- Today I am driving two coupled SLT train sets. I came from Amsterdam with this without passengers. That's because at Amsterdam there was a problem with the doors: after closing, the train continued to refuse to leave its place. It was necessary to restart the train. All in all it took so much time that we were discontinued as a passenger train. In the meantime I should have already been in Hoorn from where I would drive back to Amsterdam. This ride now starts in Alkmaar. Enjoy watching!

Ik rijd vandaag met twee treinstellen van het type SLT. Ik was hiermee vanuit Amsterdam gekomen zonder passagiers. Dat komt omdat er daar in Amsterdam een probleem was met de deuren: na het sluiten bleef de trein weigeren van zijn plek te komen. Het was noodzakelijk om de trein opnieuw op te starten. Alles bij elkaar kostte dat zoveel tijd dat we we als reizigerstrein werden opgeheven. Ondertussen had ik al in Hoorn moeten zijn vanwaar ik weer richting Amsterdam zou rijden. Deze rit start nu dus in Alkmaar. Veel kijkplezier!

0:33 this is an indication to see how dirty the train is. When the "dirtyness-level" reaches below 5 (in red) the train will have to be washed.

Quick question: How is that indicator does not get dirty? Since the train gets dirty and changes color by that, how the indicator remains the same?
Why the levels 1 through 4 when it had to be washed at 5 anyways?
@@PeppieproGamez Indeed it is an indication how dirty the train is. But why? This was part of a test with special coatings on parts of the train, to measure its effect. We were informed about this test, but unfortunately I never heard anything about the results.

Wederom een prachtige video met mooie avond luchten. Gelukkig had jij de gang er na de stop in Driehuis nog niet in, want dat ree op 35:27 heeft de rust weg! Gelukkig was het een SLT, echter bij een snelle trein zonder stop was het voor dat dier goed mis gegaan!
😅na Uitgeest de lange bocht naar rechts zat vroeger een skelter/cart baan,heb er nog gereden met snelheden van 130 kmph.🤣
Geweldige video weer! Mij viel op (naast het reetje) op station Santpoort Noord: een v-sein met afteller, waarbij als die op 0 sec is, het nog een paar seconden duurt voordat het sein op groen gaat en een bakbord met nr 7 erop. Nog niet eerder gezien, oneven bakbordnummer! Apropos bakborden, je meldde aan de verkeersleiding dat je 8 bakken hebt, maar op Amsterdam Sloterdijk stopte je bij bakboord nr 6...?

Did I see uncontrolled crossings at 03:56 and 04:12 and 14:11? Are there tunnels in that bridge at 09:06? Why only signals at the right side and not on the left at 09:56? A platformextension that travellers are not allowed to use at 15:37? An intercity on a (mostly) sprinterroute at 23:54? Shopping carts not allowed on the platforms at 26:29 (sign on the right) Oh dear, a deer at 35:30... Right at 35:40 former connecting line from IJmuiden. 36:50 Counting from 14 to 0 because of....? 38:00 Right: former connecting line from Beverwijk before the tunnel. Er is geen HDR nodig om het prachtige werk van onze vriend te waarderen
Maar de instelling die Gopro lijkt is niet goed: wolken zijn overbelicht (je moet van -1 tot -1,5 EV onderbelichten voor het landschap, en het ziet eruit als een Instagram-profiel (bij Gopro is alleen het platte profiel goed, de het ergste van alles is het "natuurlijke kleur"-profiel van de Gopro10 of slimaire)
Ik heb pas een nieuwe Philips 55OLED708/12 oled televisie en het beeld van deze video is messcherp en heeft prachtige hdr kleuren :)

It tells us about the situation ahead, which trains, if they have a delay. Useful info for the driver to avoid having to halt for a red signal and understand situations so there is no need to contact the dispatcher.

"normering" translates to "Standardization", more or less, if Giggle er Google is correct. It is situated on the side of the train in a light colored patch. Therefore it might be a thoughtful tool for photographers to set their gray scales.... But, that seems silly, really. It clearly likes colors 8, 9, and 10; it takes warning with colors 5, 6; and, finally it really seems to dislike colors 1 through 4. It is obviously a test; but, it is an expedient test not a really accurate test as dirt will overlay the standardized color swatches making them darker, too. That is why there is not much difference between the side of the train and both patches 9 and 10. Dollars to donuts the train driver is supposed to notice where the patches match the train and report the loest number patch that can be distinguished. If it gets too dirty and a train swap can be arranged and the fairy godmother is present in her department that day a swap will be arranged so that NS can maintain the fiction that railroading is not a dirty job.

Goedemiddag, klein vraagje u rijdt met 8 bakken maar stopt vaak bij het bordje met 6. Is dat toevallig? Fijne dag verder
Geven die knipperende nummer signalen niet aan waar te stoppen?
De bakken van sprinters zijn wat korter dan die van de intercity's. Machinisten stoppen daarom vaak eerder dan de borden aangeven zodat ze wat beter langs het perron staan.

This seems to be the Gopro profile: you should use the flat profile if possible, especially not GoPro color or "natural color" and above all... above all, set the exposure correction to -1 or -1.5 because the clouds are a bit burnt, and I don't think that playing the HDR version on youtube will save this video... it's the fault of the "gopro" profile (or similar, sometimes some smartphones with HDR function?!)

Problems are the big differences between monitors, personal taste, but above all, UA-cam's re-rendering of videos. I am working on a correction to counter UA-cam's quality loss, but it has to be a compromise between UA-cam's SDR and HDR renders. SDR has a green color cast, HDR mahenta. Beside all this there is the limiting factor of this long one shot video which makes it impossible to get every frame perfect.
@@CabviewHolland What works with Gopro is the low sharpness flat color profile and a full 8-bit import (YUVJ and not YUV) with the sharpening in post-production which erases the color bands of this YUVJ to YUV conversion: no band of colors in the sky. With the Gopro7 I have a slight gamma to correct on the green, not with the Gopro8. My monitor is a TV, and the best films or reports with a professional camera correspond to the screen, with the flat profile Gopro, especially the 7 which is the best on this point, it is even accurate enough to find the painting references of the houses in comparison with the catalog next to the screen in daylight overcast sky.
The Gopros, from the 8 onwards, followed the Instagram fashion. My gopro8 was saved by a downgrade to the first firmware, the new gopros are lousy, the stabilization too... A professional photographer friend is looking for a decent camera, he misses the gopro7, we're going to fall back on insta or dji osmo.

Hallo collega, leuk dat je deze vraag in mijn taal stelt! We gebruiken de tyfoon alleen ter afwending van gevaar. Het is niet vereist om bij elke overweg te toeteren.
@@CabviewHolland And somehow you don't seem to have any more collisions than we do here in the US or apparently in Australia with all the honking, bells, whistles, and whatnot. At least it doesn't seem to be a big political issue that would allow politicians to pretend they are doing some good with ever increasing safety initiatives that if anything make life more dangerous as people start ignoring the older safety measures.

Op hoeveel type materieel is een machinist getraind/ bevoegd?
Verschilt per standplaats denk ik. Voor de meeste standplaatsen zal het wel in ieder geval VIRM, ICM, DDZ, SNG en SLT zijn terwijl dat met FLIRT waarschijnlijk slechts op enkele standplaatsen zal zijn.
Op zoveel als nodig om volledig inzetbaar te zijn. Er is iig geen maximum voor het aantal type materieel waar je voor bevoegd kan zijn. Je moet wel voor elk type materieel materieelinstructie krijgen. Vervolgens moet je minimaal 1x per 12 maanden op elk type materieel rijden wat op je aanvullend bevoegdheids bewijs staat om de bevoegdheid voor dat type materieel te behouden en 1x in de 3 jaar moet je herinstructie krijgen.
Ik vind het niet erg, een upload in de ochtend!

Ja, 60fps vereist meer van de machine die het afspeelt. Werkt het beter als je een lagere resolutie kiest?
@@CabviewHolland 😅op 144p wel,maar lang niet zo scherp beeld.bij mij staat alles optimaal. heb nog een web snelheidstest gedaan,er kwam een storing van de kpn naar boven,storing in de verbinding,er gaat een gratis monteur komen,ik houd je op de hoogte Vincent.fijne dag nog verders.greetz:Peer.
@@MrPeerum Mooi. Ik test op alle beschikbare browsers, telefoons en tablets. Zolang de internetverbinding goed is loopt het soepel, met maar een enkel hikje. Ik blijf zeer waarschijnlijk wel op 60fps filmen nu, want het ziet er toch wel wat vloeiender uit dan 30fps. Hopelijk wordt het beter als de monteur is geweest.

Waaay too much HDR. 🤨
Can you be more specific? Color? Exposure? Saturation? What device/monitor are you watching? The looks vary greatly between displays, and youtube’s re-rendering of hdr and to sdr is not the best quality - hate that. I am still working on a correction to correct the youtube quality, but this is very difficult as lighting conditions are changing constantly in my videos.
@@CabviewHolland The contrast seems too high. I watch UA-cam on a 4K 55" TV (upscaled from 1080p). I've never seen any issues with lorirocks777's vids (or RailCowGirl's), and I'm sure I've watched some of yours and not had a problem, but this one is headache inducing. Probably just me, though. And I do appreciate how frustrating it must be when UA-cam re-renders your vids in ways you can't completely control.
@@CabviewHolland I think the high contrast between the ties and the gravel is creating a moiré effect. This was more noticeable at 720p (which I forgot I had YT set to) and less at 1080p.
@@kjh23gk Do you mean dark areas are too dark and light areas too light? Does your tv play HDR? Or are you watching the SDR version? Have you tried to manually select the 4K version?
@@CabviewHolland Yes, that's what I mean. No, my TV doesn't play HDR, and my computer which it's hooked up to can't manage 4K without melting. 😒
