When this Rain Stops is about her experience after her heartbreaking accident and how she have grown and learn many things while she is recovering from her injury. Despite the tragedy, she learns to appreciate that that happen purposely for her to see some and do things she wasn't able to do while actively working. The song was also to comfort other people experiencing the same down moments she had. If you saw the end credits it was titled "Wendy's Rain Stops". I know you'll get the meaning behind it. That whole album was the best thing in my life.
Yeri wrote and composed Dear Diary by herself 🥺 It's a song about turning 20 about her worries and so on during that time

The POV shot in Naughty was done by having the choreographer holding a camera in her mouth with a special mount to get it. Wendy just recently did a duet with a Male Korean singer Tae Jin Son. The song is called called 'Be Deep'. Amazing vocals in that as well!!!!

Dear Diary is written by Yeri as a message for her 20 year old self.
When This Rain stops, told you rj, when this rain stops hits different! No wonder it is voted for many artist as their healing song, everything about it is just so beautifil and comforting, even NCT Doyoung loves this song and sang it in his live. Also Irene said she loves this song. And of course, the fandom loves this so much because this is a message for her fans who waited for her for almost 2 years recovering from her accident and also a message to herself for being so strong. The songs in this album is really amazing because most of it is a message to reveluvs. Im still sad she didnt had any music show wins 😭.
Anyways, thank you again for reacting to them, next up react to irene and seulgi episode 3 and 4 and also to wendy's Why Can't You Love Me live band performance, and also 'little match girl' with Baek A Yeon (the mv features Jaehyun from NCT) / her song with the John Legend 'written in the stars' . 1) If it makes you feel better, I'm pretty sure everyone had that same reaction to the opening scene of Naughty.
2) Maybe I'm a little dramatic, but I legit can't listen to anything from Wendy's solo album without crying. I was okay after listening to Like Water the first time...then I read her reasons for making the album with all of the emotion she put into it and gratitude towards everyone that believed in her while she was most vulnerable. The lyrics to When This Rain Stops already hit me hard, but with Wendy's voice singing those lyrics, I can't keep it together.
I am the same. just tears. I might make it through why can't you just love me and Best Friend from time to time but even those get me hahaha

Since no one is recommending The Little Match girl by Wendy and Baek A Yeon, I'll recommend it. It's beautiful but so underrated

someone correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I remember it took them 5 months to learn the whole thing for "Naughty", tutting is really hard, it's one of the best choreos in my opinion
edit: Wendy posted the behind the recording for both of her solos and there's also the same for Queendom, i highly recommend both (after you watch the MV), their voices are AMAZING
I have always heard it was four months but as long as they were able to pull that choreo off was all that matters in the end.

Hope you can react to the rest of the Like Water album. It has an RNB song called Why Cant You Love Me that I think you might like. There's also a collab with Seulgi there called Bestfriend. The song "The Road" also have some powerful and beautiful vocals.

And "Naughty" was choreo of the year, the awards shows were drunk.
Yeri's video always makes me chuckle... even while she's sitting there looking incredibly adorable, it's still nigh-impossible for her to keep that "I'm up to no good" mischievous smile off her face.
Well, the award shows give the choreo based on the 'catchiness' of the choreo apparently (like how viral it went and how well known it is) and not based on the intricacy of the choreo, which is really unfair and sad in reality.
I mean MAMA 2021 was even worse 😂 ... They chose best dancer female category based on the digitals sales and MV views 😭 ... Like WHAT ??

You picked some great stuff to react to. I also was "stunned" by Wendy's "When This Rain Stops." Goes right to the heart.
It's fine if you don't have much of a reaction because even from your facial expression I can see you're enjoying the song. I prefer it that way because I believe that is a natural reaction and not like some of other youtube reactors who sometimes always overreact which makes me feel like they are faking it.

Hard agree on "When This Rain Stops" and how it gut punches you vocally and emotionally-no lie it's my personal favorite release of 2021 from all of kpop.
For context, "Dear Diary" was self-written and self-composed by Yeri and it's original title was "To My Twenties", a letter of sorts from Yeri to her near-future self at the time.
I supremely recommend checking out the rest of Wendy's Like Water album, even if just on your own. Video-wise there is a live performance of "Why Can't You Love Me" on Mdromeda which is stellar!
From Joy's Hello album, video-wise I recommend her live-videos of "Je T'aime" and "Happy Birthday To You".
When This Rain Stops is the best song of 2021 and no one can convince me otherwise. I literally have played it multiple times every day since its release 🤣🤣🤣
