This is why many Michiganders never leave the state for vacation....you're never more than 6 miles from a lake no matter where you are in the state...and that sand...it's everywhere and just inches under the top soil in our yards.
Come back in winter to ski and snowboard...ice fish...hunt...
    Michigan has it all! 💙💙💙

My softball team went there last summer and it was awesome! If your up for the challenge and are physical fit I highly recommend going down the sand dune. It’s the most surreal feeling because the way day is surreal. We would simply take small jumps out and end up falling like 5 plus feet before landing on the ground again. The water at the bottom is so cool and refreshing and extremely clear. Once you cool off and get your views worth begin the climb back up. It took me and two others about 45 minutes to get back up with breaks. This is definitely a rare and awesome opportunity so if your ever in Traverse City, drink a lot of water and eat something good because you don’t want to miss out on this if possible! Beware those because it is wayyy bigger in person and even then it still seems to keep going as your climbing back up

Great info! Love the drone shot above the paddle board. The water is so clear it looks like your floating. You mentioned its hard to believe that something like this is in the midwest. It's called flyover land for a reason. So the "coasters" keep right on flying. Great lakes has the draw of the ocean, great roads and 4 seasons that give you 4 reasons to just keep going back.

I love the video. Never heard of you guys before. Thanks for sharing your trip. I live just a bit north of Traverse City, in Suttons Bay. Some things I would recommend is mentioning the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes are not in TC, they are in Glen Arbor. TC tends to take credit for the dunes(and even the cherries) as obviously its more well-known than the smaller surrounding towns. I say they take credit for the cherries as well simply because the majority of the Cherry Orchards are in Leelanau County and not in Grand Traverse County. As a local, and a Cherry Farmers wife, don't get me wrong TC is fantastic for the most part I just like to let people know the differences. :D

The view from the roof of Hotel Indigo is not of Lake Michigan. It’s of the Grand Traverse Bay which feeds into Lake Michigan.

Love to see you in Michigan. Traverse city is a must in Michigan. Always sleeping bear dunes is the best.

I usually rent a cabin in Wears Valley Tennessee near Pigeon Forge, TN. Saving that trip for Thanksgiving week. I’m here to learn what my State has to offer me and my 13 yr old son..
I’ve been here but I was only about 7-8 yrs old. Don’t remember much others than sand dunes

There was a murder suicide at hotel indigo this year and a homeless man had his throat slit by some kid who bragged about it on Snapchat after dumping his body in Boardman lake. There's also a huge heroin problem and a ton of human trafficking. I was born and raised there and finally got the Fuck out. Its not at all what it's made out to be but I'm glad you two were safe and had a good time. As an ex resident, it's beautiful and great for tourism but there's a lot of dark stuff to uncover.

Nice video! This is why I live here👍🏻 lots to do. Salmon fishing is one of my favorites, try looking at those dunes from Lake Michigan in the morning. Reeling in a large Coho or King is just icing on the cake, your day is instantly made awesome...

Careful drinking and biking, not sure how far apart you did those two activities, but technically drinking and biking is still a legal issue of some sort, I don't know the details but just make sure for future vids! Glad you enjoyed TC!

this is a great video, thanks for posting! I'm planning a trip there in a few weeks and will definitely be checking some of these spots out. I'm curious where you went paddleboarding (around the 9 min mark)? The water looks so clear--would love to check that spot out as well!
