Definitely shark diving is one of the top things on my 'things I wanna do before I die' list... They're so elegant and majestic, deadly yet beautiful creatures! Thanks for this video! 😍🦈
I did a shark dive once while I was in the Bahamas, and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced. This video definitely makes me want to keep doing more of them!
I came across your Channel a few years back absolutely terrified of deep water. (I almost drowned as a kid.) but just last year I overcame that fear. I was out on a lake in Chile we still don't know the depth... but I would go float on my back and pray and meditate, doing box breathing to keep my heart rate down. It was like a switch flipped I overcame my fear of the deep water for the most part, and began to swim across the lake. A week later I had to save someone that was drowning in the same lake. Your videos have constantly inspired me. My wife and I will be going to Bible School in Hawaii, and so I decided to take it a step farther and become a dive instructor to pay our living expenses in Hawaii. Watching your videos has really really helped me, and I cannot thank you enough. I have just taken a job as a swim instructor and gotten re-certified as a lifeguard for the first time in 12 years. This job is my first major stepping stone to becoming a Dive Instructor. There is a 17 foot deep Olympic diving pool at my work where I am now practicing my free diving by picking up the hair bracelets and towels the divers leave behind. Thank you so much, Mr. Bird! I cannot thank you enough for your inspiration. PLEASE! Any advice or tips or anything you might have I am all ears!! God Bless!!
Very cool. That open clear blue water is like heaven. Shark diving is on my bucket list.....oceanic white tips, mako, blues. Open water sharks would be so neat to see in their environment.
Hey Jonathan! I have been watching you since I was little with my dad, and now I'm a senior in highschool and I am graduating in a month or so... I found myself revisiting all of my favourite videos from you and even watching some new ones. You were a big part of my life growing up, and I even got the opportunity to swim with sharks awhile back. I was familliar with the species because of you, and I wasn't scared! Thankyou for having such a big impact on my life. I've always credited you for my interest in marine biology, and sharks. You are awesome and I've always wanted to reach out and tell you how comforting your content is. I love you Jonathan!!! (P.S Not sure if you check comments, but I think 7 year old Jenna would freak out if she ever found out I talked to you. Lol, childhood dream would be accomplished!)
Hey Jenna, I read all the comments every day (UA-cam puts them all in once place for me to check) unless I'm traveling. Thank you so much for your kind words. It means so much to me to know that our videos have a positive effect on people. Let me know what you end up doing for college!
That was indeed a "sharktacular" dive!! I loved the way you explain why sharks are so very important to our oceans 💙. My son and I have a favorite story "If Sharks Disappeared, " by Lily Williams; it is very well written and he understands how amazing sharks are. He wants to go diving one day with all of them...and take mom along.
As always amazing video Johnathan.. Its very sweet of you for showering such great love towards sharks and creating awareness about sharks..they really are not monsters as shown films but they are curious and intelligent guardians of the ocean..
Another beautiful 10 minutes in the blue world, fully dedicated to sharks this time. Beautiful and, to me, almost relaxing. Would have liked to be there, even though It would make me rather tense. Sharks a big majestic look, and give an ominous impression. But my feeling is getting stronger that they are more reliable and predictable than lions and tigers.
I am starting an internship working with sharks in a few months and this content is the perfect way to tide me over until i get to step on the boat myself
Awesome video, as usual! And you got to see two species on one dive. Lemon sharks, by themselves, would be worth a dive! And you also got to see bull sharks. Nice!
Jonathan!!! Thanks for being an inspiration! I love the sea since I was little. Sailing and snorkelling is my daily at summer... Now I’m taking the Open Water dive course thanks to you! Hope to see those amazing places and creatures closer!
I would prefer goggles instead sunglasses, for myself or other people. Are you, Jonathan, the only diver with a double hose? Is there no one else but Zach who's gone on dive with you before, here?
Sharktaculous is right! I'd be just barely brave enough to go on a shark dive like this with pro's. It is very interesting and enjoyable to watch all the diving with shark videos on the BlueWorlTV channel.👍🧡
You inspired me to go diving and explore our oceans since I was 5 now I am finally going to go diving! My dream is to explore the world reefs and seas like you.
I've been watching Jonathan's videos for a few years now and while I have subscriptions throughout UA-cam, this channel is my personal favorite and Jonathan's passion for the ocean is like my passion for the Chesapeake Bay, infectious! To add to his list of sharks he's filmed, Whale sharks, I believe in the wild and I'm certain at Georgia Aquarium, he's also filmed the shark with the longest tail in the Thresher, and we can't forget the Greenland Sharks but my favorite so far was Zebra Sharks in Oman. This episode also provided me with a new appreciation for Bull Sharks, I called Jonathan nuts a couple years ago for swimming with them but I'm glad to say I can now take that comment back. Hopefully Jonathan does an episode filming another giant shark of the ocean, the Basking Shark! Stay safe and healthy Jonathan!
Absolutely loved this video well I love all of them😆 BUT what you said in the very end about these amazing creatures is so so absolutely TRUE 200%!!! And it was worded perfectly! ❤🦈
It sure would be cool to see some Bull Shark up close & personally ( but safely ),but I'm just glad Jonathan was able to do it cause he's a cool dude, and I love this channel. And hope u have a good day.
You gotta go after the Megamouth Shark one day, they've been spotted in shallow waters off Japan and Indonesia recently so head there when things clear up. That has to be your dream encounter/video right?
If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t get my advanced open water certificate, and you still keep inspiring me to this day to go further. Love your content keep it up.👍
Hi Jonathan i am your biggest fan! Your videos are the best its always been my dream to dive with you Ive been watching your videos for 6 years there all so good!
As a diver, I would love to swim with sharks. The pandemic has put a kybosh on our travels around the world, should have been on the Great Barrier again this year... just a dream now...
I will say this about the line at the end, I have watched almost all of the videos here (I love them all). You have made me want to learn how to scuba dive. I hope to go with my dad he has a degree in marine biology and used to dive however, he decided to join the military instead. Hopefully he has more time now that he’s retired!
Thanks JB. 👍 Hello from Orlando. 🌴👣🌴 As a scub diver in Florida, I think it's a good idea NOT to feed sharks. It's the same reason for NOT feeding bears.
I agree with Time Warped. I did one of these shark dives a couple of years ago. Before going out I did a dive with one of the local charters that I loved (RIP Pompano Dive Center). I overheard a conversation between the DM and one of the other customers. They were talking spear fishing and he mentioned that he didn't spear off of WPB because all the sharks are trained to associate divers with food. While on the shark dive the next day, I noticed a strange behavior, while the sharks did approach all the divers, they were particularly active around one dude that had a GoPro on a selfie stick. And then the DM speared a fish that he wanted to keep not just feed to the sharks. Well unlike spearos on my side of Florida, after he speared the fished he made an immediate ascent to the surface, as otherwise he would've be swarmed by sharks. While he was taking the fish to the boat, I noticed while they were paying so much attention to selfie stick dude. While the DM was gone they were constantly biting at the pole spear that he used to feed the sharks sometimes and they probably think the selfie stick is a pole spear. So I enjoyed the dive, I came away with a distinct feeling that we are very much negatively affecting the sharks.

@@BlueWorldTV It sure is! I cant wait to go diving by the red sea just waiting for my dive instructor to plan the trip for us since were young.
I went diving in South Padre Island, TX i saw a Bull shark and some Green Sea Turtles but my favorite shark i saw while diving was a GREAT HAMMERHEAD!
Nice
I love Shark too!
I heard bull sharks have the most testosterone of any shark and are therefore the most aggressive. What a difference!
They also can live in freshwater! (Edit don’t know if it was mentioned in video)
I wonder how they handle the osmotic pressure difference? Time to go hunt for very specific journal articles

Hello from Orlando. 🌴👣🌴
As a scub diver in Florida, I think it's a good idea NOT to feed sharks. It's the same reason for NOT feeding bears.
There are arguments for it in this case. Bringing awareness to shark conservation requires getting the sharks to come close.
