Fucking Mikey Grade. He robbed us of the tacky, synthy, funky 90s goodness this theme stands for and could have stood for had he not canned Doctor Who to appease his ego. I hope he got stuck in the worst pub toilet in Scotland after he left the BBC, and that his mouth is stuck open so that every time someone takes a shit and/or piss, he gets fed. And that Peter Capaldi once found him in that toilet, and that when he found out who he was, he rushed out to buy all the spiciest Mexican and Indian food he could eat, waited, then came back and proceed to squeeze a liquid turd typhoon into Mikey's mouth. And every year since then, he comes back to that same toilet to rain diarrhea destruction into his gaping gobhole, sometimes bringing Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, David Tennant, Steven Moffat, and even the Queen with him to share the carthasis.
It's by Alister Pearson with a bit of inspiration from M.C.Escher whose art also inspired Castrovalva. Well, Castrovalva was one of his artworks and the Doctor Who story is named after it.
At the ultimate answer to life, the universe, and everything, 0:42, I feel like I've been spun right round into a time portal where the Talking Heads play on repeat with background rhythm by Casey and the Sunshine Band.
Sounds like a "What if Mike Post had arranged the Doctor Who Theme" version. Some of those guitar riffs sounded a lot like something he would've written.
I would like to know if the album cover came first or did they just borrow the image from the Program Guide, either way, it SO needs to be a poster or on a t-shirt. I'd buy it
The painting is by Alister Pearson with inspiration from the art of M.C.Escher. It was originally used as the cover for _The Doctor Who Programme Guide - 2nd Edition_
Well, then it probably just as we that Delia Darbyshire arranged the theme as finally heard on TV because this is closer to what was originally intended by the actual composer!
It's arrangements like this that make me wish the BBC would get more experimental with the main theme
This is so unmistakably 90's

Kyle Strom Tad harsh
Kyle Strom XD A bit too extreme...which is probably why South Park already did it in an episode.
Michael Grade is in a South Park episode? 🤣
@@skinnysnorlax9356 Coming soon to Big Finish productions.......
"Doctor Who: The Battle For Disco"
I like this
Doctor disco (as quoted by Peter Capaldi's doctor)
This image is trippy. The angle of the outline changes depending on how you look at it.

Its too weird
Something like a mix between the Who theme and 'You Spin Me Right Round' as well as a touch of Axel F.
Definitely could have seen this as the Doctor Who theme in later series!
"Gallifrey Funk"
The last middle 8... is devine.
3:44
...as the late Delia Derbyshire said "Tarting it up..."
From what I recall, she said that in description for what was being done with the tune for when the Delaware theme was being made
This theme gives me so much Nostalgia memories
Doctor Who theme as reimagined by Boney M
I just imagined this combined with the Delaware theme, and the ‘How Ron Grainer intended’ theme.
My mind will never be the same again.
Temptation.
I might do it
Doctor Who if it was a DOOM WAD.

I plan on buying some musical spoons so I can freestyle to this song ^^

Catchy tune
Doctor Who by the Pet Shop Boys
Some of the bassline and synths sound like they're from Magnum P.I., lol.
Pretty good theme. A bit too "nineties" which is another word I use for "cheesy and catchy". But as always, dat middle eight do. DAYUM!
Well it was made in the "ninties" xD. But I do love the middle eight also! This song is amazing.
Excellent art by Alister Pearson with some inspiration from M.C.Escher!
The drawing is confusing me... I like it
awesome very good
Can somebody point me in the direction of the rest of this album?
Play at 1.25x speed
This should be a tribute song to
“all 13 doctors”
Didn't like it when it started out, but around 1:15 it got better. Loved it.
What's happened to the TARDIS in this picture? Did the TARDIS explode again?

Does anyone know the tempo of this recording?
What synth played the middle 8 at the start? I'm really curious
lets be honest they probably made this for season 27 before it got the axe
um.. no.
Simon Millam dr who theme 1994
One dalek don't like it music
You would dislike the video with one dalek?
*WE WOULD DISLIKE THE VIDEO WITH FOUR DALEKS*
Who did this remix riverdance?
Bussin on god on god🔥🔥🔥🔥
what even
Sounds like erasures version of the good the bad and the ugly
That arrangement was hideous.
I don't know why I sat through all of it.
I suspect this track is what caused the Tardis on the CD cover to explode.
