Let this serve as a masterclass to all prog metal bands on why you don't skimp out on backup vocals. Absolutely perfect.
Dooooooooown, Dooooooooown!
My favourite leprous song. I hope they play this song in İstanbul.
I’m obsessed with Leprous since 2 months, shame on me I’m only discovering them now at 42. I bought 3 albums and will buy all of them soon. Amazing band. Love this song.
Same with me, four years back with 41. :)
Welcome to the club of addicted Fans. Leprous is insane :)
Me 58
Same here, but 41...3 albums. Singer is nephew of my girlfriend's uncle (married to her mum's sister...so we don't really now that side of his family). I am obsessed with this song...that staccato riffing, when the stabs of organ kick in, sooooo good!!!!
I saw them a year ago, in the Royal Albert Hall (didn't knew the band), before Devin Townsend. Amazing band, so good! In two weeks I'm 41 years old.
True Artists at work! Fucking brilliant! My favourite band.
Gods
Einar's vocals are phenomenal on the first chorus, perfect! 4:10 is Baard purposedly beating the snare off-beat while maintaining steady double pedal? Duuude.
Yeah I believe it's called a poly-rhythm, absolutely brilliant. He does it in a fair amount of songs. Absolute beast
@@TheHalfGlassFullGuy hmm, I guess it could be treated as polyrhythm... anybody can give a musicological explanation of this one? I haven't really heard this off-beat snare anywhere else. He's generally quite incredible indeed!
@@PharaHerine Nah, not a polyrhythm. He just hits the snare a sixteenth (or eigth, I don't know which tempo they use) later than what's usual. But compared to all the other wizardry this guy is performing on drums, this is pretty simple and basic stuff. The pattern he's playing in the part right before the double bass part (from 3:48 onwards) is much more complex and difficult.
@@Kleisterer Oh, is it? In what way exactly? I had no idea, I'll focus on it more. Thank you for the explanation :)
Music = Liquid Emotion 😊
The increasing resistance
The open wounds
A paralyzed flock
Steadily drowns
The incline getting steeper
While legs turning numb
The quivering surface
The unavoidable descent
Off the edge
I have been thrown
Down
Vanished
All that I've known
Down
Off the edge
I have been thrown
Down
Vanished
All that I've known
Down
Revelation yet to come
The self is growing stronger
The dusk
Remains longer
Like parasites, they devour
Violating the creation
The absence of the conscience
The shallow congregation
Off the edge
I have been thrown
Down
Vanished
All that I've known
Down
Off the edge
I have been thrown
Down
Vanished
All that I've known
Down
Off the edge
I have been thrown
Down
Vanished
All that I've known
Down
Off the edge
I have been thrown
Down
Vanished
All that I've known
Down
Reaching towards the unknown
Perfect!👏👏👏👏
