I'm on an Evelina marathon today and i really took this advice from the moment it was posted. I don't have a lot of clothes, well because I'm a broke teenager (haha), and most of my clothes are cheap and from some of my mom's closet. I invest on expensive stuff now and then, but you taught me a lot about everyday fashion. I only buy (/ borrow) clothes if I really like them. But what makes me wear it more than once is the way the clothes are being styled. Mismatching outfits goes a long way because of different combinations. Thank you Evalina! Your videos are really helpful and well structured. I've been complemented on what I wear and I only have 2 favorite shirts that I often wear.
i feel like a fashion sense is not something that can be learned. it's just if you have it or not. just the way you can teach a person to draw but you can't give them creativity. it has to come innately.
There's also a line between wearing what you like and looking socially acceptable. If people who see you tell you you dress inappropriately and then you hear someone who doesn't see you say you should wear what makes you feel good, you gotta have some common sense and find a median rather than listening to either/or.

I recommend #1 or #3 - I think the shape and styles fit you the best in size. I am also a stylist, and have worked as an eyeglass fitting specialist in the past. Love your videos!
don't wait for that to happen bc chances are, it won't. look for inspiration and read fashion blogs like whowhatwear and glamour.com, and peoplestylewatch. you'll see things you like, save them to your computer or smartphone, analyze what makes you like these outfits and what category do they fall into. are you classic, funky, or trendy? once you do it's gonna be really easy to decide for yourself and you'll find your fashion sense. hope that helps.

I actually commented on your 'Reinvent Your Look' video for you to make a video like this and I don't know if you saw it but I'm really happy you did it. Normally fashion advice videos don't help me much, but yours really did, you're different from everyone else, you know exactly what to say. I'm starting to change my style into what I really want to wear regardless of what other people say/think and I will follow all your advice, so a big thanks to you for this.
Lately I've been inspired by the concept of the Capsule Wardrobe and have gotten rid of a ton of clothes and shoes. It's helped TREMENDOUSLY to define my fashion sense- that is, what I like to wear, as opposed to what I just like. (which is pretty much everything) I'm getting rid of all of the "just like" and keeping only what I actually wear. After this process of elimination my closet screams my style! Plus, it's much easier to put outfits together.

these are great tips! i have a corporate job and it's very difficult during the week - i definitely do not feel like myself. i also walk a lot so i'm almost always in flats but if it were comfortable/practical, i'd wear heels 24/7.
Well said Evelina!! I can not stand the restriction . I always dress according to how I dress. If one should ask what's my fashion sense I couldn't answer that with a specific answer because it all depends on my mood for that day.

Thank you for this. Loved it! I get a lot of judgement because I'm a rocker but I still dress the way I want to, even if someone else doesn't like it. A lot of people are afraid to dress differently or wear what they want to wear because they're afraid of what people will think. I say go for it of course! I think it's so important to do what makes you happy and not someone else.
