    Frigorífico no se usa en México, se usa "Refrigerador" :v

      MarTheWeirdo Mer no, in Spain Nevera is used for fridge, and Rosa doesn't pronounce the z or c like th, so she's from South America somewhere

    Perro is the most difficult word to pronounce... if you can't roll your 'r's then it's impossible!

      well, isn't hard :/ try to make the sound like a motorcycle ;) and practice with these words:
      •Correr _Run_
      •Perro _Dog_
      •Carro _Car_
      •Carreta _Cart_
      •Tierra _Ground_
      •Jarra _Pitcher_
      •Corriente _Current_
      •Burro _Donkey_
      •Sierra _Saw_
      Try to practice with these word making the sound like a motorcycle
      (I'm native spanish)

    Great video but you didn't chose many difficult words "penguino "?! That's easy! How about disfortunademente. I like the phrase examples you give. A space for time to say them myself would be great.

    This is a good video!! As a beginner Spanish speaker, words like paragua,pelo, and perro are actually easy to pronounce. Maybe this video is for Spanish learners of all levels(beginner, intermediate,and advanced) to watch. Which is a nice thing. 😁

    7 and 8 is easy to say...but mostly because I am Hispanic ,and hear Spanish all the time by my grandparents when I'm at their house and I used to live with them for many years but my mom never speaks it so that's why I don't speak it but I understand when my grandma tells me to do things in Spanish but not that he said she said convos ect. sadly(no one probably care but I just felt like saying )

    desafortunatamente, indescriptible, antigüedad, there are many more words I struggle with. not so much with niño.

      +Naomi Rivera - - I'm a native spanish speaker, and we too struggle with long words. I'll give you a secret to deal with them: think them as multiple words, as a phrase. For example: "des - afortunada - mente", "in - des - crip - tible". It does not matter where you choose to break the word, as long as you're breaking it into multiple "words". You pronounce them "slightly" together, that's what i do, that's my "secret".

    La palabra para refrigerator es "HELADERA" que es la mas conocida o de última "REFRIGERADOR" que es prácticamente la misma palabra, frigorífico es donde hacen la preparación y la exportación de carnes a supermacados o carnicerias. La oración que hiciste sobre frigorífico esta mal hecha y suena raro y por favor extranjeros no usen la palabra "idiosincrasia" no sean tan Nerds

      Supongo que eso depende de la zona. Todos sabemos que cambia según regiones, hay por ahí un vídeo muy simpático en el que juntan a personas de distintas nacionalidades y les preguntan por palabras comunes en cuanto a vestuario, ¡cuántas diferencias hay!. En este caso, en España si se dice frigorífico, o nevera. Y en cuanto a heladera, para un español es la máquina que hace helados.

    That's not the meaning of "idiosincrasia". She misused that word there. I'll give you a real example:
    "El rechazo a la corrupción es parte de la idiosincrasia de este pueblo". ("The rejection to corruption is part of this people's idiosyncrasy").

    Desde mi punto de vista, como profesor de chicos ingleses de 9-13 años, te propongo "ajedrez, cuatro, piragüismo, equitación, ronronear, aerodeslizador, farmacia, veinte, pie, precioso, vuelvo, zorro, seis, llueve, hay, y gracias.     As a native spanish speaker, I must admit that as a child it was very difficult for me to say "perro", and I used to say "pedo"... but because this means "fart", I added "que hace guau guau" (basically I said "fart that says woof woof")

    exquisita means exquisite in english, she is saying it means delicious but in actuality it's deliciosa.
    this is why people have trouble learning.

    These aren't hard. Saying comportamiento and aeurpuerto are harder. Hitting that trilled "R" and moving into a "T" or having words where there are 3 "R's" in succession can be tongue twisters, especially with a "T" thrown in.

    I don't know where she's from, I'm a spanish speaker and I've never heard of refrigerator being called what she calls it.

      There's many forms, people just use "refrigerador" because it's the simplest to communicate.
      I think she's from Spain, though, listen at 1:53.

      She is Spanish. Instead of " refrigerador" , " nevera " is more used.

    holla. i am Indonesian and i use duolingo for learning spanish. it taught me refrigerador for refrigerator. is it ok?

      Yep. Most of Latin America use "refrigerador", but Spain uses "frigorífico"

      stick with refrigerador, it's more universal accepted.

    Most of these words are easy for non-native speakers to pronounce (other than Perro). Only issue I found is that it depends on what kind of Spanish & for where you're trying to teach it. For example - "Frigorífico" doesn't mean fridge in all speaking countries. Depending on where you travel, i.e. Mexico they use the word "Refrigerador" in lieu of Frigorífico.
    I'm a native Spanish speaker & also obtained a degree in Spanish.

    niño is exclusive for a boy that's a child.
    does not mean child in general, you have to distinguish between boy or girl.
    too many screw ups with this teacher.

      Just me I always learned "los niños" for the children and "el niño" for the boy. of course there are other ways to say it, but I'm pretty sure she's right too

    I would argue "rural" or any Spanish words with the combination "tr" "gr" are tricky for English speakers! Vowels are easy no matter how many there are (ex- idiosyncrasía) because of the air expulsion

      In my (limited) experience I've only ever heard refrigerador or refri. It's an easy cognate for refrigerator. I've never heard frigorifico.
