How to Quilt With Flannel

I know I'm late to the party, but I'm 1/2 way through making this quilt for my son, just the border, backing, and quilting to be done. I'm in love with the fabric. I've changed it up a little bit, it's all in indigos, machine quilted 1/4" down the seams, backed with minky, and then I'll hand quilt the rest of it. Thank you for sharing it!

Using a hand weight is very nice to keep your ruler in place. It can be a 2# or 3#, easy to maneuver. Love watching your videos! Ty Laura! MJ

Laura, you are a girl after my own heart! How quilting flannel is treated is SO IMPORTANT if one wants good results in both cutting and sewing! I like using washable wool batting in my flannel quilts....enough cuddle and warmth for anyone on a cold winter day or night!
