Buying back an Old Car - RenaultSport Twingo RS 133 + Give away??

- Tracked down and found an old gem of a car I originally owned and rebuilt in 2018. Something different to normal in this weeks episode.
What should I do with it? Give it away? Who wants a small project car of their own?
I'd fix it up, get it remapped, fully detailed, out a cheap private plate on it and keep it for fun!
Excellent dog content, Hugo is an absolute unit.
I love little hot hatches, the Twingo is tidy.

Tracking and the airbag light are nothing, few cosmic damage is genuinely nothing. Personally I’ll keep it and fix it, no point remapping it as it’s not cheap to do modifications on any n/a car, I own a clio 200 mk3 great car but I’m looking into the twingo rs133 as I have plans for one which will surprise people

I love Twingos. Great little car with personality I think, but I’ve never owned one. I think a nice tart up and then hang on to it!

K4m engine very good. Did 100k in 4 years in a Megane Coupe mk1 ph2 many years ago. Engine used in single seater racing
Just a thought, if you used it for dogging purposes it'd just get dirty and end up like a plasterers bucket. Just leave it as is and sort the electrical/tracking

I own a Twingo myself. Unfortunately it's not an RS 133, but rather a 1.2 Dynamique.
I had the same problem with the airbag light about a year ago. I disconnected the battery and just wiggled the connector under the seat. The airbag light and service light hasn't come back on ever since. Maybe that could help you with it :)
Tidy it up. And do a quick flip. Good luck for what ever you do

How about using it as a possible modification project? Could be some interesting material there for your channel.
Renault have a common fault with drivers air bag if you turn ignition on and rock the drivers seat backward and forwards that sometimes fixes it (Megan owner)

Give it a Polish and clean out, the engines will have good potential so probably can be improved. Remember. It's not an Audi and not turbo'ed

Doesn’t float my boat in any way this car. Only thing going for it is low mileage, but it has probably been thrashed all its life, and the motor is tired. Spend as little as possible on it and covert it into a mobile kennel 😆

Why not stick a Clio 182 engine in it? Be good content and can be done relatively cheaply.
Whatever route you take will be good content. Do the small stuff like a service cambelt and wheelbearing and fix warning lights. From there you can decide. Its inevitably going to have a new owner. Weather a subscriver wins it for free or via raffle. Or it gets sold. Id want peace of mind that its not going to be a burden for the next owner. Do the car justice

Personally I'm not a fan of anything with the diamond of doom on the bonnet or any French car really! Looks like it hasn't had much TLC and is looking a bit worn as a result. If it were me I'd it fix it up and move it on but I guess there is some nostalgia for you - will be good content for your channel so be interested to see what happens.

It's French everything rattles 😂 usually everything electrical has failed as well.
Had a couple of Renaults. Never a breakdown and covered loads of miles. The newest Peugeot 308 is better than an A3 and I have an A3.
Had a Peugeot 407sw. The odometer lcd screen was unreadable on a warm day. Same then happened with the multi function display. Every abs sensor failed. The lamp failure module would tell me lamps had failed when they were fine. Tyre pressure monitors fell off inside the tyres. It was different things every month. The Renault megane I had for some reason they used rigid wiring onto the stalks etc so wires would snap off the switches. Good job I can use a soldering iron.
@@DurkoppFordertechnic Peugeot 307/407 and 1.9dci Lagunas from the 2000's had their problems. Megane RS hold their money and are good, Clio RS all very good whichever one including the newer EDC.

Airbag light, check connectors under seats. Had that issue on all my Renault when you flip seat forward it always wobbles loose. Had clio sports, megane rs. Never a twingo... I need a twingo rs in my life 😬

Can we stick to the cars? i have dogs, i like dogs, but don't look are car channels to see dogs, you love your dogs, i get it, we all love our dogs but its not needed on a car channel. the first 2 minutes were wasted, if you are looking for new subscribers and they saw the first two minutes wanting car stuff they would have switched off.
People like the dogs, have requested to see the dogs more... so the dogs make an appearance once in a while.

@@ajrush7684 I don't have a problem, I'm making the point that he is trying to grow the channel and make it bigger. Whilst appeasing some existing members, he may well be turning other away that are looking for car content rather that pet content. Albeit only a small part but the first 2 minutes of today video were all pet content. If a casual browsers looking for a car channel to follow which is his target audience, the're first impression of the channel would have been, i'm two minutes in and there has been no sight or mention that it is actually a car channel. By then they would have already clicked away. We are constantly asked "please comment below" if it not inflating the ego of the channel its rarely well received, so it seems we can only comment if we are "sucking up to the channel" rather than offering constructive criticism.
