Thank you this is the best video ive watched and I've been trying for a minute. I have a 27 yr old bi-racial daughter and I have pretty much mastered the parting and single braiding but I have never been able to grasp the concept. Well now my daughter's 4 kids live with me and the 9 yr is not having it lol she said grandma you need to learn. All 4 were gone for the first weekend in months and I grabbed a doll and finally found your video im pretty sure i got it. Thank you
I have been struggle cornrowing my hair for yearssss. Tonight i decided to come to youtube to learn the correct way since im new to wearing wigs & want them to lay down perfectly. Your video is the 3rd video I watched. And girl! I just cornrowed my hair beautifully (almost). Thank you for this!! You just made my ancestors proud ❤
I’m a man trying to learn how to braid my own hair and your video is the most detailed specific teaching for beginners this was a major help your teaching skills is top tier thanks love❤
Thank you so much for this video I can’t tell you how many videos I’ve watched and never truly understood but the way you broke down the hand technique was exactly what I needed so thank you you literally just showed me exactly how to braid. You are an amazing teacher.😊❤
This has been the easiest video to really show me how to cornrow. I’ve seen so many but this one really breaks down everything down to the tea. Thank you❤❤
I’ve seen only a couple of good videos. This is BY FAR the best tutorial. Up close and STEP BY STEP with detailed explanation of everything. Thank you!
@@ChelseaAlexaSo I need some tips and advice. I am biracial mixed race and i NEED help. I am trying to grow my hair long. I have tired vitamins and shampoo's..but nothing worked. Please help me!!
Thank you so much ❤️ YOU ARE A GOOD TEACHER! This is THE BEST tutorial! I have wanted to learn to do this for years. And watching your video, it just clicked ... when you called them stitches, It clicked in the head! 💡🌩💡 ❤
Omg I think I got it because you are the only one here that shows when or from the grab the hair , I'm going to practice again ❤❤❤❤and I just subscribed, please support this channel ladies ❤
Thanks Chelsea! This is really helpful to me. Congratulations on becoming licensed!!! After being in the medical field for over 20 years, I went to cosmetology school when I turned 50. I'm 56 now, am licensed and have my own small shop! Much success to you! ~ APRIL LIPKE
Congratulations to you for being brave enough to go after exactly what you want! I’m sure your shop is lovely! Wishing you both success ✨ thank you for watching 💕
Omg I’m glad I came across your videos it really helpful I have tried many time to learn cornrows on UA-cam but I can’t get it but yours was so easy and understanding to learn I tried it and I was able to do it thanks so much you are my teacher now🥰🥰🥰🥰
I would say when you feel like your fingers are comfortable with the motions, you can try moving onto braiding your own hair. Since you can’t see, you’re gonna have to rely on muscle memory so you wanna make sure you understand what your hands are gonna be doing
I’m so happy to hear that 🥹 finger placement is so overlooked and I feel like it’s the source of confusion for a lot of people so I’m glad I could clear that up for you ❤️
I am so happy I came across this video. this is a life-changing video honestly. I've been using other videos for tutorials but I just couldn't get it right. but with your video CHILE, I got it in one go. Thank you sooo much girl.
Your video ID so effective, I found it yesterday and trust me my cornrows are so dope now,the only downfall is I am left handed so it's hard to get right to left with holding my had properly but girl my cornrows are looking so good after following your methods ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I’m ngl, school doesn’t really teach you much about braiding. I’m the one that taught for the most part during the braid chapters at cosmo school lol it’s better to learn on your own for braiding at least so you’re definitely doing the right thing!
Thank you. This has to be the best video I have seen on corn rows. I'm going to try on my daughters hair. Thank you for slowing it down and making it easy 👍👍
This is the best ever detailed tutorial I've come across. But I'll never get this right, I've practiced so many times but my hands get so confused. How do you "maintain the 3 strands" and also not mix them when you let go of the other hand? 😢😢😢
Thank you for watching! It just takes some getting used to. You have to figure out which piece of hair you’re going to hold in between or on top of which fingers. It’s uncomfortable at first because our fingers aren’t used to be used in that way most times but eventually you’ll be able to hold the hair in between your fingers with one hand with no problem. I know I keep saying practice but it’s also to build up dexterity in your fingers to be able to hold onto hair. Work extremely slowly at first to see what your fingers naturally wanna do and then speed up as you get the hang of it and eventually your fingers will do the work without you even realising
As long as you did them, it’s only up from here! I wish I could add a video to my comment because I actually have a video dedicated to parting already up on my channel if you look in the “Braiding Series” playlist!
I just want to say thank you so much. I literally have been trying to learn how to cornrow all my life now this definitely was one of the easiest videos to follow. I wish I can attach pictures. ♥️♥️
I have a question. So when you have the middle and right or left strand in one hand how do you not get those two pieces mixed up? Cause they are both in the same fingers? Thats where i always mess up.
Honestly, I absolutely got those 2 pieces mixed up when I first started learning 😂 my advice would be to move slowly and really look to see exactly what your fingers are doing. For me, I have one piece of hair in between my finger and one on top of my finger. You can definitely try it that way too but ultimately, you have to find whichever finger positioning works best for you. It might not be the same as mine
I don’t have a video of me braiding a curly haired mannequin but I do have quite a few videos on my channel of me cornrowing my natural hair in its blown out state that I think might offer a different perspective
Im glad I came across your video im a NaNa who combs my granddaughters multi racial hair and she loves❤ braids all kinds of them can you tell where to get the shine and jam please
Am learning how to make hair, but isn't working for me to do it in human begin hair..but baby I can do it,if I do natural hair my ham won't be Good ..but as j watch this ur video am greatful for it
i can cornrow a bit at my sides but cant do it throughout my head - would it still make sense to get a mannequin anyway? I just cant go backwards lol!!
Thank you this is the best video ive watched and I've been trying for a minute. I have a 27 yr old bi-racial daughter and I have pretty much mastered the parting and single braiding but I have never been able to grasp the concept. This is the best video I've seen for beginners like me. I can do box braids but still rubbish at corn rows! This explains it perfectly.
Cornrows took me a while to get but yeah box braids were easier to me too! Thank you for watching! I’m glad I could help 😊
You are the ONLY tutorial that I’ve watched where I got it 😭 thank you!
This has been the easiest video to really show me how to cornrow. I’ve seen so many but this one really breaks down everything down to the tea. Thank you❤❤
Oh my gawd THANK YOU 🎉 I've been trying to understand this for 12 years! Finally someone who explained it perfectly.

How hard is it to transition to practicing braiding on own hair? My hands get confused and tangled 🤔💜
I would say when you feel like your fingers are comfortable with the motions, you can try moving onto braiding your own hair. Since you can’t see, you’re gonna have to rely on muscle memory so you wanna make sure you understand what your hands are gonna be doing
Easy to do with long hair...not so much with short hair
