Halsey and BTS are very good friends actually, she even went to their concert in LA a week ago! They first met at the Billboard Music Awards in 2017, they became friends and agreed to collab one day, which became true with Boy With Luv obviously! BTS is indeed way bigger than Kpop but I also do think that a lot of Kpop groups (based on the few that I have heard) cover a lot of genres other than just pop or rather Kpop music in general these days is a fusion of a lot of different genres and recently the switch in genre mid song has become so popular. I do feel like Kpop literally just means Korean popular music which ironically isn't as popular in SK itself. Kpop was never a genre in itself and it's sad that the media tends to project it that way.

One of the more recent albums, (2020) Map of the Soul 7, focuses on Karl Jung's theories about self-actualization, with a musical journey through the Persona, Shadow, and Ego. Each of the rap line have a song titled as such, but the album explores the concepts of getting to know and accept the real you, with all the darkness and fear and hope, etc. You've reacted to a few already (including this song), but the entire album is incredible, both musically and narratively/lyrically. It's surprisingly honest for a group at their level of fame. "Interlude:Shadow" by Suga, from the album, is the song that really made me fall in love with BTS.

BTS and Halsey's friendship is so cute, they meet years ago and they finally collab in Boy with luv, she got more lines on the live performances and spotify version. Also, Halsey collab with SUGA later on her album, the song is called "SUGA's Interlude" i recomend this, it's a beautiful song, and the album is so important to Halsey, that's why the fact that she let suga be part of the album is very special.
I've always listened to old music, particularly 70s and 90s rock, and I feel the same way about getting hooked up to BTS. I'm an ARMY since a little more than a year ago and I'm in love with their music and most of all their lyrics. BTS filled a musical void I didn't know I had, related to current music with depth and meaning. Discovering BTS and all the layers and intricacies of their lyrics was a blessing for me at 35 years old. It's impressive how introspection and honesty plays a huge role in the lyrics they write. They also get inspired by literature, for example Herman Hesse's Demian for the album Wings, and Carl Jung for Map Of the Soul 7. Believe me, you are about to enter an unbelievable artistic experience if you are willing to dig deeper.

You've already reacted to many songs by now that use the imagery of being given wings. ARMY is what gave BTS their wings - the song Outro: Wings detail this specifically, but this is a motif that repeats over and over again.

Near the end when RM does his solo part, it's a tribute to a scene in "Singin' in the rain" the end of the "Gotta dance" scene. And all the neon signs are the names of their songs! And yeah, I wish Halsey had sung more on the track. "Boy with love" is supposed to be a more mature them in direct answer to "Boy in love." Where they were a bit...insensitive to the girl in the song & video. That's why only one word changed.

That is, indeed, the amazing Halsey. She's been good friends with BTS since 2017. They always visit when they're on the same continent -- she was at one 8f their shows in LA a few weeks ago. This was their first project together (Suga also featured in a song on her Manic album called Suga's Interlude), and she performed it live with them on several awards shows and on-stage live with them in Paris on their 2019 tour. She recently had a baby, and she calls BTS the Uncle Crew. Her feature is much more prominent on the album version, if you want to hear it. She wrote a few of the lyrics, sang some Korean, and learned the choreo, which is not usually her thing, so she could fly to Korea and film this. 💜

I think it was 2019 Melon Music Awards where they performed both of these back to back (Boy In Love, Boy With Love). I think you may have reacted to that already so that's where you heard this song before. If you haven't, you really should - it's the most epic performance I've ever seen (and I'm old...lol). That award show featured RM 's solo of Persona, then Boy in Love, Boy with Love, Mikrokosmos, the individual member spotlight performances, and Dionysus.

She's great. They all remain good friends. She gave them friendship bracelets and they gave her one of the bedazzled (with Swarovski) mics. More recently they gave her baby gifts and she attended one night of their LA shows. The white suits I believe are Chanel. I have a book with a photoshoot, great detailing. I think you guys might enjoy their song called 134340 from their Love Yourself: Tear album. It’s another super different sound, chill but funky with a prominent jazz flute throughout. The lyrics are really fun too - it’s a breakup song from the perspective of Pluto after it lost its planet status (and it’s name). One of my faves.

I love watching people discover BTS and all the different genres they do and how very talented they are. Like MCA, I'm more of a rocker, and it takes me back to when I first started listening to them and being blown away by how amazing they are. I was definitely sleeping on them. There's a reason why they are the biggest band in the world.
The difference between Boy in Luv: love = drama, what they can give to us. Boy with Luv: love is something that you have/share, it’s not give-and-take but rather learning about each other and loving the small things.
You need to listen to “We are Bulletproof : the Eternal”. It’s almost like our anthem between BTS and Army ❤️ but you need to read the lyrics as well to understand their story to that song. It legit brings us Army into tears 😭

Halsey is described by BTS' RM as their "best friend". Halsey made a cameo performing this song at their recent concert in LA. Halsey, singer-songwriter became big after her collab with Chainsmokers for "Closer". Closer is certified 12x platinum by RIAA (12 million units sold). Coincidentally BTS also has a collab with the Chainsmokers. They produced "Best of Me" for BTS. Its one of my favorite songs with a dope choreo.
Halsey actually contributed a lot in Boy With Luv, she even sang in Korean. However, what I previously said is more evident in the Spotify/album version. Idk why here in the music video, it’s not that shown. But from what i hear is that the purpose is so that they could perform this at korean music shows and Korean award shows without having to fly Halsey in every time. (This is what i heard???) If I got the right info, I believe the follow up to Boy IN Luv with Boy WITH Luv is contrasting a more mature REAL love (true caring), compared to just an infatuation-type love ("in love")
BTS just has such great music, like their discography is one of the best in the whole industry in the world like they just make good music.
Another great rap line song is "Outro:Tear". It's not like Ddaeng or Baepsae, but the song still hits, especially with the lyrics. Apparently they wrote it about hardships during the time they considered disbanding

One of the more recent albums, (2020) Map of the Soul 7, focuses on Karl Jung's theories about self-actualization, with a musical journey through the Persona, Shadow, and Ego. Each of the rap line have a song titled as such, but the album explores the concepts of getting to know and accept the real you, with all the darkness and fear and hope, etc. You've reacted to a few already (including this song), but the entire album is incredible, both musically and narratively/lyrically. It's surprisingly honest for a group at their level of fame. "Interlude:Shadow" by Suga, from the album, is the song that really made me fall in love with BTS.
I recommend the MAMA 2019 performance. You have never seen an award show performance like it. It's basically a mini concert on an award show.

BTS and Halsey's friendship is so cute, they meet years ago and they finally collab in Boy with luv, she got more lines on the live performances and spotify version.
Also, Halsey collab with SUGA later on her album, the song is called "SUGA's Interlude" i recomend this, it's a beautiful song, and the album is so important to Halsey, that's why the fact that she let suga be part of the album is very special.
I've always listened to old music, particularly 70s and 90s rock, and I feel the same way about getting hooked up to BTS. I'm an ARMY since a little more than a year ago and I'm in love with their music and most of all their lyrics. BTS filled a musical void I didn't know I had, related to current music with depth and meaning. Discovering BTS and all the layers and intricacies of their lyrics was a blessing for me at 35 years old. It's impressive how introspection and honesty plays a huge role in the lyrics they write. They also get inspired by literature, for example Herman Hesse's Demian for the album Wings, and Carl Jung for Map Of the Soul 7. Believe me, you are about to enter an unbelievable artistic experience if you are willing to dig deeper.

The "You" they refer to in this song, is ARMY. With the two wings you gave me back then --- With the wings of Icarus you gave me, not toward the sun- but toward you.
You've already reacted to many songs by now that use the imagery of being given wings. ARMY is what gave BTS their wings - the song Outro: Wings detail this specifically, but this is a motif that repeats over and over again.
This was my first BTS video and RM became my bias from the beginning. So catchy; I was singing this for weeks after I heard it. You good. Keep going.

"Boy with love" is supposed to be a more mature them in direct answer to "Boy in love." Where they were a bit...insensitive to the girl in the song & video. That's why only one word changed.

A really good Deep song for them is Truth Untold, Bulletproof the Eternal, Born Singer, Forever Young (Westchester Live), Love Yourself, Magic Shop, Friends, Save Me, Fake Love, I Need You. They also have an alternate universe within some of the videos as well so that's another thing with the music videos.

When you match the title in Korean "Book of Little Poems", to the lyrics then the song makes even more sense and deeper meaning. It s their little poems to someone or a group of people. I like to think it is them dedicating professing their healthy dedication concerns, feelings towards ARMY.

I think you guys would really like some of their slower songs too! Spring Day, Life Goes On and Blue & Grey are fantastic. You may also enjoy some of their live performances where you can actually hear the Army Chants, like the M Countdown Comeback (not as great as their concerts but the sound is usually more clear)
They are very good friends, Halsey is always very welcoming with them and they get along. She got friendship bracelets for all the members and they gifted her a sparkly microphone like the ones they use during performances 💜✨

That is, indeed, the amazing Halsey. She's been good friends with BTS since 2017. They always visit when they're on the same continent -- she was at one 8f their shows in LA a few weeks ago.
This was their first project together (Suga also featured in a song on her Manic album called Suga's Interlude), and she performed it live with them on several awards shows and on-stage live with them in Paris on their 2019 tour. She recently had a baby, and she calls BTS the Uncle Crew.
Her feature is much more prominent on the album version, if you want to hear it. She wrote a few of the lyrics, sang some Korean, and learned the choreo, which is not usually her thing, so she could fly to Korea and film this. 💜
I'm so happy that you are liking BTS! Since you liked ddaeng, I would highly recommend listening to the cypher series, there are 4 parts.

You may want to watch some of the solo works... They have individual style and vibe. Therefore, when together, they bring so much flavour and variety to the group music.
I think it was 2019 Melon Music Awards where they performed both of these back to back (Boy In Love, Boy With Love). I think you may have reacted to that already so that's where you heard this song before. If you haven't, you really should - it's the most epic performance I've ever seen (and I'm old...lol). That award show featured RM 's solo of Persona, then Boy in Love, Boy with Love, Mikrokosmos, the individual member spotlight performances, and Dionysus.
