Traverse City's Cherry Festival is definitely one of the best festivals in all of Michigan that every Michigander should experience at least once in their lifetime. However, don't be afraid to visit Traverse City year around. It's actually the largest city in Michigan north of Grand Rapids and there you'll find beautiful beaches, pristine lakes, nearby Fishtown and Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, a booming food, brewery & winery scene, an awesome downtown, endless outdoor activities and much, much more!
