- Fallout 76 PTS - Do You Really Want A Quad Dragon?
With the changes to the legendary crafting system, The Dragon can now have the Quad legendary prefix. Do we really want this?

They probably will make it so that a Quad Dragon will reload all 4 rounds at the same time at some point in the future, and i might actually go for it if that's the case.
A quad black powder rifle would be so strongk with 1 reload = 4 shots. Its reload is quite fast in combat while jumping around.
since you can now put the exact legendary effect you want after getting the mod blue print or just keep rerolling until you get it, you can get about 4 quad dragons on your weapon wheel and you can kill everything, then reload.
@RossMalagarie ya ya kill everything then spend the next 10 minutes reloading for the next fight 😂
In original fallout 76 the quad BPRs were actually glitched and they had unlimited ammo, that’s why the perk was removed, they were cool, but broke way to fast
no ? they were ammo glitched using NW lasers
@@Empireoflegendsjointoday ??? I actually had a couple of them back in the day, and I never used NW lasers. They completely took out the quad dragons before the massive legacy deletion, then it’s injected counterparts which were a weapon called the pilgrim, then when all legacy weapons were nerfed then they took away the regular quad black powdered rifles, I know what I’m talking about
@@elionijames598 before they deleted legacies everyone was ammo glitch with NW lasers what your on about was the quad assaultron head that used to 1 tap the queen as you could load unlimited
ammo into that
@@Empireoflegendsjointoday I never used my weapons like that, wasn’t really into the community like that back in the day
Quick hands can reload all your shots instantly. I did a Black powder build with that perk and it did wonders for me
Definitely 👍🏿 trying that bro 😎 nice suggestion 🫡🪖💯👌
The fact people have to be told this. 💀 ggs bro
Is it 100% guaranties tho?
Quick hands % of triggering is so low, that perk is garbage
@@Mizoturionly if you use it for auto weapons lmao
For semi it almost always procs
From the creators of quad single action 😂🤣
I know its not a popular weapon but im a fan of the quad single action. :)
They should just have a LUCK card where single shot guns (in standard form) have 50% to 75% chance to reload automatically after a 30 seconds in the inventory. That would prevent exploits with fast swapping active weapons in combat but would help players with broadsiders, harpoon launchers, bows, crossbows, dragons, black powder weapons, m79 grenade launchers where the damage of a single shot isn't usually enough for an event. (it would also buff Fat Man but I don't think that would make much of a difference as reloading a fat man normally would be superior than waiting anyway)
The chance to reload automatically also prevents players from swapping to a previously used gun before 30 seconds have passed as it would reset that weapon's timer, and it would create a unique build where the entire weapon wheel would be used.
None if those weapons besides black powder take long to reload anyway
I disagree slightly, they should have a faster reload perk for all non auto weapons instead
3* Quick Hands (Luck Perk): "gain 18% chance to instantly reload when empty"
it's not much, but, maybe there are ways to boost it more.
@@beastabuelos6421 the point is making them viable to be used with a larger degree of frequency.
@@NoiDGamer That would buff all weapons, everyone with railway rifles being able to shoot 80 rounds with a 18% chance is already bad enough.
A weapon wheel full of quad dragons would get you through 99% of all situations.
Until you spend 15 minutes reloading all your dragons
@@OnlineHipHopTV Something to do while waiting for event timers etc.
@@OnlineHipHopTV after all the fighting is done and you are walking picking up stuff
As does 1 Bl expl. Fixer
Or a good railway rifle
As someone who did level 1 to level 50 as a rifle and pistol build. I would totally do this build despite the long reload. It would be silly but strong.
I would have at least 4 quad dragons in my weapon wheel and you can take out 99% of most situations. And if you find you need more add another quad dragon to your wheel. Now with individual legendary effect crafting, it takes a while but you can actually craft all 3 effects you want on each gun and armor.
Definitely Quad Dragon as the opener and switch to another Quad Dragon if there are survivors.
it would be nice for all the black powder guns to get a possible unique legendary effect that just makes reloading them a ton less painful, i like the weapons and would use them more if there were a legendary effect that gave it 60% faster reload speed instead of the normal 15%
it should reload all 4 at once. If you can load 1k rounds into a 50 cal and load it all at once i dont see why this wouldnt. Im sure they'll change/fix it.
I did it without any perks or mutations, and it takes almost a whole minute for all 4 rounds. I was mashing reload, so there should have been 0 downtime between reloads.
Wiggle! Check if there is a quad Nuka-Quantum Thirst zapper for me!
I have a quad, explo, reload single action revolver and it's reload takes 23secs from empty lol. Oddly enough it still makes the gum feel way better to use than just 6 bullets.
Think i like this approach to the single fire weapons. Cumbersome, yes, but still makes sense somehow. Usually these weapons are quite strong so some drawback should be there for sure.
*Assembles army of English kerniggigits*
"Get on with it!!!!!"
Faster Fire Rate actually equates to faster reload time for Black Powder weapons.
Fasrter reload does very little because the animation is so long in general.
The use case would be something like a familiar situation such as a daily quest, where you know what you are going to face, know that those four shots will do the job. And then preferably to have an anticipated forced waiting time or a stretch of running, where you can reload without having to stop only to reload.
I found myself a quad double barrels with explosive rounds and chance to go invisible when dealing damage. Its so much fun to unload 8 shots that fast
Good stuff on survival and shooting. But what about other possible sports in Fallout 76? Can we get some swimming races going on, or some diving competition? What about archery contests?
Now if they just added the " never ending " effect from 4
I think having multiple of them all 90 reduced weight you could just switch instead of reloading then after combat just reload em all
If you drop an empty weapon and pick it back up, it gets reloaded. That might be quicker
I didn't know that was a thing. With the new crafting system, custom stuff won't be droppable.
@wiggle_plays aaaah right. It's gonna take me some time to get used to that. Alternatively, you can stash and remove. Has the same effect
Has to be a bug, otherwise this is useless. Also Mirelurk Queen weakspot is not the head, it is the legs.
Learn something new everyday.
I need that, its almost as bad as a quad single action but at least it hits hard.
You can crit every other shot with 23 luck and 15% faster crits on the third star. But this extra luck bonus on armor ooens up a lot of possibilities for full health weapon choices for sure. I'd much rather have 25 LVC than 15c.
this is the same issue the Quad Lever Action has. i play with lever actions and was waiting to come across a quad and thought it would be cool. turns out, its pretty stupid to sit there reloading 20 bullets one by one, and you're better off getting a damage buff as your first star such as Anti-armor or Executioners. quad sounds like a good idea on these weapons, but its pretty dopey
Great video! I don't think I have the patience to play that rifle. 😆 One day I am going to get lucky and find that outfit.
I’m so happy they’re finally doing this; genuinely ecstatic
What is the name of the Red backpack you have on in this video??? I have been trying to find this thing forever !!! Thank you for the help!
I wonder how faster fire rate would do on a quad. If you want to buff your luck another way, you can seared venison with berries. It needs 2 purified water, 2 pepper, 3 radstag meat (i get it at dent and sons construction and behind the whitespring) and starlight berries (plenty of them in the deep). Gives 7.5 luck with carnivore while on a team for and hour and a half
i commented this on a video a while back, idk if it was this channel. but OMG i’ve wanted this for so long! i have a crazy black powder rifle build and this is gonna make it so much better
Pointlesss when a quad explosive railway with demo max perk stats show 220 per shot. With sneak perks, vats perks and critical shots it’s 1.4K per shot and the capacity is 40. Fast as hell.
Public events can be a flashfest of Nuke Launchers and Cremators as it is, this is essentially bringing back legacies, so everyone will be one shotting enemies and bosses will last seconds... absolutely pointless
if this comes to the base game i will transform my legacy dragon to quad
Was thinking exactly this, but you just have roll it over and over, to keep it tradeable.
@@jeffreypeterson8386 thats fine i am not trading it
we should suggest beth that they make a different quad with like with 25% reload speed for all single shoot weapons. because of the "balance"
This remind me of reloading the 1st generation quad single action revolver.
Considering it was a single shot I was hoping it would fire all rounds all at once, striking 16 times lol
Hell yes. I dont mind reloading them.
Bethesda really loves adding 'realism' in the most pointless places. We have people flying around in jetpacks with a ship cannon in hand but apparentally a black powder gun that can reload 4 shots at once is just too much for this totally grounded wasteland survival simulator
well at least they removed the reload penalty
The 30% reload debuff will make the pump shotgun take an eternity to reload even with the speed demon serum.
None of the other quad weapons require you to reload it 4 times this has to be a bug
The crossbow worked that way too.
Ah yes,
Bethesda game stealth archer/sniper: the gun.
I have a Instigating, Crit Damage, Reload The Dragon. I also have my legacy The Dragon, Bloodied + Crit Damage + Reload, sadly it's Lv35.
He forgot to mention speed demon and strange in numbers
The moral quandry to make a quad BP rifle, or a quad dragon. Which would you use?
I will absolutely do a Quad Broadsider tho :D
Probably both.
@@ramethzer0YT quad broadsider holds 6 shots with the increased ammo mod and with 25 ffr its incredibly fun.
Quad dragon needs to reload 1 time all 4 bullets!
I have 2 legacy bloodied explosive dragons with 419 range, could I make those quad next update?
You should be able to.
I mostly melee, but when I shoot I use The Dragon.
I like the power against mobs and ability to hit bosses at range.
Instead of a Quad, I'd prefer a much shorter reload time. (Like 1-2 seconds)
Or to have slug rounds in a Quad Barrel shotgun.
Basically I want a break-action Dragon that reloads with shells, rather than a muzzle loader.
I know that kind of kills the fact that it's a Muzzle loader but it's also why muzze loaders got phased out.
Even if it was a craftable (receiver) mod that came with some drawbacks like shorter range or something that's fine.
Either that or just make the slug receiver and quad barrels for the double barrel shotgun, and then I can make it mysef.
quad bow next
Wait, ground pounder works on any rifle??? I thought it was just full autos?
It used to be that way but it was changed to work on all rifles quite a while ago.
@@wiggle_plays This is actually amazing!
Hilarious ty sir.
God damn it, why did they go half way with this?! Reloading is SO long anyway, one time reload should fill all 4.
Did you try this with quick hands perk?
It's a bummer for me 😢 I thought it'd be one animation for all 4 rounds. Not good 😐
The explosive star still available for energy weapons after today's patch?
Some. There were some changes. I haven't had a chance to check them all yet. Flamer and plasma flamer can no longer have it. Plasma guns without the flamer barrel can.
What about un equip then equip the dragon? Shouldn’t that reload the gun?
Hey, quick question from someone who can't use pts. Is explosive available on Harpoons again?
I haven't had a chance to check that weapon yet.
Legacy quad dragon be fun
Can you try quad explosive broadsider or harpoon gun please? I have one pirate build that will be a lot more fun I think
Sold one of those last week kinda kicking myself for that 😂
POW,pow,pow,pow…break! @#$&$#@!
IDK man, I can't ever see a dragon build working in any kind of enjoyable way. The reload is sooooooo tedious, and there is hardly any mods for the black powder guns.
Would quick hands be good?
Doesn't work on black powder weapons.
Quad is not part if the game? Bro, I found a quad pepper shaker a few days ago. Although I did scrap it for scrips.
Quad bows?
Sort of. I rolled a quad but it didn't do anything. No idea if it's supposed to work or if it will get removed.
I wonder why they decided to make all these weapons so unrealistically over sized lol
Is Quad explo harpoon gun/pepper shaker a thing in pts
Pepper Shaker is. Not sure about harpoon gun.
@@wiggle_plays thx
as the founding fathers intended
The only thing I dont like is the long reload!
I want it
Does the public test server share th same progress as the normal f76 servers ?
Nope. Nothing on the PTS counts.
@@wiggle_plays alr thx
Ummm... I legit scrapped a quad dragon like 2 weeks ago on main
Try the perk card that auto Reloads 😂
There is no more legacy dragon drop, so no.
Disappointing that it still reloading each shot at a time.
🎉🎉🎉yes
I want my bayonet back!!!
No thank you
Pts didn’t help that range
Man I hate the 3rd person perspective so much
To be true: No! I'm into a black powder rifle.... (sights)
Eww who wishes dragon. Horrible weapon.
~350-500dmg on a crit?? My plasma caster crits for over 1200 on super mutants and is exponentially faster. I’m failing to see the benefits of this
I feel like these videos are all kind of useless since none of these changes are confirmed. Half the things discussed couldve been turned on by accident and there's 0 intention of adding it to the game.
