    0:10 - X-Wing
The Incom T-65 X-Wing is the fighter that killed the Death Star. An almost perfect balance of speed, maneuverability and defensive shields makes this the fighter of choice for Rogue Squadron, except when the mission profile disallows it. In addition to four blaster cannons, the X-Wing can carry a number of proton torpedoes. It’s powered by four fusial thrust engines, and requires an onboard Astromech droid for peak performance.
    3:57 - A-Wing
The A-Wing is the fastest fighter we have, capable of matching a TIE Interceptor in speed. Twin J-77 Event Horizon Engines power the craft, and twin blaster cannons provide offensive weaponry. However, what we gain in speed, we lose in defense. The deflector shield capability is significantly less than the X-Wing. So make sure you use your speed to dodge lasers, rather than relying on shields. The A-Wing also carries a limited number of concussion missiles.
    6:04 - Snowspeeder
The Snowspeeder, modified with armor plating, stronger outboard laser cannons and a harpoon tow cable for the rear gunner is not a true flight craft, but a repulsor craft, so the flight ceiling is quite low. It hugs the ground well and is also quite maneuverable, but the addition of deflector shields was deemed costly and time consuming, so watch yourself. The controls are quite similar to the X-Wing, so don’t worry about additional training.
    9:38 - Y-Wing
The Y-Wing is the workhorse of the Rebel Fleet. It’s not quick or flashy but it gets the job done. The armor on this ship is extensive, and the shields will protect you from just about anything. Which is good, because you won’t be going anywhere fast. The Y-Wing is used mainly as a bomber because it can carry a heavy payload of missiles, torpedoes and bombs. The other important weapon is the topside Ion Cannon, which rather than destroying a target, can disable it for later capture. Our cannons have a computer assisted auto-fire feature, so don’t forget that when you're in the heat of battle.
    12:19 - V-Wing
This is a new craft-- fast, light, and unpredictable. The V-Wing carries two blaster cannons that can be fired at a normal rate, or in the rapid-fire position. Rapid-fire is useful for strafing ground targets, but it overloads the cooling units and can often cause a complete burnout. In addition, the thrust engines have been modified to supply an incredible amount of power over a short distance. This is generally used to evacuate a pilot from a dangerous area as the V-Wing carries no shields and very little armament. That said, the V-Wing is extremely nimble and stealthy, and is an even match for most adversaries.
    13:19 - Millennium Falcon
    (Rouge Squadron description)
THIS is a Corellian YT-1300 freighter. I don't know where this ship came from, but it is NOT within the set parameters for a civilian transport. It has been illegally modified with two quad guns, one mounted cannon, a completely new sub-light engine, several stealth and communications jamming additions, AND a secret large cargo area. Not the prettiest ship, but an excellent choice IF you're a smuggler.
(Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike description)
An illegally modified Corellian engineered YT-1300 transport, the Millennium Falcon, is one of the most formidable star ships in the galaxy. Owned and piloted by Han Solo and his Wookiee partner Chewbacca, the Falcon supports a top of the line Imperial deflector shield system, two quad-laser cannons, and two concussion missile launchers, along with a retractable light laser cannon. The star ship is also equipped with an incredible Class .5 Hyperdrive system.
    15:30 - TIE Interceptor
A flight of Y-Wings captured this TIE Interceptor. Hobbie helped us decipher it's various flight components. It is extremely agile, and along with the TIE Fighter, completely unshielded. It sports four laser cannons at the tips of it's wings, and is so maneuverable, a skilled pilot can literally fly circles around an X-Wing. Should be interesting to see what Rebel pilots can do with this kind of technology.
    16:29 - Naboo Starfighter
The fast, agile starfighters used by the Naboo Spacefighter Corps, the N-1 is armed with twin laser cannons, and a full compliment of proton torpedoes. However, the vehicle is reserved for routine patrols and escorting the Queen’s starship to other worlds. Designed by Naboo engineers, the N-1 incorporates many Nubian components, including a Monarch C-4 Hyperdrive. The starfighter also utilizes a standard Astromech droid to assist with navigation and in-flight repairs.
    18:07 - Buick/Rudy's Car/Car
This classic convertible is a relic from a galaxy far, far away. Equipped with cluster seeker missiles, this heavily armored vehicle is perfect for beating the poodoo out of any Imperial forces.
    19:16 - B-Wing
One of the Rebellion's most well armed starfighters, the B-Wing, has been personally designed by Admiral Akbar. The B-Wing supports an array of weapons including ion cannons, proton torpedo launchers and laser cannons. Because the cockpit is surrounded by a unique gyro-stabilization system, the pilot always remains stationary, even as the rest of the ship rotates during flight.
    20:15 - TIE Fighter
The first in a series of advanced twin ION engine star fighters, the original TIE Fighter was developed by Sianard Fleetsystems. The agile single pilot craft has a titanium alloy hull and quadanium steel armored solar panels, but lacks a deflector shield and primary life support systems. The TIE fighter is intended to be used as a short range attack craft, launching from near by Imperial installations. TIE Fighters typically attack in swarms, to overwhelm their opponents.
    21:39 - Slave I
The personal starship of bounty hunter Boba Fett: Slave I is a drastically altered fire spray class patrol craft. The starfighter has been rebuilt with holding cells, a dedicated tracking system, improved deflector shields, a massive hyperdrive engine, and numerous concealed weapons. The craft is unusual because it flies upright with the pilot standing at the vehicles controls as Slave I cruises through the galaxy at speeds comparable to those of an Alliance Y-Wing bomber.
    22:42 - TIE Advanced
The prototype star fighter used by Darth Vader at the Battle of Yavin, and the basis for the frighteningly efficient TIE Interceptor, the TIE Advanced X1 is easily recognizable due to its distinctive bent wings. Unlike all other TIE Fighters, the prototype is equipped with a deflector shield generator, and a modest hyperdrive system. The TIE Advanced is armed with fixed twin heavy blaster cannons, but has no life support systems.
    23:45 - Imperial Shuttle
The Lambda-class shuttle was designed to swiftly transport Imperial personnel and cargo between starships and various installations across the galaxy. Sianard Fleetsystems built the shuttles to carry up to twenty passengers in relative safety, protected by standard reinforced hull plating and multiple shield generators. The Lambda-class is also armed with several laser cannons, and equipped with a hyperdrive for travel between fleets and systems. The starship was designed for a four person crew, with two additional positions for communications and power regulation.
    24:36 - TIE Hunter
Commissioned by the Empire's elite Storm Commando Corps, the TIE Hunter is an experimental fighter that sacrifices armor and firepower for flight speed. It is equipped with twin laser cannons, a proton torpedo launcher and an ion cannon. The design of this new craft integrates the folding S-foil design of an X-Wing into the form of a TIE Interceptor. However, the high speed closed wing configuration reduces the solar panel surface area so dramatically, that no weapons can be fired while the wings are in a closed position. All available energy is transferred to the craft's twin ion engines.
    25:33 - TIE Bomber
These Imperial assault starships primarily make strategic strikes against surface and deep space targets. TIE Bombers are slower and less maneuverable than standard TIE Fighters, but can carry immense payloads of proton bombs and other explosives. Featuring heavy armor which all other TIE class starfighers lack, TIE Bombers also have a two-man seating capacity and a built-in targeting computer. TIE Bombers are primarily used to disable capital ships and assault ground targets.
    26:19 - Jedi Starfighter
In order to better police the galaxy, the Jedi of the Old Republic utilized a fast, agile starfighter with twin laser cannons. Although the so called "Jedi Starfighter" lacks a hyperdrive, it can dock with a hyperdrive carrier for transport across the galaxy.

    This is it.
This is from the era of Star Wars games back when the games were still made with some real passion. From the way the craft were all modeled (which still look great in my opinion, even the old Rogue Squadron ones, they have first person cockpits too!), to the audio descriptions of each ones. I just love how these older games feel like they were made by talented geeks who had a serious interest in the material instead of the far more commercialized products that we get now. Star Wars games are basically dead now.

Words cannot express how significantly out-of-touch you really are. There is quite a lot of good to be had in the franchise today and it's bigger than ever, and the likes of Lego Star Wars, Jedi Fallen Order and the new Battlefront and Squadron games shows that there still some magic left only with the right talent and the more significant projects(DICE's BF2) had its ups and downs over the years but they redeem themselves with time. Your biased and lack of moral research in Star Wars games being "dead" is very much wrong and disturbing, and you call yourself a Star Wars fan? Please.

The B-Wing has a lot more firepower, but it often requires fighter escort, and is very high maintenance. Especially for the cash strapped rebel alliance.
The Y-wing was a clone war relic that could be bought for cheap, easily maintained and sent unescorted on starfighter raids. While she's not much of a dogfighter either, she's more likely to be able to handle herself against the cheap tie fighters of the empire.
The Y-Wing took on a fighter bomber that has shares many of parallels to the real life F-100 super sabre, whiche flew as a fighter in Korea and a bomber in Vietnam after becoming america's first mass produced supersonic aircraft.

@@wilhufftarkin8543 *sniff sniff* Smells like..... Disney Canon. Before the dark times, before the empire, the difference between the models was explained thusly: "The design had many flaws and required constant maintenance. The Y-wing was originally entirely sheathed in an aerodynamic, elegant fuselage, but its high-maintenance nature led to many aggravated maintenance crews getting fed up with constantly having to remove the superficial hull plating and disposing of it altogether. Due to this, many Y-wings had no hull plating (except on the cockpit), exposing the internals of the main hull. Pilots found that this lightened the frame and kept components cooler, noticeably boosting performance."
That's a direct quote from the essential guide to warfare. That said, it's a fantasy tale in space, so feel free to believe whichever cannon makes sense to you. We're all star wars fans at the end of the day.

@@spartenkiller456 The difference between the models was already a thing in Legends. In the Incredible Cross Sections (I own the pre-Disney one) there's a depiction of what a Rebel BTL-A4 Y-wing would have looked like with its hull plating intact. It looked completely different from the Clone Wars Y-wing. I mean even if you look at the Clone Wars Y-wing and imagine it without its hull platings, it still looks different from the Rebel Y-wing. I don't think it was ever intended to be the same thing.
Heck, the Clone Wars Y-wing itself is way more of a Disney Canon thing than a Legends thing anyway. It was introduced by TCW, which completely shat on already established Lore and which was the foundation of Disney Canon. TCW effectively is proto-Disney Canon.
Having said that, I would have loved if they showed us Clone Wars era Y-wings that actually looked like they could have been "intact" Rebel Y-wings. The Y-wing is supposed to be an old ship after all, so it mmakes sense that it was used in the Clone Wars. Especially since the Republic didn't really have any other dedicated fighter bomber.
