The color purple represents BTS fans, ARMY. V coined the phrase' I purple you', it was his way of saying 'I love you' to ARMY. Now its become a thing between BTS and ARMY. BTS uses the color purple for ARMY.
This song was written to mark an end of lockdown from the pandemic. My understanding of the purple balloons is that BTS is spreading the message of love, happiness and freedom all around the world as lockdown ends.
As far as the writing, producing and composing works they do all contribute. It varies from song to song. They have in house producers which work on many songs but they also have songs which are solely credited to the BTS members.
You should think of their process as a music camp. They all are almost always working on new music and they constantly send in work to their label. Then each submission is selected or refined by the team or just the members depending on what is needed at that particular time for that particular project.
For their solo projects the members or known to write, produce and compose by themselves with a rare few exceptions.

They also have outside writers and composers, especially for the recent all English ones but they do put their touches on almost all of the songs.
If you go back to the beginning of the MV, Jimin (the guy with the black outfit with white fringe) is holding a newspaper and the headlines kind of explain what is happening. If you can't see them there, you can look you can look at the Permission to Dance Official teaser video where the headlines are more prominent (ua-cam.com/video/iLycuRm1V0Q/v-deo.html).

I cried the first time I saw this music video because it's just meant to give you hope. Obviously you can tell it's during the pandemic and seeing just people of all walks of life dancing and enjoying life and finally taking off their masks just gave me so much joy I got a little choked up. Obviously things have been pretty hard on everybody so the biggest group in the world encouraging people that there's hope and joy left was kind of emotional because I watched it without knowing what to expect.

    - Purple is ARMY's colour. They were sending a message of hope to ARMYs all over the world, hoping that the pandemic is coming to an end.
    - They do write most of their own songs but this one was written by Ed Sheeran. They've been involved with writing, composing and producing since the beginning together with their production team. Their korean songs are on an entirely different level when it comes to lyrical depth though. I suggest something like Black Swan which is about their fear of losing their passion for music and is based on a quote by famous choreographer Martha Graham: "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing and this death is the more painful one".
    - PTD was released as a b-side to Butter, hence the pancake reference. It was released on ARMY's birthday this July as a gift. It's meant as a fun, hopeful song to cheer up ARMY during the pandemic.
    - It was also Disability Awareness Month and part of the choreography is actually sign language.
    - They recently performed PTD at the UN where they were also giving a speech (their third) on youth and environment. This time however they were presidentially appointed envoys for South Korea with diplomatic passports and all.
-They love "easter eggs": A sign in the office saying disABILITY, their debut date as a phone number on the window, their bosses dancing with them at the end, the sign post which we think is a tour hint (so far LA checks out), etc., etc...
    - The rule with BTS is if it can be built they probably did. They built the whole set from scratch on an empty lot in S. Korea - hills, laundromat and all. Then another team shot the scenes from the US.

All members are involved in writing and/or producing their songs in every album except maybe for their all-English songs. This song, Permission To Dance, is written by *Ed Sheeran* . The 3 rappers have over a hundred credited songs in *Korean Music Copyright Association* . The 4 vocalists as well are members of the association. *Suga* even produced for other artists and won an award as a producer. If you're interested to know more about the group, you can watch a documentary about them, *An Introduction of the 7 Members of BTS by Ida S* , the updated one. With the exception of Dynamite and PTD, the members always have a hand in writing the songs. Generally speaking the three rappers are the ones most involved in writing, composing and/or producing, but the vocal line has contributed many times too. They do have other writers and producers to help them but the members are always involved in the process no matter what (even with dyna and PTD, they made sure everything was perfect). Tbh the more you get to know them the more you're gonna realize that each of them have their own strength.
Btw purple is bts and army's color. This song is all about giving a message of hope, for the pandemic to end soon. When it does, we will ditch our masks and dance together again.

I don’t speak Korean at all except basic greetings. You guys should delve into some of their non English songs (they only have 3 full English songs). Checkout BTS room festa 2021 - medley of around 7-8 songs across their 8 year discography. Snippets done live. BTS armypedia live - 3 of their earliest hits reworked almost to a Low key sit down old skool r n b hip hop. Another is the tiny desk concert live. And their MTV unplugged. And watch the versions with the subs on. I listened to most music from the 60s all the way through now by virtue of a being the youngest with lots of older siblings.

As some people have mentioned the color purple is BTS color, the balloons represent covid and releasing the balloons represents the end of the pandemic. If you didn't notice all the workers were frontline workers. And the dance they did at the end with the staff contains sign language for the word dance and joy. They are all about inclusivity so they want to make sure that everyone was included in this song. 😁 Ed Sheeran wrote this song however as others have stated they write most of their songs, adapt songs like this to fit their mission and produce them as well with in-house producing help.
To me you've listened to two ends of the spectrum, Ugh! at one end and Permission to Dance is the other. These men deserve the world because they have change so many lives. I guarantee if you continue down the BTS rabbit-hole you would be changed for the better. 💜💜

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet or not but in the trailer of this song they mentioned that 'Purple balloon in the sky will signify the end of covid and won't have to wear mask any more' so that's why as the mv is closing to the end people can see the balloons in the sky and they start to remove their masks.
Purple have also become an official color for BTS and ARMY. So that's why purple means so much to us.

This song was written by and gifted to BTS by Ed Sheeran (there were others involved in additional lyric writing). It debuted on Army’s anniversary day, and was not a heavily promoted song.

The balloons were not only purple for ARMY (purple is ARMY/BTS color) and it also is supposed to symbolize the end of Covid and the return of their concerts! They’re famous for planting little Easter egg details for upcoming things and the balloons are one of them. The newspaper that Jimin throws says that the date is 2022, and that Covid is over (hence why they all take their masks off at the end). They’ve also ended an online concert around the same time PTD was released with with balloons and purple things in the sky with news captions saying that something is coming, leading fans to believe they’re planning another tour in the future once Covid has ended (which has since been confirmed). It’s always fun looking for the little details like that in their music videos (and that’s without even getting into the BU or bangtan universe, which is a storyline some of their music videos follow!)

The interesting fact is that in the choreography they symbolize the words like "dance","peace" with the sign language. So they wanted to make everyone who watches them even the people who can't hear them, understand the message they are sending to comfort everyone and send hope in this tough time of the pandemic. And the purple color comes from the phrase "I purple you" which is the "invention" by V,saying it's the last color in the rainbow and that he is going to love as forever. So the international way of saying i love you between ARMY and BTS became "Borahae" or "i purple you". :)

To answer your question about them making their own songs, they all have taken part in writing the lyrics for their songs, the rappers especially have a writing and composing credit in almost every song of theirs. The rappers also produce, Suga especially is a producer and has produced songs for them and other artists. They have great in house producers, Pdogg is the producer of most of their songs and he's really great. They take part in the making of their songs in some kind of way with almost all songs, there are probably only around 10 songs in their whole discography where they are not credited in any creative way.

Word purple and word love sound similar in korean - so they say "i purple you" meaning "i love you" to their fans. Fans are called the Army.
They write their own lyrics and do production of their songs.
Three songs - Butter, Dynamite and Permission to dance are made more pop and colorful because Covid situation, and they wanted to bring some joy to people and their fans. Also, they wanted to appeal more to the american market (radio stations refused to put BTS songs because they said - songs don't sound like something Americans would like, and songs are in korean).
They are versatile and do all kinds of music genres.
Members - 3 rappers (Suga, RM, J-Hope), 4 vocals (Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook) - rappers usually rap, and vocals usually sing.
Most of the time they do a song all together but sometimes there is a song with just rappers and sometimes with only vocals. Also, sometimes they do songs individually or just some of them. Beside BTS, they also do their solo work.
They are amazingly multitalented, kind, humble, hard working tight-knit group of people 💜

The purple is a color for BTS and ARMY💜. This song is to give people hope for the relief of Covid19 even though the pandemic is not over yet. The choreography even involves sign language because they wanted to reach out to everyone they can around the world. They are heavily involved in writing and producing their own music. I don't know if you guys only watch music videos or you watch other videos too but there's a video introducing the members and it does talk about their involvement in writing and producing it's called "An introduction to the 7 members of BTS" maybe you should watch it.

The last dance in the video has the BTS staff dressed in black, as opposed to dancers white... if you look closely you will see Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk (BTS founder) just behind J-hope on the left side of the screen. Next to him is HYBE's new CEO Park Ji Won.
The song was actually written with BTS by Ed Sheeran and his sometimes writing partner Johnny McDaid. Ed also wrote BTS's " Make It Right" hit along with RM, SUGA, J-HOPE, & a couple other songwriters.
    Enough trivia for today...

BTS have heart and they never shy away from expressing how much their fans mean to them. Purple became a color to represent the bond between BTS and ARMY, meaning 'I'll love and trust you for a long time", and the terms 'I purple you' or 'Borahae' are used to express this. The balloons can be interpreted as a message of hope being spread around the world (they didn't actually release any because BTS are advocates for the environment as well).
Permission to dance is about liberation, we are still dealing the the constraints of covid on many levels around the world, but we are starting to see the light.
The sign language in the choreography is another touch that shows BTS like to include everybody.
If anybody wants to know how impactful those few little moves are you just have to watch the video of hearing impaired students getting excited when they first see the music video.
BTS performed Permission to Dance at the United Nation General assembly recently, and even though many people were confused it was a perfectly sane choice. BTS took a very basic song, and turned it into something so much more with the use of symbolism and inclusiveness.

I'd say they largely ask for the instrumentals (with guidence on what sound they want), the rappers write their own raps, and RM (the leader) writes most of the other lyrics and a majority of the melodies. They work sort of like a music camp, each creates their own demos for songs and then they pitch it to the group and the company. So they do sometimes write the instrumentals too, and they help produce the tracks. Suga especially writes and produces a lot - even for other artists. Suga and RM are the musical backbone I would say. Other notable in-house producers that have a lot of involvement are Pdogg, Slow Rabbit and to some degree Supreme Boi. Some other members are largely focused on the performance aspect. They overall compliment each other extremely well.
P.S. They didn't contribute much to the English songs - they made suggestions, modifications and improvements, but they didn't write the songs. I believe that is also true for majority of Japanese songs. There are exceptions - RM wrote the Butter raps and JK wrote Your Eyes Tell and contributed to Film Out. On that note, there are only 3 English songs out of 300, and they are the most unlikely sound you will hear from them. They are very prolific with publishing music, and have a lot of solo music out there as well (solo music not under a bts album is left completely up to them and they basically do it in their free time).

They explained this in an interview once, but their songs are written like a “music camp”. Essentially they and their in house producers are constantly writing lyrics, making beats and melodies, and then they review them together and pick the best option for every song. And then occasionally they’ll collaborate with artists or find one being sold by a producer that fits with what they wanna do atm. However in those cases they always make their own lyrics and usually modify the music too.

They didn't write their last 3 English songs but they do write, compose and produce much of their music, along with their in-house team. The rappers (RM, SUGA, and JHope) are the main songwriters and always write their own rap verses, but everyone contributes to the process. The rappers also have their own solo mixtapes which they worked on on their own. Suga is probably the most hands on when it comes to producing and is considered one of their producers now. He has also produced for other well known Korean artists and won awards for his work. I'm glad you're done with their 3 lightweight English songs now cuz the good stuff is their own music in Korean.

RM holds the title for the youngest idol and 2nd most credited song writer in Korea (ARMYS please correct me if my info is wrong) and Suga is one of the most sought-after producer having produced songs by Halsey, Coldplay and other Korean and Japanese artists, and the Samsung ringtone Over the Horizon.

This MV and song bring me so much joy. Its the third in their 3 english releases meant to bring comfort and joy to their fans because of Covid. It’s saying we will get past it and get to dance. They do nothing accidentally so the inclusiveness of including those most hit by the pandemic from service workers, postal employees, children, elderly, teachers, disabled, office workers and being race inclusive is deliberate. Using sign language in the choreography… it’s so sweet. I’ve seen videos of deaf Amry or those with deaf family meme era and it truly touched people to make them feel included. So proud of them performing this at the UN and giving a truly touching speech about the UN Sustainable Development Goals. They are so extra you will learn, to get that southwest feel they built a set in an empty lot in Korea, built the laundry mat, brought in the plants etc. ( the sets in their videos are Hollywood extreme sometimes.. again they are as extra as their budget will allow).
This song was co-written with Ed Sheeren and they contributed some lyrics. They all contribute to lyrics with song credits ranging from one member has contributed to about a dozen songs and vocal line each has just under 20 song writing credits (of their catalog of over 200 songs). The rapline does the heavy lyric writing work JHope has I think 112 song credits, Suga’s in the 120s, and RM is the heavy lyricist with 180 and the youngest artist in Korea to achieve that and one of the top most credited artists in Korea. They have all helped produce a little (again mostly rapline) but Suga is actually a world class producer (he’s won awards on the songs he’s produced for other artists in multiple categories and was hired as a producer before they convinced him to join BTS) and has about 50 song production credits; in addition is usually credited for piano and synthesizer on his solo songs (can’t remember if he is in many BTS songs). He tries to write a song every day so about 200 a year. They are in the world longest band camp. Jungkook has also directed a music video and they all worked on every aspect of the BE album form design to jacket etc. They have thousands of behind the scenes videos and vlogs (more content than anyone could ever catch up on) so they have let us see alot of their process.

Suga said in an interview that the writing process was like a year long song camp. When a member comes up with a song, he then sends it to the CEO (Hitman Bang) and the other producers. Then they work on it and send it back. They do this until everyone is satisfied. But the members usually come up with the idea first. Since the beginning they have had artistic freedom when it comes to song writing. This is not usual in KPop.

Most BTS music is written and composed in house by the group and producers. It is mostly in Korean with English splashed in. They have songs written in Japanese as well. However, despite being the largest group in the world, selling out Western football stadiums such as Wembley and the Rose Bowl, they were unable to get radio play. The American Music Industry had no skin in the game and radio stations operate on a mostly pay for play basis. Further, Korean was deterrent to putting things in the few unbought slots. Big Hit (HYBE) made the decision to use the pandemic isolation wherein live performances were only over the internet to broaden their strategy. They added so far three Western composed all English songs to the BTS catalog. The response they got arguably was beyond anything they might have expected. Each song rocketed out the gate to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. But to re-answer your question, most BTS works are self-written.

These are alot of questions, I would suggest to watch an introduction video for 7 members of bts by IDA S: ua-cam.com/video/kGRlqyuky2s/v-deo.html
But to give a precise answer BTS members are songwriters, producers, singers, dancers and sometimes directors as well and yes sometimes they also receive songs from other artists e.g Permission to dance was written by Ed Sheeran. He also gave them a song called "Make it right" and members added korean lyrics in it. Suga is one of their producers and they have other producers as well.
As far as permission to dance is concerned, permission to dance general concept is to enjoy by leaving the worries alone. Purple is a color that is used in our fandom and have a history. all balloon here give a message of hope and connectivity. removing the masks is the time in future where we will be free of this pandemic and give a view of future so we can be hopeful for better days. some dance parts also include sign language gestures making it easy for everyone to enjoy and follow along.

BTS members do write their own music, lyrics and produce their own music. Each of the members write stuff but the main 2 that write the bulk of the music is RM & Suga (both in the rap line) but even the ones who don't primarily write a lot of the songs have multiple copywrite credits. RM & Suga have way up in the hundreds of songs that they are credited for by the official copywriting organization in Korea for both writing and producing. They even do some of the directing of their own music videos (JK directed the MV for "Life goes on" and it is so good)...he is very into filming and editing video and does this on the side for himself but posts those under "Golden Closet Films" and has done several of these that he posted for us to enjoy. During pandemic they decided to put out pop songs to give people comfort. Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance are 3 songs, released as singles, in full english dedicated to reach and warm a large audience.
About lyrics they write 95% of them, Dynamite was an exception for example, since it is in full english and not too deep.
About producing, it depends on the song.
    - Their early albums 2013-2017 are mostly in-house produced by their label BIGHIT Music, among the producer team Pdogg is the main one, he trained them since pre-debut, he does mostly hip hop.
    - Since 2018 they increased calling for external producers to expand their music spectrum.
Among BTS performers, Suga and RM (rappers) take a huge part in producing too, since debut. The others learn to do so, and every year we see more of their tracks in the albums and also solo projects. "BE" is their last album, the most self-produced one.
    Hope I could help!

All of them compose and produce their own songs, several of them have their own studios to produce their music. Although the members of the rap line are the most experienced in this field, Being the three full members of the Korean Copyright Song Association, Rm for example has more than 180 songs under his name. One of them (Suga) was hired by his company at first as a music producer and then it was decided that he was going to be part of the band. Rm is usually the main songwriter and suga the main producer, but it doesn't mean that the rest of the members don't perform these tasks as well. They also have their solo mixtapes, which they write and produce. Their last album was self made and each member not only took part as composers and producers, but also as project manager, director of the music video, etc. They have been doing this since the band was formed in 2012 prior to their debut. Although they have also worked alongside other producers over the years, one of them being the CEO of their company. Permission to dance was co-written with Ed Sheeran, and Dynamite is one of the very few songs that was not written by them. Along with butter these three songs are dedicated to the american mainstream , but I recommend reacting to their other songs, whether they are singles or b-side songs. They are very talented and all-rounded artists.
This is the most "pop" you are going to hear from them, because they don't fit in any category, they have songs mainly of pop, hip hop, r&b and EDM, but they also have a do a lot of rock, reggaeton, dubstep, latin vibes, balads, jazz, etc. Whatever you want you can get with them.

How I look at it is BTS is reminding us to not give in to the situation we may be placed in (ie the pandemic) but to remember that we can take control of our lives. So in a sense, I see it as "we don't need permission to Dance" can be viewed as "we don't need permission to live, to be happy again, to have hope that this situation (covid) that keeps us apart and has brought sadness all over the world will be over. If you check the lyrics, " you don't need to worry, cause when we fall we know how to land" is my favorite line because yes, we may trip over obstacles in life but when you can land, you can also get back up again and keep moving forward. Life can go on and we can choose our way instead of let the events rule our lives.
The ballons would make more sense if you saw the trailer, in the newspaper one of the members was holding, the headline said "purple balloons signal the end of covid" something like that. That's why when the balloons were released in the MV it coincided with them removing their masks, so basically another form of imagery signaling the end of covid.
This is the song they performed after their speech at the UN General Assembly SDG moment. They were chosen as the representatives of the youth and appointed special envoys by their Gov too.
The members are very much involved in the creation of their music. The company does have in house producers, writers etc but BTS definitely is hands on in making their music currently their rapline has the most writing credits. Like they said "rappers have to write their own raps" you'll see this more on their more rap heavy songs because you'll see more clearly how BTS puts their lives into their music.
The past few songs you watched are pretty much part of the pandemic arc since these were all released (minus UGH) in response to the pandemic and to help fans cope through this rough time. Their album BE is also their thoughts on dealing with the pandemic. I highly suggest you guys check this out. You'll see that BTS really makes music about positivity in the face of various realities. Of course they also make fun hype songs haha
I recall one of you mentioned you're more into rock. Normally we recommend you listen to Dionysus but I heard this older song lately. I dunno if you'll like it but I think you might. It's called Ma City. And it's really great when they perform it live.
Anyways sorry this is so long. Thanks for the reaction!

BTS' MVs have a lot of Easter eggs of symbols like the balloons you noticed, purple is the color of BTS' fandom Army and represents the love that both BTS and Army have for each other. You will always hear/read "We purple you" or "Borahae" in Korean which means we love you, incorporating purple & love, with purple/violet being the last color in the rainbow so they mean that their love for Armys is everlasting.
They have in-house producers but there was a story that went around that says Ed Sheeran made this song for BTS but I'm not sure about this though. RM, the leader of BTS helped write the lyrics to the song to help Armys go through with the pandemic and feel hopeful. Towards the end of the song they incorporated the international sign language in their choreo for have fun, let's dance and peace much to the delight of hearing impaired Armys. That's how inclusive and loving BTS is to the Army and to humanity that's why many people become Armys bec of these guys' genuine, respectful and humble personalities that's missing in the entertainment world today.

The three rappers (RM, Suga, and J-Hope) are the members most involved with writing and producing BTS music, but all of the members contribute to it. Their label also has in house producers and writers, and they also are big parts of the process, especially their producer PDogg. For their recent English songs, they have gotten western writers and producers to participate, and they've collabed with all sorts of other people in the past too.

They just performed this for the UN General Assembly this past Summer. :) They are ALSO performing this tonight on James Corden. All seven of them have written and produced music for BTS. A few of the members have released solo mix tapes for free on SoundCloud. Suga actually won Producer of the Year for the song "Wine" by the artist Suran; he has also produced and featured on a song "8" by the artist IU. They DO have in house producers at HYBE that always work with BTS, but most of their songs have at least one of the members as a co-producer/writer. They will also hire producers and writers from all over the world because they appreciate talent :) "My Time" sung by Jungkook was produced by American producer Sleep Deez. Most of them can also play at least one instrument, including piano, guitar, drums, saxophone, trumpet... but those are hard to play while singing AND dancing, which they do for MOST of their performances. RM even cowrote the song "Lovesong" for their 'little brother' group TXT (Tomorrow by Together) from their company.

BTS mostly write their own songs but sometimes there are songs that they get from other artists such as Ed Sheeran and Troye Sivan but they still participate in the making of these songs by writing their own lyrics or changing and adopting some of the parts so it suits to some of the members such as the Rap Line, for example, the rap break in Butter was produced and added by the members themselves. They also work with some of the company producers such as Pdogg, Supreme boi, Hiss Noise, hitman bang, etc. Sometimes when a member works for making a song and has a little bit of a demo, other members make a song in their own style and at the end, the best version of the song gets chosen. For example, one time Jimin was working on a song and Rm also started working on the same song and at the end, the version that Rm made was chosen. There was not any conflict about this between the members because they themselves know which one is the best for the group and they don't take it personally. The same thing goes for the lyrics when they have a song, members write their own lyrics, the one who has written the best gets selected, and sometimes they just choose a few from different members and mix it.

Most of the songs are written in-house often by collaborations with several of them such Pdogg, "Hitman" Bang Si-Hyuk, Slow Rabbit, Adora... RM, Suga & J-hope also contribute alot, especially the rap portions. The other members have also been involved occasionally with songwriting and producing, especially their solos.
Pdogg produces most of their songs; some are done by Bang Si-Hyuk, Slow Rabbit and Supreme Boi; and BTS members do a few (mostly RM, Suga, & J-hope) Pdogg is considered one of the best producers in the industry btw.

They have a hand in producing almost every song they have ever sung from the very beginning of their career. RM does most of the lyrics and Suga does most of their sound. The do have an in house producer that has helped them along the way in engineering most of the electronic orchestration for their music. This song was written by Ed Sheeren and recently they have had collaborations with Cold Play "My Universe", Steve Aoki "MicDrop, Halsey "Boy With Love", Megan Thee Stallion "Butter", Lauv "Make it Right", but as for the songs they do on a regular basis, they write the lyrics, produce their music, come up with the choreography, direct their own photography, produce their albums. They have copyrights to all their own music. Each member has taken part in making their own individual music as well as music for the group.

Their other songs and albums deal with distinct themes like -
    1st 3 albums -2 COOL FOR SCHOOL
    O R U L8 2
    SKOOL LUV AFFAIR
these 3 deal with the harsh pressure pf the society on teenagers for their studies and careers. They discourage this system promoting thw fact that everyone should be given the chance to choose their own path and not follow the majority. As well as in the last album...teenage love too.

This actually represents BTS UNIVERS, this deals with the contrasting story of 7 boys who found themselves bonding over their love for music but due to harsh situations of lufe couldnt stay together.
Each of the member faces a stigma of the society...like abandonement, abuse, pressure of family and society etc.
It requires songs, MVs, Short stories , short films to make it into a cohesive story. It contains time travel too😅.
    WINGS, TOU NEVER WALK ALONE
this contains the theme of DEMIAN BY HERMAN HESSE, of adolescents losing their will to temptation. The temptations is sweet as well as dangerous which latches on to them and doesnt let go until one gives in. The most critical momemt for a youth.
    THE LOVE YOURSELF SERIES:
LY: HER- where love feels like a destiny , this love can be anything and not only romantic love , be it your passion, love for something.
LY: TEAR- this is where one realises that the love which makes you compromise and change yourself, is not a real love, its fake love.
    LY: ANSWER.
here we understand that to love others first one has to love themselves. If you dont love yourself you cannot love others. Embrace all your faults and misgivings and learn to appreciate everything you made of.
    MAP OF THE SOUL SERIES
Deals with the Jungian concept of PERSONA, SHADOW AND EGO
MOTS: PERSONA- the public persona of the group which is shown to the public. All happy and cheerful.
MOTS: 7 - the SHADOW and the EGO concept are reflected here. The real self which is hidden behind their persona. Where their are lights the shadows are greater too. The behind the scene where it is not too cheerful and happy. But they embrace their challenges which is ultimately their ego!!.

They performed this song at the United Nations & it was such a positive vibe. I think a lot of their song recently are trying to just keep things upbeat during the whole pandemic thing. Although they did Blue & Gray which is sooo deep but didn’t receive much focus. It was a painful song to listen to but in a healing way. It makes you think the pain of just living. That they get that.
