You got me started in lacrosse. As a small kid i was allways interested in the sport but never played. 3 years ago I found you and got a stick. I practiced a little bit, then i got hooked. I practiced 4 hours a day in the summer and quickly improved. I got a net and that was when i really got good. I took about 250 shots a day for another summer. This year i started playing after 3 years of practice. My season got cut short but my coach clocked me at 82 mphs. Thank you for what you do and keep doing it
Thank you so much for making these videos! This is what has been keeping me sane during this quarantine 😂 You are my favorite UA-camr and my brother and I watch you all day long. We do your wall ball routines and everything. This video was so helpful for my brother and I! Thank you so much for being my idol!!! Also: GOOD DEAL
As a high school coach, the lacrosse community has been huge in continuing my development as well as the development of my players. Thanks for growing the game during these crazy times.
This is very helpful. And a great idea since most of us is stuck in our residences. Please extend this video, and give us more examples, because IQ is such an important part of the game, and this seems to be the only resource for those trying to better it. I think this series is going to be a hit, and I will make sure to show it to my teammates.
Paul, this is worth its weight in gold. Thank you for providing this. As a fan, it's been awesome to see the growth within your game over the years, especially with off-ball play between you & Pannell and your ability to feed. Looking forward to more of that this upcoming season. Go Bulls!
Love to see your videos Paul. I have never played lacrosse and you were the one to get me into it. It WAS my first season. I enjoy seeing you still posting videos even when sports are canceled.
This is exactly what my son has been needing... the skills can always use refining, but understanding the game is the most challenging aspect of taking the game to the next level... more please! Thank you.
10 minutes into this and I have learned a 100 times more than the basic movements we ran on my varsity team in the 90s. The game has evolved. I have been pulling from resources all over to help my son's 2nd-grade team. Obviously, most of this is beyond their level, but to be able to show that there is so much a mental aspect of the game will help them in decisions for situations that come up during gameplay. Paul, you're elite even among the best. When lacrosse is finally in the Olympics I hope to see you playing. If not, the USA couldn't have a better coach. God bless you. Thank you for growing the game.
This is such an excellent video. So instinctual when you feel pressed. You said it plainly - “when doubled look for the quickest [sure] pass”. The domino effect is pass, pass, shot. I would add the same goes for unsettled ground ball scenarios particularly in lower leagues where guys get out of position in scrum like circumstances. It is great to pick up a ground ball. But the faster the ball scooper picks up his head and looks to push the ball into the box and then the first guy in the box turns and either has a path to a shot or a quick few steps to draw and dump the better. Always keeping ball tempo with eyes up to create 3 v 2 and 2 v 1 triangles is so elemental to breaking down defenders.
This was brilliantly executed more videos like this plz. In the next video could you go in to more depth about what squaring up your shoulders does for a successful dodge. You are literally the reason I still play this awesome sport.
Mr.Paul I appreciate you giving me a chance to learn more about the sport I love threw UA-cam during this time of social distancing and quarantine.Thank you
This was great. You should start a series like this with different players talking different positions and breaking down different aspects of the game. And I’m REALLY REALLY asking for the Big Rig, Scotty Rodgers to do one of this for goalies. That would be AMAZING
#2 was snoozing on his crease man up high, it was the good old “cut behind when your off ball defender takes his eye off you” and the ball keeps rotating towards X to give you the 180 cut towards the pipe down the lane from above.
Very cool! You don't get this type of analysis from other pro sports. It's usually generic stuff. This is very detail-oriented. The little details separate the merely good from the elite.
This was great and I really like how you broke everything down. But something I would suggest, is that you let the play go through at normal speed just so we can see the whole play. And so we get a solid reference as to how fast y’all are making these decisions.
Great video! Would love to see some eyetracking footage to understand how you see all those things. Maybe a great idea for next season: get some helmets equipped with cameras to see your perspective.
Paul would you mind letting me know the make and model of the lacrosse cage you use (the portable one)? Wanting to go ahead and grab one as well to keep the sticks dialed until summer ball, thanks big man!
This would make a great series that I feel lots of people would find very helpful. You should definitely get some other positions to do the same like attack, defense and maybe goalies!
That was awesome. Can you convince a defender to do something similar? These are great learning tools. Even as a non-player I love learning about the game I love.
On the Miles to Miles goal, why does not Perk play him stick to stick ? And why does #44 on defense not have his stick up and shift into the new passing lane being created so it is tougher to pass across to Miles Thompson ?
You can make the point also on that your up top skip pass you had your eyes OFF your targeted teammate. Your head angle made cutter to the crease pass work for the in close goal. Your eyes fooled the defender.
YOOOO Paul I’m a freshman lax player at the D2 level who’s been struggling with scenarios on the field. Anyway you can keep doing these? Especially for attack?
This was so helpful maybe you could get one of your attack an friends to do a vid like this. But this was very helpful
Yes
I was about to say that ^^
like rp3
Defense too
Oh yeah this is what I needed during quarantine

Also: GOOD DEAL
Agreed
👍
Hey Paul it’s been so long me watching u over all these years but can u do lsm or defense plays or videos
This was so good. It's amazing the situational awareness the top players have. I'm so glad someone had the idea to do this!
As a high school coach, the lacrosse community has been huge in continuing my development as well as the development of my players. Thanks for growing the game during these crazy times.
I love reviewing film like this, really hope this came become a long standing video series.
This is very helpful. And a great idea since most of us is stuck in our residences. Maybe at some point you could also talk about defending on a pro level, I’m sure that’d help tons on people out
Jirwin56 Gaming please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
He should get a actual defender if he was to do it.
Paul, this is worth its weight in gold. Thank you for providing this.

Love to see your videos Paul. I have never played lacrosse and you were the one to get me into it. It WAS my first season. I enjoy seeing you still posting videos even when sports are canceled.
TBH, this might be the best video you've ever done. This type of breakdown is what EVERY player, from youth to college, needs to see. WE WANT MORE!
This is exactly what my son has been needing... the skills can always use refining, but understanding the game is the most challenging aspect of taking the game to the next level... more please! Thank you.

feel free to make these vids as long as you want, we're not complaining. Great stuff
European Lacrosse Championships not running this year but Coach Rabil is keeping it lit! Thanks, I could listen to these everyday.

I liked this before the video even finished loading. I think this stuff is amazing for the growth of the game
Keep putting these videos out with very in depth looks not just at the offense but what the defense do to effect your read.
Huge help for players. Teaching IQ is something that doesn’t happen enough for youth players. This is amazing please post more
I’ve been waiting so long for u to do a video like this love it, icon.
Paul can you please come to Seattle next season here in the north there is so many lacrosse players out here. (can you do attack next)
this video was actually really helpful for me and gave me lots of good tips for when i play midi. please keep it a series!
This was brilliantly executed more videos like this plz. In the next video could you go in to more depth about what squaring up your shoulders does for a successful dodge. You are literally the reason I still play this awesome sport.
Probably the most helpful video you have ever posted when it comes to in game so thank you!!
Love the video. Makes me miss playing even more. Will you do any stuff on attackman/have an attackman do one?
Mr.Paul I appreciate you giving me a chance to learn more about the sport I love threw UA-cam during this time of social distancing and quarantine.Thank you
Fire video! Hope this catches the attention it deserves so this becomes a permanent series

What goal do you usually bring to shooting workouts? I'm tired of not always having access to goals. Thanks.
Excellent! Valuable insights for players or fans who want to better understand the game.
Awesome video... really appreciate the time you put into it and can't wait to show it to my son.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of the game.

Love this, hope this is a regular thing
This was great and I really like how you broke everything down. But something I would suggest, is that you let the play go through at normal speed just so we can see the whole play. And so we get a solid reference as to how fast y’all are making these decisions.
This is awesome! Keep it up! Improving the game at so many levels!

Would love to see some eyetracking footage to understand how you see all those things. Maybe a great idea for next season: get some helmets equipped with cameras to see your perspective.

These are great. Keep these coming
