Kato. Since America wasn't working, Bruce decided to go to Hong Kong because why not, with his son Brandon Lee! Little did Bruce know BAM! He was already 75% famous there in Hong Kong! He did meet with his master Ip Man again! (He also took pictures with Ip Man and his son together, you can find them). Also Big Boss was a good starting point too because of his friend.
    Did you also know Bruce collected Elvis Presley Albums? Man, so many legends back then!

    Completely wrong guys get a hold on of Jessie glover book between wing Chun and j k d , Jessie heard about it. And was surprised that Bruce had not told him , he said he got into a fight with Vic bodyguard and it wasn’t a big deal , he was not talking too much about it , because he thought the body guard was mobbed up , and he never met Sinatra in his life, In letters too the dragon by John little he talked about going too Vegas , and hoping too met him, but it didn’t happen , also the fight with you Chun Polly got wrong as wel yip Chun was not in. Hong Kong when Bruce Lee was alive he said so on you tube , what happened the Star printed a story saying yip Chun had seen Bruce Lee dropped during chi sau and Bruce sued the sun , Polly you are a joke and there are many good books on Bruce s life. Linda am Alex are the two best . By the way the only connection Bruce had with. The rat pack , was with dean martin when he worked on , the wrecking crew , and he brought Sammi Davies gun from robin and the 7 hoods

      Yes, she was his wife, she loved him, which means her perspective is going to be at least a bit biased.

    That first clip was not BRUCE LEE as Kato. That was a scene from that horrible remake of THE GREEN HORNET by Seth Rogen. Stop being lazy and do your research people; it's the 21st Century how hard could it be to get a clip from the real GREEN HORNET television show in the 60's.

    • @gheeseng7098

      Mustafa Jackson are we seeing the same clip? That was definitely Bruce Lee as Kato, not Jay Chou (The actor who played Kato in the remake).

      Ben Soh I am 1000% certain that that first clip is not of Bruce Lee; it may not be the actor from the Seth Green's debacle - but it is definitely NOT Bruce. Just look at the camera work and the actor playing GREEN HORNET; the scene is blatantly not from a 1960's television show or a 1970's movie. I challenge you to find that scene in any episode of the GREEN HORNET television show; if you do please post it here.

      No, that clip was Jason Scott Lee in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story. I actually liked the Green Hornet with Seth Rogan.

      Uh ok, thanks for clearing up which "wrong" clip TODAY EXTRA posted. I knew it wasn't from anything Bruce Lee had done.
      So back to my initial point, someone at TE needs to be reprimanded for fouling up by posting the wrong clip.

    The bombshell of the book is that Bruce Lee is Jewish!

    • @scottkuhn4026
      @scottkuhn4026 6 років тому

      Pa Tero no. A Belgium jew. I was shocked. Never saw that coming. But they trace his pedigree back to a Jew who moved to China and had several wives etc. Amazing.

    • @scottkuhn4026
      @scottkuhn4026 6 років тому

      kevindlinc no. He is Jewish! It's a fact.

    • @TeaGamingPanda

      He was a Catholic, where did they get the Jewish part from? Who in their right mind mistaken that?! He was also part German from his mother side.

    • @scottkuhn4026
      @scottkuhn4026 6 років тому

      kevindlinc I'm not Jewish. But that's irrelevant. He was Jewish! This is the man who gave us Bruce Lee. That's where the Bruce Lee family attained all their wealth. Bruce Lee came from a wealthy family and was the most famous child star in China before he became a master. It is the wealth that his Jewish ancestor made that thrusted Lee to stardom. You are trying to ignore facts.

    • @scottkuhn4026
      @scottkuhn4026 6 років тому

      kevindlinc there would have been no Bruce Lee without his Jewish ancestor!
