We do not speak the same language and we are not on the same page. The first thing that America needs to learn is that we are NOT a democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic. 2. Christians are devoted to Christ and we support righteousness. We oppose sin.
Correction, the United States is both a constitutional republic AND a representative democracy. we are a republic because the executive, legislative and judicial branches share government power, and the federal government shares sovereignty with all of the state governments. We are a representative democracy because government representatives and officials at the local, state, and federal level are elected by citizens.

Our Constitution gives us the right to stand up to our government. Paul did not allow himself to be beaten because of his rights as a Roman citizen. Our law is based on the Judeo - Christian ethic. Our government is that piece of paper in a glass case in Washington DC that all elected officials put their hand on and swear to obey. We do not have a king. I will stand for what's right, period. I will obey God over tyrannical man. I will not sit by and watch this country go to Hell in a handbasket. My life is nearing its end, I want my kids and grandkids to live free. No our laws based upon English common law. It has nothing to do with so called “Judeo-Christianity”, a very modern term btw. Paul if you do forget said to obey our rulers because they were put there by God. So in many ways one could say this country was founded in rebellion of God, because it’s not like we rebelled against the British crown because they were going against God. This country was founded upon liberal secular ideology of the so called enlightenment. Lastly , no one knows the time and place when Christ will return.

In the end, I simply want proof that those who call themselves Christian Nationalists are spending more time sharing the Gospel with the lost around them than being involved with political activism. Because, frankly, that is the number one reason I take issue with this entire movement.
I completely agree. I tried to tell my dad this but he thinks "saving this country" from taxes, environmentalists, blacks, and immigrants is more important than saving souls... and I'm not even Christian, I'm Jewish! I think bringing secular people into Christianity is more important than getting involved with vain, worldly affairs. Spirituality will always be more important than the current hot political issue. So many political issues are just fads, anyway. How can we expect to change the country when we refuse to let God change us ourselves? Both the Synagogue and the Church have survived the rise and fall of world empires. There's a *reason* for this. The secret is in the sauce, and faith in God alone is the sauce. Faith transcends allegiance to flags.

As American Citizens it is our right and duty to Love, defend, fight for, and seek God's will for our Nation. To vote for officials who hold to our Christian Beliefs and values. We belong to God but we also have the duty to stand up against evil and to seek to make this a Godly Nation. Our founding fathers sought God's will for Creating this Nation, to overthrow an evil British occupation. Proverbs 3:6-16 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
And if God’s will for our Nation is wrath and destruction? Where in the Bible does God advocate for revolution against rulers, even wicked rulers, that he has put in power? Did Jesus teach his disciples to rise up against Caesar? Was Thomas Jefferson a Christian? What about Thomas Payne? Ben Franklin? Your worldview is based on many myths. The US is not God’s chosen country and even if it were, he will destroy it just as he destroyed Israel when it became Sodom and Egypt - the US has become Sodom and Egypt. All countries belong to God and the US is under his terminal judgement. It’s time to come out of Babylon and focus on the Eternal Kingdom.
Our founding fathers didn't create a nation though. As a Christian, I have to ask considering the hard truth about our founding fathers, did God's will include chasing the real Americans off their land by war, lies, and broken treaties? Was God's will also reflected by slavery? When you say things like, " our founding fathers sought God's will for Creating this Nation, to overthrow an evil British occupation. God Chose to Bless their Prayers and Petitions, and America became a nation that was blessed by God," I have to ask about such truths that we often like to look past. Thomas Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence, was a Christian In Name Only that rewrote the Bible because he believed that all of the supernatural elements were fiction. If he had lived a few centuries earlier, he would have been executed in Jesus's name as a heretic.
Our founders didn't all believe in the God of the Bible. They believed in "a god" but many were Freemasons and thus Luciferians. Our education system has either really failed in telling true history, or really succeeded in telling fake history.
Being a Christian and not hating America makes you a Christian nationalist. Christian nationalism would be a natural bye product of a country that has turned to Christ, the main focus is to evangelize and make disciples .
Christian Nationalism means the merging of church and state like in the Middle Ages, which includes people being forced to convert. It's a very dangerous idea that appeals to people who are nostalgic for the "good old days" but never actually lived through them to know how bad things really were back then.
1 Corinthians 5 means that as the Church, which is the body of people not a building, should expel sinners. Meaning that by nature, as it expands it will lead a Christian nation. Anyone ignores this essentially is saying for 1000 years Christians were wrong for expelling sinners from cities and nations.

I think the issue with Christian nationalism (nothing wrong with loving your country, voting, making your voice heard), is that it’s more nationalist and less Christian. They fight so hard for their political identity, while deteriorating their spiritual selves. Spewing all sorts of hatred towards those that disagree with their political opinion forgetting that they were made for a higher calling.

According to your own judgement there is nothing wrong with voting. It is documented FACT that the 1st century Christians didn't get involved in Rome's politics because they believed what Christ said about His Kingdom not being of this world. That is part of what made it easy for Nero to blame Christians in Rome for the fire. Satan deceives the WHOLE world(Rev. 12:9), including its politics. But do "Christian" voters believe that? No.
Every woe America is facing is the fault of the church. It's our fault because of our failures. In 2017 I got the chance to pastor for a short time at a small church. On the alter they had the Christian flag (I have never found in scripture where the Kingdom of God is said to have a flag) and the American flag with the eagle atop the flag pole. We began the service by pledging allegiance to the American flag, and then the Christian flag, and then the Bible. I've only found one of the three devotions commanded to us in our founding documents, AKA the Bible . The symbolism of having the flag on top of the podium, and the eagle on top being the highest thing in the church, and then the church starting the service with declaring our first loyalty to the flag made me uncomfortable. When God's people begin putting other things before Him and His Kingdom, He seems to pull away and let us have it. Then, if we don't correct ourselves, He takes that thing away. Our idolatry is going to be the reason why America ends.
@@acarpentersson8271 the belief that scripture tells us what we are to include in worship and does not give us permission to add or subtract. Acts 2:42 elaborates, the teaching of the word, prayer, breaking of bread and fellowship. Other passages on worship indicate that singing is to be done and everything ' decently and in good order.' The scripture does not tell us to pledge allegiance to earthly authorities in the Lord's worship service, so that is forbidden. The alternative viewpoint is the normative principle: "God didn't say we can't, so we can." But there are several cases in scripture where someone does something God didn't tell them they could and he punishes them. Nadab and Abihu. Uzzah. Saul. "See to it that you do exactly as i have commanded you." So churches that are confessionally Reformed will not have observation of national days (independence, veterans, mothers) within the service. Announcements are done before or after the service, not in it. Baptisms and communion are part of the service so they are done before it is finished. To learn more, terms elements and accidents/circumstances are used to distinguish what is approved or forbidden. We cannot change the elements of worship: confession of sin, praise, prayer, singing, preaching, fellowship , communion etc. But the circumstances are the details of what you must decide on some way or other by virtue of the fact that you need to observe the elements: do you sit, stand, lie, stand and sit, are inside or outside? Men one side and women the other or families together? Bla foke in the balcony or with everyone else? Do you have pews or chairs? Do you sing 4 part harmonies, hymns or contemporary songs? Piano accompaniment, a capella, organ, etc? Does the pastor wear a suit, clerical robes, a dress shirt, tshirt etc? Do you pass the communion plate or does everyone come up front for it? These are the circumstances and variety is inevitable because you must choose some way of doing it and can't not choose. But you will find that these churches don't pass the plate either, because that's also not part of worship. Basically i am criticizing the lumping of two very different factions of people into one group of CNs: the evangelical churches and the confessionally reformed. Most of your criticisms and concerns will be relevant to the former and not the latter.
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Do you want to accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior? :) 😊
What all the arguments miss is sphere sovereignty! True “Christian nationalism” is not competing with the kingdom of God or the church. It’s merely a call for the state to act as the deacon of God as commanded in Romans 13, because Christ is King over the state. The question in all of this is…by what standard will the state govern? Whose standard should be used? When writing laws, who has ultimate authority in determining if a law is good or not? Where is truth found? Who is perfect, Holy, most wise? True flourishing is found in God’s wisdom, not ours. Paganism, humanism, secularism, and any other religion are all lies and therefore have no right to be used as a framework for governing. The label is adopted, because just by saying what I said above, I will be labeled a “Christian Nationalist”. If you disagree, please argue how God is pleased and societies will flourish with ideas that are contrary to God’s word!!

@@MetroplexAerials How am I any less inspired than Paul? I do think I'm too arrogant, and that's not a good sign, but that was one of Paul's biggest flaws too.
I can appreciate where that comes from, but I think it breaks down as soon we we think about most Christians throughout history. Many Christians even to this day don't live in a country where they can have any sort of say in what the government does or how it works. So how then is it part of being a Christian to make sure that nations do what God wants nations to do? I don't see the Bible as anywhere instructing Christians on how they should influence their government because--they couldn't. And throughout the Bible, even God Himself, rather than preventing wicked nations from doing wicked things, chose instead to use the nations--in all their wickedness--for His own purposes.
Glory, Honor, blessings, thanks and praise to the Lord my God, for healing my heart during a heart attack! On March 26th 2022, just past midnight, I was laying restless in bed, and I had a heart attack. My arms and legs became tingly and numb, then my chest got tighter, and then my heart felt like it was being crushed. So I sang out to God and Jesus, about my pain, my feelings, my faults and my inabilities. As I sang, I began to feel like a river, and a hand was on my back, it's fingers where skimming the surface, separating the waters, causing ripples through my body. Then the hand reached inside my chest, lit my heart on fire, and the heat moved like waves through my body. When I was done singing, all the pain was gone, and I looked at the clock, it was past 1am, I had been singing near an hour. Then the voice of my guardian angel called my name from above, and there was a hymn of energy in the air, the same hymn I hear in my dreams of God. Hallelujah to the Lord my God for healing my heart! Hallelujah for His son Jesus for saving my soul! Hallelujah for every day! Hallelujah for every breath! The Lord is Faithful and true! May the Lord Bless your hearts, so that you have the will and strength to turn from selfish sins, and flee from the slaveries of the flesh!
I agree with John MacArthur‘s position on Christian nationalism, but I do think that Christian’s should advocate for laws that protect children, families, society in general. I also think that Christian nationalism means different things to different people. The progressive media uses the term as a slur, to put Christians in a category, to scare Christians from participating in the political process. The name calling tactic has been used for centuries to divide society and pit people against one another.
You just described what the left means by Christian nationalism. I, for one, am a Christian nationalist. When they call me a Christifascist, I will own that too. Don't bother me none.
Why do we need more laws when the Laws from GOD already existed from beginning. What we need is to repent and turn from our ways. Mans laws wont be able to protect who you listed. That statement you written is evident on where you put your faith in. It should be placed in Christ not the laws of Man hence why we are here now seeing the Lord judging America and its inhabitance becaue we place our faith in creation instead of the creator and walking in disobedience.
This misses the point of should Christian’s be involved in politics or not. Why would you not want to affect the culture. Here is a quote. The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.
That is what I have been contemplating. Can genuine Christians get involved in politics? For example, if there is a school board position open, should we try to fill that seat in order to have an influence on our children’s education? Should we call our congressmen to express how we feel about certain bills? Or do we just pray and vote?
@@christinesolus2630 I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with sending letters/phone calls to congressmen and/or talking to the school boards, or attempting to get on a school board, no. I think what most Christians are trying to say, is don't get too wrapped up in politics that you get into arguments with other people, especially Christians when you disagree on who the best candidate is, etc. I've seen it happen where one Christian will go "I like this guy" and another Christian will go "pfft, that guy is better" and then they start bickering. Politics has a way of doing that. Vote with your heart, in accordance with Scripture. If you're going to vote, find out what a candidate's views are, if they are more godly than the other candidate, etc.

Christianity is the only way to save America, but the problem is that Catholic and Protestant voters refuse to believe that it needs to happen _God's_ way. Both of those groups are arrogant enough to believe that they're representing God when the reality is that they're representing their own will. Their tragicomedy of it all is that it is easy to prove that their religions, traditions, and beliefs aren't even based on what is in the Bible.

I have always been patriotic. I appreciate and value our police officers and military. I am so thankful I grew up in America. I vote and keep up with politics. All this, but I follow Christ first. America was founded on Christian values but that doesn’t make it a Christian nation. Look around, most follow a god in their own minds but not the God in the Bible. The majority do not believe in truth, truth is only in Christ. I still love my country, but there is nowhere in the Bible that I am to place my faith on men or a country, I place my faith in God alone to the Glory of God alone.
It is interesting how the dispensational premillennial zionists disagree with Christian nationalism but get all gaga for Jewish nationalism. They fight tooth and nail and trip all over the Bible to make room in their eschatology for apostate physical descendantcy to have earthly power but disavow the idea the King Jesus is exalting, correcting, and building his Church now, bringing everything under His authority -even through earthly men/rulers/authorities when it doesn't go the way we think it ought.
@@machellechristensen8343 the thing that changed my mind about these things was reading my Bible in English. I grew up DPE but about as soon as I put down the KJ/NKJ and picked up a NIV (maybe 2 yrs) it became so clear that a lot of things were not as complicated as the preacher made them.
A primary characteristic of an authentic Christian is “the love of righteousness,” and to support that which is righteous, in your personal life, family, and government. The idea that we can worship in our basements but should not positively influence our society is demonic.
1st of all there is no such thing as a hierarchy of Righteousness. Just like there is no such thing as a "good" Christian. Christ sacrificed himself to redeem mankind redemption is Christianity. You cannot be more of less redeemed. Therefore nobody can be more or less righteous cause we all sin and all sins are equal to God weather it's something you do in public or in secret nobody but God himself can make someone more. That makes the term Good Christian impossible. We are all human beings and we can never live up levels of Christianity not while we're in this earth.
I agree with Doug on most things and rarely with Todd and John. Yet here I side with the latter. 1.The term Christian Nationalism was invented by the left as a trap for Christians... to accuse their proselisizing or political activism as some sort of treasonous J6 event. 2.secondly, and as a consequence, the doctrine is unbiblical, by definition. Anything invented by the left is not of God, but most of the time, by Satan. 3. The Christian community is too small to achieve the type of majorities to amend the Constitution to bring about this 'Christian Prince' that CNs talk about, so its futile to try without first doing the evangelising and discipling that we biblically ARE supposer to do. 4. I despise theocratic rulers, they are overbearing, unaccountable and bring out the worst that is in the Faith. The historical record is clear that constitutional secular societies founded on biblical values with religous freedom is superior to theocratic states and I cant understand why anyone would think a theocracy would be better.
Paul teaches in Act 17:26 that God created nations, citing Deu 32:8. Also Paul teaches in Rom 13 that governing authorities should be obeyed because God institutes all authorities. Now what if Christian settlers arrive to create a new colony where no government is present, what should they do? They should off course institute a governing authority. That is what the Christians did through the famous Mayflower Compact! This compact was one of the examples for the Founding Fathers. Nationalism means that fellow citizens and their country should care for the interests of all governed citizens and not squander these to foreigners. You can easily conclude that from Deu 15:3, 17:15, 23:20 and other places in the OT.
this is where I diverge from Todd and JMac. We don't have a choice. Christ is king -period. We're not talking about forcing people to be Christians, but rather giving presence and priority to Christ. What's the alternative? Atheism? Hinduism? Matthew 28 is clear we are to baptize and teach the nations
Christ telling His followers to be salt and light has nothing to do with being involved in politics. It really just emphasizes what i said about religious voters trying to enforce their own will by claiming it's God's will. Christ was clearly talking about how a Christian should show God's character to the world through the way they live. It is obviously not a call to be involved in this world's politics when He wasn't.
Yes, always let your light shine in whatever country you happen to be living in, but do not allow yourself to become entangled with the worldly and secular affairs of this life: Scripture is very clear on this point: *2 Timothy 2:3-4 (NLT)* 3. Man's government is a means for man to have a relationship with man, in a just and fair way. God's government is a means for man to have a relationship with God, in a just and fair way. We can't have Love God without the Love People. When we sin, we sin against people, which is sinning against God. WE are the government in America. We are the issues related to it. How we get along is what it's all about. Self Governing, the consent of the people. We the People. And if God created this earth to be inhabited by people, this IS your home.

@Realitytime2024 Thank you for your response. I apologize for how I worded all that. I'm a USN Vet from the Reagan days, so I get a bit miffed when people say that this isn't their home. In our founding, Christians defected the church of England. The whole idea of that wall was that the goverment can't tell the church how to conduct business. But church goers are citizens, they are we the people, and as such, Christians can tell the goverment how to conduct their business. Of the people, for the people, by the people. That was the concept. So when the concept of, "This is not my home" crept in, Christians allowed our goverment to be corrupt, as they didn't do anything to stop it. God's government is about a relationship with God. Man's government is about a relationship with man, both with justice in dealing fairly with others.

What is going to be the denomination of Christian nationalism going to be when the dust settles? How will you react when the hate driving your movement runs out of enemies and turns its eye to you and your denomination for total ideological alignment? Remember why our country was founded. If you want to convert through force then it is hate. How do I know this? Because just like YOU cannot FORCE someone to LOVE YOU, you cannot FORCE someone to love God. Forcing someone into something they do not believe through mandate in THE NAME OF GOD will only serve to push people further away, and when your movement resorts to cruelty to quell dissent (just like every single theocracy in history) those atrocities will be remembered in Gods name, that they were carried out in gods name, thus pushing people farther from God. Hence why Jesus preached love of all regardless of sin. Jesus calls upon us to serve through love, not become Christ himself. Hence the whole “my kingdom is not of this earth”. We should view history as we do our personal history, our past. Don’t forget why we came to America. Don’t forget what the scripture actually says with context. “The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie. "One word of truth outweighs the world.” Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
The kingdom of God is among man. This is Christ's world, as He told us that "all authority in heaven and on Earth has been given unto Me" (Christ). It's His world. I'm a Christian and I want what's best for the nation. Sounds like I'm a Christian nationalist just by default.
CN isn't about advancing the Kingdom of God, it's about rulers glorifying and submitting to Him and living within the constraints of a society that does the same. We cannot divorce ourselves from politics when we serve the Lord and vote for righteousness - our very vote is an act of Christian Nationalism, otherwise it's a vote for darkness. Once again, it is not about bringing in the Kingdom of Christ, it's about being a nation that serves Christ and doing what's right. I love all you guys, so I say this with great respect: You've created a strawman in saying that CN is attached to post-mil.
If you believe in being salt and light, you might be a "Christian nationalist" If you believe in praying "Your kingdom come, your will be done ON EARTH as in Heaven" you might be a "Christian nationalist" If you agree with Benjamin Franklin that "the things that make men good Christians make them good citizens" you might be a "Christian nationalist" If you believe that "the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing" then you might be a "Christian nationalist" If you believe that "when the righteous rule the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule the people mourn" then you might be a "Christian nationalist" If you believe that "blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" then you might be a "Christian nationalist" If you believe in calling good, good, evil, evil and sin, sin then you might be a "Christian nationalist" If you believe in fighting against the antichrist globalization then you might be a "Christian nationalist" Or you just might simply be... a patriotic Christian. ✝🙏
No all your trying to do is the same thing the nicolations did use God name under the pretence of a fancy name that contradict and goes against scripture. All The action you descriped that came from the Word of GOD is tied to being a follower of Christ which as scripture defines it as WALKING IN OBEDIENCE not christion nationalwhatever dont you dare twist the two being the same because its NOT. Call me whatever but I am warning you stop because its unbiblical. The LORD don't need man to try create a new word and attach scripture to it. Its called fallacy when you do that. If what you say is true, then America wouldnt be under judgement. Dont attempt to defend this sysytem because from day 1 of its existance, it rejects order and it would be foollish to think otherwise.
Ben Franklin was many things but a Christian wasn’t one of them. Delete the word nationalist from most of your statements and they are true. Then why add something to the teachings of Christ? Christian Nationalism isn’t Christianity.
When I hear "Christian Nationalism," I think about The Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 and I honestly wish more sound and respected Christian voices were discussing it. It's like Neo-Facism in the name of Christianity vs Neo-Marxism .... also claiming Christianity. Nonsense. But I dont use that term because its arbitrary.
Having been a Republican most of my life until recently, when I turned more to the word of God over the failed political promises and fear the GOP has taught, I find this hijacking of the Christian faith for political gain that we have seen since Ralph Reed's conversion to be truly alarming. I see a lot of hypocrisy in it. One of the reasons I have distanced myself from the GOP is it claims it is the party for Christians, but the more I read the Bible, the more it comes across as the modern-day Pharisees.
@@owlfethurz8377 Oh man, it's a lot. The shortest version I can think of is that its a, I think 90 page, mandate created by the famously shady Heritage Foundation and many NAR "neoEvangelicals" who want to remerge Church and State and force their version of "Christianity" into federal law, including Sunday Laws, which people are pushing for across the world at record highs that will enforce a mandatory shut down of All commerce on Sundays- which has SDA up in arms, of course. There's so much more to it, but thats def what I think when I think Christian Nationalism. Rep for The Heritage Foundation have openly said they plan to "mobilize an army" to "take back the country" and other concerning things. Like, aside from financial backing from NAR leaders, the fact they're tied in with factions like Proud Boys, the plant Nick Fuentes, Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA- which is progressive-conservatism (in practice, embracing LGBTQiA+ "leaders") masquerading under the guise of Christianity. In my opinion, it a messy overcorrection...which the US is unnecessarily good at lol. But I can literally only find people on the "left" and SDAs complaining about Zionism and Sunday Laws, talking about it.
@@owlfethurz8377 Sorry, I tried. The algorithm has been deleting my comments lately. Anyway, the most condensed version I can think of is that its a 90 (or more, I can't remember) page mandate that plans to "mobilize like-minded people" to "take back the country, and make America a Christian Nation, by any means necessary." It's backed financially by NAR "leaders" and other affiliates of The Heritage Foundation, who want to remerge church and state and force things like mandatory Sunday worship observance- which has SDA up in arms- that stops ALL commerce on Sunday, among other things.
@@owlfethurz8377 I have tried 3x already hahaha Ok, let me see... It's a mandate by The Heritage Foundation and NAR "leaders" that want to remerge Church+State and "Make America a Christian Nation, by any means necessary," according to Paul Dans, I think it was. The only people talking about it, though, are highly-biased Left leaning folks and SDA members, because Project 2025 includes federally enforced Sunday Law, which shut down ALL commerce on Sunday, "for worship."
Where are the Bible verses for secular democracy Todd? This whole video is so chock full of category errors it is mind blowing. You make Jesus king of the ethereal spirit realm but not the physical cosmos. This is only a couple of degrees away from Gnosticism and a denial of Christ lordship over material reality. Christ is king of all kings and the nations are His inheritance. The rulers are commanded to kiss the son lest He be angry. All regenerate Christians are Christian nationalist. Why wouldn’t a Christian want a nation filled with followers of Christ with just laws that seek to glorify God? This is just straw manning nonsense on your part Todd as well as John and it is sad to see. In other words. Ngmi

First off….the USA is not a Democracy, we’re a Constitutional Republic. These are two vastly different forms of government. Really would like to see this addressed by these pastors
The scriptures (The Bible) gives us a clear understanding of the purpose of the church in this earth. God uses believers to be witnesses of Christ, for the purpose of leading whosever will believe in Him, to be saved out of this world. He's going to destroy it and create a new Heaven and New Earth. This is the message of the Kingdom of God! It has nothing to do with America or any other country, nor any politics. Jesus does not need or use any politician to do anything for His Kingdom. He's building His Church Himself, through the witness of all Born-Again believers, who truly Love God with all Their Hearts, Mind and Souls. Galatians chapter 1 verse 4. 2nd Timothy chapter 2-verse 4.
Thank you for your like. I especially thank you because if you have noticed, that many of the comments on this channel have many likes, yet this comment has 1 like, which is of course is yours. (Praises Be To God). I'm humbly asking you to consider that there are many celebrated and uncelebrated ministers in this country and the world, yet few of them actually preaches the meat and bones TRUTH of the Bible. This leads to a multitude of religious people with vast divisions, thereby making the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD of non-effect in the Earth. Please understand the "SERIOUSNESS" of Jesus's message. (Unless a person is Born-Again by faith in His atonement, they "will PERISH " for eternity. This indeed is a hard pill to swallow, yet it is Jesus's message. He has delegated all Born-Again believers to declare this message, by word and deed, by Loving God with all Our Hearts Minds and Souls and Loving Our Neighbors As Ourselves, by the power of the Holy Spirit. I have 1like for the aforementioned comment, which is your's. It reminds me that Jesus said " STRIVE TO ENTER INTO THE STRAIT GATE! FOR FEW WILL FIND IT. Blessings!
So we shouldn’t preach the gospel and repentance and faith to our legislators? And they shouldn’t carry out their authority under submission to Christ and His word? A Christian parent should parent honoring Christ, a Christian employee should work honoring Christ, a Christian business owner should conduct business honoring Christ, and our civil magistrates should govern honoring Christ.
@AlignWithJesus I seriously doubt that you will ever hear any kind of public official that is running for office, to run on the platform of telling people that the most important thing in this life is to be born-again. Much less teach the principles of Jesus, like ,love your enemies, think on others as better than yourselves, be ambassadors for Christ, lend without expecting recompense, love your neighbor as you love yourself, and sooooo..... many more. The Kingdom of God is not of this world, and if you'll read 2nd Timothy chapter 2-verse 2, you will understand my point. Only the Body of Christ promotes the Gospel of Christ: Romans chapter 1 verse 16. And promote the Gospel of the Kingdom of God: Mark chapter 1 verse 14. Ministers of God preach the True Gospel that is not popular in the the world. Jesus said that whoever does not believe in Him will perish. Most of these so-called ministers don't really believe that hard truth. That is why they never preach about being witnesses of Christ in this condemned world. The bible teaches us that we are ambassadors, witnesses, ministers of reconciliation. These wolves don't teach these things. Be like the bereans, and study calvinism. These heretics teach that Jesus DID NOT die for the sins of ALL humanity! And that's just one of the many heresies that they teach. Calvinism is a false doctrine. Paul explains it in 2nd Corinthians chapter 11.
"My kingdom is not of this world." Okay, we agree on that...but that doesn't mean we, as a nation and society, cannot or should have our Christian faith as a focal point of identity and the main reference point for our morality and law. In fact, that was the given for Christian Europe for centuries as well as a basic foundation for the Golden Triangle of Freedom (Faith, Morality, and Liberty) that was a main idea to how America was supposed to be run (yes, despite some of them being deists themselves, the Founding Fathers understood that America's law and culture relied on America having a primarily Christian population). Further, I'd argue that because law and culture influence individual life and vice versa, it'd only be natural that if a nation a has the Christian religion as the basis of its worldview and morality, its only natural that we should want to accordingly shape culture and law. As for the type of governance or society not effecting the gospel or the cause of the kingdom...Imagine you have a nation where the Church is providing for the schooling and is influencing how mothers and fathers raise and teach their children at home compared to Islamic or Soviet Style Marxist education. Do you think the kids who grow up in that scenario will think and reason the same way, or generally will be equally ready to accept the gospel? Regarding no biblical reference, the same argument can and has been made against democracy. I defy anyone to give us a verse saying Jesus is for republicanism (the government formation, not the party). Personally, I'm a constitutional monarchist, but I would take the lack of governmental outlines as an outgrowth of the fact that Christ came to save and sanctify people on a personal level, and so government structure is allowed to be malleable according to the needs of a nation...though looking at the ordinances in the Old Testament should give us some universal principals to govern by. For example, in Exodus, the government has the duty punish crime, including giving death to murderers. Interestingly, however, thieves literally paid for their crime in terms of legally earning money to pay it back several times over, not rotting away in prison where they'd often spend years in the company of more hardened criminals. One might wonder if that would be an improvement on our way of handling things. As for this using law and culture in this manner being "alien" to Christianity...This might be shocking to some, but I think there's an overemphasis on trying to recapture the era of the early church. That was a period of periodic persecution where Christians had to meet in irregular locations such as their houses, out of doors, or even in sewers, and prospective evangelists had to be careful who they talked too, lest they end up in prison (again, though, it varied by time and location). The idea of a "church" as a building set aside for worship and edification didn't even pop up until the time of Constantine and those were modeled off of old Roman basilicas that functioned as markets, courts, and places to venerate the Cult of the Emperor's Genius (long story, but the Romans didn't worship their emperor's but rather the paternal spirit that worked through said emperors...again, long story). This is actually why old Churches were called Basilicas. That said, I don't hear any baptists or other denominations arguing they should get rid of their expensive buildings, give the money to evangelistic and charitable efforts, and focus on worshiping in impromptu locations again. The church made progress and its practices changed, while also effecting changes on society as reflected in everything from holidays to social morality to developments effecting just war theory and governance, as well as the scientific revolution and millions of other factors we take for granted today. There's no point in going back to a time prior to such advancements, or trying to act as the Church in an era of Church history that is now past. "Consider the infighting." Yes, people are nasty and sometimes they get nasty due to religious disagreements. In the past century, we instead got nasty over supposedly secular disagreements such as free trade capitalism vs centralized socialist planning (then again, that was over a lot more than business). The fact that unpleasant and even tragic outcomes can arise when people fight over their worldviews or that abuses can arise due to the fact people up till less than three centuries ago naturally wanted their nation religiously and culturally united does not mean that desire is incorrect or should not be acted upon, balanced of course by a philosophic stance of only changing or adapting said beliefs when fact, argument, and in this case scripture dictate such a change is necessary. As for eschatology, I'm just going to keep this one short: my stance is that like the believers who looked forward to the coming of the Messiah with hope and visions of the what He would do, yet none among men, angels, or fallen angels knew his plan in full because if they had, the latter would never have had Him killed, we only have glimpses of the future to look at as an assurance that God has sovereignty and will turn all things to the good of those who love him and the fulfillment of His good works unto the very end, but we (and I don't care what stance you take on the end, this applies to you too) do not have a definitive idea of what it will look like and we only waste our time by playing guessing games. For this place and this time, our duties involve working and letting ourselves be transformed by His word and Spirit (let God determine how much is a natural outgrowth of His work in us and how much of our sanctification is willful action on our part), playing a part in the ministry of the Church as we actively love each other, and sharing the gospel with those around us. How that plays out in national law and culture probably will vary, but again, its kind of hard to want to see the people of a nation become Christians and adopt a Christian worldview, but for these things to not then play out in terms of governance, law, morality, learning, and culture (yes, compared to how far I could have gone, that was short).
Not only that, but He said if it WAS, then His servants would fight. Just like Paul exercised his Roman citizenship, it's not wrong for an American to defend the country that they belong to.
@@MetroplexAerials Thank you. By the way I had a brain fart that I fixed: It's golden triangle of freedom: Faith, Morality, and Liberty. Faith needs liberty to be truly exercised of one's own volition. Liberty needs Morality to prevent excess, licentiousness and abuse. Morality needs faith to give it form and outline what is right and wrong as well as the rights men and women should have ("We hold these truth's to be self-evident" after all).
"Not of this world" does not mean "not in this world". "Of" does not equal "in". Get it? The Kingdom's substance is not like the world but is the Kingdom here ....in this world? Yes. On the sermon on the Mount it was at hand and would come before that generation passed away.
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on EARTH as it IS in HEAVEN. Christian Nationalism is about having the gospel infantry every element of our lives, and that means including politics. It's not the idea of building a Utopia it's about the idea of not neglecting the gospel to infiltrate politics just because it's politics. Art, film, politics, your everyday job, schools. The gospel must infiltrate everywhere. MacArthur I think is missing the point of what Christian nationalism really is.
@@10SMaxx-e5j It's one of the huge problems I have with Wretched. Matthew 24:37-39 King James Version 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. @CynicalWolverine false, but if it was the case, then greater "blame" can be placed upon postmillenialism and amillenialism, with their hands all over government, and way older than dispensational premellianism. Wouldn't you agree?
There is no definition of Christian nationalism. It’s not a term I’d choose, but I can roll with it. It’s far preferable to pagan nationalism. I’m glad that the early Christians didn’t accept the defeatist attitude promoted by MacArthur.
Honestly. I love Dr. MacArthur, but disagree with him there. Why would Paul bother preaching to Caesar himself if he thought the whole world was going to hell in a hand basket anyways
"Christian nationalism" is a straw-man boogeyman created by the globalists looking to control the world through central banking rather than by the ethnic nations system established by God in Genesis 11. It's just another very successful way Satan attacks the fledgling remnants of the heritage of Christianity in our nation. Christian nationalism is every bit as unbiblical as the melting pot approach to nationalism.
That is actually borderline racist. I don't say that often, but if I read you correctly it needs to be said here. First of all, Genesis was never meant to be taken literally. Second, Genesis 11 contains no mention of God creating an ethnic nation system.
Ah crystal I disagree whole heartedly with your take on genesis, it is to be taken literally and the confusion God instituted at the tower of babel put the different ethnicities in the world. Different languages and I believe skin tone variations came from that time as well.
Would just like to say that Paul used his Roman citizenship more than once in the book of Acts. And Christians should be more involved in politics than just voting. John MacArthur is very good on most things but he's not infallible.
I am 100% a Christian nationalist and I meet almost none of the criteria that MacArthur espouses there as constituting Christian nationalism. Christian nationalism simply means that you are a Christian and you care about your nation. The other options besides Christian nationalism are either Christian tribalism, Christian globalism, pagan nationalism, pagan tribalism, or pagan globalism. If you don't want paganism and you don't want tribalism or globalism, you are left with Christian nationalism. True Christian nationalists don't actually want to use the government to force people to practice Christianity. The idea is that Christianity will grow and flourish and that the government will be positively influenced as a result and will be peopled with Christians. MacArthur is putting the egg before the chicken here whereas Christian nationalism wants to put the chicken before the egg. The chicken is that the gospel goes out into all the world and all the nations and spreads, making Christians. Those changes result in Nations acting on behalf of their own good, as Christians. it is easy to measure whether someone is implementing Christian nationalism correctly. You just ask whether Jesus would be happy with what is going on. Does Jesus love abortion? Does Jesus care about honoring the Sabbath? Does Jesus care about foul language in the public and grooming children for sex Christian nationalism simply means to implement laws that are in accord with best practices based on Christian faith because the people in office and the people who have voted for the people in office are actual christians.
By your definition, Christian Nationalism is basically the result of effective evangelism on a national scale. Where the majority are genuine disciples of Christ. That looks a lot like what Jesus prayed for: "Your Kingdom come. Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven."
Maybe John Mac is a "Christian nationalist" since he fought as an American against the covid shut-downs and also criticized o'bummer in the past. But then again, he IS a calvinist. Que sera sera, whatever will be will be. No need to utilize our civil rights to resist evil.
The future is written in the book of Revelation. There is absolutely nothing anyone can do about that except the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As so there is no fight, protest or debate left in that respect because we know the outcome. Saving souls is all that is required. The unsaved are what we should focus on, helping to build the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen
Romans 11:25-26 "For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery-so that you will not be wise in your own estimation-that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so that all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob." On that day, the Jewish people will be all God intended as the Messiah will establish His rightful throne in a literal and renewed Jerusalem. 👑 ✝️🙏🌱🕊️🩵🤍
I'm proud of John MacArthur for standing up to Christian Nationalism. That's not typical of him, at least as I've observed (in the past he's even said he's against religious freedom!).
Is Caesar accountable to God? If so, then the implication is Caesar should be governing obediently to God. That verse is taken out of context. Jesus is not saying Caesar is right to operate contrary to Him. He’s saying that what is lawful for the government to do (levy taxes), obey, but clearly we see in the New Testament that the apostles actively disobeyed when the government requires what was unlawful for the government to require!
During Ester's day if the Jews had told Ester "don't get your religion involved in politics before the king, there are no verses in the Torah that say that we should seek to have our values and lives represented before the king of Assyria." Israel would've been outside the will of God. In the end Jesus does come back and does restore the earth and establish His Kingdom. It is for us to work towards this goal even if before then we are persecuted and slain because of our faith. Neither Jesus nor the apostles ever fell silent on God's truth before earthly kings and social elite, one apostle even almost convinced an emperor to believe in Jesus. Christian nationalism is the mechanism that allowed the gospel to travel the world and to save and civilize the heathenous.
If you're so concerned with what Jews would do, and if the Jewish example justifies your perspective, then why do you not agree with Jewish nationalism? Let me guess.... "cuz Jesus"?
@@TzaddikMedia Jewish people already have a nation state it's called Israel, however they reject God and choose progressivism and secularism, further they reject God by rejecting the Son of God Jesus Christ. It’s important to make the distinction that a country is defined by its borders, but a nation is defined by its people. Converting people to Christians (which is what we’re called to do) means making a nation, a people of Christians, so if you are a Christian, then by definition you’re a nationalist because you’re supposed to make disciples, which will make you a nation of Christian people. You can’t be a Christian and support a “live and let live” multicultural society where people from all different beliefs and backgrounds live together (which is unfortunately what has happened to many western countries in recent years because of mass immigration), because some cultures are better than others, and Jesus himself said that he didn’t come to bring peace, but a sword. He didn’t want everyone with different religious beliefs to live together in harmony, he came to conquer and destroy pagan religions and false gods.
@@conservaliberaltarian2753 Care to explain how? We are called to make disciples, and a nation is defined by the people that compose it, so by converting people to Christians, you make a nation of Christians, which in turn, makes you a nationalist. There's nothing wrong with that logic. The alternative to Nationalism is Globalism, and the last time people tried to establish a globalist one-world government (the tower of babel), God intervened and separated us. And if we try to do that again, it will fail again.
O kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; sing praises to the Lord, Selah to him who rides in the heavens, the ancient heavens; behold, he sends out his voice, his mighty voice. I'm a bit confused. At the 3:12 mark, Dr. MacArthur mentioned nations described as "Communist", "Muslim" and "Atheist", but he asserts that a nation cannot be described as Christian? Seems inconsistent to me. What does he mean by "Muslim" nation, or "Atheist" nation? Only people, according to his standard, can be "Muslim" or "Atheist", not nations, correct?
Actually in Islam Allah calls for Muslims to use military force to forward the cause, so their kingdom is of this world. I’m not sure there can be an atheist nation though.

Biblical ideas I’ve had to look into in the last month Rapture anxiety? Oddest problem ever Christian nationalism Dispensationalism Far right Christian fundamentalism A vast plethora of replacement theologies and a plethora of arguments on prophecies that have no been fulfilled yet but it is claimed they have been ( the war in Ezekiel 37,38) Suddenly people have forgotten the Bible or stopped reading it. Of all things I absolutely can not figure out or even come to some extent of an idea - Christian antisemitism… you can not love Jesus and hate his people. It’s a very disturbing thing going on and it is divisive within the church and it simply should not be. If one everlasting convent as been disregarded then christains have no hope in their convent being upheld. It’s a theology of lunacy.
The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 5v12 said "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church?". Meaning I believe, we have no mandate to legislate righteousness in the secular world. Had that verse but been obeyed by people claiming to be Christians, a lot of blood shed and senseless argument might have been avoided.
As a Christian, your faith must extend to and encompass every area of your life, including who you vote for, what kind of government you should want and vouch for, etc. Paul said we will judge the world and even rebukes the Christians of his time for not being competent enough to constitute their own law courts (1 Cor. 6:1-2). The Bible speaks of the kingdom growing endlessly and encompassing all. Israel was given hundreds of laws they were to use to structure their judicial system on, and as far as I know, most of those laws were never overturned in the new testament, they are framework for how a nation should be governed and how it should govern its people. Christ has dominion over everything, not just people, it's a result of dispensationalist escapist pessimistic thinking that leads many astray into thinking that the world doesn't matter. Instead of inviting a bunch of premill people to agree to your points Todd, you should invite people like Gary Demar to challenge your assertions.

"AMERICA IS NOT A DEMOCRACY AND NEVER WAS MEANT TO BE, IT IS TRULY A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC AS PUT INTO PLACE BY OUR FOUNDING FORE FATHER'S AS IN THE FOUNDING AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF OUR GREAT NATION TO BE KNOWN AS THE REPUBLIC OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 🇺🇸, AND IT'S VERY IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE TO TRULY KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!".
The problem with "two Kingdom" theology is that it completely discounts the impact the "kingdom of heaven" has on earth. So Christ's Spiritual Kingdom is growing and "all the nations" are being brought under his feet, but that has NO impact on how we organize our governments? It is astonishing to me that MacArthur would make a statement like he did. "nothing in that nation politically, socially has anything to do with the Kingdom of God. Because the kingdom of God is separate from that system." The "state" and "the Kingdom of Heaven" ARE distinct, but they have NOTHING to do with each other? That is obviously false on it's face. That is a really bad take from MacArthur. Christians in the west are in for a rude awakening when they finally realize that they SHOULD have been supporting explicitly Christian laws and policies in Government rather than some impossible, supposedly "neutral" position. What should our laws be based on? "Natural Law"? That is idolatry. Our political systems should be subordinate to the principles of God's law. There is no "middle" position. We either openly submit our political systems to God, or they are pagan, anti-God institutions. We are beginning to see the fruit of that in the west.
My thoughts: Godly men should persue government positions (remember KING David? Or KING Solomon? Maybe KING Jehu from 2 KINGS rings a bell?) I say Christians should go for gold, like Sen. Deevers has by introducing legislation to ban p○rn, abolish abortion, etc. He is using his authority to do godly things and that isn't a bad thing! To be transparent, I am an independent Baptist who believes in a post-trib, pre-wrath rapture and a literal millennial kingdom that will be established on earth so that Christ can reign as he rightfully should. I do NOT believe it is even possible to turn America into a Christian nation, because the Constitution prohibits the government from showing favor to any religious sect and from mandating the observance of a government religion (cough cough Evolution cough cough). This does NOT prohibit Christians in government positions from establishing laws founded upon biblical precepts, which is where I stand as a "Christian Nationalist".
I wholeheartedly agree. As long as Christians prioritize growth in their spiritual life and fellowship with Christ and His church body first and foremost, then I think there is nothing wrong with trying to stand for the truth in your country. In fact, I even see it as a way to show the people of your country what Godly leadership looks like. Christians that quote... "we are not of this world" and use that as a means to justify isolating ourselves from political issues that publicly attack and mock our Creator have completely failed to understand how we as Christians may not be of this world, but we are definitely told by God to be lights in the world. Before David was a king he stood up against the Philistines and Goliath when they were mocking God. This world needs more Christians who are willing to make a public stand against evil like David and lead.
@@christinegeary4877 You read it correctly, and I'm happy to explain. The tribulation is what the world does to Christians, i.e. Jacob's trouble. The Day of Christ is when the sun goes black and the moon turns blood red and all the Christians who survived the great tribulation and didn't fall away get raptured out. The day of the LORD (i.e. "That day", or the "70th week of Daniel" in the Bible) is when God pours out judgment on the world in his wrath. If you're still curious, look up Dr. Kent Hovind who goes into depth on the post-tribulation, pre-wrath rapture.
I have only two semi-qualms with McArthur's statement (and a half, the half is about post-mil, I have no real qualms with post mil, my pastor is post-mil (though he's also been called optimistic A-mil), I'm solid A-mil.) It's primarily from the books of the Kings. The sins which sent Israel and Judah into exile were both introduced by their kings. (Jeroboam's calves, which was never removed, and Manasseh, which was the tipping point when God decided to send Judah into exile) Furthermore, in many (though not every) case, the government was one of the leading voices and forces behind reformation (think Hezekiah, Jehoshaphat, and, while Josiah himself was the Godliest king in Judah, his reforms didn't turn the hearts of the people. The reverse was also true in Judah, where the usurper Athaliah was overthrown by a popular revolt led by the priests and levited, and the rightful king (Joash) restored. There is interplay, but it's not structural (think Uzziah's downfall). Popular revival will have an impact on the government. The decrees of Caesar (Godly or no) will have an impact on the church (MacArthur himself will probably testify to this.) Is our purpose to build a "Christian nation"? No. Should we desire that our nation be Christian? Yes, not just ours, but all the world. (Through preaching, not the sword) Do Godly leaders and politicians help that desire? Yes. Do ungodly leaders hinder Christ's kingdom? Yes and no. No in that, in the end, "I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Also "the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church " Yes in the sense that it may cause many to become unfaithful and/or apostatize, as it did with Jeroboam and Manasseh.
Hearty AMEN! This current political cult- that encompasses both (or all) "sides"- is most troubling to me, I feel burdened often. Can't even have a regular conversation with folks anymore. Put Jesus first and the conversation either ends abruptly or goes nasty.
We the people includes Christians. Our Founding Fathers held to the Bible, though a number of them were probably unsaved. Jesus lived under a Roman emperor, not a Constitutional Republic. The Bible does not bar Christians from serving in government. BUT, Christians must evangelize and spread the Gospel and moral truths of Scripture.
Thomas Jefferson, the founding father that wrote the Declaration of Independence, was a heretic that rewrote the Bible because while he supported the moral teachings of Jesus, he believed that Jesus was merely a mortal man and the supernatural elements of the Bible were fiction.
For me it's not a question of arguing that America was formed as a Christian nation, or should be a Christian nation or theocracy today. And yes, America may not be around in the actual end times, whether those times be soon or centuries from now. And yes Christians will be persecuted more and more as end times draw nearer. Nor is it about even being Christian or not. What this issue is really about is preserving - for as long as possible - the experiment we call "The Great American Experiment" as the best hope of all mankind as they live out their earthly lives on this planet; Christian and non-Christian alike. Every person of every stripe, color and creed on earth has a stake in preserving this experiment. And as for Christians themselves, I also believe they can be soldiers in recruiting new believers to enter into the Kingdom of God, and at the same time be soldiers and participants in this earthly kingdom by supporting efforts to defend that which is right and good against the ever present plans for evil that plague our world. That's how I see it anyway.

Correction, the United States is both a constitutional republic AND a representative democracy.

And throughout the Bible, even God Himself, rather than preventing wicked nations from doing wicked things, chose instead to use the nations--in all their wickedness--for His own purposes.

just past midnight,
I was laying restless in bed,
and I had a heart attack.
My arms and legs became tingly and numb,
then my chest got tighter,
and then my heart felt like it was being crushed.
So I sang out to God and Jesus,
about my pain, my feelings,
my faults and my inabilities.
As I sang, I began to feel like a river,
and a hand was on my back,
it's fingers where skimming the surface,
separating the waters,
causing ripples through my body.
Then the hand reached inside my chest,
lit my heart on fire,
and the heat moved like waves through my body.
When I was done singing,
all the pain was gone,
and I looked at the clock,
it was past 1am,
I had been singing near an hour.
Then the voice of my guardian angel called my name from above,
and there was a hymn of energy in the air,
the same hymn I hear in my dreams of God.
Hallelujah to the Lord my God for healing my heart!
Hallelujah for His son Jesus for saving my soul!
Hallelujah for every day!
Hallelujah for every breath!

so that you have the will and strength to turn from selfish sins,
and flee from the slaveries of the flesh!

He opened the video by saying that when we vote, we should vote for what is righteous. He's not saying to turn a blind eye towards politics.
But there's free will to respond to specifics as u confront them
That is what I have been contemplating.

Sadly, the right is wicked as well. Which is why our battles are spiritual in nature. A leader on the "left" is only in office because God allowed it. John 19:11
Todd I beg you to have Doug Wilson come on your show for an interview on this topic. I believe he is the best spokesman for the Christian nationalism side of the debate. This topic is much more nuanced than a 10 minute UA-cam video. Thank you Todd for what you do for the kingdom.
I doubt...but it would be great.
Yeah a conversation between these groups would be beneficial.

This country was founded by Christians, with Biblical principles.
I will do my part to try and protect it.
Actually, it was founded by Freemasons.
Nope. Free masons founded this country. If you don't see it, you aren't looking.

It was literally not
Thank you, Todd… and to Dr. MacArthur.
Good take by Dr. MacArthur.
I admittedly have a negative knee jerk reaction against the term “Zionist” but find myself in agreement with you

I think I agree with Doug Wilson in this issue.
Me too. On most issues.

Definitely
Who is Doug Wilson? If he has an alternate viewpoint then maybe I need to listen to him...as long as he is not NAR.
We DID create this government, and it is being wrestled away from us by principalities & powers, just like it had been to Israel & Judea!
I don't care what some random scribe added to Romans 13, even if it really was Paul (and it almost certainly wasn't).
Awesome application, thanks
The only time we disobey government is when they tell us to disobey God .

this is where I diverge from Todd and JMac. We don't have a choice. Christ is king -period. We're not talking about forcing people to be Christians, but rather giving presence and priority to Christ.
What's the alternative? Atheism? Hinduism?
Matthew 28 is clear we are to baptize and teach the nations
Many alternatives.
Yet, you ought to avoid more unproven god beliefs like Christianity.
The church is called to be salt & light. So don't we have then a call to use that light in our country?
Christ telling His followers to be salt and light has nothing to do with being involved in politics. It really just emphasizes what i said about religious voters trying to enforce their own will by claiming it's God's will. Christ was clearly talking about how a Christian should show God's character to the world through the way they live. It is obviously not a call to be involved in this world's politics when He wasn't.
Yes, always let your light shine in whatever country you happen to be living in, but do not allow

Scripture is very clear on this point:

Have you read our Declaration of Independence lately? How about the Bill of Rights? So, you've got the Love God part down really well...but you lack at the love people part.
@chapmaned24 I'm not sure how you got I don't care about people. Because I do. I do love the country I live in. I'm not sure it's run by "We the people" anymore. Very sad to say. Although it is run by some, I suppose, and they make me nervous! Anyway, I do care about people. I can only do for those around me. Have a good day.

We left England because the church persecuted other Christian’s who did not believe in the state mandated denomination. Hence the whole “separation of church and state”.
@@jehovahsthickness6242 It's not hate driving the movement, so that part of your argument can be dismissed. It might not support your thesis.

"My kingdom is not of this world."
Okay, we agree on that...but that doesn't mean we, as a nation and society, cannot or should have our Christian faith as a focal point of identity and the main reference point for our morality and law.

Morality needs faith to give it form and outline what is right and wrong as well as the rights men and women should have ("We hold these truth's to be self-evident" after all).

Draw together the dots linking Christian nationalism and Dispensational Eschatology. This should be interesting and fun.
There is no definition of Christian nationalism. It’s not a term I’d choose, but I can roll with it. It’s far preferable to pagan nationalism.
I’m glad that the early Christians didn’t accept the defeatist attitude promoted by MacArthur.
If Christian nationalism is not biblical, then wouldn't it be pagan?
Honestly.
🎯🎯🎯
That is actually borderline racist. I don't say that often, but if I read you correctly it needs to be said here.
First of all, Genesis was never meant to be taken literally. Second, Genesis 11 contains no mention of God creating an ethnic nation system.
@@crystalvulpine2314Doug Wilson and Stephen Wolfe are globalists?
Ah crystal I disagree whole heartedly with your take on genesis, it is to be taken literally and the confusion God instituted at the tower of babel put the different ethnicities in the world. Different languages and I believe skin tone variations came from that time as well.
@@judipark231 Different languages, not ethnicities.
If it's to be taken literally, why don't Jesus and the esrliest Christians take it literally?
Does Jesus care about foul language in the public and grooming children for sex
Christian nationalism simply means to implement laws that are in accord with best practices based on Christian faith because the people in office and the people who have voted for the people in office are actual christians.
And for certain John has been wrong.

Render to Caesar that things that are to Caesar's and to God the things that is to God.

That is false and morbid.

I'm a bit confused. At the 3:12 mark, Dr. MacArthur mentioned nations described as "Communist", "Muslim" and "Atheist", but he asserts that a nation cannot be described as Christian? The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 5v12 said "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church?". Meaning I believe, we have no mandate to legislate righteousness in the secular world. Had that verse but been obeyed by people claiming to be Christians, a lot of blood shed and senseless argument might have been avoided.
Can you post the link to the full lesson from John MacArthur?
Post-trib, pre-wrath rapture? If the tribulation is not the wrath of God, what is? I cannot make it make sense. Is it an auto-correct typo?

It's primarily from the books of the Kings.
The sins which sent Israel and Judah into exile were both introduced by their kings. (Jeroboam's calves, which was never removed, and Manasseh, which was the tipping point when God decided to send Judah into exile)
Furthermore, in many (though not every) case, the government was one of the leading voices and forces behind reformation (think Hezekiah, Jehoshaphat, and, while Josiah himself was the Godliest king in Judah, his reforms didn't turn the hearts of the people. The reverse was also true in Judah, where the usurper Athaliah was overthrown by a popular revolt led by the priests and levited, and the rightful king (Joash) restored.
There is interplay, but it's not structural (think Uzziah's downfall).
Popular revival will have an impact on the government.
The decrees of Caesar (Godly or no) will have an impact on the church (MacArthur himself will probably testify to this.)

Should we desire that our nation be Christian?
Yes, not just ours, but all the world. (Through preaching, not the sword)

Do ungodly leaders hinder Christ's kingdom?
Yes and no.
No in that, in the end, "I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Also "the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church "
Yes in the sense that it may cause many to become unfaithful and/or apostatize, as it did with Jeroboam and Manasseh.
