This video is absolutely GOLD for anyone who needs to figure out how to do this. I CANNOT BELIEVE how hard it is to figure out how to do this on your own. Switching from Evee to Cycles... who would have guessed that was necessary? Not me! Thank you SO MUCH for posting this.
1 year later and it's still working! and thanks to this, I found out why it was saying "no texture found". the remedy is, as shown, having an image texture with the target texture added in. thankfully, that node doesn't need to be plugged into anything to work for this purpose take my like, Kai! this video deserves more!
Thank you so much for this video. I am so tired of my elaborate textures becoming incompatible with each new version of Blender. Now I can export them as high resolution PNGs and just apply image textures across platforms and not lose my pbr textures.
Surprisingly difficult to figure out something so easy, and it's not even possible in Eevee..😐 Thanks a lot, I'm definitely going to need this in the future!
I am having my texture bake right now and I followed everything and I rlly hope it works as I modified an image texture and want to import the modified texture into a game but fix doesn’t import the model with textures so I hope this works Edit: it worked and I’m happy
How did you get the viewpoint to have both the shader and the material side by side? Im not exactly sure on what to do with nodes and how to arrange them to get to this point.
thank you for this!!! I was going crazy! now is there a way to combine 2 materials in one uv? (one unique image texture) inside blender? otherwise I will go to photoshop and do it haha but I was wondering
How would I export a flattened image from a photo? I keep trying it through UV project and then exporting the image, but it's still in the perspective as the image instead of flattened. I hope that makes sense. Any ideas?
although i was able to turn the material into an image, it's in black and white instead of the color it was originally (pink) :( don't know what to do from here tbh, i'm pretty stumped. do you know how to fix this issue?
I’m new to this so I’m sorry if there is an obvious solution, but when I try to bake it says there is an error because “light” is not a mesh. How could I resolve this?

Dude thank u. I've been trying to figure this out for ever
Glad I could help
If your texture is all black try using glossy instead of diffuse, there is apparently an issue with it and the principled BSDF shader
🙏
finally someone who solve my issue, appreciate it

this is amazing for map creation for assetto corsa with the KSeditor
bro thank you so much I was struggling with this for a long time

100%! This process should be MUCH easier!
so close to greatness (with the texture name)
You have just saved me hours of time
Glad to help!
I was asking GPT for this because I didn't find anyone talking about it but no result , Thanks so much for the video
god thank you you've saved me
thank you great tutorial
You are welcome!

thank very much bro..
thanks
Super useful, did have to slow you down to 0.75x to follow along, but appreciate the speed nonetheless!
Thanks! This was really great!
Good tutorial well explained but I notice you are missing some of the maps, metallic, roughness etc etc - do you explain all of these elsewhere?

It was indeed obvious. I didn’t realize lighting was an object in the layout scene
I am a roblox developer and literally every single tutorial other than this is useless. Thank You so much for this!
yes bro
How can you find out if the nodes are eevee or not
Take a look here! docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/render/eevee/materials/nodes_support.html#eevee-only-nodes

Didn't work on my object that had a rough grainy texture. Thumbs down for me 👎
