“When This Rain Stops” is for Wendy herself. She came from a horrible accident last 2019 after “Psycho” was released and came back with this and “Like Water”. At the end of the video, exactly where you paused, the title is changed to “Wendy’s Rain Stops” (which rhymes to the title “When This Rain Stop”), indicating that her suffering stopped with this comeback. We all love Wendy. 💙

Considering what happened to her and what she had to deal with, this one is REALLY an emotional thing for her to write. She is AMAZING and she is my personal hero for being able to make that comeback! LUV her!

When I remember everything she’s gone through and how she overcome all of it, it just makes me live her even more.
You guys probably don’t know but in December 2019, Wendy suffered a pretty bad accident during a rehearsal for a TV presentation. She literally fell from the stars because it was dark and she couldn’t see properly. She broke her hip bone, her cheek bone, her wrist and stayed almost a year at the hospital to recover everything. Some people thought she would not be able to dance again due to how big her injuries were
It wasn't just because it was dark. She was supposed step down onto some stairs. During that rehearsal, they were not in the correct place. There was a list of other safety precautions, or lack thereof, that caused her accident. Don't forget they had to wire her mouth shut for part of the recovery. Like, fuck. That had to hit her so hard.
Yeah, it wasn't dark. The stairs were not there when they were supposed to be there. And that caused her to fall from the stage. Later the award organizer just apologized for it.

Idk if you know this info but Wendy had a really bad accident (during rehearsals she fell off a high stage) in 2020 like she fractured her pelvis, jaw and cheek bone. Her whole career was at stake and this song was a way of healing to herself as much as it's for us.
