Only low tier personas come from gacha, the better ones you obtain through fusion and battling them(which they may turn into a mask after you've finished fighting them)

Kind of a bummer they didn't use Joker's canon name Ren Amamiya in character gacha/menu. Though gameplay sense, the players name have to be made in the mainlines.

Ok this already puts a damper on my enjoyment. I don't mind gacha. I know it's a necessary evil when it comes to f2p games and there's no other way around it. That being said I hate that you have to pull for several different things. One thing I noticed in the gachas I play and have stuck with me is that they only make you pull for one thing and one thing only. Those being characters, some sort of weapon, skills or upgrade materials BUT NEVER for all of those at the same time.
From the looks of this the gacha it’s pretty similar to Genshin Impact in terms of 4* and 5* drop rates. The question is: how many pulls can you get daily?? I mean, without any One time reward or similar
You don't get pulls daily, you get the currency you buy pulls with. The amount is usually less than half of a pull, but the amount you get from events is usually more than enough for multiple pulls.

Pokémon Masters let’s you directly draw the featured unit after a certain number of pulls so while it takes a while to save up at least you have solace in knowing you’ll get who you want.

A question I have is if there’s some kind of benefit to pulling duplicate characters. I know that you get fusion material for pulling duplicate Personas, but what do you get for pulling a party member you already have? I dearly hope that it’s not the equivalent to pulling yet another 3-star Wrys in Fire Emblem Heroes
All characters have an Awareness Level that can only be improved by pulling duplicates of them. Each Awareness Level grants them new Traits which can improve their abilities, increase their power, improve their main Persona ability, and so on. Each character has 6 Awareness levels. If you get a duplicate of a character after you have maxed out their Awareness, then you get 300 Gems back(The equivalent of one summon).
I've been assuming they're going with the Genshin model. Dupes give some upgrades to the character, and you get a small rebate on the currency you've spent. It's a pretty standard setup, and I think they'll want to be extremely conservative with this game. Since it seems like they actually care enough to give it some personal oversight.

I think every gacha game has currency you can gain ingame but its usually not infinitely farmable. You either get it through recurring events (like dailies and weeklies), one time events (quests, chests, etc), or limited time events. or obviously you can just spend money
Judging by other gachas, it is most likely obtainable for free through story/events/dailies. In the case of gachas it is most of the time not a question of if you can obtain it, but rather how much do you obtain and how frequently can you pull
based on info i gathered and my exprience from playing gachas made by mihoyo (considering this game has alot in common with those) these currencies u can get buy paying but u get most of them through main story quest, daily quest, side quests and events. The conversion rate is not worth spending money (atleast not through the big currency bundles but through battle passes and monthly passes) so in order for a p2w player to be better than normal f2p players they need to spend a HUGE amount of money only to increase the gap by a little so u can rest assured that by grinding overtime u get alot more than just whaling and its not necessary hard to obtain, just require ur patience, dedication to the game and a little bit of luck

God almighty, I'm thankful I left Gacha's a long time ago I was interested in this because I heard "oh hey, new Persona game? Sick." and I had no idea it was a gacha. I'm thankful I didn't find it until this video, if I knew right out the gate it was just another gacha I'd have been unironically pissed.

Also I think the droprate is pretty bad, you get at least 1 4* every 10 pulls but as almost every gacha It looks like there will be copies so unless u get a lot of tickets you won't be able to build a "good" team
And not to mention it's has elements advantage system from p5r, a normal gacha game with elements system has at least 3-6 counter each others. But p5r had a freaking 10 elements, that's definitely a bait ask us pulling banner to get certains elements units

Akechi is playable, but he doesn't have a highlight attack in this beta, but so doesn't Noir. It's likely he'll get one as it seems they're giving all characters highlight attacks.
In gacha games, getting a duplicate character usually gives them a boost or upgrade. Sometimes it's a new passive, raising their max level or just a stat boost. To activate those you'll use the "tokens" you get when you get a dupe (see how whenever Faz gets a dupe character, an icon shows up on the left side of the screen). Those are usually limited to 6 to 8 duplicates, after which you normally get some kind of currency to buy more pulls, or it gets converted into upgrade materials as a "you got a bit unlucky getting a character you can't upgrade with dupes anymore" gift. For most people, getting dupes of 4 star characters is something that is done overtime, and dupes of 5 star characters are simply whale material, as most will struggle to get a single 5 star copy to begin with.
Imagine your playing persona 6 and its just like Nah you cant unlock this new party member. head to the banner and do a few hundred pulls good luck nerd lmao

Unit gacha mix with junk persona, especially 5 star unit super low rate pull it 3. Persona gacha, who know they will update new powerful persona that will adding unit pools or another separate banner By the way, according one of beta test gamer from Taiwan, this game also grind as hell for level up unit, grinding on mementos stage. Story mode will locked according to the gamer's level. If seriously want play this game, you need lots of time to grinding

Been watching live gameplay for a few days. Game has quite a bit new elements (new characters and maps) but player's strength heavily rely on gacha characters and weapons. Palace in p5x is very long, boring and repetitive, and obviously the story shares many similarities with p5 (of course). You can't customize your persona as freely as in the main game. Conclusion: just go play p5r again or wait for p3r.

Yeah the personas ( you can only get low tiers persona by gacha the high ones you can get them by fusing and fighting them just like in the main games) all go to the MC, and you get a character every 10 pulls

Kinda disappoint about the gacha system, we already have Genshin and Star Rail's annoying weapon unit mix gacha harder to get, and now they adding persona as gacha baiting us paying more money to pull it. Not to mention about requirement get more copies persona and unit for stats improvement to max
Well in this case weapons have their own gacha pool separate from this one if I remember right. So it's either characters or Personas

1. Weapon gacha, probably same function as Genshin for copies upgrade
2. Unit gacha mix with junk persona, especially 5 star unit super low rate pull it
3. Persona gacha, who know they will update new powerful persona that will adding unit pools or another separate banner
By the way, according one of beta test gamer from Taiwan, this game also grind as hell for level up unit, grinding on mementos stage. Story mode will locked according to the gamer's level. If seriously want play this game, you need lots of time to grinding
@@roguenoise2718 Or lots of patience and I've for plenty of that. Plus if it's even remotely like P5 gameplay, it won't bug me. I'm just glad weapons aren't in the same gacha as characters and Personas though. My girlfriend talked me into trying Genshin and my biggest annoyance is getting weapons over and over when I just want that one badass from the story!
@@connorharnage6697 man... how anyone willingly defends a gacha game is beyond me. the entire concept is so predatory both in theory and in practice from everything ive seen. im definitely not the target audience but I wonder how anyone at all is. "log in everyday to do the same daily quests over and over again. use said rewards from daily quests to do summons. even if you pull or don't pull the new character, you'll definitely have to spend real life money if you want to maximize them." doesn't help that in every case the majority of the game's profits come from those who willingly spend thousands of dollars on the game, which ends up with companies not caring a whole lot about people who don't spend a dime or even just a few dollars on it. idk tho I just find it baffling how gachas are so popular, you'd think it'd be a very unpopular genre that only even tried to appeal a very small portion of people
Been watching live gameplay for a few days. Game has quite a bit new elements (new characters and maps) but player's strength heavily rely on gacha characters and weapons. Palace in p5x is very long, boring and repetitive, and obviously the story shares many similarities with p5 (of course). You can't customize your persona as freely as in the main game. Conclusion: just go play p5r again or wait for p3r.

You don't charge ultimates in persona series tho which is a lot better than in star rail spamming only moves until you recharge for ult

Yeah the personas ( you can only get low tiers persona by gacha the high ones you can get them by fusing and fighting them just like in the main games) all go to the MC, and you get a character every 10 pulls

It probably will eventually, just might take a little bit like some other Gacha games.
How much did each persona cost? Traveling to Shibuya and anywhere is going cost a cent with autopay on our credit card 😆
