@@rudragholba8203these are photos that are decommissioned by the military and posted on social media. Including official Twitter and IG handles. Can't you see it's the same images being run continuously. It's taken from 3rd party sources for the video. Forget about these youtubers, even superstars and celebrities are not allowed to shoot inside an operational military base.

Awesome Video as always the Mig 29 with the upg upgrade has become formidable but I feel it needs to be additionally upgraded with an AESA radar and dual pylons for BVR missiles as of now it can carry only 4 BVR and 2 WVR missiles which in an intense battle would be less.
It can carry dual launch rail on a same hard-point for R-77.
Uttam upgrade is indeed planned and may happen with 29 too

AESA radar is a must for our times, maybe India can produce a domestic radar to further upgrade them.

Amca still on the drawing board not even a single prototype been built yet then how can he upload the video about it on the similar pattern like Mig29 which is operational in IAF service where as SR71 is concerned it's a high speed interceptor spy & reconnaissance aircraft which these days are obsolete aa much of such electronic spying reconnaissance is presently carried out through spy satellites, UAVs ,AWACS & others electronic warfare surveillance platforms therefore SR71 type Aircraft has now becomes, obsolete outdated for the present military aviation operations.

Auxiliary air intakes are a part of mig 29 design, have explained it in script itself 🙂
These allow u to keep the main intakes closed to avoid ingestion of FO while take off and landings

The -29A remains the prettiest aircraft designed in the jet age. Pure aerodynamic beast, no FBW. The UPG is more capable, but less pretty

Abhishek bai nice video i have a question recently lot of MIG 29 crshed and IAF points it to its not so very great engine n that is tge reason India now planning to buy Rafale M Jets for Aircraft carrier ship than new Mig 29 But my uestion is India is now planning Super Sukoi programme n upgrading existing Su 30 fighter jets but without changing Su 30 Al 3 engines. Now can our IAF , DRDO along with Sukhoi & Mikhoion company put tgese good 75 nos Al 3 Su 30 engines on existing Mig 29 so that Mig 29 becomes even more powerful n crashes can b avoided secondly Russia is now offering new AL 41 jet engines which r used in tgeir new SU 57 Stealth fighter jets for our Super Sukhoi Su 30 upgradation programme This will b hitting 2 mangoes in one stone if AL 3 engines can b fitted in MIG 29 jets. If so 26 such upgraded Mig 29 jets from IAF can b given to navy for aircraft carrier n v can void buying 26 Rfale M jets. But v should replace the IAF Mig 29 with new Tejas MKA fighter jets pl reply bro on each point

who told u that IAF was very happy with this aircraft. I think u dont study much. I read so many articles and interviews suggesting IAF was never happy with this aircraft. IAF's favorite aircraft has always been Mirage2k only. Not even Su-30MKI. We experienced hell lots of problems with Mig-29 Engines. Also with the spares.

2nd the Russian engine used in our upg is fine and not the original used engine
3rd spares is not an issue or function of just platform, there is a inventory management that goes into things bud
4rth for mirage being favourite or not makes no difference, roles are very different and very different capabilities

I like this video and I like Mig-29 but it was never meant to be an air superiority plane. It is too small (certainly not heavyweight as stated) with too limited range and too weak radar for such purpose. It is a replacement for Mig-21: relatively small, nimble plane for "air cleaning" of ground attack planes, helicopters and similar size fighters.
Su-27 and its successors is a proper air superiority fighter.
Air superiority role doesnt necessarily mean long endurance. Have explained how the 29 project evolved during its initial phase

Role in Kargil for keeping F16s away and role in Ladakh for keeping J10s away would always be remembered.
When this thing goes up in air of high altitudes - none of the rivals dare come in its engagement range even in their own airspace.

One small question: Why do IAF planes look dirtier compared to other air force planes. I have no agenda but I have seen that IAF jets always seem to covered in soot and dust.

Gas guzzler mig29 high maintenance .best IAF fighters are Mirage and rafale.
The design was excelent, superior than Nato counterparts, F-16, 18, but the avionics., engines, executions, was inferior. Seems all export versions have a extended straight Vertical stb edge, poland also, etc, because of knowing an extreme stress in that zone, and export version was warranty extended. Anyway, it was if work ok, far superior of an F-16, 18 in that age. Also Ir tracking was new there. Not in 2024 F-16 not have IR-Track sensor, anyway, seems no need .
In terms of desing, they look at wing loading, actuators force/kg, LERX eff,/AoA/ weight/thrust, etc, etc. In All those therms, Mig-29 get max. note.

Kindly avoid reading missiles as a data sheet, air warfare doesnt happen on paper specs but various factors. 🙂

Why Ihen the IAF chose Mig 21 Bison against Pak F16 after Balakot strikes but not Mig 29? It was embarrassing that it lost one plane, one pilot captured and the F16 were able to strike Indian positions in Kashmir
F16 haven't striked Indian positions
In fact pak lost a f,16.....they lied saying it was Chinese j 10 jet initially but after few days they said a f16 crashed during regular exercise as they have said for PNS GHAZI submarine
... Iaf used mirage jets + bisons cuz mirages were good at precision strikes and bisons for diversion
Because mig 21 are interceptors which were in the sector
2nd paf fired their h4 pgm from beyond lac and ran away in process missing their intended target , all this during a shallow strike mission, speaks loads of paf capabilities 🙂

This was rarely used in real combat - even during Balakot no Russian jet was used.
Because su30 are so expensive they were protecting mirage2000... Russian jets are for air superiority but for precision strikes we need jets like Rafale which has RCS low...and the other reason is IAF didn't want to lose their best fighter

Mig 29 is Not a bad aircraft at all , but IAF lost 23 since induction . 14 in last 10 years
SU-30 is not bad either, IAF lost 13 in last 12 years. One in a MAC with Mirage
10 Mirages gone in last 10 years and lets not even talk about Mig21.
80 percent of these losses were also pilot casualty as well. Aircrafts are fine. Piloting is where IAF lacks.
