At least you got a nice clean carb now dude lol . I remember we always used to carry a couple of spare sets of points in the glove box years back because they were always a problem area . The old Datsun still looks lovely 👌 she’ll be ready for the next outing now 👍
A few days later I went and got a second set for the glove box!! 😂 cheers, I do love it!! It’s slowly getting better as I run out of things that can break!!
@@missioncapri I had a car where I had replaced the carburettor which gave the thought of fuel issues and it ended up being that the condenser was faulty.
I’ve had 5 Datsun 620 j15’s I’ve spent 100’s of thousands on the engines ! They are not reliable at old age - put a Sr20de in or a d20 diesel 2:00 . Save yourself stress and money
I think I’m slowly coming around to that conclusion also. I really like the j15 but it’s has had such a hard life and everything on it is badly worn. To get it reliable again would cost to much and I might as well put that money into an sr20 like you say

I love the window on it. Helps loads!! Although this carb has had a very tough life!! Much more worn than my Weber carb on my ford.
1st get a ignition coil with a resistor 2nd the condensor on the distributor n the points
