Magical show presented by two magical men, Saint & Greavsie. RIP.
RIP Ian St John.
Another Liverpool legend has passed away.
Very sad news indeed.
Simply the best football show ever. Every Saturday lunchtime in the 80’s this had to be on. Happy days.
Today Sunday 19th September 2021 the great Jimmy Greaves passed away. On 1st March 2021 Ian St John passed away. I hope these to giants of English football are catching up and having a kick about. Love and prayers to both families and friends. We shall never see their like again x
Brings back memories😊stonking hangover from the friday, mums fry up on the saturday then Saint & Greavsie at about 12.30! Oh to be 17/18 again!!!!!
I forgot how blunt Greavsie was. Ian St John had to show so much composure. What a pro!
Both absolute legends though. Bless 'em!
Best football programme ever made. Gascoigne asked if he was worried about price tag and saying that he was more worried about looking after himself. Prophetic indeed.
RIP Saint and Greavsie. Two legends, gents and characters of the game 👍 Will be missed.
Jimmy has gone to see his old pal Ian. RIP lads.
Loved those times when football had passion and meant something people getting along no pc always laughing RIP Saint John.
RIP Jimmy Greaves. This show takes me back to when I had just left college and started working. Funny to think that this programme ran just before the Berlin Wall came down and the world changed, and before the EPL started.
Loved Saint & Greavsie back in the day and still as good now looking back 👌
You have done the Lord's work uploading these. Heroic stuff
Rave on a Friday night, saint and greavesy to watch on the comedown. Glory days. Laughing at Saint been shocked at the amount of 34 million spent though
The Bury result at 1m 13s was the first Bury match I ever went to, 31 years to the day before we were expelled from the league.
I was at the fixture the following week when you played away at my club Swansea. A 1-1 draw. Hope you make it back into he football league.
RIP the Saint!
What two lovely lovely people legends rip both of you xx
Great show.
2 great presenters
Absolutely loved this as a football mad youngster.
It was probably thanks to this show, thst i got into football.
Brill, another new episode, hope theres more in the new year. Was funny listening to greavsie mock the studio, imagine the posh geordie or trophy head doing that on match of the day
the saint and greavsie show is happening as we speak in a better place - R.I.P Saint and Greavsie
Anyone who took that 16-1 bet on Arsenal at the beginning of this season did very well.
This was fun to watch in the 80's plus MoTd ⚽⚽🤟 Ian Rush won alot with an Onform Liverpool Squad😁, Saint And Greavsie good entertainment.
If Greavsie thought £2.8 million was too much for Ian Rush, what would he make of Man United signing Pogba for £89M and Barca signing Coutinho for £105M etc? 🤔
Rip Saint Rip Jimmy total legends
Ghostdancing by Simple Minds the soundtrack through the transfer clips.
RIP The Saint Loved Saint and Greavsie both Legends
Thanks for the upload, good to see the old raingers in action before they died in 2012 ☠️😂
Jim White interviewing Graham Souness - Excellent
Martin Tyler proclaiming then First Division as ‘best league in the world’. Baring in mind, England internationals at the time, were either going to France, or joining the English exile at Ibrox; Italians having the best players in the world; English clubs banned from Europe. Martin Tyler must have been consuming some top class copium, to make such a statement in 1988.
R.i.p Ian St. John
16 to 1 on Arsenal to win the championship?? I wonder how many people cleaned up on that??
That seems mad given the players they had now.11/1 on Tony Cottee to be top goal scorer St John “Good Price” Greavsie “Not really I wouldn’t back him but I don’t live in Liverpool”😂😂
What great memories.
Quality viewing.
2 million these days is like 50p in the back pocket of Chelsea, City & Newcastle owners but at the time it was considered a huge fee. Times have changed...
Legends . Big Mac. The Saint and JImbob. Look at TV now!!
The one good thing that came from Hillsborough was the stadiums where upgraded
Rip Jim
Tottenham were deducted 2 points for that Coventry postponement
RIP Ian. Some great times enjoyed watching this as a kid.
Does anyone know the music playing when they do an extended feature on the hot players near the start? Was also used when introducing the Rest of the World xi for the 1987 League Centenary.
RIP Greavsie.
Great blokes 👍👍👍
How much would Ian Rush be worth today
Doesn't that Bury 3 Wolves 1 scoreline send fatal shock waves down today's football pyramid?
A new episode brilliant!! Love this program!! Any more episodes upcoming??
Not from me any time soon, I'm afraid - I've now uploaded all the S&G clips I currently have. Maybe something will turn up in the future!
@@RandomChannelUK I hope so. Episodes of S&G are like gold dust. Just think though, ITV must have all the episodes in their library. I don't know why they don't repeat them on one of their many channels.
@@D_B_Cooper Yes you're probably right. Imagine someone going through every episode and editing them out!
Ooh I fancy punting on Arsenal at that price lol
2 million was big money back then Football has long since lost its soul Don't even bother with the PL anymore its just money money money Christ sake some folk can't even feed themselves
Alan Smith was top scorer that season. 33/1. Some people must have cleaned out the bookies.
£2 million was a bargain for Gazza
How the game has changed. 2 million wouldn’t get you an average championship player now!! Not changed for the better as far as money is concerned in my opinion.
I know the gazza and tony cottee transfers been talked as big money buys when league 1 clubs have been known to shell that out now. Still the so called big clubs then still seem to be the same now
Nobodys worth £2m lol forward 2021 £2m is the agents fee
£34 million???
Arsenal 16/1 for the title......right.....where's my time machine.
Good price for Arsenal 👀😂
£2 million tranfers?? Disgusting!
I loved this show, nothing better when I was 14 years old, than watching Saint and Greavsie on a Saturday afternoon! Great days.
