    Many of you like the video but say that it's too fast!! If I could re-edit it I would and I'd make it slower! But I cannot so the only thing I can suggest is you slow down the speed in the settings! Instead of normal, you can watch it in 0.75, see if that works!!!

      @@jesscast5122 I liked the song btw. I had quit spanish. Laura came up in my you tube feed and for some reason I clicked on it. She is such a sweet and entertaining young person who I thought was very funny and maybe a little naive that I was Hooked from the start. However she is speaking spanish , which now forced me back into learning spanish. If I want to try a different approach there are numerous other spanish sites. She is literally Enticing me to learn Spanish. Don't be too hard on her. Y : AND
    Please remember that when Y is before a word that begins with an "I" or "HI", we use "E" as conjunction of equality, instead of "Y", with the same meaning.
    Examples:
    Mar E isla: Sea and island
    Aguja E hilo: Needle and thread.
    Very important!!!

    • @moffman87
      @moffman87 2 роки тому +27

      What would be the consequences of using "y" instead of "e"? Why is it "very important"? Thank you

    • @evasanchezsaez8685
      @evasanchezsaez8685 2 роки тому +284

      @@moffman87 There won't be "consequences" as people not understanding you. They'll understand you. Spanish people will appreciate your effort speaking Spanish.
      This rule is very important because it helps you to speak easier.
      Here you have a few examples:
      - Carmen y Isabel: Try to read it. "Y" and "I" are the same sound, so you need to make an uncomfortable pause between "Y" and "Isabel".
      Carmen e Isabel (correct one): Now try to read this one. It's much fluent and easier, isn't it? You don't need to make any pause between "E" and "Isabel".
      Maybe you think this wouldn't be necessary but in Spanish you'll see that fluency and musicality in sentences are more important than simple grammatical rules.
      It happens the same with "O/U":
      - Claro o oscuro (wrong): Try to read it. You need to make a pause.
      - Claro u oscuro (correct one): You don't need to make a pause to pronounce it.
      I could have told you that we use them because Spanish grammar says so, but even they are grammar rules, this is the reason why we use them.
      I hope I've helped you.
      If you need any other info, just tell me.

If you enjoy talking about it and get excited talking about it, that will translate to us because enthusiasm is infectious.
Some kind of story maybe focusing on lots of preterito and imperfecto but nothing else, so that we can hopefully see the difference between when each are used. Or lots of present simple vs future to help us recognise the endings.
      I try to do this with my guys by having conversations and telling stories where everything has to be in either (a) past simple or (b) present perfect because learners always confuse those two. So I want to separate them and untangle them from each other in my students' minds. To narrow the focus and simplify things a bit, tensewise.

    Top-notch video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.

    I’m an American and I just spent a month traveling around Spain. It’s a wonderful place, but, my biggest regret was not knowing the language better. I got along fine because most people there know a little English, but I felt guilty, that I couldn’t return the favor and speak (and more importantly listen) to what THEY had to say and what they were thinking. Spain is a beautiful country, filled with lovely people. Your well made videos will help me connect much better when I go back and I WILL. Liked and subscribed.

    I think it is important to note that "que" doesn't always mean "what" in the way most Anglophones would think. More often then not it is more like "that" as in es la musica que me gusta or "why" as in por que. Growing up in California everyone knows que can mean "what" but it is really confusing when you start trying to learn more and it pops up in places you would not expect.

    Oh wow! I was looking for something like this. Thanks! Saving for later constant review. And what I like best so far is that you’re speaking normal speed. We have to get used to regular speed in a foreign language because people don’t talk as slow as a snail. I watch a lot of videos with children songs. All regular speed in speaking Spanish. Each time I catch a little more. And the more I listen the less it sounds real fast because I’m used to the normal speed of talking and learning more words I missed before. And I’m getting used to different Spanish speaking accents. Thank you so much adding more to my Spanish learning journey. Fantástico!

      It helped me, but I’m already halfway to intermediate. Most language-learning content just bombards you with random vocabulary and a few verbs to play with. It doesn’t teach you the fundamental structure and rules for how the language behaves. The course im following (Learncraft Spanish) teaches the fundamentals first and then fills in the details later. So the stuff she teaches in this video is falling right into place for me. Instead of just learning the direct translation for these words I am actually ready to implement them into real speech. Being able to actually use vocab is what makes remembering it easy
      Having said all that she should have just titled it something different, like “must-know vocab for becoming intermediate”

Otra vez, "Dificil" no significa "hard", significa "dificult". ( Duro significa "Hard") ¡Así que "es difícil" es muy diferente a "it's hard".
