I have scoliosis and myodil induced arachnoiditis, for years the pain was so bad I barely had any life at all. Over the last five years I have reduced the pain by eating beetroot, pomegranate and kiwi fruit, I also get most of my protein from nuts or beans. I follow a low fat diet and now exercise most days, life is great.

When I switched to a whole food plant based diet my arthritis nearly went away! In January when I fell off the diet it quickly came back. It may sound too good to be true but try if for three months and see.

An old time remedy for joint pain was to take sure jell in water. Sure jell is pectin. What are apple peels rich in?……pectin. In fact you can make your own pectin by boiling apple peels and cores in water and then use it to make jams and jellies.

The trouble is that people with fibromyalgia and other severe chronic ilnesses are often too debilitated by their symptoms to source and prepare the food needed to make positive dietary changes, so it becomes a catch 22 situation. Can't improve their condition without improving their diet, can't improve their diet without improving their condition.

      Hi!
How long have you been following Dr. Greger's daily dozen? Do you have a tablespoon of ground flaxseeds every day? 😊
It took me like 7 months to have a pain free period, I can feel something on the first 2 days, but i dont think about taking a painkiller at all. I also noticed it gets better after each month. I wish you experienced the same! ❤

Now the carnivore diet and the keto diet are in fashion. I don't know how healthy they are. There are people who say that the carnivore diet has restored their health. It is clear that not everyone can have the truth on their side. Either the carnivore diet is correct and the vegan diet is not, or the vegan diet is correct and the carnivore diet is not. They can't both be right. One of the two diets is true.

    • @ms-jl6dl

Not really, they help different people with different immune systems and different gut bacteria. Both diets change gut bacteria but stimulate growth of different ones - and those can be helpful.

You have to watch Dr Greger's views carefully as he often has a hidden agenda - (the old animal product and saturated fat, cholesterol outdated bs mantra (boring) and note the book he is releasing later this year) He finally touches on why meat may be carcinogenic - it's the same thing that renders any food carcinogenic - burnt food. And btw, fibromyalgia is not the same as Chronic pain - different mechanisms... I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia by a pain specialist (not curable according to the health experts) but after doing much research on the subject, over a one year period I got rid of about 95% of my chronic pain. PS, I did not go off meat to cure my chronic pain.
