Wow. Such busy radio traffic. Winter weather. I could not do what these people do everyday. Thanks for showing how skilled controllers and pilots really can be.
Landing an aircraft is one of the hardest parts of flying. Whether touchdown is at 50 knots or 150 knots the pilot must level off a few feet above a rapidly moving runway and lower the airplane gently to touch down. This is not easy! It takes a lot of practice to pull it off consistently. The reward is incredible.
With all the things pilots must do to land their aircraft, and then the constant chatter from ATC and keeping their ears open to respond to directions from ATC, and then post landing navigating around these huge airports, I have to say it takes a very special person, male or female, to be a pilot. Thanks for these cockpit videos.
Great approach and landing. I'm impressed that NY controllers speak relatively slowly to international traffic. That's hardly the case in the interior for domestic traffic.
Good video; Iberia fly Spain-NY for more sixty years, then Lockkeed L-1049 Superconstellation and me 1975-1981. Was a revolution in commercial aviation, being fitted with pressurised and air-conditioned cabins which permitted flights at high altitudes, and a high degree of passenger comfort. With these aircraft, Iberia inaugurated in 1954 its services to New York, naming them after Christopher Columbus´ fleet of ships. Its range was of 9400 kms. and the crusing speed was 565 kms. per hour, at an altitude of 7000 metres. After: DC-8/52 (1962-1971); SUPER DC-8/63 (1972-1981); BOEING 747 JUMBO JET (1982-2006) and AIRBUS series now.
Don't you think the A-340 is the actual son of both the Boeing 707 and the DC-8 ? Obviously the best looking airliner ever built for the last 40 years. Too bad it's not produced anymore (the last ones were made in 2011).
anybody else using these for covid19 stress relief...the news is becoming unbearable n extremely depressing...this is so relaxing...forget all my troubles.....
i love how ground control gives info and pilots acknowledge and dose exactly sounds so firm and cool....i wish i can become a pilot but to old..😉👏👏👍👍👌👌
This D is an Airbus item . The D is the recomended point to activate the approach on the MDCU. This activate the Manage modes for final . is dificult to explain if y don t work with Airbus MCDU
You've never been in Amsterdam then? If you're taking off runway 36L, you may start wondering if they are going to taxi the plane to your destination airport.
Neil Toombes , that's not totally accurate. That was a Jeppeson chart they were using on the iPad and you also can subscribe to Jeppeson regardless of working for a 121 carrier (airline). I'd suggest using Foreflight though, probably much cheaper and their charts are easier to use.

ATC at the beginning of the video has the coolest, and most stereotypical American radio voice I've heard.
spergin'
ATC busy today. It's great listening to ATC in these videos
Thank you for not putting music or something
I especially hate it when they use 80's porn music it ruins everything..
Wing-rockin' approach! Snow-covered surface and low flying clouds added to the show. Nice!
Gracias por compartir. No sois muchos de Iberia subiendo videos

It's level much sooner than a few feet above the ground.

David Barnett you can be that very special person too
Very quiet airliner, very pacefull and relaxing.
What a great video! I enjoyed the high quality!
Great approach and landing. I'm impressed that NY controllers speak relatively slowly to international traffic. That's hardly the case in the interior for domestic traffic.
Many thanks for the snowy but clear approach!
You pilots are absolutely wonderful!
What a beautiful bird. Let's enjoy it while it's not been replaced yet

I'd love to see a great video like this with a Canarsie approach.
I would love to be the captain flying this!
The A340-600 is such a beautiful bird!
Safe flights!
This is why pilots and ATC earn their nice paychecks, great communication and very professional.
Home pitch for the pilot. Smooth and fantastic landing...
Approaches to JFK are almost always my favorites.
i love how ground control gives info and pilots acknowledge and dose exactly sounds so firm and cool....i wish i can become a pilot but to old..😉👏👏👍👍👌👌
Can you imagine living in one of those houses inline with the runway? You'd have jets flying over your home endlessly.
This plane flies this approach daily. Iberia A340 over my home at 2500' nice vid. But they skipped the area over my neighborhood. Lol
Good Video And Very Nice Landing Thsnkyou So much For Uploading

Great shot!!
Iberia's landing. Always smooth and gently.
Magnifico!!! Gracias por tus vídeos, un saludo!
Is the automation at 2:37 saying "hundred above"? as in 100 feet above minimums?
Correct.

No way... That quality was amazing.
Popoche jl
How the hell is it so smooth and stable?
At 0:02 on the multi-function display, what is the track going up and right which seems to have the letter D in a circle superimposed on it?
This D is an Airbus item . The D is the recomended point to activate the approach on the MDCU. This activate the Manage modes for final . is dificult to explain if y don t work with Airbus MCDU
That is fairly clear thank you! I suppose the track itself is the base leg of the approach.
Very good video and views. Enjoy it!!!
That approach director really earns his money.
great video, would love the whole unedited approach /landing from 10000 ft.
anyone know why ATC would refer to the flight as "Iberia 6251" at 3:42 and the FO responds with "... Etihad 6251" at 3:49
Woohoo! Such a very smooth operator 🤗
Very difficult to land this longer aircraft A340-600 great Iberia pilots and wonderful coolder scenery
Superb videos
Excelente como siempre. Notable video. Saludos.

Blimey ATC was working overtime !
Very nice landing.
Notice ! 04:06 The Red light , For Preventing Runway Incursion by aircraft and blinks off after the Embraer Departs... Nice Video By the way
Nice looking windshield wiper
JFK, the longest taxi ever haha this was the first airport I went to, and the taxing took ages!
You've never been in Amsterdam then? If you're taking off runway 36L, you may start wondering if they are going to taxi the plane to your destination airport.
@theuglygnome lol, that was hilarious!
Josue Carias The first time I landed in jfk I didnt expected a 30 minutes taxi (Im from South america)
I like this video very much.
great vid
00:20 my neighborhood near the shore
The application on the ipad with the airfield data. is this generally available on the app store or is this a special app written for the airlines?
you can get the app but without the database is useless. Database is provided by the airline and updated every 28 days.
Heisenberg thankyou :-)
Neil Toombes , that's not totally accurate. That was a Jeppeson chart they were using on the iPad and you also can subscribe to Jeppeson regardless of working for a 121 carrier (airline). I'd suggest using Foreflight though, probably much cheaper and their charts are easier to use.
Sensational video!👍🏼

Flight from Madrid to New York
Saucy Gaming 2

Great video, felt real! (Weed didn't hurt)
Rober
pretty chaotic runway system to reach the gates
After watching this, I, who have no piloting skills, could land this behemoth. Not! Hats off to the pros who fly these airplanes.
they are doing 160 MPH 135 knots when they land . Doesnt look that fast in the video
That seems like a really short runway?!
*** GREAT PILOTS****
