As a floridian with just 28 credits, expedition everest is a banger. It's surprisingly intense for a Disney coaster, and I actually prefer it to flight of passage in the same park.
F.L.Y will never leave my Top 3, it is amazing. I hope you will get a Nightride once. Lech coaster really is that intense, but those intense Gs are also very sustained in all the valleys and sometimes even the inversions and overbanks... it just doesnt let you breath. It had no line when we were there yet we had to take breaks every few rides. Hals über Kopf has the best restraints for an invert, you are so open to all side but similar to what Formula was for Abyssus i think Hals über Kopf was only the beginning. I love new Vekoma and i hope that there will be much more from them
Let's not forget F.L.Y.'s unique boarding method, which has the track "sideways" and the seats rotated, so you can easily and comfortably get in and aren't left hanging at the final brake run until you make it all the way back to the station.
So far, I‘ve only been on 2 of the coasters on this list, these being number 10: Hals über Kopf and number 1: FLY. I visited Tripsdrill last weekend and got 5 rides on Hals über Kopf on different positions. In the back, the first drop gives some surprisingly good and sustained floater airtime with the rest of the layout being more floaty whilst in the back you only get a little airtime on the first drop but the rest felt way faster and more forceful. I really liked that coaster and would probably rank it somewhat higher. Especially for a smaller family park like Tripsdrill this is a perfect coaster. There isn’t much to say about FLY that hasn’t already been said, it’s just great in every aspect and definitely earned itself the number one spot.
I can definitely recommend Tron and Guardians Rewind - rode both earlier this month - they're in that just plain fun family coaster category. Everybody in our group loved them including the family member who is relatively cautious about what she'll ride, so they're not crazy intense or anything, but they're a good time.
This is the droids I was looking for! I love vekoma and up until now, I haven't seen any content like this that admits they are good with a list of their best models.
Good list! I finally went to Poland last week but unfortunately Lech Coaster was closed.. I did get to Energylandia tho and experienced all their coaster craziness for the first time and well.. Zadra might be the perfect ride.. (warmed up that is^^). But I also got to ride Formula and Abyssus and was honestly quite surprised by the forces they pull, both positive and negative. More about the strong airtime because I only heard people rave about the positives and oh boy there were. Probably didnt help that I havent eaten for 18 hrs prior but after abyssus I was knocked out for a solid hour lool. Gotta work on that.. overall I sure am not the biggest fan of positives so Im not sure how I would have liked Lechcoaster. Still probably a lot because of that first drop and crazy airtime. When it comes to Zadra I have a hard time seeing any ride beat that. Initially I was kinda disappointed because it hast warmed up for our first two rides and I was like.. is that what all the hype is about? I mean I can give points for layout and pacing but airtime and thrill wise it didnt really come close to expedition geforce. Well that all changed after our rides in the afternoon and I was left speechless. Every element hits like geforce`s first hill and man there are some nice elements. That first drop too.. I for now think its perfection, there is literally not a single element I would change. If there was only one rollercoaster in the entire world left Im sure I would pick Zadra. Which kinda spoils me because I just came back into coasters and now I have probably ridden the best in the world? And I only rode like 4-5 elite coasters overall.. Im still hyped tho for Voltron next year at my homepark Europapark and I will surely check out Iron Gwazi some day.
Aftershock is my current favorite Vekoma I've rode. Very fun ride and extremely intense. I've rode Firehawk and Nighthawk and the problem I have with Nighthawk are the corkscrews. They are rough and the outer seats on this coaster are way rougher than the inner seats. I didn't get that on my rides with Firehawk and from what I hear Batwing is the same as Firehawk. The plan is to get to Europe in August and Phantasialand is on the list so I would expect FLY to be my favorite Vekoma after this summer.
Vekoma is a company that is gonna sneak up and become an surprise like they have been doing so far. Good list I wish to ride some of these Great Nor Eastern is probably my favorite on your list that I’ve ridden.
I've only ridden bad SLCs but Great Nor' Easter isn't the only good one: there's the biggest one in England that's good too. The double looping fly to lie followed by lie to to fly on Nighthawk is amazing but the corkscrew made it a one and done for me; perhaps I ought to have ridden it in car 4 instead of 6 (the back car which is what I rode it in). It also had extremely slow ops, since it only was running one train, not to mention that beyond the top four coasters at Carowinds and Nighthawk: only Ricochet, Hurler and Carolina Goldrusher were operating when I was there. F.L.I. looks to me to be the best Flying coaster in the world as well as the best Vekoma. Thanks for posting!
I feel like the only person who genuinely thinks that SLCs are WORSE with vests. I kinked my neck in 2 places on Riddler. I didn't even think that was possible, but it is, apparently.
My current favourite vekoma is between abyss and formula depends on the day on one hand formula is amazing and full of ejector airtime but then so is abyssus and its longer but not as powerful either but I bey lech would've been better than them all but legendia couldn't be bothered to open it on there opening day for the season
fly is fun. it's really worth the extra wait to go in the front. the airtime was one of the strangest i felt in a coaster. but the back seat was absolutely terrible. ( some disagree ) the awesome 2 gear launch gets totally ruined there because you feel like it slams on the brakes. instead of the great airtime you get pushed through your restraint and slammed around the turns. so yeah.. awesome in the front uncomfortable in the back. still, i won't disagree with the list as is :)
Renegade model... Top gun model.. Firestorm model and super boomerang look great But are in asia and nobody from bigger western channels rode them to give us a review
So happy to see my old Deja Vu getting some love, considering Six FLags GA was far too cheap and lazy to actually take care of it, and it was down constantly. I love that ride almost as much as Shockwave❕
I love batwing but its broken 65% of the times I visit. Six Flags America has terrible maintenance in general. This has been a problem even before Six Flags bought it and it didn't really improve when they did take over.
is fly more comfortable than B&M flyers? I tend to skip them now a days as it feels like I'm.wearing straight jacket and find my self can't waiting for the ride to be over to get let out.
I found the restraints quite uncomfortable on FLY. It put me off re-riding it. Shame, because it's themed so well. If it was a normal sit down I would have really liked it.
I really don't like fly. Yeah, Theming is 10/10, but the seating position is so much worse than than on b&m flyers. Intensity just is kinda uncomfortable to me on these seats, and flying dino just was a lot more intense in general. That is the best flying coaster in my opinion! Also fly should have atleast one element on your back
F.L.Y. is definitely the best Vekoma and is a top coaster. I don't like Abyssus at all. I think it's a great design flaw (breaks before the looping). The whole design is just meandering and no fun at all. Also I do not like the restraints.
Agreed!!! Fly is just the best of the best! From how comfortable it is to get on board, to the entire experience itself. It’s incredible!!
Great video! These are all great coasters! I hope you get to 20 K subs soon!

The 3 best Vekoma coasters I’ve done are
1. Lech Coaster
2. F.L.Y.
3. Abyssus
Let's not forget F.L.Y.'s unique boarding method, which has the track "sideways" and the seats rotated, so you can easily and comfortably get in and aren't left hanging at the final brake run until you make it all the way back to the station.
I love F.L.Y. 😍 and I'm not just saying that because it's the only ride on this list i've ridden 😅

guardians is awesome but torn is a huge disappointment honestly
@@traviscrawford6516 What did you not like about it? We thought it was fun.
Solid list! You’ll definitely enjoy Cosmic Rewind!
I totally agree with your #1! F.L.Y. is the best coaster I've ever ridden ❤
The world needs more flying coasters :) They are my favorite
As a dutch person, this company is our only pride
Come a very long way. Congrats under. NEw ownership
I have the only one of two bat wings lie to fly six flags america.
Isn't Germany a nice country?
Wtf are you kidding me? Really?
Kmg rides 😎

For me, vekoma makes the best rollecoasters
The old Vekoma tracks looks so nostalgic
One of my personal favourites will always be the Vekoma Illusion Coaster model
Just a fun family ride
Aftershock is my current favorite Vekoma I've rode. Very fun ride and extremely intense. I've rode Firehawk and Nighthawk and the problem I have with Nighthawk are the corkscrews. You'll have to come to the UK at somepoint we have 2 unique SLC's in Kumali and Odyssey with completely unique layouts
Its a good thing Phantasialand is just a 2 hour drive for me . Next year I’m going to USA probably visit Six Flags Magic Mountain
Vekoma is a company that is gonna sneak up and become an surprise like they have been doing so far. Good list I wish to ride some of these Great Nor Eastern is probably my favorite on your list that I’ve ridden.
F.L.Y is my number one coaster. I just really want some new age vekoma coasters opening in the Netherlands
I rode Goliath before it closed and that was one of the most intense coaster experiences I’ve ever had. Aftershock seems very intense as well.
F.L.Y. is a banger fr
I've only ridden bad SLCs but Great Nor' Easter isn't the only good one: there's the biggest one in England that's good too.

Edit: I love this intro

My fav vekoma is either tron or guardians
both are on my bucket list

I’ve been on the over Georgia one and I loved it, these coasters just didn’t work out for six flags at all
Never got the chance to ride Deja Vu when it was at SFGAm. Now I wish I had made the effort!
DejaVu was also at Six Flags Magic Mountain (Los Angeles) for awhile but got moved.
At 1:30 my subtitles said ‘wallaby’ instead of ‘walibi’
I love batwing but its broken 65% of the times I visit. Six Flags America has terrible maintenance in general. This has been a problem even before Six Flags bought it and it didn't really improve when they did take over.
Personally I don't like F.L.Y. mainly due to the riding position. But I must agree, technically it's a masterpiece.
Veld Koning Maschienfabriek
or something like that
is fly more comfortable than B&M flyers? I tend to skip them now a days as it feels like I'm.wearing straight jacket and find my self can't waiting for the ride to be over to get let out.
I’d absolutely say so!
Nicely done
Batwing is terrible at six flags America bc of slow dispatch times and the ride breaking down as soon as it’s your turn to get on
Vekomas have gotten a lot better
sooo much better.
I think Goliath at Six flags magic mountain is better than Nighthawk
I found the restraints quite uncomfortable on FLY. It put me off re-riding it. Shame, because it's themed so well. If it was a normal sit down I would have really liked it.

Nighthawk needs to be torn down! It's awful.
