I'm using CarSifi in my EV&6 and E-niro and it is rock solid. From time to time it doesn't connect, but i have never had it drop out. My phone gets hot in the buil din wireless charger, as it exposed to the sun from time to time. Great video by the way 👍👍
I got one of these for my EV6 also. As you say, it does drop out every now and then. Not good if you're using navigation! I've ended up turning off the wireless charging though as it seems to heat up my phone (pixel 6 pro) much more than I'm comfortable with.
Thanks for this review and all the other great information and tips you have posted. I have used the Carsify with no issues for a few weeks however it dropped out whilst driving a week ago and it is just not accessible anymore. It will not connect via bluetooth. I have uninstalled the app, unpaired the device and even installed fresh onto another phone but no luck. I suspect the unit is faulty but thought I would check on here to see if anyone else has had the same issue and if they managed to resolve it as I quite miss it now
My Android auto disconnects with my kia ev6 gt line rwd with hard wired and even with the Motorola dongle to have wireless android auto. I suspect its either a power issue or a data cable issue within the car since ive tried multiple phones and external cables to connect my phone but i cant figure it out. 😭
That's a well known problem on EV6 and Ioniq 5. It's down to an issue with the USB wiring. There was a thread on KiaEVforums where someone dismantled it and re assembled it and it worked. In theory dealer should be able to sort this as a warranty issue.

So when running Android Auto, I assume you are using data from your phone for the nav app and other apps that require an Internet connection. Has that caused you to run over your data allotment?? As for the cable connection, don't really see the problem with running the cable down the side of the center console down to the USB port. Generally a wired connection is more reliable than a wireless connection. IMHO Thanks for the videos.
Yes it does use your phones data.I have a 4Gb allowance per month.Unless you turn on Satellite images on Google Maps then it doesn’t use that much so it’s not an issue for me.As i said in the video my physical phone connector has become worn out & unreliable so wireless is the way to go for me.Simply just put the phone in the charging pad and away it goes.Works for me.You don’t have to have google maps open. You can just run it with the media player with the clock in the side panel. If you are running the Kia Nav then you can just display the AA playing media in the one third split screen.
Hi Brian I did find Carsify and thank you for doing a video on it I looked at the Wireless Charger on my Amazon and there are 3 of them. Which one is for us. My phone does wirelessley charge so am I missing something. I will get a carsify as it looks good Thanks Brian
I’ve heard nothing since the initial rumours that it was coming in the summer. It’s now Autumn. At least we know all EV6 have a battery heaters unlike some trims of Ioniq 5. We are getting to the time of year when we are going to need it again.
Good idea but be aware that with using the Wi-Fi as you say the phone gets hot but leaving it on the cars charging pad while using wireless android it gets even hotter and can over heat the battery.
I'm glad my review helped! I'm loving Carsifi. Reliable and easy to switch between phones which helps with my wife and I.
Cheers Jeff.It seems to get better with every update.
@@evodessey yep. For the price you can't beat it.
Thanks for this and your other videos. Really helpful and without any unnecessary stuff! You've got one more follower.
Thank you and welcome to my channel
I don't know what the options are for the EV6 in the UK, but here in Holland you only get wireless charging on the GT line and higher.

So far on my Realme 6 it’s fine just a bit warm

Yes i suspect the unit is faulty by the sound of it.
Thanks for the quick response. I will contact them. Appreciate all your posts it’s my go to page for all EV6!

@@evodessey sadly I did this before multiple times and the issue was still present 😔
Is there something similar for Apple phones (Apple carplay)?
There are a few yes but I don’t know which is the best.

If your phone charges wirelessly already you don’t require an adapter from Amazon.

I will order the Carsify tonight

My carsify came today.
I shall install it in the morning
Installed the Carsify App ready

Hi Brian
My wife has her own car the Mokka E and a Samsung phone. What if ant differences is their setting it up for her?
Can you still use the in-built navigation (and HUD turn by turn) when connected to Android Auto ?
Yes you can still use Kia Nav as normal
To be clear Android Auto Google maps does not appear on HUD or binnacle.
does it seem laggy compare to wired?
Very slightly sometimes. And at other times 99% not at all.
Is it true that we will be getting battery precondition in a update

@@evodessey I thought that there was an upgrade in Europe
@Chas Painter Some Ioniq 5 Bluelink App had it for a short time but nothing in the UK.Not heard of it in mainland Europe either.
Can you do a video on how to set the radio presets
@@chaspainter3585 I will add to my list but it can be a bit different in different parts of the world.I can only do from UK perspective.
Looks like a bonus not having Kia Connect in Australia 🙂
A rare positive 😀

I did mention it in the video. It’s been fine for me.
I find Android Auto a nuisance. I want to start and stop the navigation on the phone itself. But once connected, it locks you out.
