the boot thing has been in honda jazz, ford fusion, toyota yaris's for years
Would happily swap my MK3 clio TCE for one of these
Suzuki swift sport trumps it in every possible way, way more kit, quicker, more agile and a 100% bomb proof, I’ve seen a customer at ring over rev a rental at 10500rpm thanks to a miss shift and not a single issue when stripped down, plus lower insurance than twingo
What year Swift?
Mk2 so 2012 onwards ‘the early ones were great too but lack of 6 speed box hurt them a little as a long distance car . I delivered most of Rent4ring’s RhD cars and they are surprisingly good on the long distance and handle great, for a traditional warm hatch they make so much sense. Xenon, folding mirrors, cruise , climate, keyless entry and on the later ones sat nav they never had any options to tick . Can even get a 4 door if you have to .
@@antj29 sound a decent car in the grand scheme of things then.
Not a fan of French cars however that’s quite a nice little steed. Nice review James 👌👍
No, Buy a panda 100hp instead and you’ll never regret it
Rq7 oh hi James may😂
How's The fuck life? It’s not supposed to be
Rq7 yes I have one o love it
Postman Pat😂car
Hardly a babe magnet when your a teenager. 😂😂
I have a Citroen C2 VTS if you want to review that. ;)
Yeah would love to. Mail me on talk@jayemm.com
What's the most economical / cheap to tax car that isn't a complete borefest?
What budget?
@@JayEmmOnCars In my case, maybe £3-5k. Cheaper the better as I'm trying to save money and only do about 5,000 miles a year but I don't want something super dull like a Polo or Fiesta :-)
Twingo is a good shout, mx5 is always good too, Toyota Celica
I have the standard 75hp version of this car as a daily "banger" and it's still quite fun imo. It's similar to this, except you can drive it everywhere at 100% throttle and vmax it on the motorway.
You can pick up a cup SPORT for 4k to 5k and a really nice low mileage car for 6 to 7k
Renault never made the twingo cup SPORT, Renault only made rs133 cup or full fat including optional extra’s from factory, not sure were you’re finding that price for a low mileage twingo rs133 as they’re around 5.5k and less for a good condition with low mileage
75 horse power is fun, there is no reason why you can have fun in a little 3 cylinder, 130 is just insane to a 18 year old because it is quite quick and commonly you'll never need the full 130 bhp
Nice video
If anyone has one is this a car suitable for my first car? Will it be a safe car to start with?
If you put a turbo into, it will be awesome!
What would this be like for a 17 year old to insure?
Prices vary for everyone
great wee cars
Is this rear or front engine?
Both
Front, Twingo 3 had it in the rear
They don't make an RS of the mk3. Only eco versions.
@@Jadzwing This is the twingo 2rs phase 1, twingo 2rs phase 2 has front. Renault never created the twingo 3 rs as it doesn’t exist for the twingo 3rs
@@boostedchris6120 never said they did, rear engined Twingo 3 was marked as GT, also don't know why you tell me about phases in Twingo 2 RS since no matter what phase it its engine is still in front
I have one, twingo rs red bull, it's a plazer to drive one
On a tinny back road it is as quick as my megane rs 265 cup I can tell you
Damn, i wish they were that cheap. Twingo rs (150k miles) in slovakia is 4500€ +set of all tires that i have to buy 😔
I owned a MK3 Clio with the k4m but should have got the twingo. My Hyundai Getz 1.6 has been a better car as well as more fun. I've embarrassed many people in the getz 🤔😁
Nice
Like Swift Sport!!
Good one is now 6 k
The era of fun cars is over, hothaches became super cars and evrething else is going ev.
Why should youngsters have all the fun?
mmm mudflaps, nice!
Jay, always enjoy your presentations but, mate, you're British are you? not mid Atlantic. how many times do you say liddle?! T`s palT`s LITTLE.
First hot hatch? Renault 5 GT Turbo, H reg bought in ‘95, sold in ‘99, god I miss that car.
Je reve d en acheter une bientot en rs cup
suzuki swift sports the better option imho
Renault rs 10 plate swingo good condition contact me thanks Cup model air con traction control switch on or off needs seat repair only some history red
Talking about how manageable the car is whilst grasping for breathe in between sentences
That's hayfever for you
JayEmm on Cars I rate that 😂
Great video as always! The twingo rs is definitely a fun wee car!
My friend has a red twingo RS too and here is a link to my video on his if you would like to see it?
ua-cam.com/video/7uSPMPhM3xs/v-deo.html
Abarth is miles better, but the twingo is the bargain.
No it's poop poo poo 💩 . I'm a car trader. It's plastic drab
I mean you're missing the point here it's cheap small fun little car and most young people looking for something like that will overlook the cheap plastic interor
Christopher Glover Yes here is me: ( as a trader knowing what's what and wanting a generation 1 Twingo import from France myself some 15 years back )..... FORD's are FUN and outdrive everything French, are more solid and can be fixed and feel STURDY ( to a point ); which a Clio cum Twingo cannot - The Twingo literally looks better and is rarer and that ends there. As a car, crappy.

And that's why I bought myself as my first car a Rover instead of a small crappy because even being young I wanted something nice and here in the UK for just very little money I got a 2 litre fully loaded 45
What you choose over the Twingo then? An ST150?
I hate ALL Renault cars
Amazing comment, really useful.
@@jackthehat8593 Thanks! Really useful reply too
@@scottchampion3511 any time. If that's your fiesta in your thumb nail then i am afraid that you're in no place to pass negative comments about any car really.
Jack The Hat It is indeed and whys that?
@@scottchampion3511 if you need to ask then I am afraid anything that I say will not be well received.
