At 10:48, when the song said “OHHH!” I said it at the same time out loud. 🤣🤣. That is one hell of a truck! I can not even begin to understand how much that truck takes! To be honest, you are one of the few channels I actually get excited when you post vids, and I actually watch to the very end with no skips! Glad Addicted2RC told me about you! 👍👍🤜🤜
What do u think about my transmitter problem ? Is it a problem? I am a newbie (greenhorn) and would love ur advice , the transmitter that comes with the rig really just immediately forces it to go forward I must keep pressure to apply the brake all the time to keep it from taking off uncontrollably. So that is why I use a rubber band to keep it in brake mode . Is my transmitter broken of does it need adjustment?
I'm a total newbie to the rc world. Would love to see a year down on this car as well as some upgrade ideas. I'm thinking better shocks and maybe a bit heavier wheels? As for the body, I've been hitting the local thrift stores and have bought about 20 rcs P.o.s.but the bodies are adaptable and I've never spent more than a few $ for one. Lots of little parts for the $2.
Thrift stores are great sources for those who are creative! Shocks are definitely a good upgrade - otherwise I would keep this stock and just keep having fun with it.
Bought the same car about a month ago. There is no reason the thing should run at all. I encountered the same thing. Body and wheels. Other than that. Simply incredible .
Awesome bash session, I can't believe that hosim handled that abuse. I took my granite (brushless converted) to a state park the other day and broke the rear bumper (already fixed). I need more practice before I attempt again as it can be very destructive if you don't know how to land flat.
Yes! Two things - 1 - landing on the wheels is VERY important. 2 - when you enter a skatepark, just know that it will cost $20. That is the rule at our house anyway. Bring the $20 with you and pay it as an entry fee! :)
@@RoadsideRC My trip was a little cheaper than $20 but I could see the next one being a bit higher. I really need to upgrade spur gear to metal, this plastic one won't handle the abuse.
I have seen this model take bashing after bashing by my friends son and nothing ever breaks, he brought it to a church picnic and everyone, including the adults, couldn’t charge the batteries fast enough for there turn 🤣 The Bezgar HM124 is also a great RC, except the wheel nuts constantly come off until you Locktite them👍👍
Awesome vid! Thinking of buying this even tough i have a e revo 1!16 vxl. Ive heard some hosim trucks ”brake” when you let go of the throttle and makes them hard to drive and especially jumps. Think its called drag brake? Does that happen with this car? also is it waterproof? :)
This truck does not have the strong drag brake that others do. It has always been great for me. I never got this truck fully wet, but it is been driven on wet surfaces and in snow without an issue - so at least mostly waterproof.
Ok thanks! Whats the runtime on the 3s battery and how many mah did you use? Im going to only uise 3s if i buy it and it wont burn the esc?@@RoadsideRC
I have the 9136 myself, just wondering if u had an issue with steering yet mine makes half a circle going straight then when I adjust trim it gets "squirrely"
@@RoadsideRC the canopy can be found for cheap in several online market places. it looks like a blast!!! wish I could find such a cool skate park around here. great video!
This thing is pretty much a MERV VXL killer. I've watched a LOT of videos about the 1/16 E-Revo VXL with it being my top prospect for a new RC purchase. This Hosim seems more stable and it takes a serious beating. I'd love to see a LiPo in it and better shocks.
@@RoadsideRC, yes the LiPo makes sense with it being 3S. I didn't even think that far because I was excited about finding a 1/16 E-Revo VXL killer. This went on an Amazon lightning deal today for 21 dollars off PLUS a 10 dollar coupon. For under $120, it will be at my door on Friday. I picked up a set of these shocks (they come in different colors even), www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZRDW35Q/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3KK1IUFBK5DES, and some 40 and 50 weight shock oil. Now to sort through some 2S and 3S LiPo batteries and hopefully find something in the stock battery compartment. I already have an ISDT 608AC LiPo charger.
When in the air: - Full throttle makes the truck lift the nose - Brake makes the truck drop the nose Approach the jump around 50% throttle, then when in the air - go full throttle. Let off the throttle at the right time to land evenly.
For most of this video, I was using the stock batteries it comes with. For running 3S, I was using a battery that didn't actually fit in the truck and was wedged in sideways. Can't really recommend it.
@@RoadsideRC mine came with 1000mah 25c and I want to put in a 5000mah 100c will it work. I put my 25c battery in my Hosim 9155 and it pretty much woke it up from slumber. Can I put a 100c in it
haiboxing also just came out with a 1/10 that is right at that $100 range also, but is brushed. What is your budget for the 1/10? Can you step up to something like the Arrma 3S lineup?
Quick question bro…. Is there something wrong with my transmitter or receiver? Details I own the 1:16 hosim q903 as u do and the transmitter when paired immediately the rig takes off in Mach 3 speed. I was forced to put a rubber band around the trigger to the rhino horn on top to create a “deadman shift” So ..essentially the transmitter must be forced into low mode not high because then it would just be ludicrous speed. I move the trigger forward twice as the manual states but never have the reverse gear. All in all it goes around blazing speed until my dog caught up with it and mauled the thin plastic car body (no worries got two more on the way) Do u know of an alternative transmitter to use that would be compatible and would pair with this rig with no problems???? If so , please help me Obi Wan your my only hope. Thanks and I will look out for ur suggestions. Great video btw!!!!!!!

Awesome video! What 3S battery did you find to fit in there - any modification needed? Am I crazy or is this basically the same chassis/drivetrain as the Hosim 9155 truck you reviewed last month but with a brushless set up? Oddly that one was listed at 1/12 scale versus 1/16, but they look like the same size in reality.
The 9155 was certainly bigger. That vehicle, brushless would be a hoot! I have a 3S 1500mah my son uses in his crawler. It didnt really fit honestly, it was wedged in on an angle and kept falling out. :)
@@RoadsideRC Ha! Awesome, appreciate the info, that sure looked like a lot of fun and I might still have to pick one of these up. The only downside is how much more annoying it is to wrench on anything smaller than 10th scale!
