Welcome to the beautiful country of Sri Lanka! If you enjoy small hikes, I recommend visiting Pidurangala, a great place for a short hike. There are plenty of similar hiking spots in the area that you might be interested in exploring. In the Polonnaruwa region, you can check out Danigala, Manigala, and Dimbulagala. In the eastern area, there are places like Walimba Hela, Thoppigala, and Nuwaragala. These places are not yet popular among tourists, offering you a chance to discover hidden gems.
Additionally, in the Knuckles Mountain range, there is a hidden waterfall tucked away in the jungle called Duvili Alla. It's like a nature trail where you can experience the untouched beauty of Sri Lanka. These areas provide an opportunity to witness the true natural splendor of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka has so many beautiful places to visit. If you like to mountain side with waterfalls Mandaramnuwara, Reverston, Nuwaraeliya, Moon plains, Hoeton plains Piduruthalagala (highest mountain of Sri lanka) Deniyaya, are very nice beautiful places.
This definitely is the best Vlog of Sigiriya of the all the bloggers I follow.. Bravo!!
Sigiriya made by "mayadhana" father in law of emperor "RAWANA" real palace is inside the sigitiya rock.The entrance to the inner palace was closed by the British archaeologists and the antiquities inside were looted by them.And the lift called(karkataka yanthraya) that was built to climb the rock was also taken away by them, but the road made as a tool to lift the machine up can still be seen.

I climbed sigiriya rock in January 2019. I also saw the pidurangala rock, but i couldn't climb it, but that day was really amazing!!😎 . I even had a water bath in Kandalama tank, which is located few kilometres away from sigiriya rock. Anyway, Danny ,i think you had a good trip in here!😊. And thanks for visiting 🇱🇰 ❤❤.

Sigiriya rock is known as the eighth wonder of world. So if you decide to visit Sri Lanka again do consider to hike the Sigiriya rock. It totally worth it...

When faced with a monkey trying to attack you, it's important not to run away. If they sense your fear, they may become more aggressive and attempt to attack or bite you. However, if you remain calm and show no fear, they are less likely to attack. Monkeys are also a part of nature, even though they can be a significant issue in Sri Lanka.

Temple tree monkeys are very smart. The love human stuff.
You need to be extra vigilant with monkeys because they always eye to snatch something out of you. Even a small camera (without the tri pod) can end up in their hands. I experienced this in Dambulla temple.

Yes. You need permission from the police I guess. You are not allowed to fly them in restricted areas.
