1 he has titanium arms with super strength so he can hold that door quite good
2 the closing mechanism broke when he held it so it wasnt forcing itself to close anymore the t800 was just holding it up so he didn't need to use that much strength

Biggest issues with the movie were always the John and Kate casting (the two people with absolutely no charisma and robotic delivery are supposed to lead the resistance?) and the writing for the movie as a whole.

The T850 is so damn durable it’s insane. If you look past all the skin damage, his endoskeleton is pretty much in optimal condition, no limbs missing, strength still there, no malfunctions and able to hold a nuke door. A HUGE upgrade from the T800
The T850 has a major upgrade in term of his endoskeleton's durability and also understanding human emotions way better than it's predecessor the T800 to have a better success in infiltration missions.
Compare to the ostensibly even-more-durable T-888 getting its shit rocked with small-arms fire in The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
@@thefez-cat It seems that the T-888 was built to be a superior infiltrator to T-800 (thanks to its more advanced programming and variety in body sizes), while the T-850 is an upgrade of T-800 created with heavy combat in mind.
It's a bit like comparing apples with oranges, though, especially since they exist in different timelines.

It's the only Terminator that was able to fight a more powerfull unit without losing any limb. Pops and Uncle Bob both lost and arm, Carl lost a hand and a leg.

Crazy how after dark fate, this seems like so much better than I originally thought.
Basic concepts of crowd psychology - no matter how bad the old one was, but a new ruler is almost always 'worse' than his predecessor

There's already a lot of proof that "a new ruler" can succeed "his predecessor" in the eyes of a crowd. It's funny that you would even comment that on a terminator video, considering the fact the T2, being a successor, is one of the greatest examples of a sequel beating the movie before. The bottom line is people like good writing, hopefully you'll think for yourself next time :)!

Seems heartwarming, until you remember that exact model was the one who killed John Connor in the future, then was reprogrammed to go back in time and protect him.
killed john conner or killed John conners robot copy which was meant to keep john conner safe by taking one for the team a terminator could be made to look like john conner and take the hit and of course if they lied to this machine how would he know the difference?
At the end of Terminator 2 Judgment Day, T800 told young John C "I must be destoryed. Or else, the Skynet from the future might send a hacking exploit from the future into my current body and brain, and I might kill you! that is why you must kill me now"

it's one of the small touches that really make me like this movie. like how the t850 "checks for the keys" like the old t800 except he didn't he just wanted to check the time to be sure
I understand why some people like the complexity or drama of this T850 being the one that killed John in the future but that goes against 2 things:
1. It was stated in the first two movies that John Connor would lead humanity to victory.
2. We know that the T800s are made on an assembly line. So how could John Connor make such a mistake of allowing this twrminator to get to him?
I hate those two lines in the movie because they represent the corner stones of bad Terminator movies from T3 onwards. Every movie after it basically humiliated John Connor in some way from bad to worse to Worst!
And WHY!? Because they thought John Connor was outdated. Because they wanted a reboot. Because they wanted DEI score. Etc.
Such disrespect for the original work and the characters destroyed the franchise.
Thank God for the animated series in the works and the Terminator Resistance Game which I consider Canon. Because otherwise this franchise/story would be Terminator in a humiliating way.

It’s so sad to see that this franchise went downhill this fast, they truly raped it. I remember a time when people called Rise of the Machines and Salvation incredibly shitty movies, and now people enjoy it because they’re actually better than the steaming piles of shit Genisys and Dark Fart are.

@@MauZangetsu Fun fact: Despite the T-X being a newer model, Skynet acrually FEARS the T-1000 more because of how much more durable it is/hard to destroy compared to more solid robots and also how fast it is evolving, almost on par to Skynet itself
@@ItsChevnotJeff That's why the T-1000 was never mass-produced by Skynet. They were only sent out for priority missions like eliminating John Connor. It's ability to constantly regenerate, shapeshift and form weapons from it's body makes it extremely dangerous. Not to mention the fact that the T-1000 is entirely composed of liquid metal with no mechanical components, which means it can't be controlled or reprogrammed like standard Terminators.
T3 may not be perfect... but it's loads better than any Terminator film since. Besides this climax was pretty damn cool.

The climax is so depressing, and it fits with the ominous ending of T1. This is how a movie SHOULD subvert expectations, unlike Dark Fate.
I don't mind it, I enjoy it, I still prefer Salvation as my final film in the trilogy though

T3 is an underrated movie. Not near the level of T1/T2, but those two are legendary.
I can agree with that. My primary beef with T3 is that it's just T2 but not done quite as well.
Yes but the whole concept of T1/T2 is "There is no fate but what we make for ourselves" then in T3 it's forget that, it inevitable. This movie was just a cash grab for Arnold and the entire franchise got progressively worse. So much so that this is not so bad now. After all the other ones that came out after this that went from bad, terrible, franchise killer.
@@thundercricket4634 I think the biggest flaw with T3 is the miscast of John Connor actor and excessive amount of humor by Arnie Terminator.
I like Arnie, and for the most part the funny part of T3 are genuinely funny. But it's definitely ruins the serious tone of how bad the possible events of either the threat of the TX and the inevitable judgement day.
Edit: Overall, T3 was a fun watch back when it was released. Solid 7/10. And it was Arnie last film before he became governor until The expendables 2010. Had he not been Governator, he could made more terminator movies. What could have been...

Not quite. The only fear a Terminator sent out by Skynet can know, is failing its mission.
The T800 from T2 expressed sadness and fear because he'd become self-aware at that point.

As the more advanced (and generally more sadistic) Terminator models of the T1000 and TX had no chips, they could learn a range of human emotions, ranging from fear to enjoyment.
That’s why the T1000 gave an epic “oh crap” face right before it got blown up, and the T-X showed fear as it realised there was essentially a bomb in it’s mouth.
The risk of these machines learning too much emotion is why Skynet manufactured less of them in comparison to the less powerful but more reliable and automatically loyal T-800 series models.

Uboa 2003 When they become independent, the T800 series models acknowledge the fact that they’re not as powerful as the stronger models, so they find ways to outsmart them instead.
The Uncle Bob T-800 lured the T-1000 into a smelting factory (it’s biggest weakness) due to it’s liquid body.
The T-850 crippled the T-X with a MASSIVE vehicle then used its own weaknesses (one of the fuel cells that powered it) to blow her up, adding an extra level of irony that his ‘obsolete design’ was ultimately able to kill her.😎😎

On this movie it wasn't John Connor who fights destiny... it was the T-850. He said before that it was most unlikely for him to stop T-X because he is an obsolete model. Yet for the sake of his mission, he did what his stored information stated he can't do.

Love this movie or hate it. I love how the T-X was shown to have simulated emotions. The scene were she finds John Conor's blood. The frustration when the T-800 helps John get away. Her despiration to get under the door to finish the mission and the ACTUAL FEAR when Arniebot 5000 stuffs that battery into her face. It's subtle but it shows Skynet might have given her a bit more humanity than it intended to.
The reason why the TX was able to show stimulated emotions is because the endoskeleton under her liquid metal is modeled after the T-900 Terminator, which is capable of displaying emotions and other human characteristics. When I found this out I was blown away. Really cool stuff
I thought it was cute and amusing, when she walked past the mirrors in the washroom after beating the daylights out of Arnold, she looks at herself in the mirror, just like any human female normally would

If that were the case, why wasn't it good at acting human like the T-1000 was? It does have emotions to some extent, but not enough to properly infiltrate it seems. This model is a bit of downgrade in that area.

THere could even be a faceoff against the T1000000 which is a liquid metal arachnid that guards Skynet's central system like in the comics, or some other new models as well. I would've loved to see all that, it would've been legendary to see John and his men succeed and stop everything.

@@nodinitiative T5 is a reboot to the entire franchise but the movie failed critically and financially. T6 is a replacement of T3 which means being a sequel to T2 (T3 and T4 became non-canon) but while the movie does good critically but failed financially.

Dark fate didn’t really fuck with the original timeline, this is the only movie it ignores from the original series.

Ryan Scherbluk T2 was great I watched it again recently. T3 isn’t perfect (I mean John Connor is really a weak guy in this movie) but this isn’t a bad movie for me.

Definitely agree. The car chase scene towards the beginning is one of my favorite from the franchise. Huge Champion truck smashing everything was awesome when I was younger.
I think the only real problem of this movie compared to T1 and T2 was the amount of jokes it attempted to have.

CGI is so good for such an old film
ANONYMOUS ALPHA Because just like the first two Terminator films, there are still a lot of practical effects used here, and most of the CGI is just used as a tool to enhance or layer onto the practical stuff. That’s why it looks so great despite being 2003.
It looks better than new films because new films are pretty much ALL CGI.

Practical or CGI it's doesn't really matter that much, in the end it's all only a tools, what's really does mather is that whoever will be using them in future knew their restraints, their limits (particularly in a movies that hardly requires it), experimenting carefully. Just look at Interstellar, Fury Road, Apes trilogy even at Fast 7 for God sake (everyone thinks he's such a smartass while noticing Paul Walker's fake appearance in the end of a film, but only a few can admit to themselves and others that they didn't noticed that it's not him in the entire second half of the movie).
T3 has some good stunts, good CGI (but mostly it's from mediocre to laughably bad). TDF has many same problems but IMHO all characters are significantly stronger (script is pretty weak, but mainly good acting) and at least it's trying to take itself seriously.

The issue here is that T2 was a masterpiece so people didn't appreciate what a good movie this really was.

The ending of this movie tops the endings of all franchise, you can make a case for T1 ending as well "there's a storm coming" that was a cool line.
The production company explained that the T850 material is an alloy made of coltan metal, which is actually a very durable metal for jet engines and various electronics, and I think it is a movie that has been well documented in reality.

@@iancruz6617 Yeah and it still looks better than almost any of the CGI in this film. Heck, even the first time I saw T3 when I was a kid, I thought the Terminator looked off in this scene. I never noticed the puppets in T2 until I became an adult after having seen the film so many times.

T 850 was spectacular and fundamental and in addition it is an updated version of the 800 series.
